2641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of Baccarat on: November 07, 2022, 06:12:06 AM
Another history of a game thread. So far the history of this game is more brutal than poker which the cowboys are willing to draw thier guns if they suspect the guy on the other side is cheating. Bacarrat is more like Russian Roulette, you die when you lose.

Where do you get that from? I haven't seen anything indicating that in the article the OP links to. It does talk about a legend that I believe is just that, simply a legend that didn't happen in the real world about:

Quote
It is believed that the Italian game of baccara was based on the old Etruscan legend of a virgin who had to throw a nine-sided die. The result of the throw determined her fate. If she threw an 8 or a 9, then she was elevated to the glory of being a priestess. If she threw a 6 or 7, she was allowed to live but could not take part in any future religious or community events. If she threw lower than 6, she was banished to the sea to drown. Not a nice tale, perhaps, but from it came the initial rules of the card game of baccarat.

But nothing to indicate that the loser died throughout the article.

If she threw lower than 6, she was banished to the sea to drown.
That's dying. Russian Roulette is just a swift death but drowning seem is a painful death. But still, it's death after losing.

Today we still can bet against each player as side bets, especially offline. Not sure if we can do it in crypto casinos.
It is possible if there is a casino that wants to develop it and this will be player versus player or PvP, such as a dice game developed by one of the decentralized casinos into a PvP game.
The story of Bacarrat proves that gambling has been around for a long time, and the games in the casino are an old form of game but still fun to play.

It's usually the decentralized casino that does some innovations but it is however not a popular place for gamblers. Wouldn't having this feature in a popular casino cause more trouble when it comes to players complaining? They'd have to deal with issues where the house is not involved.

Regular people who find the convenience in bank online apps are hard to convince to take thier money out of the banks. They may learn what BTC is and invest in it but still return to what they're used to. For those who didn't listen despite all the advice and warnings, lessons are easy to learn when they experience them, and using their bills to wipe thier asses is way cheaper than the price of one toilet paper roll.

2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 06, 2022, 04:51:00 PM
A complete domination by Bivol, this is why I usually say an undefeated boxer with many fights are none if he fight with a champion who've risk his record to obtain belt. Sadly Bivol can't knock out Ramirez, it's either Bivol's power is decrease or Ramirez has a good body.

After this result, it's high likely next fight we will see Bivol fight with Canelo first and then Bivol might taking challenge to fight with Beterbiev.
A fight with canelo would be exciting.
I also assumed Ramirez would be at the upper hand last month. I was not fully aware of his career so I did my research on these two which gave me an expectation of the possible winner. But after what happened, stats alone won't really determine or even assure a win between a fight; there are really many things that could happen. Zurdo had a clean record as well and a higher KO rate but during the fight, the underdog began to 'bite'. Both fighters did great for the audiences even if it yield to a unanimous decision (most of us I bet, are waiting for a KO). On my perspective it was a close fight but for the judges, there's a domination on the end of Bivol which is reasonable if we would come into details. Still a great fight for both of them. But I'd probably start to put Bivol on my list of fighter to watch from now.

Canelo rematch would be preferred by its promoter too. It's the money to get that counts. Bivol is very confident in his skills, he retained his title for a long time. Both orthodox are better to watch against a southpaw, thier front foot is too uncomfortable to watch, Bivol has stepped on Zurdo's foot many times. After Bivol found his range, he suddenly just keep throwing combo very timely pushing Zurdo to a corner.
2645  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs Cannot Save Weak Currencies on: November 06, 2022, 03:49:20 PM
CBDCs are no more than fiat currency scams on steroids. As long as the current fiat system is not viable, then CBDCs are even less viable as they enable the government to engage in even more currency debasement. CBDCs cannot save weak currencies like the Ghanian Cedis, the Zimbabwean Dollar, the Venezuelan bolivar, the Argentine peso, or the Lebanese lira. The eNaira, Africa’s first central bank digital currency (CBDC) is a total failure and did not save the Nigerian fiat currency. Infact, there are a lot of bad things that come with CBDCs and countries should avoid it. What do you think. Do you have a dissenting opinion?

https://financialunderground.com/articles/another-big-cbdc-flop/

If you post this on social media, you might just be fact-checked. The fiat Ponzi wants to stay afloat so they meant to use the centralized system that can stop the people from having thier freedom. Nigerians have BTC as an option but China didn't have an option. It seems CBDC is not flopping on them.

of course, all the things said about CBDC can be a borderline for conspiracy theory, especially the surveillance and freezing of money if you are caught on social media opposing the government. We'll truth comes out already with Paypal's term.
2646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Sign to Adopt Bitcoin by Nigerian Government on: November 06, 2022, 02:38:33 PM
You seemed to have put words where there are none. The way you share the news, you made it look like it is all about Bitcoin. But based on the article, it isn't really about Bitcoin.

Sir the news is purely on Bitcoin, in Nigeria Bitcoin is the king of all the cryptocurrencies. Just that the news is talking about blockchain. And there is no way one is learning Bitcoin without learning blockchain. You must understand blockchain before using Bitcoin, that is where p2p come to play. Though your understanding is different from mine.

By the way, The news is not fake or false. The news is legit but we the Bitcoiners from the region are saying is that, it is not by mouth or broadcasting it on radio or television but let the government put the news in action. Let the training kick start as soon as possible. And also what some commentors have said is the truth, probably, it is because of the forthcoming election in the country they are bringing this initiative to lure the youth to vote for them but in a whatever way they, the government has known that Bitcoin is good for the youth, therefore, in a good time the implementation will come to pass.

Nigeria is a ground for experimentation of the Blockchain adoption but seems the trainees are not going to practice thier skills in Nigeria as they plan to send them to the London incubation program according to the article. And Craig Wright manages to insert his BSV with the help of NITDA.

There are lots of things to build in Nigeria as a developing country, those trainees I think should stay in Nigeria and develop more of what they have to enrich the country.
2647  Economy / Gambling / Re: I am opening a crypto casino / sportsbook what should we add? on: November 06, 2022, 02:16:17 PM
Hi well we are in the process of opening a crypto casino and sportsbook we hope is ready in one month

Some features of our casino / sportsbook:
1) 100% anonymous we are never going to ask you for any personal info or KYC BS it doesn't matter the amount
2) we are also going to have a live casino
3) we are going to accept privacy coins like XMR
4) You can place bets over the phone 24/7
5) Is going to be available worldwide

what else should we add?

Let us know Smiley

I am quoting your original post OP, so that you cannot edit it in the future or remove it, when you implement full KYC requirements. I am doing this, because a lot of "new" casinos come with promises like this ..and the moment when they have acquired enough gamblers, they start asking for KYC verification. (changing the business model into a legitimate operation)

The "new" casinos do this, because they are building the Bankroll in the early stages and they also build a user base. Then the regulators take notice and they panic and they are forced to implement KYC requirements.  Roll Eyes

Bankroll might just too be early. No one trusts anyone easily.

Once you add everything that is suggested and your casino is up and running, that's where all the challenge is because the next to add something that you can't just put through lines of code. That's when you need to build trust and this includes proving you won't be scamming gamblers' money.
2648  Economy / Exchanges / Re: $ Buying crypto to casino without KYC and fast $ on: November 06, 2022, 02:06:08 PM

The domain is about to expire?  That's a red flag.
So many options to buy BTC anonymously but choosing this method is a lot risky. The currency exchange subforum is a lot safer as long as you make contact with a reputable user.

I don't know how the site works but if you as a buyer send your USD first, you'd be at a disadvantage. You may not receive the coins you bought.
2649  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptocurrency Casinos Are Ruling The Signature Campaign Here In Bitcointalk on: November 05, 2022, 03:55:01 PM

I think it will continue until google Adwords starts accepting gambling-related ads which is highly unlikely. Google back in 2018 if I remember bans crypto-related ads that also affected the crypto market in the bear market. One reason I believe casinos advertised in the forum is that demographics tell them that the target users are in the forum as well.
2650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can FTX Token Beat Its All-time High Of $100? on: November 05, 2022, 03:43:06 PM

Lucky for those who have bought FTT from the start. It's a wonder though that the token has a very low volume compared to BNB which basically just has the same use case if you are a trader.

I wouldn't really try going to FTX exchange only to trade BTC/USDT when I have already submitted docs to Binance. It would just add to the risk I took.
SBF is linked to Alameda Research by the way that has had lots of controversial activity in the past.
2651  Economy / Economics / Re: LMAO: Santander UK bank puts limits to buy bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. on: November 05, 2022, 02:51:02 PM

Keeping the money of the depositors in the guise of protecting them from the crypto scam. That's a nice gesture and people will fall for it too.
They limit £1,000 and by the time they keep their money in the bank for a long time, their purchasing power also goes down.

Crypto is such a threat to banks and they know it when people's money is handled by people on thier own without needing a bank.
2652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WOW, WHY AM I SO HAPPY 😍 on: November 05, 2022, 01:33:53 PM
The bull run is here. ALTCOINS are going to blow up soon.. Happy to see some of my alts I bought on FAMEEX are just pumping. Matic and optimism just making me smile this morning

I also feel happy seeing those coins like Doge that I tried holding on to months ago. Glad to see it fly after all. Maybe we really had hit the rough rock bottom of the market.

Crypto holders speculate there will be dumps after the FOMC announcement, but there is an opposite reaction to crypto instead while the stocks did the expected.
2653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live blackjack in the US? on: November 05, 2022, 01:21:46 PM

One platform that had been promoted in the forum for months was https://blackjack.fun I'm not sure if this is accessible in your area but most likely you can with VPN. UI isn't so bad too.

If you mean normal users like not depositing $100K and withdrawing $100K also I guess this casino won't be asking KYC.
2654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 04, 2022, 05:18:40 AM
For a newbie Yes particularly those who bought at the top like $69K. But even those who bought at $18k could sell after 3-4years but most importantly sell when they know they have profited. It's easy to trade in short-term when there is a bull run which a newbie can try buying back every dip.

If you invest for long term but you keep watching the market, you might have to do it short term too. Be a day trader. Watching prices is addictive.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: November 04, 2022, 04:57:31 AM

Brendan Fraser is the favorite over everyone for best actor? I am shocked hehehe.

In any case, I will share the latest news updates if I see them.

And we didn't see him this good in his previous films. It's a really painful performance and for someone watching it is very touching. His daughter adds the emotion when Charlie reconciles.  but I think the factor that made the whale good to watch is that people relate to the movie. You can see a lot of people must have seen themselves struggling with a body like Charlie's.

Brendan may actually win.

2656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of the Roulette Game on: November 04, 2022, 03:21:53 AM

Sometimes it still occurs in my head that I might win big and plays roulette sometimes. The realization comes back when 2-3 losses are over.

The 0 and 00 just make the house edge higher but players will not mind the two, all we see is red and black. It deceives our brain into thinking it's fair because there is only 2 noticeable color. Do you know why they didn't add 000?

2657  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you further your degree from school, or learn a new skill after college? on: November 04, 2022, 02:24:20 AM

Two college degree means the person really multiple interests. Some people discover thier passion late like 10 years after graduating from Business they suddenly have an interest in becoming a doctor. If he just learned his passion for curing and nursing patients, he likely wouldn't take a business degree.

It really is not a problem also if after graduating in business, he pursues a master of business administration (MBA).

But having multiple degrees and then starting again with another degree, then this guy will end up as a MASTER OF NONE.

2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 04, 2022, 01:15:42 AM
Am certain he was not being truth to say the wife would be lazy if she knew of the $$$, am sure his hiding his prize money from family and friends that are more likely to pester him for a share from those millions... But i like his costume it gives him some privacy and continuity of his old life style if he chooses to lay low!

If people learn you have $30M, everyone will pretend to be their long distant relative. It wouldn't even be surprising that even the old girlfriend of his dad comes claiming he has a brother. Turning down these relatives asking for handouts will only create tensions between them so its better to just keep things secret. In China, $30M is more than enough to live a high life.
2659  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: November 03, 2022, 04:56:06 AM
U.S. Military Personel has entered Ukrainian soil to "inspect" military installations. I believe if any of them was killed caused by the Russian military, then that gives the U.S. military the signal to join the war.
US has always been in this war from day 0 and before that not to mention that so far in the at least a dozen US military personal have been killed inside Ukraine ever since the this war started. US simply can not get more involved than this.

It was reported that this military personnel is there to audit the military armaments because they think the weapons are sold in the black market. Seem like 7 months ago they weren't concern about these weapons about where it goes but now they are.

It's pretty sure they are not just there to inspect but find out where to position themselves. This is just escalation and giving Putin the idea to blast them all.
2660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 03, 2022, 04:32:27 AM
I think it's reasonable to do so as he doesn't want his kids to be like other sons of Chinese tycoons driving around thier Ferraris and Lambos partying all night.

Money like that can make a person go crazy like they're above the law. We've seen rich people just laying around sunbathing on thier yacht and bribing officials. Maybe he doesn't want his kids and wife to be like them.  And also he protects his identity also, anyone can just visit his house if his identity is revealed.
