2641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Over-Speeding Kills, Always Slow Down When Driving A Car on: June 23, 2022, 09:53:07 PM
As if using your phone while driving isn't bad enough, our dude here was actually doing a crypto transaction while driving lmao. Carelessness is through the roof.
The outcome simply justify his wrong action. No one would expect that he won't create mistakes in his transaction as his mind is not focused on it, as he is also been driving in the road. Good thing he didn't met an accident, but to think what had happened to him is like a big crash in his life too, losing all his money instantly. He must have stopped from driving for a while and focused his eye on the phone as its not just a simple transaction. Hope everyone here learn a new lesson after reading the story.
2642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies: Don't panic and learn to hold on: June 23, 2022, 09:28:49 PM
This call is not just for newbies but this is for everybody. Maybe for old-timers, this is not hard but still, many of them have not appreciated the word HOLD, it is somehow they got influenced by their negativity. In fact, looking back on the surge of panic selling in the last bear season, it can't be possible if we still don't value this thing (hold) this time.

I think this was the time to open up our mind and think about what we can help the market as panic selling never contribute positively but rather seeing negative results. We don't just ask but to encourage everyone to become strong and let this bear season pass worrying about nothing.
The bear season will always come and go in the crypto market, so either we learn to adopt it, stay out of panic and just buy and hold, or just leave the market because you can't bear seeing the prices dropping. Most of us have been making terrible losses this time, but if you continue to just hold your investments, i guess losing will also be impossible. But i suggest to keep buying while the market is bearish, as this is the best time to buy and hold and create huge profits in your portfolio in the future.
2643  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC back at 20K. Imagine who sold at 17.7K. on: June 23, 2022, 08:37:12 PM
Some people never learn. This is not the end of the world. BTC has the capacity to grow like 50% in 1 week so people should learn that every drama is temporarily in the crypto world. Poor naysayers. Poor Peter Schiff. Such unhappy people. All the gold still doesn't make them happy. Cheers to you all happy Bitcoiners Cool
Those who sell when bitcoin was below $20k are mostly newbies so we can't blame their actions as they are still learning in the crypto market. And i just hope that they have learned their lesson now. The crypto market is too far to collapse, particularly with bitcoin.  As everything rise and fall when it comes to market volatility. If you can't bear its price fluctuations, better not to enter and invest in the market.
2644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: June 23, 2022, 08:00:35 PM
1. Be patient, don't panic.
2. Buy and hold.

The first attitude is very suitable to be applied and very many traders experience tremendous panic when they see the market price drop, especially Bitcoin is now at $18k.

It's becoming increasingly apparent that other coins are very influential on Bitcoin. So, the opportunity to buy to increase the volume of Bitcoin can be done again for long-term investments. The current market situation in my opinion is a very tough test to be applied by those who are impatient.

Do not panic. Everything will get better.
Panicking will not do good at all as it may only push you to lose more than to stay calm and keep hodling.  And besides, this has happened already in the past and its always proven that during bearish market, its best to buy and hold as it gives you more opportunity to earn bitcoin than to sell your coins for more losses. But it takes strong hands to survive from this bear market and only those who have strong faith will end up the winners in the end.
2645  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 22, 2022, 08:58:43 PM
I have a friend who are keep on asking me if taking loans just to buy Bitcoin is ideal thing to do so?
I understand the market is very cheap right now, and because of this I just want to share some tips especially to those newbies who are also considering the same thing.

Before you apply for a loan make sure to consider this first.

1. How much money you can afford to take the risk?
2. Is the profit enough to repay the loan, is there any guarantee?
3. Can you still repay the loan even if the market continues to drop?
4. Is your collateral enough to cover your loans?
5. Are you confident about your investment decision?

These are the common questions for myself before taking loan for the purpose of reinvesting, I know this can be a good opportunity to increase your holdings but if you don't have the funds yet, better not to rush yourself and just wait for the right moment. Taking loans is good if you are responsible enough to repay it, but if you think you can't better not to apply at all.

Taking loans is not that bad i guess if you have a stable job that can sustain its payment, or another investment that is already doing good. However, if you are still a newbie in investing and you just want to take advantage of the bearish market, i think that is still not reasonable. You only have to invest if you have extra money already, and that are not intended to pay your bills or for emergency purposes. Otherwise, taking loans will only create future circumstances that you will have to regret.
2646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Crossed 20k USD!! Don’t lose hope now. on: June 22, 2022, 08:15:15 PM
So Bitcoins have started recovering as we can see from the charts.
Yesterday Bitcoins were at 17k USD and now currently it has crossed 20k USD. It’s now at around 20,800 USD and it’s still increasing.
It’s not yet late to buy the Bitcoins, those have panicked and sold their Bitcoins, now it’s time again to buy it.
Don’t know whether it’s the end of the bear market or not, but still the price have given us the Bitcoin traders a great hope.
Hope soon Bitcoin recovers it’s price, and we all will end up with great profits.
What are your thoughts on this?
Currently, bitcoin price has dropped again into $20,063 and it will fall even more once the bear market continues. But isn't this a very good time to buy and hold?  Bitcoin may not be able to recover again this year so we can expect that we can see a new ATH by next year, or the following year, no one really knows. That is why we should always do the right thing this time, accumulate more bitcoin and then hold. After all, we won't be selling at a loss but definitely for great profits in the future.
2647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Enter the market with a loss mindset~what you can afford to lose on: June 21, 2022, 09:23:38 PM
One of the biggest mistake traders make is to only think about profit and not a possible loss in case the market goes the opposite way. When you are prepared for a loss, you also get to have a good risk management plan so that you don't lose everything in a single day.

Another thing that affects trader's profits so much is greed and FOMO. People should know when to exit and enter markets to avoid losing every trade.
Greed will always be a part of a trader, its up to him how he can manage it rightly and control it as much as possible. And FOMO comes to those who never know what they are up to from the start. If a trader cannot manage to overcome them, then definitely he'll end up facing crypto disasters. That is why its best to enter the market always prepared not just financially, but also emotionally and spiritually. You will never know when will the market become profitable or not, when will its price surge or drop, so always pack yourself up.
2648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Market Can Be A Waste Of Time or Useful Depending on How We Approach It on: June 21, 2022, 08:27:03 PM
The bear market is a very critical time in Crypto-currency, it’s a time where many enthusiast has to make critical and decisive decision that could make or break them, a more recent example is Luna, I have a friend who bought Luna during the dip because his favorite Crypto-currency influencer who lost huge money bought more even Terra Luna, and later on my friend would end up regretting that decision that’s what the bear market can cause it’s a period of confusion and also believe in the sense that many see it as an entry point and confusion in the sense that they don’t know which coin to go for.
The bear market will always be a source of fear and confusion for those who don't know which coins are good to invest, and for those who invested in coins who have no guarantees to succeed. However, this is also a source for great opportunities if you have already plans for long term investment and you have fixed decisions on what coins you are going to put your funds. Sadly, it didn't went well for Terra Luna, but i think in coins like bitcoin, this bear market will always be very useful and the best entry point in the market.
2649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is being too nice. Most people don't deserve the chance to buy it so cheap. on: June 20, 2022, 09:19:14 PM
The ones who will miss this train also might never see another. Do you really think BTC will be so cheap for the next years to come? Once it goes in the $1xx,xxx zone you better get used to it.

BTC is being too nice because most people don't deserve another chance after they had thousands of chances to buy it cheap and did nothing.

And one day BTC will leave the people who harbor doubts today. no matter how deep the bear threat makes some people give up, we need to remember that Bitcoin filters those who have lost faith to provide something extraordinary for those who still believe. Now we know who is with Bitcoin and who is pretending to support Bitcoin.

Hold on tight!!
In the end, the winners will always those who were never scared to take the risk, and buy and hold bitcoin while others chose to leave the market to stop their losses. It's just sad that a lot would want to be part in the bullish market and make the best profits, but they can't even endure the patience and perseverance that this bearish market needs. At the end of the day, faith is still what matters the most.
2650  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 20, 2022, 08:30:51 PM
Recently I was reading one of the famous books called " Rich Dad and Poor Dad". This quote just changed my thoughts and reduces my depression. Like many others, I myself also made a huge loss in this recent BTC crash.

When I first came to the crypto world I start with only a laptop. This was all I have and I made a good amount of money because of the last bull season. But because of poor money management and lack of experience, I took a big amount of loss too. I do make some losses but the lesson learned is priceless.

1. Money management is very important. It is better to have some plan than no plan.
2. Opportunity will come again and again so do not FOMO.
3. Anything could go to zero no matter how big the project is(Luna disaster).

Now I know how cash circulates into the crypto markets. I know fundamentals are the most important part of a project. I again could do mistakes in the next bull season but I will be more mature than to handle the situation. I do take some losses but the lesson it gave me would save a hell lot of money in the future.
Losses are part in crypto and you would not manage to make profits in crypto if you never experience losses at first. So it's always part of your learning process and growth in crypto. However, having some good money management and long term investment plan will always give you an edge not to fall for huge losses, but i think it would still take time to realize and develop it after you have made initial losses.
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 19, 2022, 11:56:47 AM
No doubt that he will be included in the hall of fame, and after Curry's retirement, I expect him to be in the top 3 list of the greatest NBA players in history if he cannot dethrone MJ in the number 1 to take the GOAT award. Curry will continue to make history, he is still healthy and there's a big possibility that the Warriors will again make a back to back championship.
Yes, Curry is already 34 years old but still playing so good, he is still the Warriors star player and one of the best players in the NBA right now!!

Let's see what he will show us in the next seasons of the NBA!

Age is just a number, Jordan was  34 years old when he won his last championship, but for Curry, 34 years old is still young and he can certainly continue to dominate and win another championship. His health is very important, so we should hope that Curry wont' suffer a serious injury so we will still be able to see him play and the Warriors will give a tough challenge to their opponents.
2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 19, 2022, 10:07:48 AM
Both of them have vital role to the GSW championships so for sure many teams are so interested to get them because they are truly a huge asset to be added on their team if they got them. But I'm sure even if how good they are they cannot replicate what they do in Warriors if the coach doesn't know how to use them very well because there success today also matter on game style of their coach.
Yes, I have no doubts about that! I believe the only player that is nearly ""impossible"" to trade is Curry. The others teams will need to offer something very valuable in return.

Curry is in an excellent phase and is already 34 years old, I also don't know if he would like to go to another team.

Players + chemistry + excellent coach makes a perfect mix!
Especially in the Warriors, where several players have been playing together for a long time.
Proof of this is the chemistry between Curry + Thompson + Green + Iguodala
(especially Curry and Thompson)

They will keep the Warriors big 3 no matter what. Draymond and Thompson will remain in the team, only Wiggins will likely be traded so they can increase the salary of players like Poole and will have more backup. I think there will be no one vs one trade, it's probably 2 to 3 players in exchange for Wiggins.
2653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 19, 2022, 09:45:18 AM
F***ing Bob Arum made a deal already for lineal champion Artur Beterbiev to defend his 3 belts in England against Anthony Yarde. Right after the fight, Beterbiev clearly said he wanted to unify the 4 belts in order to become undisputed. Beterbiev is already 37, time is his enemy. He needs to fight the last remaining belt holder Dmity Bivol. Canelo Alvarez a guy who always wanted to challenge himself will surely try again if that fight is for the undisputed belts. In this 4 belt era, there was never been a 2 division undisputed champion. Canelo might become the first one.

That's why some boxers leave the Top Rank promotion because they cannot do everything they want. Bob would make sure that he will not lose his cash cow, but as a fighter who wants to build some legacy before he retires, he wants to be an undisputed champion. It would be nice to see an undisputed fight, but it's always the promoter that will be followed.
2654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 19, 2022, 01:20:07 AM
OK, so the 2021-2022 season (this thread really needs a subject update, it's 2 years behind now) is in the books.  My question is, where are people going now to get their fix of basketball?  Are we all just waiting for summer league or the latest trade news?  I was thinking maybe I need to get more involved into international basketball, as I prefer that to college.  Anyone have any tips for me to help point me in the right direction?  Would love to get a year round basketball routine going so I'm not forced to watch baseball or football to get my athletic fix.

We have our local league and fortunately it is being covered by a sport bookies that I know of.

And then we have the WNBA, not followed it though like NBA, but I just started to bet on games and try to familiarized myself with the team. There are a lot of international basketball that it is really hard to give you tips as to which league.

We can find a basketball league that we love to watch and gamble. Since NBA is over, I focus my bets on the PBA which can be found in this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5169983.0... @OgNasty, if you like you can try betting but I'm not sure if you will be able to watch it live, maybe we have some posters in that certain thread that will share their picks for free.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 19, 2022, 01:02:35 AM
TNT is still keeping it up, end of the first half already and TNT had a free throw because of a bad foul by Banchero. I think they can still win the 1st half, and this game is a very low scoring game, I think it will not hit 180 with the way both teams are playing.
TNT won, and the scoring is really low for both teams but it doesn’t matter as long as your team won the game. TNT really made a good work here while Meralco is still struggling. This will still a long conference and TNT should remain good here so they can get into a good position, Meralco is a big team they will surely bounce back.
I think that was the lowest so far in this conference, Pogoy was the best player for the TNT, he was so aggressive in attacking the paint, and I like what I'm seeing because he developed himself from a good 3 point shooter to attacker in the paint, this guy will improve more.
2656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for Traditional Banks to cooperate with Crypto on: June 18, 2022, 08:45:12 PM
DeFi or decentralized finance can threaten the world of traditional banking, because of the shift in lending, even DeFi itself is known to be able to provide loans like other traditional banks.
This can affect existing traditional banks, because there will be competition between traditional banks and crypto in general, regardless of the various problems that will occur, crypto and traditional banks must be able to adapt to each other.

Crypto development is progressing so rapidly, this can be seen from the many users who join here, if Traditional Banks close themselves it is not impossible to be abandoned in the next few years.
Although currently crypto is still very risky, it is not impossible that in the future crypto can change finances, just need to wait for regulations or legal regulations, if this happens, it is certain that crypto will grow and be accepted by many people.
Its always good to see traditional banks to cooperate with crypto in the future. But for now, i don't see any possibilities that crypto will be accepted by the traditional banks as they even see it as a threat. And once bitcoin will be integrated in the banks transactions, that will no longer be decentralized. The thing that may totally lost the decentralization nature of bitcoin once the government decides to adopt it legally and accepted it in the banks as everything will be traceable by the government just like what fiat system is all about.
2657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 months low, no better time than now. on: June 18, 2022, 08:12:42 PM
So much have been in the fore play in Bitcoin and to that a lot of issues have forced Bitcoin to behave in the current behavior, from sec calling Bitcoin an anti-environment and eco friendly even though we know all this are campaign of fallacy championed by anti Bitcoin crusader.
Bitcoin will always be criticize negatively by bitcoin antagonists, regardless how bitcoin behaves in the market. Even if its bullish or bearish, those people will never stop throwing fake news about bitcoin, and i think its better to ignore them as they don't bring any significance in our lives. 8 months low? Just wait, there's more to that. Bitcoin will drop its price continuously to create big opportunities in the market, and when bitcoin recovers, those who only dare to buy and hold will always be the winners in the end.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 18, 2022, 12:46:45 PM
There's a rumor that Andrew Wiggins might be potential trade due to increasing salary wage of Warriors. They need to trade someone to resolve this and Wiggins has the high chance rate to be trade since Warriors will not gonna let go there Big 3. I don't know if this will commence but I believe this possible since Warriors has really have a high salary cap right now and this is not healthy to there franchise.
I won't be surprised if there will be an actual trade for him. He's now going to get the attention after they've taken the championship this final.
We don't know what it will be I guess this is an early expectation and we just have to wait for a few more weeks or a month to see such news like this.

Yup, rumors will circulate and with his performance this last season, interest to bring him in will flow.

It will depend on the Warriors team owner if how they will handle his case, if Wiggins will be after for the money, Max contract
or a good long-term deal should be on the table.

Unless he will be wanting for more rings, staying inside Warriors and adjust to the amount the team can offer him, just like how
Tim Duncan did when he still playing for the Spurs. He adjusts to meet the salary cap.

Warriors kept Durant, so there's a chance that they will keep Wiggins, though I must say that the Warriors were unbeatable with Durant playing on the team, Wiggins is also a big peace in the roster that makes the team successful. Well, the management will decide and for sure it will be for the improvemnet of the team.

Well, let's look at the Warriors salary. https://www.espn.com/nba/team/roster/_/name/gs/sort/salary/dir/desc/salary

Wiggins are earning $30 million + per season, that's really huge, so trading him will give the Warriors more advantage to acquire more players that could help them improve their defense. Though they won the championship but we show their weakness on some games, good thing they have Curry who are always willing to show his greatness when it's needed the most.
2659  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: June 18, 2022, 12:14:59 PM

Sayang, over 7.5 pala yung kinuha mo.

2660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 18, 2022, 11:47:34 AM
I looked at the OP's post, the odds of the Warriors that time was;

Quote
4- Warriors >8.50

Whoever won that kind of odds is a lucky better, congratulations to you, you also deserve to celebrate because you trusted the Warriors when they were not the favorite to win the championship.

That wasn't luck after all because the chance of Warriors getting into the playoffs and Finals was good. But at that time, it takes enough guts and courage to have that bet as it's still not that sure that they could really get in as the other teams in the league are also good. So, congratulations again OP for having a strong faith for the Golden State Warriors Wink

Getting that odds really says OP has faith on the Warriors. Now that the Warriors have already won the championship again, they just proved that even without Durant, they can still win a championship, and Curry is the better player than Durant, so he deserves all the praise in the NBA.
