And I don't care if other coins have PoS feature, Mintcoin implemented this 100X better! I have even seen proof of minting! That is incredibly exciting to see.
Could you elaborate on this? I am truly interested in knowing your opinion on how mintcoin implemented PoS better than other PoScoins.

What's the official word on the relationship between mintcoin and mintpal? Just asking for my info.
None. Just a happy coincidence that I explain here (Mintpal was trading other crypto before mintcoin - I was there).

I explain this here: http://david.latapie.name/blog/8-reasons-to-invest-in-mintcoin/

The dev is doing a great job, sorry to burst your bubble.   Have you seen the new website lately, that certainly cost money.   Have you seen all the hard work the dev team has down promoting on twitter, and everywhere else?  Over 1000+ followers.
The dev and the extended behind him. Extended team that you can join, just PM me.

Whales are buying cheap for the weekend pump. Get your popcorn.
What are your forecast regarding at which price to sell this week-end? I know that selling would kill the PoS, but there is a balance between losing one PoS and buying at cheaper price.

So, anyone (particularly the one the most experienced with this behaviour), what price?

Hi,

I created a "bot-dice's builds" thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=493036.msg5435383
I hope it will be of some use.
2647  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Recipes for Seuntjie's dicebots (builds) on: February 28, 2014, 10:30:38 PM
I use two settings: one at 90% and one at 47.13%.
For fire and forget, I use the 47.13 mode. I chose 47.13 and not 49.5% or 50 % in order for the successive loss to actually bring more money (with 50 % the longer the streak, the less you lose).
Update1: I moved to 24 bets for easy of mind - this gives me 10% interest, with the risk to ultimately lose everything one day. I made my own calculation on how many time I can lose and it appears the reading on Seuntje are too optimistic (maximum bet it really maximum bets, not maximum time you can still get all your money back and a bit more (so if it says 22, at 21 you win, at 22 you can no more double so you lose money)
Update2: to comment the setting, add a pipe character after the last value, before the comment. Thanks Seuntjie!
Update 3: I added a simulator for playing at 47.13 - this is how I realised the maximum bet is misleading - it really is maximum bets, not maximum safe bets as I assumed first. bot-dice (public version)
It is a bit rough on the edges, but it might help you

There are not-that-sophisticated build, you probably have better one.

If you want to have it simple, paste the first build on your config file, import it then from the bot's interface, change the minimum bet value so that the "maximum bet" value at the bottom hits 23 (yes, it WILL be a tiny amount). According to the simulation, you should be safe for 1 millions bets (4 continuous days a 3 bets a second).

FIY: I lost all I won because I was too greedy (read: did not use 47.13 till the end) and did not backup on time. I plan to change this!

2650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / FrictionlessCoin, part 2 on: February 28, 2014, 06:38:53 PM
Hi,

Since the previous thread is locked, I'd like to mention here that I am interested in it. If you also are, here you can mention it (no guarantee this will be taken into consideration by the FrictionLess team, though).

I am interested in PoS coin and the new concept of Friction. The idea that is smartphone-friendly appeals to me (but NXT's array of features and NEM's Proof in Importance also interest me too).
Share you thoughts!

I still dislike you lol, I don't mine I bought in at 7 I've got my investment back and some Smiley and I still have a fair bit of Mint! I love this coin Smiley
As for me, if I was selling 80% of it now, I would reimbourse ALL of my crypto mistakes since day one in the crypto business (including trading on the late Mt.Gox). That's telling Smiley

Ginger how long have you been into Crypto boy? I highly doubt that, they have more to gain by the coin having success.
I agree with that and we have plas exactly in that direction (be prepared for surprises). But I am on the team, so feel free to take what I say with a pinch of salt Smiley

isnt it better to mine a more profitable coin ATM and then sell it for mints?

what benefit would it be to mine these at these difficulties?

looking at calcs, I can get 30% more mint mining vertcoins and selling for btc and buying mint.
That's what I understood too (plus mintcoin is deliverately very hard to mine toward the end - first week was mining galore).
I am trying to sell my cagecoin at 2 satoshi now (+100% increase), but so much people have the same idea... I'm considering abandonning it and moving to blackcoin (I like PoS).
2654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *13 Exchanges on: February 27, 2014, 06:27:31 PM
I'll make a Tulipcoin. The block reward halves every 10k blocks for the first 100000 blocks and then doubles every 10k blocks for the next 100000 blocks.
It would be interesting to check the market adoption. See it as social experiment (and change the name, tulipomania brings bad memories and that would spoil the social experiment).
2655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *13 Exchanges on: February 27, 2014, 06:25:21 PM
Exactly like any other coin. With which coin do you get more from mining as time and difficulty increases?

Exactly none.
And I am surprised noone tried it. It would bolster adoption of a large amount of people if they know that they can not be the loser by being late adopters. Sure, the beginning would be tough.

Something like very easy mining very early on, very hard mining shortly after, and easier and easier mining after that.
Of course, this should not be the only interesting aspect of the said coin. Do you know a list of all the various features for altcoins tried at one moment or another?

why do people use decimels (.) when they should be using commas (,) !!!

one of the most annoying things about this site, and this community in general... is it a regional thing? what country teaches that 10.000 is ten thousand, and not 10 with digits after the decimal... 10.0001 is ten point 0 0 0 1, not ten thousand and one....

ARAGHAHGAHEGAHEFAHWDHQAWHAHAHGAHGHAHGAHHAHAHAHASAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGG GGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The board is in English, so the English grammar rule prevail. Read about some things called "typography" and "localisation" (I worte intentionally with an s because I want to write in International English, not in US English).

English
Decimal separator: dot
Thousands separator: comma

French
Decimal separator: comma
Thousands separator: ((narrow) no-break) space

THe list would go on for various languages. It doesn't matter: board is in English, grammar rules are English.

Okay Guys - Mint has been very good to me with day trading the past few days and I made a bunch of BTC as I exchanged it out right away and move to my wallet.   With a chunk of the profits for the past few days, I bought the domain www.mintcoin.com
I won't have control of it for about 7-10 days but, never the less, we have it and can put it to good use.   Being that the dev team is scarce around here, I figure I will post here to help out with getting thing rolling.   Ideas, who to contact, what to do with it, etc??
I am on the extended dev team. I will PM.
