2641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will we ever get another 7th Jan 2018 Alt Season? on: December 19, 2020, 04:42:35 PM
I doubt we will have the same kind of event again.
Why?
Stablecoins. i.e. USDT
Before that is created, traders would usually exchange their Bitcoins for Altcoin which is the reason for a sudden pump in the altcoin industry.
It had been 2 years already and a lot of pumps and dumps happened with Bitcoin and yet we still don't see alts soaring.
That's my only reason for the dead to not rise again.
2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: December 19, 2020, 02:31:01 PM
i cant think of pros but i can think of con that you havent listed . that is its boring to wait because predicting is not instant as the regular gambling .
Same issue with me.
I can't think of any pros about it.
Almost all gamblers are short-tempered. Grin I don't think it will work.

It does work with known sports though like NBA, NFL, Soccer, etc..
Since there will always be an end to every season.
But cryptocurrencies predicting? Hmmm..
It may not be a good business to handle, not with gamblers.
2643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will there be a correction? on: December 19, 2020, 11:41:26 AM
Yes.
They call it correction but sometimes you can just say it is a dump.  Grin
Nothing is supposed to be corrected but someone needs to sell to make some profit.

It's just difficult to identify when it will be. It can happen slowly or in an instant.
Be careful on selling though, that correction might not happen so soon.
2644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Don't wait for the market, start selling in parts! on: December 19, 2020, 10:25:22 AM
Selling in parts means you are still losing your precious Bitcoin or altcoin.
You are not gaining by doing this.
Then, you will be in doubt to buy again since the price is getting higher. It had always been a risk since day 1.
You sell now, you might miss the big boat. Regrets will follow and the fear of missing out which will force you to buy at a higher price.
Now, is it still profit?
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 19, 2020, 06:59:15 AM
GSW I believe won't make the cut even if they have brought it Kelly Oubre as well as James Wiseman into the team, they have a huge improvement on the SG spot but don't forget that they are overpaying Wiggins for his Andre Iguodala performance. Aside from that we are talking about the Western Conference here where all the top teams compete where even having a positive Win-Loss ration in that conference won't make the cut. If they won't have Klay Thompson back this season I won't see them in the playoffs.
Let's not conclude it yet.
The regular season has not even started. The roster is good compared to other Western teams.
If they will play hard or the chemistry will work then wins can be achieved.
The 6th - 8th playoffs spot won't be that bad, and if they can snatch the first round then it will be sweeter.  Grin

But Denver Nuggets will be the champion this year.  Cheesy
2646  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will be the next target of bitcoin in initially of 2021 ? on: December 18, 2020, 07:01:19 PM
I'll take $30k as reality rather than $500k and 1M.  Grin
We could see it accumulates a large amount in just a manner of time but there is always a limit to it.
When it breaks an amount that is difficult to buy then demands will be slower.
This takes it to another year of slow pace volatility.
It happened this year at around 7k-9k and it stayed there for quite some time.
I think next year will be a fight for breaking $30k until December 2021.
2647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long will go Bitcoin? on: December 18, 2020, 05:29:13 PM
As I said in one thread before, it might not go beyond $25k. 23k might be its limit for this year.
But, it would be better if we see a bottom of $20k and not less.

Altcoin pumps? Nah, I don't think we will see one unless traders began using them again.
USDT is the most commonly used as a pair but there is no volatility with a stable coin.
So, it would be better not to expect much with whatever altcoin you are holding.
2648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 18, 2020, 02:38:46 PM
Currently, Jrue Holiday is their starting PG and DJ Augustin is their 2nd option.
Yeah, but I don't really see Jrue as a playmaker but Augustin does.
They might still be keeping it this pre-season. Let's see what Mike Budenholzer would do.

More like someone needs some money.
Post-pandemic problems maybe?  Grin
I think Stephen Curry is finally back! he has some monstrous performance in the 3rd quarter earlier and they manage to beat the Kings in the preseason matchup.
Let's hope his consistency will come out.
No Klay means he will shoulder a huge offensive attack.
2649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about DeFi? on: December 18, 2020, 08:46:28 AM
Golden opportunity.  Grin
It's not that far of a difference with ICO's back then.
New tokens being created almost every day. Some are scam attempts and some are real.
It's difficult to define anymore which one will be a successful project.

For me, it's just the same with a different name.
Just be careful what you will invest out there. It's a damn jungle.
2650  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 Profit competition 0.5+ BTC prizes ENDS TODAY on: December 18, 2020, 06:09:06 AM
You would think that with the higher wagering volume during competitions that profit for investors would be up. We've seen in two straight competitions that this is not the case. My theory is that people who participate in competitions tend to be more experienced gamblers and they know how to maximize their potential profit.
Yeah. It's the risk of investing in a gambling site.
But, I am happy for all the gamblers. We cannot deny they are also risking the same thing just like the investors.
Hopefully, they will continue playing the game and join all the competitions here.

I really thought they will calm down and just let the BTC price surge calm down.
2651  Other / Archival / Re: ... on: December 17, 2020, 07:37:35 PM
No, I doubt it will change that easily.
First, they might try to just use digital currencies which of course are just as same as fiat converted digitally.
Traditional paper cannot be demolished yet, not in this era or even in 10-20 years to come.
The world is just not ready for it.
Just visiting a rural area will hit you with reality.
2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 17, 2020, 05:13:39 PM
Which means he needs to improve, unfortunately, Giannis is not a good ball handler, he doesn't have the skills like Lebron James who can play as PG. Giannis best chance to be efficient inside the court is to master his 3 point shooting, because if not, he will be so easy to predict.
He's tall that is why it will be difficult for him to handle the ball.
It can be easily stolen by small defenders.

I think he is already improved. What he need is a good partner with high chemistry.
Remember Steve Nash and Amar'e Stoudemire before?
That was a hell of a tandem with high chemistry.
Stoudemire doesn't need to handle the ball but just runs to the paint.
How about Jokic and Murray?
This is the reason why I keep on looking at D.J. Augustin's moves. Will he be the right partner for Giannis?
2653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What trading strategy do you use? on: December 17, 2020, 03:32:45 PM
I guess I am in the bracket of swing trading if that's what they call it.
Leave it for a few days or weeks and just take whatever I had.
The key factor is to not let greed overcome you. It happened to me most of the time before.
The days become weeks and then months as I keep on waiting for another good pump.
You just want to earn more. But that's not a disciplined trader anymore if you cannot control it.
2654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high do you see Ethereum going this market cycle? on: December 17, 2020, 11:13:16 AM
Not every time Bitcoin will be pulling these altcoins.
They have their own market and will still depend on demand and purchase.
The last time it went to the $1k mark is because ICO is hyped. Lots of investors are buying Ethereum in exchange for the preferred ICO token they want to buy.
Now. Do you see that happening?
There is just an update for Ethereum 2.0 but it doesn't mean sales will be as high as 2017.
It might become a slow phase after $800 and then dump since stakers will need to profit.
2655  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 can be achieved by end of year? Or January 2021? on: December 17, 2020, 08:01:07 AM
Yeah, we reached it.
Now, let's wait for the panic.  Grin

I doubt it will reach $25k. Not that I don't trust bitcoin to reach it. It's the people who are holding it up until now who bought at a higher price during 2017 ATH.
They may be lurking in the shadows now just waiting for the right moment.
Maybe they are feeling a little greedy waiting for more profit to come. $23k might be the highest although it touched 22k now.
2656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 17, 2020, 04:57:38 AM
I don't know what's the other plan of Milwaukee Bucks. Taking care and securing Giannis is useless if they will not look at the branches to support the tree. They are literally choking every playoff. They should at least learn about what things they are lacking since the Raptors shutdown Giannis in their 2019 playoffs match.
What could be missing?
Veteran support?
I want to see if DJ Augustin can maximize the skills of Giannis. I mean, he is the playmaker and should be in sync with every player on the floor.
If he could successfully perfect plays that are meant to strengthen their offense then I bet they could win a championship.
With Jrue, DiVincenzo, and Middleton as wingmen, it should be an easy task to spread the floor leaving them free to shoot the three or attack the paint.
A lot of options now, the ball doesn't need to stay with Giannis just to make a turnover.
2657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 16, 2020, 09:03:32 PM
There was a time that Vitalik said we may not reach that same number again and so he sold some on his vault.
That may also be an accurate claim.
$1000 is just difficult to reach right now. No hype from ICO's using ERC-20 which means a buying spree of Ethereum for tokens of new projects.
DeFi ain't like that so it won't help.
Ethereum 2.0 is already out and that could be the only chance for Ethereum to reach its peak again.
But once it does, I doubt there is more.

2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 16, 2020, 06:03:03 PM
But when it is like 1.40 odds to 4+ odds, I end up with the 1.40 odd one because that is what is expected. This method was a good one until this year, but unfortunately this year has been a bit chaotic when it comes to sport results where every result could be a shocking one.
Correct. This is where the risk-takers will come in.
I even gambled at x18 and x15 before. I don't really like just following what the bookies predict.
Somehow I want to be the "different" one.  Grin
Taking the grand prize also gives me joy. Just the fact that you won against a lot of gamblers that think it will go their way is already fun.
I also add this sometimes in my parlays just to boost the total odds.

2659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on: December 16, 2020, 05:15:16 PM
5K April
12k Aug
18k November

So, it was not just December where Bitcoin is volatile.
Consider it for the whole year.
December is just too much discussed because of the ATH last 2017 and also that is where the highest price lands. Just like now.
If it's only one month where it would move a lot then traders won't have a hard time predicting and speculating the whole 11 months.  Cheesy

2660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 16, 2020, 02:23:52 PM
I wonder if the Lakers can still depend their title and win a back to back championship this coming 2021 season knowing that there are no big changes in their line up.
I am not really putting too much money in pre season games but maybe I will try to change my style especially if there are good odds that I can see in the upcoming games.
They will not. Because they traded Danny Green.  Grin Just kidding.
But, if they do lose this season then it proves that Green is a lucky charm.  Grin

Lakers roster is still strong. Adding Harrell and Schroder is a good move by their management.
I think now they want to compliment Frank Vogel's specialization which is "defense".
Let Davis and Bron focus on making plays for offense.
