2641  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin price speculation make sense on: January 26, 2017, 08:05:24 AM
Some info in speculation makes sense, some is just FUD, depending on what the poster wants to achieve.
Some even think they may influence others' trading decisions.  Shocked
However, at least it's fun to read Smiley

some of those fud are also speculation, if you think about ti they are done on purpose to drive the price down or high, it's all about directing other buyers to what you want

speculation of investors follow their prediction, and the result is an average of all of them that go in the direction of the highest probable one
2642  Economy / Economics / Re: What Would Happen If Bitcoin Were Declared Illegal in the USA? on: January 26, 2017, 07:59:33 AM
I think the US dictates to all the world what is in trend. So in the case of banning bitcoin by USA government other countries could repeat it. Probably except Russia Grin

i don't think so, europe is very clear on the matter they have a different opinion than the usa, bitcoin will continue to live there it does not matter what USA want to do

the same for other big country like china(cny is the first currency used to buy bitcoin, more than usd), russia well they still need to figure it out i think, they changed their mind many times, it's not funny anymore...

2643  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Need your knowledge. on: January 26, 2017, 07:56:13 AM
ehm it's not only about electricity, you need to factor the stucture on which you will put this miner, usually big farm build a dedicated one which isn't free, with all the conditioners electricit circuit etc..

there is a huge capital to invest there first, i think someone that want to go that big suddenly, better off going to buy bitcoin directly, you will remove many hassles...
2644  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Which is the best mining equipment company? on: January 26, 2017, 07:53:55 AM
The efficiency of Bitmain's latest miner makes it the only viable alternative to consumers. J/Gh is the metric miners should be judged on when it comes to profitability.

While efficiency is the main factor in profitability, this is a false statement. While the Bitmain S9 is the leader in j/gh it is not the only viable solution. If you are a home miner trying to mine on overpriced power of course your options will be limited.

Other options include the Avalon 7 series as well as a new player on the market ebang who makes the ebit miner. Both are around .13-.14 which is similar to the new Bitmain T9 that is a more reliable replacement for the S9. Do your homework on each machine and you can figure out which one makes the most sense for you.

According to what you're saying, home users are using bitmain devices. What devices are used by those who professionally make mining work?

chinese use the s9, which is the best miner, at those level going with the most efficient if you have low electricity is still a thing, because everything added up can put you at the top

since they(big chiense mining farm) are stealing block to each other they need everything at their disposal to compete
2645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [China's fakeness] Before and after on: January 26, 2017, 07:43:36 AM
After chinese trading platforms started to have trading fees there is no way for manipulators to make fake orders and buy/sell on their own orders to pump the volume. This is good for bitcoin market and this may also make people aware of the fact that china is not the only one behind every pump/dump.

They can still manipulate, but it will cost them money, before it was free to do it this is the only difference, you can't stop market manipulation no matter what you do it is present everywhere not only in bitcoin

I mining with 7000MHz and dont have any coins for 12 hours Smiley Dont expect nothing for 1 day or you must be very lucker

it's correct, the block is 100 coins, with 700mh is around 15 coin per day, so you need a week to find a block...and that is the average now add the variance and you are wasting time...
2647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: January 25, 2017, 08:58:44 PM
Amph, so right now 700MH earns you 15 pasc = 0.004btc = $3.50 per day? Too lazy to run through numbers myself.

yeah that estimate was with 800GH network, right now is higher i think, i didn't check

oh..it's actually lower, nearly 700GH...
2648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: January 25, 2017, 02:57:17 PM
Nice volume on poloniex. Profitable @700?

solo mining only for now, and the diff is increase every minute, right now should be around 4GH = 1 block(100 coin) each day or around that

if you can reach 700MH one rig is 4.2GH

lulz PASCAL GPU CANNOT BEAT AMD FURY  Grin Grin Grin Grin such shame for using PASCAL name

no, nvidia is just not optimized as usual another user found this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1583719.msg16682597#msg16682597
2650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PascalCoin OpenCL mining on: January 25, 2017, 02:13:36 PM
I have it run for 24h and nothing..and the hash according to this stupid miner still not vary much on the speeds I posted for each gpu.
anyway i stop mining PASCAL coin since it has no proper nv miner yet.

average time for 1500MH is 2 days already, now add to this the solo varaince and you go as high as 1 week without trouble

going solo now is a gamble

and i agree the miner is shitty that's why i asked for an improved version, i hope sp can do something
As I said in another thread:
AMD current card should remain better in pascalcoin pow algo than nvidia ones: there is some int operation in the pow algo that can be done in one cycle on amd against two for nvidia, like bitcoin pow.
Vorksholk who is used to both architecture explains this in the following post.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1583719.msg16621234#msg16621234

still i think 250MH for nvidia is very poor, probably amd can be improved quite a lot, and i don't own amd so i'm stuck with that miner

User called majoh claimed he reached 750 Mh/s for 1070:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1583719.msg16682597;topicseen#msg16682597

that post is very old, it's strange that the miner dev didn't improve anything and a stranger did it long time ago

with that speed might be worth to solo mine

can someone explain me this
I started mining with 8 rigs, approx 12 GH/s
Found 1 valid block 56170 in about 4 hours,
but it doesn't appear in my wallet
it is instead given to testsm417 miner
the same user got previous block 56169 only 3 min. before this, so it is impossible for him to find 2 blocks in 3 minutes
is this an error, or ?
here the screenshot
[img]http://clickerix.com/blockfound.jpg[img]

he probably took it because it was faster and you mined an orphan, the client say found 0

Any nvidia miners with 1070, 970, 750 Ti cards? If so, what hashrates you guys are getting and with what miner?

the cuda miner give me only 250MH per gpu(but some times i see 500...) the intensity is useless, and all the version of the miner perform around the same

is this even compiled in cuda 8.0? amd report 500MH per card or more, a 1070 should do 1000 at least

I have 2 rigs , so can i mine to 1 wallet or i must use 2 wallet for every rig ?

you can mine to 1 wallet

set 127.0.0.1 for first rig and youriplocalwalletfirstrig for second rig for example : 192.168.0.12
you will see "Wallet name" It must be the same

Thanks ! This working well. One more question - how can i run 6 gpu to 1 instance or i must use 6 instance and every name must be gpu0 ... gpu1 ... gpu2. Whats happening if i rename every name to RIG1

yes you can run one more one gpu on the same instance with -d 0,1,2,3 etc in your batch

it does not work with the cuda version, if you do d0 d1 it use the last one, d1 in this case, or if you do d0,1,2, it use the first one, 0 in this case
2656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, deletable blockchain & bank account system [PASA] on: January 25, 2017, 08:06:32 AM
nvidia is only doing 250MH with the cuda miner why? not optimized at all it seems
What card? On AMD, I get about 500MH per RX470 and about 450 on old 7970. But it really varies. I have several rigs where my 7970 babies give 250 instead of 450 (with same CPU, drivers, etc), and nothing I can do about that. Just early stages of young coin becoming popular Smiley no calculators, pools, optimizations... wild west. I like it, btw. )

Just a pump and dump coin loke Zcash, dont bother yourself with this.
Don't you dare blaming ZCash here. ZCash will grow and mature, becoming one of the strongest anonymous cryptos, especially when paired with ETH in Alchemy project.
Pascal is a very interesting concept with SafeBox and accounts, unique in its own way. I truly regret that I missed this ANN while setting up and maintaining my farm last months.

1070, should be much higher based on amd result
2657  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Bitcoin start to price increase? on: January 25, 2017, 08:05:10 AM
It's simply work in this way (let's assume that these random guy are millionare to make it simple)

random guy A think that the value will be higher than the current one by a certain amount, so he buy-->price increase

another one see the price increase so he buy also because he think the price will be even bigger, it's called speculation

bitcoin was only a speculative tool at the beginning, now that there are some good merchants it's also a currency, but not complete

2658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More than 50,000 unconfirmed transactions on: January 25, 2017, 08:01:22 AM
If what they receive in increased fees is more than the cost to spam the network, then it will probably continue.

btw there is a way to calculate this value? if this value is know senders can work together to have unprioritized transaction with lower fee than needed and thus making their spam attack cost more

yes you will lose the speed of your transaction, but the attack should stop eventually
2659  Economy / Services / Re: Ask a miner to include a transaction into blockchain ? on: January 25, 2017, 07:57:51 AM
Hello, I have this situation and I'm not sure I understand what to do.  I need these transactions pushed because I need to regain access to the btc for personal purposes.

https://blockchain.info/address/1BZRFsmoT9xsAZYgmXhbRWFc9tLLG5t6co
This is the address I sent to from LocalBitcoins the .225 transaction.  I then proceeded to make 5 bitcoin sends with auto fees from my blockchain browser wallet, all of which are delayed for over 12 hours now.

https://blockchain.info/tx/06c7db81c3b6b2f41014b7ad3ba56f6b5ccf8cae9634f0cba656ffddde3a6031

https://blockchain.info/tx/c443b87c82a398a1ac98355278e76d6b542cb4a67c7f7db962d3720955d0935d

How do I go about getting these pushed?  When I try and use the pushtx function it says the transaction already exists in blockchain.

How do I rebroadcast this and get it picked up by a block asap?  I used auto fees but after this i'll use higher fees with every send.

the fee is clearly too low the average is now higher more thn 20k satoshi for 226 byte and you payed 14k, ou need to check the size of your transaction and do the math to find the correct amount of fee

you can abandon the tx easily with the last version of core, and do it again with proper fee
2660  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining Taxation in Canada on: January 25, 2017, 07:53:13 AM
Well yeah, you would be crazy to have 1+ MW farm and not voluntarily claim something... Asking for trouble from the Man.

I found some stuff about it being considered the same as barter and trade, like if you paid me in eggs I would have to put a value in $ on those eggs and report it as taxable income. Was hoping someone experienced could weigh in, am trying to learn what I would need to consider before starting a large mine.

if i was you i would only declare the amount you dump to pay the electricity what you keep as a bitcoin and not in fiat, is not really declarable, there is no way they can know how many bitcoin you mined

it's like you have found dollars on the street same thing, therefore just declare what you dump that is the simple rule
