2662  Other / Archival / Re: How to clear the list Show new replies to your posts? on: June 25, 2021, 05:36:03 AM
At the moment, my Show new replies to your posts list is cluttered and I'm trying to clean it up from unnecessary notifications. But they come all the time. Cleaning them manually every day is not very fun.

If some decades-old thread are showing up, we have to deal with them. After all, that's the purpose of the link.

If you really want to nuke them off the feed, you have to report them and hope the mods would trash them, which I believe, is incredibly rare as long as they don't break the rules

convenient way for me to respond when someone replies in the topics that interest me. I hope I'm not the only one  Cheesy Honestly, I don't even remember that a watchlist function exists in this forum, lol  Cheesy

Do you think that Watchlist and Show new replies to your posts are two separate functions? It seems that Show new replies to your posts is the function that allows you to see all the latest posts from the topics you've already commented, so it's still there even if you've removed it from the Watchlist. In my opinion, you can't get rid of it, you can only make it pass after a period of use. Let's try!

The bread and butter instead of having to search for the titles manually. :p

I think promotion is what they need if they want to be competitive in the industry, some of the top gambling sites here have an ongoing or recurring signature campaign, since they are already in the market they should also work to get Betfury on both Coingecko and Cornmarket, this is another marketing campaign so we can see the data and how it performs in the market.

Come to think of it, signature campaigns can up to . Assuming the following average breakdown:

Hero/ Legendary: $60 x 5
Senior: $50 x 5
Member: $40 x 5

That's at least $750 weekly, excluding the campaign management fee costs and other promos. With their costs allocated to the exchange and their GAs, that adds up even more.

But who knows, they might see some degrees of success because the main account is already active enough while promoting events on the thread itself. No need to hire and increase the overhead costs.
2664  Other / Off-topic / John McAfee: Anti-virus creator found dead in prison cell on: June 24, 2021, 03:53:49 AM
Quote
Anti-virus software entrepreneur John McAfee has been found dead in a Barcelona prison cell hours after a Spanish court agreed to extradite him to the US to face tax evasion charges.

The Catalan Justice Department said prison medics tried to resuscitate him, but were not successful.

It said in a statement that "everything indicates" McAfee took his own life.

A controversial figure in the tech world, his company released the first commercial anti-virus software.

McAfee VirusScan helped to spark a multi-billion dollar industry in the computer world, and was eventually sold to technology giant Intel for more than $7.6bn (£4.7bn).

In October 2020, John McAfee was arrested in Spain when he was about to board a plane to Turkey, and accused of failing to file tax returns for four years, despite earning millions from consulting work, speaking engagements, crypto-currencies and selling the rights to his life story.

The US Justice Department alleged that McAfee evaded tax liability by having his income paid into bank accounts and cryptocurrency exchange accounts in the names of nominees.

He was also accused of concealing assets, including a yacht and real estate property, also in other people's names.

Spain's National Court authorised his extradition to the US to face the charges on Wednesday morning.

In recent years, McAfee repeatedly claimed that there was a plot to get him - however the court said there was "no revealing evidence" that he was being prosecuted for political or ideological reasons, Spanish newspaper El Pais reported.

A prominent libertarian, engaging speaker and crypto enthusiast, McAfee still had the ability to make money. His latest brush with law enforcement was due to alleged tax evasion on his recent earnings.

2665  Other / Meta / Re: Signature spam - how to force users to read before replying? on: June 23, 2021, 05:11:45 PM

I wasn't aware of that, thank you. However, I guess it's not a good idea to create a new discussion thread if one already exists with a similar topic and active discussion?

You could say that. Funnily though, those that are updated/ active tend to have people spouting the same thing over and over.

2668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is China a fool? on: June 23, 2021, 07:46:32 AM

I don't think that China will have that balls if they don't have a nuclear power or the military might that they are arrogantly showing off to the world.

You are right. I mean, they came a long way and look at their developments, they're behind the US compared to other countries.

One thing for sure, their spending power is tremendous too. That's how they gain influence over other countries by pouring in development funds.
2669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is China a fool? on: June 23, 2021, 07:25:38 AM

That could be another way of looking at the move that China does on the bitcoin scene and so far, they are doing great in terms of shaking off the weak hands.

Imagine a CEO (Melon Musk) could shake the prices single-handedly, China be like, "hold my tea" Grin

Anyone staked their BFG-BSW pair in the LP? Curious to know what's the return like.

Just compounded my BSW, might top up a little more to expedite the process.
2671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is China a fool? on: June 23, 2021, 06:50:41 AM
They want to eliminate competition for their own digital currency which is set to be used in public this year or in the next year, and that's not how a fool moves, it's actually the opposite.

Exactly my thoughts. They help to shake off the weak hands while the smart ones dive in to scoop.

Wow, congrats on the new milestone!

Right now, I'm still working on that, and I'm hoping that you'll be a good inspiration to those who are just starting here in this forum.

Congratulations to your achievement my friend, you truly deserve that rank.

Maybe sooner or later, I'll be the one who make a thread like you do, where I congratulate myself and be proud of what I've attained.

We'll reach there one day, friend. Just continue being ourselves Smiley
2674  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Beginners list for wallets and methods of earning free crypto on: June 22, 2021, 08:58:15 AM
If I were you, I'd avoid inserting those reflinks first. Or put (Ref/ Non-ref) so users get to choose which one they'd like to go for.

And the free crypto should be more appropriate in the Micro Earnings subforum
2675  Economy / Speculation / Re: About time it crashed on: June 22, 2021, 06:36:42 AM

You are wrong on your prediction here buddy, but I think you are right with bitcoin going down to $20k as the trend suggests that we are already in a bear market. When bitcoin struggles, that's where altcoins will also start to bleed, no more craze if bitcoin is bearish as the whole market will be affected.

BTC's dominance rate increase to 45%, it will slowly go up, which means the party is really over.

And seeing the market now it's red https://coinmarketcap.com/

Market's gotta take a breather after the express bull run. Make sure to DCA whenever you can Wink

They have always denied that there is any relation when they were asked on Telegram.

That doesn't necessarily mean they don't share the same ownership. Their Telegram staff has given wrong answers before, like when they said BFG would be released as a TRC-20 token. Another coincidence besides the UI is that they both registered their domain with GoDaddy and use Cloudflare as their DNS provider. If you look at the next biggest DEXs, Pancakeswap, Uniswap, Sushi, Lavacake, and Polycat, none of them use the same registrar + DNS combo as BetFury.

It could be the possible lack of information sharing. Previously I asked about this and the support rep told me she had no idea on the token protocol (TRC or BSC), which then happened turned out to be the latter days later.

In the end, even if both are from the same developer/ team, we can't really do much (like staging a protest :p). After all, they allow players to trade their tokens as well as earn from staking.
2678  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetFury.io|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|⚡️$3.5mln Staking pool|⚡️BFG listing party on: June 22, 2021, 03:40:31 AM

one thing that still sticks in my mind, whether biswap also owned by betfury developers because the UI looks almost the same.

This was brought up before and a few (myself included) assumed both are pretty similar.

Anyone want to confirm this by sending a PM to Betfury? Grin

That's what I'm doing for now. BFG and BSW are too volatile because they are so new. If you put them in a farm you could end up losing more than what you are earning in yield. Staking in a launchpool is pure profit without risk of impermanent loss.

True, but currently staking a smaller amount of BFGs doesn't seem to yield good returns for now (<5K), so might as well try the pair and see how things go.
2679  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 21, 2021, 05:13:17 PM
You can also send a private message to their Twitter account that I once did when I requested something from them related to my account.  In their promotional tweets, they don't pay attention to the comments there, especially if the concern is not related, even though maybe other sites are the same. Also, Hhampuz is here and he said that he will report to the teams when there are grievances in their thread that are lacking in awareness.

If it wasn't for Hhampuz though, I doubt they would even bother with the players' plights on this thread. While he's pretty communicative, if the contract ends let's just say, things would be back to square one sans the campaign manager.

And absolutely-positioned's last post was made in August 2020. Almost 1 year of silence.

For the bolded part, I'm glad to say that that hardly happens on the site I was referring to earlier. Quite a rare scene Smiley
2680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China FUD on: June 21, 2021, 04:34:47 PM
China used to be the biggest market for cryptocurrency in the early days, but its recent attacks on crypto-related activities and have negatively affected the entire cryptocurrency market. The recent fud resulted in the current dip in Bitcoin price, I think it high time miners in China think of relocating to more crypto-friendly countries.

Relax, they're just talking about Bitcoin. There are other China-based cryptos that have been cruising smoothly like VET and NEO.

Sooner or later they will open up even more. The China from 1980 isn't the same as it is now. It's just a matter of time.
