2663  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-08-22] Lack Of Bitcoin Customers Worries Merchants on: August 22, 2015, 06:56:45 PM
I was wondering how many people paid using Bitcoin with some of the larger retailers, I always imagined the numbers would not be huge, as mentioned by others the numbers will increase but it will take a long time before the everyday person will choose to make payment with Bitcoin.

The good thing is that as more retailers start accepting Bitcoin, the exposure is there and the more people that see Bitcoin as a payment option the more interest in Bitcoin there will be.
2664  Economy / Speculation / Re: when the guys who own 10,000 bitcoin see their net worth drop below 1 million on: August 22, 2015, 06:39:21 PM
10,000 Bitcoin, now that would be something to be smiling about.  The only thing you would need to worry about at that point is how to spend it all.
2665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: August 22, 2015, 06:30:09 PM
Trading in altcoins to make a little more but still holding Bitcoin for the inevitable rise, altcoins don't always tend to come through but when they do it the profit can go to savings.
2666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would be the consequences if Bitcoin went down to $200 or even $100? on: August 21, 2015, 10:49:58 AM
If the price went down below $100 you would definitely see a few people just picking up a few 'cos they heard about this thing called Bitcoin but it is too expensive to enter, I would think it would bring more people in but they better be quick as it won't stay that low for long.

With regards to the miners which was your original question, as others have said they would probably switch onto a more profitable coin until the price went back up to make it worthwhile jumping back onto Bitcoin.
2667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with solid android wallet? on: August 20, 2015, 07:47:22 PM
I have the Triangles one also which is a cool app.  I have been wondering what coins had a decent wallet so this thread is very useful Smiley  think I will check out the Startcoin one, ideally an Android wallet that stakes would be extremely useful.

A nice summary and outlines the situation quite well for anybody who wants a quick overview of what's happening as there are a lot of threads floating about.

2671  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Edited: I 'm buying online 60€ of bitcoin. on: August 20, 2015, 09:21:15 AM
Have you had a look at CoinBase or Circle,as far as I know you can buy bitcoins there with your debit card.

You will however have to register with them and open a wallet. Will also most probably have to submit documentation but not to sure, might not be needed as you are buying a small amount.

Yeah try one of those such as Coinbase as it is a bit safer then trying to do it person to person, depending on where you are you could try bitylicious they operate in a few countries and it is very easy and quick using faster payments / credit card.
2672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinist: Litecoin Halving: Impact on Exchange Rate, Mining Profitability on: August 19, 2015, 04:51:11 PM

Wonder who will pick it up first Trex or C-Cex.  Bittrex like to see demand on Twitter they have said in the past so I suppose we can get tweeting if you want to see it on Trex.
2675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Greece to Receive 1,000 Bitcoin ATM's on: August 18, 2015, 04:17:16 PM
This is a good move however it would have been much more helpful to the people of Greece if this happened last year, it is a risk that Bitcoin could decrease in value but there is also the chance that it will increase so it is a risk.  Hell they had all their money in a bank which was supposed to be secure and look what happened so I would guess that Bitcoin is as safe as a bank right now in Greece.
2676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Big LTC Pump! August 2015! Welcome on: August 18, 2015, 02:03:34 PM

2677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Big LTC Pump! August 2015! Welcome on: August 18, 2015, 02:02:41 PM
Yeah not the best idea to send your LTC over to anyone right now, the price will go up it is going to happen this month ahead of the LTC halving so you can make a tidy profit yourselves no need to send anyone anything.
2678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which innovation in Bitcoin do you REALLY want? on: August 18, 2015, 12:33:07 PM
I would like to see faster transactions making it less frustrating, giving it that extra sparkle when trying to move towards mass adoption.  For a technology like Bitcoin and living in a fast paced society, having to wait around for minutes and minutes for a transaction to complete is madness, I have seen many other coins with amazing almost instant transactions and it ls quite satisfying.

Soooo what will happen when we go to C-Cex / Bittrex?  600 - 1000? you think?
2680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Master/Bachelor of Digital Currency Be A Popular Program? on: August 18, 2015, 11:10:19 AM
I think classes such as these will be more common place in 5-10 years time for the younger generation as the future will no doubt be digital currency.
