Shreyas Iyer ruled out of the India VS Newzealand ODI due to back injury. He will be now replaced by Rajat Patidar. I think it all depends on whom Rohit Sharma would select tomorrow as he has got other options too. It would be interesting to see who gets that opportunity. In all a competitive ODI series is expected as both these team have recently won ODI series respectively.

I am a big supporter of Bitcoin but it doesn't mean I would name my child as Bitcoin. Think about your child's future. He might be objectified due to his name in the school. This name can also invite unwanted attention. I personally don't like your idea but it is your baby you can do whatever you want to do. BTW  congratulations!

WIPL is now bigger than PSL!

WIPL media right per game sold at INR 7.5Cr to VIACOM18 which means JIO TV would be streaming it for free on its apps. I never thought that I would compare the media right of a women league tournament with men's league tournament. PLS per game media right is just INR 4.5Cr. This is very big considering WIPL has not yet started. If WIPL is able to generate good viewership in the next 5 years then I am sure it would become one of the biggest league  sports for women. BCCI has done a great job in uplifting women cricket. Now a lot young girls will dream of becoming a cricketer.
Please grow up, this is not fair compare because Pakistan and India are completely different countries and India having the biggest advantage in population, it's very simple.

Chill and enjoy Wink Wink Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Shocked Shocked

There is nothing to compare, but the EX PCB chairman Ramiz Raza's commented that WIPL would be nothing compared to WPSL. I thought, I should share. BTW BCCI haters would now gone into safe zone Tongue and in my opinion BCCI is the only cricket board that knows how to uplift women cricket. I am eagerly waiting for both franchise and players auction.

If you can question BCCI you should also praise its efforts. I did and hopefully many haters should do that too. Never shy away or excuse the truth! BCCI is the board that would make a difference and also make money more than any other cricketing boards.

Bloody hell!! KL Rahul is VC again, which means he'll play the first 2 tests for sure and he'll open with Rohit.
I did mentioned it on the ODI thread that this guys has secured his berth after his performance in the second ODI against Sri Lanka. In the third ODI he again lost his wicket after scoring just 7 or 6 runs. This is how you keep your berth safe in the playing 11, when in the past you have proven yourself.

Jadeja is back in the squad but his fitness status is still not clear. SKY's name is surprising considering there are a bunch of guys breaking tons of records in Ranji.
Sir, Jadeja is a legend! I am happy that he is part of the squad. What I am excited about whether both Axar and Sir Jadeja both will be part of the playing 11. It seems Axar is trying to get his position. It would be awesome to see both these two playing and also delivering what India needs ( A series win). In my opinion Axar has proven that he can replace Jadega.

Sharma ji ka ladka who happens to be a skipper for the Indian team was talking about how it's hard to get a perfect game for any team and he was hoping more or less perfect match for his team.

Well, he got what he wanted. The winning margin is 317 runs, that's what a perfect match looks like for any team.

Young guy Gill scored his second ton, the captain himself got a few runs, and then Koach got the daddy hundred.

Siraj, Shami, and Kulee were too good for Lankan's batters.

I am sure this win might be the biggest one in the history of ODI cricket. I was hearing the commentary of Harsha Bhogle and he did mentioned it as it was by a huge margin. I have no doubt now that MD Shiraz can now be a regular bowler for both ODI & Test squad.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 15, 2023, 02:16:44 PM
What a fabulous effort by Shiraz to get 5 wickets in an innings that to in a white ball game. Today wasn't his day but the way this guy has been bowling I am sure he will get another opportunity. This series might open the eyes of Srilankan board on how bad this team is in an ODI. India has dominated this series which in my opinion is a good sign before the world cup.

The ongoing ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup 2022/23 has witnessed a rare incident. Yesterday there was a match between the UAE U-19 women's team and the Scotland U-19 women's team. All the 11 players in the UAE team were Indian citizens. I believe that this is the first time in the history of ICC that all the players in one of the "national" teams is represented by another nation. Also, all the 11 players in the US team (in the match against Sri Lanka) were of Indian origin, but a majority of them were citizens of the United States.

LOL! The complete team for both these countries are of Indian origin. I can understand about US but UAE should have gone for players from other countries like Pakistan l, Srilanka, Bangladesh or from UK, SA & AUS. When they are buying players from the market they should have diversified it. I guess the coach and the team management might be also of Indian origin or BCCI might have some kind of contract of supplying players to the UAE board.

India VS Srilanka

The final ODI between these two teams will be played today. As India has already won the series I am sure there would be some changes in the playing 11 for today. I hope to see both Ishan Kishan and SKY playing today. Today's match would be very important for the Srilankan side and they would try their level best to win it. India would be going for the whitewash. The Indian bowlers have been absolutely impressive especially Shiraz & Umran. The batters are still struggling and are not at all consistent with their performance. Hopefully we might see some good batting today.
2670  Local / India / Re: Cryptocurrency 2023! on: January 13, 2023, 01:49:12 PM

I haven't been posting much, but I never missed a day for all these days in the past to visit the forum to update what is happening around crypto market but the reason I created this thread is I saw a thread about local board activity on meta where I found only 32 posts were made in a month if I am not wrong, so I decided to make some contribution to bring some traffic here, and I expect every fellow Indian community members to do the same.

Good to hear that someone is active and keeps attack of what is happening around. I did try to activate this board but no one from our country seems to be interested as most of them are only checking or working on the Bounty board. Another thing is that their is no encouragement from any Merit source.

Government may successfully reduce the trading on paper, but they forced the users to use the back door because of unfairly high tax rate, so I can see a lot of activity on p2p like LBC again than before which says Indians didn't boycott crypto trading but they are off the radar due to the government rules.

I would still suggest you to wait till 2024. I am and many other Indian crypto communities are expecting some very harsh treatment from this government. We all know Modi will comeback but whether in full majority is something debatable.
2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 13, 2023, 01:25:50 PM

Even now I don't like their idea of being heavily dependent on the Indian market for revenue and viewership.

Either you do not understand economy or you never understood the business of cricket. Every cricket playing nation has started its own league and some country in the middle east that do not have thier proper cricket team want to mint money with it own league tournament. Do you think they would be able to beat IPL?

I mean in the Indian subcontinent most countries are struggling to feed thier citizens with food and then they compare the 5th largest economy and it's cricket board. LOL!

One advantage is that JioCinema is streaming all the matches for free. So Indian fans don't need a cable TV connection to watch these matches (although the matches are being shown in Sports18 and Sports18HD as well).

I guess Indian players are not playing in this league. I do not expect this SA tournament to get views from India or any other country. They might get some from SA. As you wrote that it is JIO that is streaming this tournament for free. I would like to inform you that JIO will be doing the same for IPL for all it's users, starting this season of IPL.

2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 13, 2023, 01:08:31 PM
Playing on thier home ground and getting destroyed is the speciality of Pakistani team. BTW, they won the toss and  choose to bat first. I think that decision might be a mistake. We will only know it when the Kiwis start batting. I am expecting a target of 270 at the max considering Pakistan has only two overs left and lost 7 runs.
2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 13, 2023, 02:53:03 AM

Deep Dasgupta is boring.
Sunny G is only good when he talks about batting technique but most of the time he's cringeworthy.
Agarkar is okay in patches.
Murli Kartik should be banned.

-----
Anyway, India lost too many batters tonight and we have a long tail. 1 more wicket could make the match very interesting.

-------
Edit

Okay, you must be talking about Rusell, he's there too.

Yes, it was Russell I was referring too. I hate hindi commentary because of Akash Chopra. He sounds so dramatic & always talking nonsense. I admire Sunny ji, Deep Dasgupta reminds me of Sanjay Manjarekar and I hate his fake ascent. Murli Karthik is a crap, not so sure about Agarkar.

After yesterday's match KL Rahul has confirmed his berth in the playing 11 for this year. One good innings from last year till yesterday and this guy has secured his position. I won't deny that if he had gotten out India might have lost the game by a narrow margin.

I am expecting a lot of changes in the final ODI. I am referring to those talents who have been sitting in the dressing room and admiring the views since India has already won the series.

Pakistan VS Newzealand

The final ODI of this series will be played today. As this match is the decider I am hoping Pakistani batters take some ownership and not rely only on Babar Azam. Newzealand would be far much confident after the last win. They know the loopholes of Pakistani batting and would like to exploit it once again.

Firstly our board left stranded, and our fellow community members should revive and start the discussions again as in the past and I hope I can engage into the discussions as well regularly.

What is the hope for cryptocurrency in India especially this year, in my opinion not looking too great since the implementation of new tax policy last year but with the next government can something will change if there is someone who is in the position of making policies and also understand the potential in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

Great! Someone took the initiative to post an engaging topic on this board, as I have stopped doing it due to zero engagement & zero merits from Merit sources. It seems most of them are inactive at the moment.

Now, coming to what you have asked. A lot of revenue from tax has gone as most investors, traders and those who made a living on Bitcoin have shifted to international exchanges. A lot of investors/traders have shifted or made arrangements to do their business in crypto tax friendly countries.

The Indian government wanted to reduce crypto engagement and in my opinion they have been successfull as a lot of Indian exchanges have declared a traffic drop. In 2023 I am sure the government would not make any changes to the law as it is a preparation year for the next election which is scheduled in 2024. You can expect a complete ban in 2025.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 12, 2023, 12:40:09 PM
I do not understand why the Srilankan commentators are saying good over in Srilankan bowlers favour when the over conceded a 4 or sometime 5. In the end it is a 50 over match and if the Indian batters just score a 4 in every over still they can reach 200 runs. The rest can be through extras and some running in between the wickets. No idea why they are so happy as India has only lost 2 wickets and plenty batting is left as well as overs.

Edit: Kohli is out again unable to handle pressure. Give him a good opening and he will score a century, which did not happen this time.
Edit 2: Iyer gone, WTF!! It is only 216, why on the earth are they taking risk?
2676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 12, 2023, 11:08:49 AM
Srilanka won the toss and opted to bat first. A good decision as haze might play a role in the second half. Also the temperature tends to suddenly drop at night. I will not be easy for the Indian batters to chase the target set by the Srilankan batters. Any target which is 250+ would be good on this field.
I don't know what Sri Lankan batters are doing. They made a good comeback after an early wicket but now these guys are getting bamboozled by Kuldeep and Axar.

I was hoping for a big target chase but now it would be a miracle if SL crosses 200-220 mark.

101/1 to 126/6
I have never seen a team from the subcontinent struggling against spinners. Kuldeep & Axar destroyed thier middle order. Rest Umran & Shiraz took care off. None of the Srilankan batters were able to form a good partnership. They tried but eventually gave up against the good Indian bowling on a batter friendly pitch. A complete dominance by the Indian team. It is an easy target to chase and a win win situation for India.

India VS Srilanka

The second ODI between these two teams will be played today. The match will be played on Eden Gardens. The last time these two teams played on Eden Gardens, Rohit Sharma score 200+ runs. I am hoping a simpler kind of performance by this time too. I am expecting both Ishan Kishan and SKY to be part of the playing 11. The problem with Srilanka is lack of experience bowlers. I do not think Dilshan Madushanka will be part of the Srilankan playing 11 as he had dislocated his shoulder in the previous ODI. Their batters are in good form and I expecting a good & exciting game of cricket today.

I have been using my Android mobile device to access the forum for sometime now. In the beginning it was not that easy to zoom in and zoom out or reply but after few initial hiccups it went well. Using the mobile device bring more comfort than the PC as you can sit or lie down while going through different post. I have been using both Chrome & Firefox on my mobile device.

Pakistan again bowled well but the Kiwis bowled better. The whole Pakistani batting line up just collapsed. Only the Captain stood thier but was not that agressive considering the number of balls he faced. The series is now tied and the last ODI will decide who will win it. Pakistan are still the favourite but after today's game I think the Kiwis do have a chance.
