2661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much would you say one could realistically make a month trading? on: February 17, 2021, 08:12:08 AM
If doing it full time, starting from let's say $10,000 to play with, and btc being in between the same volatility now and how it was about a year ago when it was at around 6k..what could you net a month, realistically?
Candidly speaking there is no fixed or even rough figure as of how much one can earn with a given amount for trading because it all depends on what decisions you take like which coins you trade and if you are only trading Bitcoins lets say and price trading is the only option then there are still number of factors like what is your risk appetite and how much you are willing to use into each trade.

You cannot buy bitcoins with all the 10k you have for trading because if you do that, you might have to wait months in case the price drops and hence a number of factors will decide how much you can earn. The best strategy one can implement though is just buy and hold the coins because its been years and that seem like the easiest yet most effective strategy.
2662  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Contests 🏆 TvT 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: February 17, 2021, 06:36:42 AM
I don't agree that this is the same website since their first days.
Have you seen their humble beginnings here that they started with dice game only?
And now, look at the site, they have crash, roulette, plinko and slots.
So they manage to add more games on their site other than dice.
And they are still maintaining about 150+ online players, which is hard to see with other sites.
@TimeTeller I’ll second that because Windice is no longer a new site who’s struggling to make it’s mark in the gambling industry, rather over a period of time I personally feel that they have made it to the top 10 casinos list.

Furthermore they have updated their designs too, and they have been able to launch contests constantly without going bankrupt, and all these factors prove that Windice is a a successful casino.
They did added games and I really like that there are few people here "defending" them, that is actually great show of love that I always like on places I like. I know they added games, but none of them games that you can't find anywhere else, they are games you can find in other places. This is what I was trying to say, I didn't mean to say anything like "windice is a bad place to gamble", that was never my intention, in fact I have said multiple times in my message that it is a great place to play, I just wanted to say "they do everything they do amazingly, but what they do is limited" and that's it. I sure hope they add even more games and even more coins and grow this place bigger, that's all I wanted to say.
2663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: February 16, 2021, 03:22:02 PM
If you bet without a knowledge on the sports, that's betting blindly, if you bet with knowledge on the sports and the teams, that's normal betting.
It doesn't mean you'll win right away or even increase your chances of winning, if we talk about sports, it's entirely different if you are putting a bet on it speaking based on my experience.
Knowing play style of your team or players can certainly help if you know how to use it. I will share a few examples to explain it better.

Tennis: There are certain players who don't press for every return game like Federer so you can bet on the opponent to win their serve.

Cricket: Some teams are slow starters while some are explosive from start like Australia so you can bet on over/under for the powerplay overs based on that.

Esports: Some teams do better on particular maps (CS:GO) and you can use that data when betting.

So, it matters when you bet on sports having some knowledge but it does not guarantee that you will win every time, it just increases your chances a bit.
2664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do gambling websites start investigating accounts only after big wins? on: February 16, 2021, 01:29:32 PM
The biggest question here is, if the gambling website starts investigating that player's account after a big win, then why doesn't the gambling website start the investigation when that player starts losing money? I think a solution to the problem should be found. Because those who are experienced can get their money back by posting on Bitcointalk and various places but there are many inexperienced people who can't tell their problem in the right place so they don't get their money back anymore. So this seems to me to be a big problem for gamblers.
Yes, they do so and the reason why they investigate only after big losses even baffle me. Maybe they don't mind a player cheating them and getting away with a few bucks but once the player wins big they make sure everything was legit.

The worst part in my opinion is when crypto gambling sites ask for KYC because seriously anyone would rather play at a casino and sports betting platform like bet365 instead of crypto casinos because despite the big features offered by crypto casinos we have to admit that we are far behind in terms of fiat casinos like bet365 or williamhill.

And asking for KYC does nothing because if a player has cheated in some ways just tell them the reason and there's no need to know "who" they are to tell them why they are wrong.
2665  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 Billion in Bitcoin! on: February 16, 2021, 08:58:24 AM
This time gonna be different than our "usual" cycle of crypto pump and dump like never before. So many adoption that crypto got, the higher chance of bullrun gonna goes on and continuing until  the price well above $50K.
Now the current price is even at $48K which means $50K gonna be a piece of cake as long as the good news always coming.
Indeed and Tesla is one of the biggest carmaker company and them accepting Bitcoins payments means a lot and also Elon being so vocal and positive about crypto is a great sign for all the crypto investors and our community as a whole. I would wish a day comes when Elon comes here and do some discussion with us community because I already feel like he is more attached to bitcoins than we thought.

Some of his moves are poor like pumping dogecoin because that is something John McAfee used to do as he was paid to promote some shit coins. Good thing is he isn't promoting any ICO but promoting dogecoins might turn out dirty at the end, I have a feeling.
2666  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do i need to be a successful trader ? on: February 15, 2021, 08:22:06 PM
should I add anything to this?
What you need to add is basics because from what I can see you know more than what average traders know and some features you mentioned even I am not aware of them. What you need to add to your trading is things like panic control and avoiding greed because in crypto trading specially you need more of these kind of traits than advanced knowledge which you mentioned.

Maybe in stocks market the tactics you mentioned are important but really from what trading I have done and learned in years I have seen that what really makes me profitable is just knowing the right time to sell and hold. You can be a successful trader just by selling and buying coins at right time, these indicators and features you mentioned might help further.
2667  Economy / Speculation / Re: When BTC Bull run will end? on: February 15, 2021, 05:43:04 PM
Can anyone guess [educated guess please] when the current bitcoin bull run will end? The last bull run ended around 8th January 2018. It would be interesting to know when the bull run game will over.
The answer I like the most is "it will never end" Cheesy. I mean surely there will be a period when it ends but I do agree that we have switched into another system now and I do not think that bull run will "end", it will probably just slow down.

I know people have been here for years, some even decades and we have seen that bitcoin moves up and down, up AND down so everyone is expecting that fall as well and I get it, that makes sense and it is understandable. However as long as these huge companies keep buying in billions, there is really not that much chance that bitcoin could go down, it is something that prevents the price from becoming bear again.

The biggest reason 2018 happened was that there were companies and rich people selling, remember all that mt.gox trustee selling 30k+ in one order is really something else. Instead of rich people selling coins, we have rich companies buying crypto.
2668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Altcoin's loss become Bitcoin's gain? on: February 15, 2021, 04:39:15 PM
the influence of @elonmusk's tweet on altcoins that have so far been neglected to reach their peak and at their best is something that seems like a dream, but it is a reality. but unfortunately it could not last long but gradually returned to it even though it was still in the best position.

I agree that this year is the year of altcoins because there are also altcoins that have just grown into the best altcoins even shifting the old altcoins and so far have not experienced a sharp decline and still perch in a very good position from the altcoin ranking.
maybe this shows something changes that will show that the time altcoins will increase this year.
Do you wonder what would happen if he had like a pump and dump type of situation? I mean think of Elon actually sharing one coin everyday for the next year, or even one coin per week would be 52 coins a year, that would be quite awesome. The moment he shares a tweet, everyone will rush towards getting it, and price will pump to x5+ price and it will go down afterwards to a level where it is higher than the initial price but much lower than the increased price.

I think that would be both very beneficial for crypto community to have Elon constantly interested in crypto like that, but it would be also not so great because prices going up means it goes down too and some people will lose money during that period as well. I wonder if he could try like 3-4 times and we see what would be the result, at least we would have an idea if it will be good or bad.
2669  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling to lock in profit question... on: February 15, 2021, 09:25:15 AM
am I at a more disadvantaged position because I am now purchasing the coin at 15 cents, when I had once purchased it at 10 cents?
Not sure how others see this but for me if I purchased a coin at 10 cents and was able to sell it off at 20 cents then I would have no problems investing again at 15 cents the profit amount from the previous trade. But this, given the coin is not falling off because at times when a coin is falling you never know if its going through a rough time or the project is dead moving ahead.

I would rather sell some part of coins at 20 cents and then buy back from that profit amount at 15 like I said if there is some scope at least short term. This thing has happened to me so many times because when Bitcoin was like 10k I was confused as I bought some at 5k and was wondering if I should sell and when it reached 20k I was feeling I should have bought more at 10k and now again I think I should have bought at 20k so the cycle goes on.
2670  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Contests 🏆 TvT 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: February 14, 2021, 05:17:23 PM
I am new to you site and wanted to understand couple of things, like how can I use your Win coin, does it have any market value or can I exchange that to any other coin? Also, to participate in the chat is there any minimum level requirement or wagering requirement so that can be part of your rains too.

To answer your question to the point, i will tell you to the point.

WIN Coin doesn't has any value at all, it also doesn't listed on any exchange because it's like free money to test windice. All WIN coin will be reset in every 24hours too

You don't need to wager or reached any rank to eligible the rain. But more you chat and play, the bigger chance you will get the rain.
Honestly ever since that was created, I haven't gambled here, not because it was created just happen to be coincidence that I was getting bored of this place at the same time. I hope nobody takes this too seriously, I still think this place is a great place, and if anyone never played here before, should definitely come here and gamble for sure.

But, it is a dice website and it is the same website since their first days, on pandemic period while every other casino got a huge spike in their user numbers and interest towards gambling, this place got lower and lower because they never change themselves. So, it is an amazing great awesome website for people who never played here before, and after 4-6 months it starts to become very boring and everyone leaves it to find something that is a bit challenging and different, that is how it should be if you want to keep players you should have changes time to time.
2671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about new projects on: February 14, 2021, 08:05:19 AM
finally scamper like that will not get anything for longterm in case if people not learn from their mistake.
but its impossible they will learn and can avoid scam project like that, unfortunately new people will always come to crypto that why scamer always been there for newbie.
Unfortunately scammers will always be rampant in any part of the world but to think that it only happens in crypto would be naive, it happens everywhere and in everything and there is no way that you could avoid that at all. Of course it is going to happen in crypto, it happens with dollars too, do you think nobody gets scammed in dollars? There was no scamming anyone 15 years ago? Scammers existed for centuries and it will always go on, they did it with gold coins centuries ago, they did it with banknotes, they do it with banks now and they keep doing it with crypto as well.

So, newbies need to be careful of course, because that is how you handle these things, without them you are not going to make a lot of profit and you are going to lose all your hard earned money if you are not careful, that is a very important part of business in any currency.
2672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are you guys trading today? on: February 14, 2021, 04:16:56 AM
Bitcoin (BTC) continues to be stagnant at $32k giving time for some alts to recover at a certain level where they can compete like Polkadot (DOT) and Chainlink (LINK). Ethereum (ETH) still on its streak of going up maybe going after an all new ATH. But the real competition starts with top 4 to 10 giving them more chance to gain resistance at this stagnant market. What are you guys trading today?  Huh
I get that everyone has their own things but when we are talking about "trading" you could do it with anything you want, literally any coin you want. Of course you should not pick any coin that would be destroyed by your presence, there are some coins that has such a low volume and liquidity that with few thousand dollars you could literally destroy the whole market and drop the price or increase it and you would be in big trouble.

But, if you pick any coin that would not be bothered by just few thousand dollars, you could get in there, trade within the spread and get out with profit. That is why it is always smarter to pick coins that are in the top 100, but any one of them would do. Why you could do it for any one of them? Because it is all about knowing how to trade, if you know how to trade you can do it with anything and make a profit.
2673  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin is going cross $50k? on: February 13, 2021, 05:27:03 PM
The price didn't hit the 50k yet but we can expect that when bitcoin ever so touches that 50k resistance, consider it broken because I was observing patterns that every time bitcoin hits a certain price point like 20k, the 30k was a smooth ride which means that in 20k the resistance is strong but the next 10k which is the 30k, the market simply glided in and then come the 40k resistance which we yearned to break for about a month and it has finally been broken when Tesla bought 1.5 billion worth of bitcoin and @romero121 might be right about prices going up if there is someone that is going to follow what Tesla has done.
50k is not even just a regular resistance point, kind of like 20k as well as 10k too, it is a psychological barrier that needs to be broken. What this means is that, regular resistance points just have people who sell at that price a lot, there are insane amount of bitcoin that is being sold on 50k limit price, and in order to go beyond that, we need buyers who would buy the regular market sellers, then miners who sell, then some more to increase, and also all the 50k resistance point sells which means buyers needs to be a whole lot more than sellers to reach there. That is regular breaking point right?

Well, the psychological is that sellers think that we can't go above it too much, and buyers think it might be difficult to go beyond it as well. Which means during a period when we need people to buy more, and much much more, people are thinking it is very tough to go beyond it, so it creates an extra layer of problems.
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 13, 2021, 04:13:02 PM
This Wicket is much slowest as we have in first test look like its going to be good contest between both teams because after first test win England is confident side but if India  manage to reach 400 or 425 then surely some pressure on England which could be very important for India Root could be key for England as others not doing good tomorrow first session will good shape to this test match.
Yeah, I agree this pitch is going to be complete different one compared what we have seen for the first test. When pitch is going to be different means if England will be set to chase on 5th day, then they might have some chances to win unlike how India on last day of 1st test match of this series. Anyway I am not seeing that India could post 400+ total tomorrow as morning session will be challenging one and only Pant is the recognized batsmen there, so any 1 or 2 wicket will wrap up India below 350 or hardly 380 runs.

In some wild guessing which are based on pitch conditions and home advantage of India, I guess this 2nd test match may end up in draw. This is the reason I just stayed away from betting for this match. Today Rohit batting was one of the thing I enjoyed even I did not have any open bet with this match.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice games on: February 13, 2021, 03:01:05 PM
Is there any specific strategy that someo uses making you more likely to win ?

It's a simple game and I tried to figure out a way by placing extremely small small bets with bot but in real I don't know do you guys have any idea ? What would work? If the dice game is not entirely luck based ? Because there are people who make such assumptions therefore am curious.

Would be glad to hear your strategies.
One of the strategy I am making use to escape from losses is martingale-on-multiple-houses. If your gambling house allows multiple accounts then you may try this at one house but with multiple accounts. (I remember yolodice allows us to have multiple accounts but I did not try there as there are enough trusted houses to play with my strategy).

Let me explain what I am doing with my strategy. When you go doubling your base-bet after a loss, you need to play on different house. But the hard requirement for this strategy is, you must have multiple accounts with balances on more than 5 gambling houses. Finally you need to calculate your profits/losses across all houses; I tried with 1000 dogecoin on each of house and with based bet at 0.001 doge. When you withdraw from all the houses into one wallet you can really see your profits at the end of the day.
2676  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal cryptocurrency trading volume beyond expectations on: February 13, 2021, 08:55:24 AM
It is mutually beneficial. You can't say that the Bitcoin users didn't benefited from the move, because the exchange rates shot up immediately after the news was first published. The rally took exchange rates from $10,000 to $42,000. Some of it can be attributed to the supply crunch which was caused as a result of the block reward halving, but PayPal was the main driver.

And I believe that once they add full functionality to the US users, such as the options to make payment with PayPal BTC and withdrawal of PayPal BTC to non-PayPal wallets, we will see a tremendous jump in adoption. So right now we have two factors that are working in favor of Bitcoin. The first one is adoption by PayPal (and others such as MasterCard taking steps towards their own adoption of BTC). The second one is the interest shown by corporations such as Tesla to use Bitcoin as a store of value.
Wait wait wait, you think paypal caused the price to move from 10k to 42k? First of all we moved from 10k to 20k range before the paypal news broke out, secondly we moved from 30k levels at the start of january to 47k+ the other day, do you think that was paypal too?

You can't just name everything is thanks to paypal, sure it had a hyped help that pumped the price a bit but it was literally smaller than Elon Musk tweeting and Tesla buying bitcoin, so paypal was minor compared to those things. We went up before paypal and after paypal and we would have even without paypal for sure. In any case I have to say that paypal didn't hurt it of course, we did had some benefits, I just do not like the "way" they did it, but no matter how they did it, it was definitely beneficial for both sides, not a whole lot, not 10k to 42k but it did benefited a bit.
2677  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Biden raise the federal minimum wage from 7.25 USD per hour to 15 USD? on: February 12, 2021, 04:15:56 PM
There are jobs where the staff receive tips, for example restaurant waiters. If the $15 per hour minimum wage is made applicable across these sectors, then it will impact very negatively on the business. Also, the main question is whether $15 per hour as minimum wage is fair or not. The question is whether the timing is right. The unemployment rate is at all time high, and this move will just worsen the unemployment crisis in the United States.
First of all if there is a job that gets tips on top of that 15 dollar per hour, let them be, that is their right and that is how it should be done, there is no reason why people should not make more money, there is literally zero argument to be made that people should be making less money than they possibly can with this, like I said any business that can't handle 50 year inflation and can only survive by paying 1970 wages to not fire people should bankrupt and owners should be so broke that they end up working for 7.25 dollars themselves to understand the problem.

However the unemployment is just a ruse that rich people use to show you how it is not the right time, believe me this is the right time, the grocery store type places, amazons, walmarts, targets and many other places made combined 1.8 trillion profit in 2020 thanks to pandemic, their workers got extra pay for just one month. Believe me the money is there, if companies start firing people that is because they are greedy not because they can't afford it.

That's crazy, I am a fan of NBA and I can tell you that odds of knowing all of these games at the same time is very very slim.

Even when you gamble on who will win the game knowing all this many games in a row is a very difficult thing to do, but instead of just money line, this dude basically gambled on over/under in all of them and its always very difficult to predict what it will be like, sure you could have a sense of what could happen, you know who will do how, but at the same time its quite common that a team could just take it away and score a lot and get lucky and then garbage time players will score a lot etc etc so a game that people expect to end under 220 points becomes 250+ points, or vice versa two teams with very bad defenses but good offenses end up playing and score under 200 combined, these things happen in NBA way too frequently, so to know all these games is very very crazy to a NBA fan.

More accepted payments definitely an advantage for the players but to the site? They are going to increase their budget for the same amount of revenue they are making. I would say better have the coins which are widely accepted and cheaper transactions than keep increasing the list with no actual use.
I am not sure if it is the same amount of revenue, it is definitely bigger revenue when you have certain amount of coins. I remember I was looking for a place to gamble with ETH (this was pre-20+ dollar fees) and I was checking my favorite places and there was only 3 places that accepted it, so I picked wolf.bet since I liked them a lot.

It means I would have picked another place if wolf didn't had ETH, and that is just me with small amount only, that is one example, there must be a ton of people who gamble here because there is a certain coin and wouldn't gamble here if that coin wasn't available, this means there is a lot more revenue to be made with the coins you add. I say it is definitely something that people should look for and not really that difficult to add new coins neither. Wolf.bet certainly makes more money thanks to having this much options without a doubt.
2680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential of an altcoin on: February 12, 2021, 10:04:27 AM
Hi all, I would like to understand how to calculate the potential of an altcoin in order to understand when it is a good time to sell it.
In my specific case for example I bought INJ in December and now the profit is about 600% .
Should I compare INJ to an existing well established similar altcoin (if they exists) to understand its potential?
I know I should set in advance a price when starting to sell, but this could be 100%, 200% etc of profit but which to choose?
I end up checking what the potential of it based on what the community is thinking and what the market is doing and what the roadmap is like as well. I personally believe that if you end up buying something and it goes up, you probably know if you should sell or not based on your initial goal.

If I buy something for 100 dollars and I say that I will get out at 500 dollars and it becomes 600 dollars, I will just put a stop loss at 500 and wait, that way if it goes down to 500 I sell and still make 5x profit, if it doesn't drop that way and continues to go up, I will be still in profit by having the price keep going up anyway. So long story short, have a goal before you go in, if it goes beyond that goal, put a stop loss, and just keep on waiting, if it ever makes it to another goal you picked change that stop loss to the new goal and so forth.
