2661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: August 30, 2021, 11:48:52 PM
I believe that gambling activities should not be taken so seriously, compared to other platforms that need the use of KYC.

Gambling sites are being pressured. Imagine someone can get away with a $10,000 single withdrawal or $50,000 and the government doesn't receive any tax.

Before, we didn't imagine exchanges will ask for KYC but since the centralized system is now taking over, we might end up in a mandatory KYC too on gambling sites, maybe around 5 years from now.

I hope it won't happen and just can be requested to us if there's something unusual on our account with valid basis.
2662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card bans introduced in Ireland. on: August 30, 2021, 11:35:49 PM
They just make things complicated. They can just ask the gambling site operators to remove credit card purchases on their payment method option. Why ban is still the term used there.

I read in the article that it's for safer gambling but even with no credit card used, I don't see how it will reduce the gambling usage of people.

As mentioned in the article too, "The credit card ban will be in place both online and in shops" then what's the use of credit card ban payments if cash payments are still active and accepted at their physical shops. I know they want to save people from taking loans but there's a better idea to solve it.
2663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 30, 2021, 11:26:39 PM
they still have  a healthy Cabagnot, Chris Ross, and Lassiter,

These guys are healthy but now showing signs of lack of athleticism especially Marcio Lassiter and Alex Cabagnot.

That's the point why they sign Romeo and CJ Perez to fill the slots of these two once retirement came. Since SMB can do everything about trades, it becomes possible for them to solve their future problem right away. Influence at its finest lol.

who would forget ArWIND Santos who also played a vital role of the team's succcess.

+1 for you.

I didn't notice that lol.

Drop a post on their ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2897545.0

Sometimes with lots of queries, forum representative will check first their ANN thread before DMs, and since they set their message settings not to received PM by newbies, you don't have any choice.

The thread is not active for around a month and their forum representative too. But in case they go online, at least they will read your problem right away.
2665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPN into a betting deal worth 3 billion dollars $$$ on: August 30, 2021, 11:04:38 PM
What do you think Huh
I do believe they might get involved with the crypto casinos too soon enough!!
Something to watch out for.

Since it's ESPN, they already built a big name in the sports industry, and adding a gambling-related firm on their service, they might become a big competitor on fiat bookies competition.

But on the crypto side, I doubt they will be involved in it right away unless there's a mass call of request about it. Online gambling is currently in demand nowadays but on the side mostly of fiat online booking.
2666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 30, 2021, 10:56:56 PM
He can still make more money if he will continue his boxing career. Besides, I think he is enjoying his profession and not just after money alone.

In today's boxing that old-timers getting out of retirement, it was encouraging some veteran boxers to stay in the profession even they are now in the retirement age and even showing some signs of slowing down.

They got inspired by Floyd Mayweather Jr. that still generating good income even at retirement because of exhibition match where people are paying not because of the fight or match but on the boxer's name and reputation.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: August 30, 2021, 10:41:53 PM
Their fight on September 11 will be real bouts and not just an exhibition. Meaning, it will be more thrilling and entertaining to watch and witness who will be the declared winner. The two will fight an eight round game with two minutes alloted time each round. Hopefully, the two will execute and give us a worthwhile game to see. Given that it will be broadcast in pay-per-view (because it's a boxing sport).

I don't really consider this as professional bouts even the fight is an undercard of a professional match. It's still more like an exhibition for me.

I think they can yield more money if they come back fighting on their usual sport which is mixed martial arts. It will be more supported and patronize by the fans because that's their specialty and that sport make them famous and reputable on that stage. Imagine, they are MMA fighters then suddenly will come out from retirement and will do boxing. I don't see any significance in doing that but only for pure money purposes.
2668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 29, 2021, 05:22:18 AM
while Casimero is still fresh , aging 31 while Nonito is 38 ? i will surely bet on John Riel in this fight .

We should not include the age here. Try to watch how Nonito gives heavy damage to the top 1 Inoue, which is also a young boxer, in their finals matchup. It was the first time in Inoue's career to be sent to the hospital right after the fight that's why a rematch is possible to settle it all.

Casimero might have an advantage over Donaire but it doesn't mean a sure win. I don't want to compare the Rigo vs Casimero to Rigo vs Donaire. They should clash no matter what before facing Inoue.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 29, 2021, 05:04:34 AM
Playing all healthy,? the chance of winning the title is really high for SMB.

The power combo of Romeo and CJ with Fajardo and Mo' adding Santos to complete the power 5 for me personally.
coming off the bench, there's still the big 3 of Lassiter, Cabagnot and Ross.

If the topic is about playing all healthy, I'll go with BGSM or Magnolia.

Let's face the fact here. SMB is not the way before. Aging hitting them up. I hope no criticism from the die-hard SMB fans here that just looking at the names instead of status. Cheesy We have different views.

But personally, I like Phoenix, ROS, or TNT to reach the final or be a champion this conference for a change.
2670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2020 caused a spike in gambling issues on: August 29, 2021, 04:44:24 AM
Many people today getting quarantine in their homes and some of them get might bored and they see gambling as an alternative to satisfy their self but this is not the most ideal thing there's money involved in gambling

Being bored is not the reason. With or without quarantine these people will still expose to gambling.

If a person really dedicated to change their gambling addiction, it should start with themselves. Watching sports should also not be the point we should look at why there are great numbers of people being addicted to gambling.

It's ok for me that people gamble even to the point they are losing much as long as they know what they are doing. I have known some people who loses much in gambling during the pandemic. They feel sad and regretful but know how to move on.
2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: August 29, 2021, 04:19:27 AM
If Anderson Silva is getting the opportunity to make money at this age, why could not he be interested in fighting Jake Paul who could help him make more money than fighting anyone else and hence you cannot blame him as he could easily make millions of dollars fighting Jake Paul.
There is no pressure for Anderson Silva to sell out the card because he is not the main event and i wonder how Tito Ortiz came to the picture.

They are not in their prime anymore and if they look for money, they would choose to fight someone that is already popular, and though we don't like the Paul Brothers, we have to admit that they attract a crowd in their fights as they had previously proven it, and also, they can easily promote a fight using their youtube channels with millions of followers.

Anderson Silva is a big name therefore he can demand an exhibition match with the same level of him and not the Paul brothers. Please tell me how much Paul brothers generated money with their name as the heavy name on their matches? There is no need for him to go down a level with Jake Paul.

See my point here? Silva can do exhibition matches and possibly gained more revenue if he is against a name on the same level nor a name that is already professional in their respective industry. Since it's an exhibition no worries if one will be injured or not, no different if Silva will fight Jake Paul but the reward money is much better.
2672  Economy / Services / Re: I would like to make a sports betting bot for stake.com is it possible ? on: August 29, 2021, 04:03:06 AM
Is it possible ?
Any programer here who can help me ? And thank you

There are programmers who can help out there but I think it's not that simple "any programmer here who can help me"? You might want to offer some money in order to attract them. Searching the Stake platform there's no API you can work at which means everything will start on scratch and just to be safe, you can contact Stake if that's even possible to do even there's no mention of bots nor related things on their terms of service.

Just a suggestion, you can also consider sharing the thread on Project Development as most programmers or any knowledge with coding are mostly there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0

Create a thread there for their attention, link this thread then locked. No need to lock or move this thread since it's more appropriate here.
2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 29, 2021, 03:42:42 AM
We can't trust Westbrook or Melo or the other new guys to blend in immediately with the Lakers system.

I partially agree with Mel but not on Westbrook. The latter will surely try to adjust right with the Lakers system. We already saw the Westbrook 2.0 last season wherein he cooperate and give way to Bradley Beal as the main scorer. Westbrook will also surely be part of the Lakers starting lineup and I'm expecting good quality minutes will be given to him. I'm giving only a few days and he will catch up soon and form chemistry with his teammates.

If ever either Lebron and AD aren't present, the combination of Westbrook and Melo is already tested back in their OKC days so adjustment shouldn't be a problem to them.
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: August 29, 2021, 03:27:09 AM
It seems Casimero want this fight so badly that he is willing to travel to Japan just to fight Inoue
Casimero willing to travel to Japan for Inoue fight

Too much aggressive. Let the organizers handle it. He is just showing how hungry he is for a good contract amount. He now successfully gets the attention of Inoue so lets the giant come to him. Business is business. Organizers should see if the fight will get enough attention not just in Ph and Japan but the whole world for that fight to happen right away.

Most possibly we will see it next year regardless if it will get the attention of the world as that's what unification match is all about.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sports Gambling Websites on: August 29, 2021, 03:07:09 AM
Nitrogen has had issues over the past few months so it's best to avoid them for now.

That was subjective. You shouldn't say to others to avoid them but rather just say be cautious. In fairness to Nitrogensports, I still consider them as one of the best old sportsbooks out there. If compare to Stake or Sportsbet, these sites are no question more popular and are mostly used now because of continuous marketing up to date.

Cloudbet and Nitrogensports are some of the old sites here that I have tested although I prefer to use the latter compare to Cloudbet. I don't know why I switch maybe because of promotions that I have totally forgotten.

Currently, I'm using Stake more than others but am always open to trying other websites.
2676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Cryptocurrencies on: August 29, 2021, 02:44:25 AM
Have you guys switched from one cryptocurrency to other on account of continuous loss in gambling. If so what is the coin that has brought in big winnings as well as losses. Myself had thought of switching to other cryptocurrencies from ethereum and bitcoin once after every loss. After a long today myself tried with TRX instead of bitcoin.

I switched for fees and not because of whether I winning or losing in gambling. It doesn't have a connection or is related to our winning or losing experience.

The output is just the same whatever coins are used and it won't affect our luck chances. Since I care for fees, that's the reason why I used other coins to maximize the
amount that I will risk in gambling.

which made me realise it is not about the cryptocurrency and it is all about the luck.

It's not really about cryptocurrency and that's a weird idea. Cheesy
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 29, 2021, 02:37:56 AM
Caleb Plant will gain a lot if he wins this fight from being an unknown he will become a household name,

If you are talking about the purse money, Caleb Plant won't gain much if he wins. The purse was set fixed on which Plant will earn $10M while on the other hand, Canelo will take home $40 as far as the terms are concerned.

If you are talking about reputation and fame, Caleb Plant will surely gain a higher rank and more money offer in the future if he will able to pass the heavy favorites Canelo.

PBA will soon rise. Guys, it's pandemic so expect there's a scenario of being down but not actually down as they are still here and looking for every option to start.

It won't also be left by top companies who are in PBA for several decades. It's understandable that they are dealing in losses since it's pandemic. The downfall will be if there's no pandemic and they are still at the bottom. That's more of a serious problem since it's now about the lack of support from the community.
2680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: August 27, 2021, 11:58:16 PM
just wondering why aged boxers are still going back? is it because of pandemic and they find a way how to extract money from their fans at the same time, going back to their passion in this sports?

Because they saw exhibition matches are profitable even pandemic. They got inspired by those who started it first.

Actually, that Silva vs Ortiz is supposed to be an exhibition but got sanctioned that it needs to be a professional so they are included in the undercard of Dela Hoya vs Belfort match which is also a professional match.

Silva is supposed to fight Logan Paul but good thing it didn't happen. Can't believe Silva is interested to go down his level to fight Paul.
