2661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST SPORTS BETTING PICKS - GUARANTEED PROFIT - WOSPORT [#1 PREDICTIONS] on: February 11, 2022, 01:59:00 PM
You never run out of money if you follow our money management instructions, for example the bets on the spreadsheet are with a bankrol of $5000. All about discipline and money management.

1 Year and a half into betting, and never 'lost all my money' as you said.
That could also be taken as you never earn money no? The effect is simply breaking even in most, if not all scenarios. Never losing money doesn't mean it's a guaranteed profit after all. Might just be OP using different words, but it can be used as a play on words tbh, to make users misunderstand the terms of what OP is providing. Honestly, I'd follow bttzed's recommendation about an escrow if you really are willing to do the 100% refund. Otherwise, I highly doubt people would be willing to risk their money.
2662  Economy / Gambling / Re: Paddleboat Mississippi, new poker site with low fees and good privacy on: February 11, 2022, 09:45:21 AM
Hmm, interesting, site UI looks pretty old style, nonetheless rather clean though and uniform all throughout (from what I can see). Still, if you were trying to advertise the site as a business then I doubt it could get much traction, but if it was solely for people who want to play and stuff like that (kind of like god field if you know about it) then yea, it could work as one, especially with the timeout feature which looks rather interesting imo.
It took you one year in order to develop this website?
Sorry for the question, but are you a newbie programmer?
Could be, or that it didn't necessarily took a year but rather just spread out the work in that year.
2663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin overtakes USD dollar? on: February 11, 2022, 06:50:16 AM
It's kind of unclear what overtake what you mean OP. If it was something along the lines of the general idea of Bitcoin standing above USD, then no, it won't. I've always believed in Bitcoin being an additional option/asset like the USD that people are able to use as a currency. Neither would dominate over the other nor would they actually kill each other. People would be able to pretty much use whatever currency they deem to be much comfortable. Even if Bitcoin adoption were to soar, and it was used as a currency instead of an investment (compared to now that is), it still won't make fiat disappear.
2664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 11, 2022, 03:48:01 AM
Always has been. If you were talking about short term investments, then I'd choose some other small-time coins that you think would be hyped up since the returns would be far greater than shorting Bitcoin (or any other top coins most of the time), but if we were talking about long term investments, I'd always prefer to choose Bitcoin. Still, it would always be better to spread your portfolio as much as possible, and not on just one coin or asset. Bitcoin may be the best investment (imo), but it isn't a guaranteed investment that you'd profit in, just like any other investment there is.
2665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 11, 2022, 12:26:45 AM
It all be good now, actually. But somehow, many are still thinking about a trap and consider this current situation a curse for them to lose. In fact, I don't see it either. Instead, we gonna see it moving high and reach back to $45k.
It's not odd, I mean if you were to look at what the past looked like, there have been many instances of traps in the market that happened. I mean it wouldn't be that odd for another dump to happen, and by then people would really be fearful and probably sell. I'd honestly just take it as a good sign that the market is slowly recovering, I just hope no big pumps happen since that again might cause the market to crash down to even lower levels than what we have right now.
2666  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What coin you like trading future on: February 10, 2022, 02:27:05 PM
I'm mostly on Bitcoin back then, I did try to do some other coins back in the past but I limited myself to trading coins that are in the top 50 coins, just to make sure that I won't lose much if I do actually lose. The longest altcoin I've traded were XRP, ETH and Doge, though I've stopped trading them now (and Bitcoin) and just started DCA strats onto the coins that I'd think would perform well in the long run, which includes Bitcoin on the list naturally.
2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Overthink Potential of Bitcoin on: February 10, 2022, 09:56:37 AM
People think that Bitcoin will free them from governments and corporations. This is not true at all. Will never happen. Governments and companies have had control or a say in all money systems since the beginning of time. Look at the  Roman Empire and the use of metals for currency
It's only to a certain extent, but it is possible. Plus, Bitcoin never did aim to completely replace the government, it was solely an alternative imo. I was never of the opinion that Bitcoin would, or should even try to replace the government, centralization was made in the first place because people wanted it after all. No matter how many Bitcoin enthusiasts want to replace Bitcoin, it'd never happen since in the first place, Bitcoin is a medium, it could never lead itself to replace the government(fiat).
2668  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: February 10, 2022, 08:27:49 AM
Simply saying gambling is reliant on luck and trading is reliant on educated guesses would be more than enough imo. It's like a well-prepared hiker vs a person who just decided to hike all of a sudden. Traders are people who risk their money while having the confidence that their risk would bring about some form of success, while gamblers are people who solely risk money. I'd probably not agree with the emotion part though, traders still sometimes get greedy and let their emotions get to them after all.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.com.au in probelms for unwanted gambling advertising on: February 10, 2022, 03:39:03 AM
Ig it was a mistake on their side, or the system rather? It should be rather obvious that sending advertisements to unsubscribed users shouldn't be done. Especially since they're running a gambling casino, which could make a lot of issues depending on how the status is reported. I don't think it's something new, but it is something I don't often see since most casinos tend to actually take this issue with quite the careful stance afaik.

Financial counsellors are also implying that they should put a whole ban on the gambling advertising. The company also was contacted by acma but they apparently continued to do it.
That, I don't think would actually happen. I guess there'd be more strict regulations for casinos to comply, but complete ban? Nope.
2670  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Inflation is a big problem for a country? on: February 10, 2022, 12:40:31 AM
Is it impossible to stop inflation in fiat currency or govt don't want to take any action it stop it? Do you think people can do anything to stop inflation in their economy or its inevitable?
It's not that it's impossible, it's that they don't, and for good reasons. Completely stopping inflation would hurt the economy, and a balance must be maintained for it to actually benefit the economy. Now, what damages the current state right now is that inflation is rising at high levels. Levels that are not beneficial for the economy of the country. It's to the point that people are losing their purchasing power when they aren't even doing anything with it.

Rather than stopping inflation, a more apt term would probably be controlling it?
2671  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit blocks withdrawals with 0.53 BTC in account on: February 09, 2022, 02:58:14 PM
It's 1xbit though.... I mean, idk even why people still actually use their site, especially if you were to DYOR a bit, you'd find a lot of negative reviews and reactions with how they're running their site. It's to the point that cases like yours, are well, nothing really new at this point, since it has happened in the past and could possibly continue to do so if people don't do their own research about the casinos they're actually trying to enter. Unfortunate for you OP, you don't even need to wait till feb 22, I hardly doubt you'd get an answer honestly. But if you do, well glad for you.
2672  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you manage gambling addict by taking drugs? on: February 09, 2022, 12:43:11 PM
No, it won't. That's a pretty dumb mindset to have ngl, Yes, it might remove him from his addiction from gambling, but it doesn't really solve the root problem since drugs would simply replace the void that was opened up due to forgetting about gambling. I honestly would recommend getting another hobby instead, maybe Gundam building, jogging, biking, idk. it may seem more expensive than gambling, but I'd honestly say it's a lot better since it wouldn't turn into an addiction, unlik gambling.
2673  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Giving Bitcoin to Employees on: February 09, 2022, 09:02:41 AM
Make it an option instead of a guarantee. There might be employees who would not prefer using crypto over fiat, after all, that is their paycheck, they probably use more than 50% for stuff that they need to pay. As for asking for a method, well, it shouldn't be that hard, if they wanted crypto in the first place they should already have their own wallets. If they don't I reckon you can prepare some paper wallets, no need to complicate it as much. It is going to be a temporary storage after all, until they can create their own which shouldn't take long imo.
2674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it involve risk connect metamask to opensea? on: February 09, 2022, 03:42:47 AM
I don't think so no. I don't know how it works specifically, but it's pretty much like allowing transactions between two points/networks when you connect metamask to opensea. It's like opening up a channel, BUT you still have the last word on whether a transaction would go through to the said channel (via metamask). You'd probably only get hacked really if the site you visited was a phishing site or you got human-engineered or something. So yea, just make sure you're visiting the correct site and are approving transactions you know you should approve.
2675  Economy / Economics / Re: Times Change! on: February 09, 2022, 12:52:08 AM
True, but we shouldn't blame them really. It was hard to believe on something that popped out suddenly as a form of currency, with what all the jargon that Wikipedia people probably didn't even know or understand about. Plus, well, they weren't alone. A lot of groups and companies probably believed it to be the same. We should be glad instead that they changed, after all, if they still refused to acknowledge Bitcoin even after all this time, then something is indeed wrong.
2676  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help me to find a good casino/bookie on: February 08, 2022, 02:50:30 PM
I'm dropping some of the ones I've personally used. I've tried Roobet, Wolfbet, Rollbit and FortuneJack. They're pretty solid casinos with pretty good customer support (as far as I experienced anyway), and have a pretty solid list of games. There's also others I've heard of such as stake (don't mind the accusations, they're just that, accusations) and Duelbits. There's probably a bunch more out there but those are the most notable ones I've heard and experienced. Do note that most of what I've said requires basic KYC though, so if you don't want those then probably better to find another.
The only thing that I don't understand is why most cryptocasinos require KYC? I understand this situation with fiat gambling sites, as they have to cover their asses with your KYC documents. However, in crypto you don't need to provide any proof of identity. So WTF? I see some casinos without this KYC requirements. That's good but they are not numerous.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5384564.0 Here's an entire thread that has some tidbits about why. tldr is basically it is a business requirement. Crypto may not require KYC, but gambling does.
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino KYC how it works and to what effect on: February 08, 2022, 01:16:14 PM
Realizing how negatively kyc is seen by many players mostly in cryptocurrency casinos players am confused what kyc does in a casino, why do some casino operators have kyc and others don't have. I email also a part of kyc because most casinos often than not request email. What are KYC's advantages and disadvantages.

Expect a casino to have a KYC if they have a license, this is compliant with their license issuer money laundering agreement, always be ready with your document even if you do not expect the casino to ask for KYC, once you joined a casino with the license they are legit and compliant with the existing laws and part of this is asking KYC from their players either random or if they think one account is questionable.
I expect it isn't random, they should have their own stuff that they're trying to judge whether they should ask for KYC or not, judging probably from the amount they bet (or are trying to withdraw) plus any suspicious activities, like maybe sudden deposits of big amounts when the user used to do small amounts and stuff like that. Any small things could turn suspicious if the user rarely do it, so they can probably do it like that. Honestly, it's understandable really. I may hate KYC but I know why they need to do it, but that doesn't still let me like it.
2678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lies and critics about bitcoins on: February 08, 2022, 09:58:15 AM
It isn't that surprising really, some articles maybe just a form of misunderstandings (or really, not understanding the topic itself) but it still does give traction to the site by the people who read the said topic. As long as the article seems pretty good, and all details intended were as is and the other misinformation or misunderstanding is solely the opinion of the journalist, it'd probably be allowed. Quality checks don't deign on stuff like that after all.

Plus, negative articles sounds more enticing to read for most people anw, at least it is for me when I know completely nothing of the topic.
2679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin book as surprising gift on: February 08, 2022, 04:53:54 AM
It'd probably be that I'd recommend books in the first place to people who actually like to read, and honestly, they're rather rare. Most people nowadays have quite short attention spans, especially on a completely new topic, and a rather complicated one (from the outside) like Bitcoin (or crypto in general). I had a few experiences with my friend first but that was because they were rather interested in it, they were asking stuff about what it is, how it works, and mainly how to earn money from it (which is their main motivation I think).
2680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino KYC how it works and to what effect on: February 08, 2022, 01:04:12 AM
Honestly I still don't know why most gambling platform decide to make KYC compulsory which I think should not be so. The use of KYC may have good reason to the gambling operators, but to players, it's total no. I know it could be use to know the real identity and the region their players comes from. Some gambling platform are regulated which the use of KYC is important when it comes to taxes, fine, restrictions and others.
Simple, legality issues. It's mostly due to their provider, or the country they are licensed in, which requires them to do KYC on certain situations (or maybe, on all occasions really) so that they can comply with the laws and whatnot that the country has. Honestly, I think most casinos wouldn't even bother KYC requirements if it weren't for those, it is additional work and I highly doubt they'd lose money if they didn't implement it, they might even earn more.

Plus, if they didn't, they'd be well something of a "banned, illegal site", which would turn away most players. With the label of a "legal casino", they can invite new players.
