Dhoni is the only Indian captain who has won the T20 world cup and adding him as a mentor will always help the team. I do not think this move by BCCI was to satisfy Dhoni's fans. I also feel that his playing time is over and now he should consider doing such activities for the next generation. The team looks good on paper but how well they perform on the field that matters. India only won once, so it is understandable that Dhoni is the only captain that won all the major tournaments for India. If it is not a move by BCCI to satisfy the fans of Dhoni, do you think he needs any money as he is well settled in life and he is still playing in the IPL. BCCI might have offered him VIP treatment just to be a part of the team and not in the playing eleven  . ~
Dhoni didn't got a proper retirement? The BCCI didn't dropped him from the team despite his poor form and that is enough I guess. He was too senior to be kept out of the playing XI and he was not performing either. The selectors were in a sort of dilemma with what to do with him. On top of that, his presence was also causing internal issues, as the team was split in to two opposing sides (one each led by Dhoni and Kohli). The last time Dhoni scored a ODI hundred was in 2017, but the BCCI persisted with him till 2019. I am not sure by which standard you view things, if you are not aware of it in 2019 Dhoni scored 600 runs at an average of 60 in ODI and you think he was not in form  . In T20 he averaged 43.33 in 2019 but he just played 5 matches. In the IPL i saw his swinging hard and scoring his patented six in this years IPL and in the last one even though they had a dismal performance as a team and how can you say he was not in form. I feel you guys believe everything the media writes, because Dhoni and Kohli shared a special relationship and that’s a key reason why Dhoni has been asked to come on board as a mentor. Also if BCCI wanted to satisfy his fans then they would have done it a long time ago by arranging a farewell match for him, and now I strongly feel that this was Kohli’s idea, because he knows Ms Dhoni’s presence will definitely help the Indian team. |

LOL.. England's poor run continues. However they don't have much to worry about it. As far as qualifying is concerned, they are firmly on track. After 6 matches, they have 16 points (only Denmark, with 18 points from 6 matches is having more points when compared to them in any of the groups). Other teams are far behind in Group I, with Albania and Poland competing for the second spot. Only 4 matches remain now, so the next few matches are going to be crucial. IMO, the toughest groups right now are Group H (Russia/Croatia), Group G (Netherlands/Norway/Turkey), and obviously Group A (Portugal/Serbia). @Sithara007 I feel it’s fine because they were getting hyped up too much, and it had started effecting their performances so now maybe they’ll play more better, because they’ll realise that they can’t win each time just by scoring the first goal. I look forward to seeing the performances of Messi Neymar and Ramos together. We all know that Ramos has been the enemy of Messi and Neymar for so long. Ramos has fouled Messi in a bad way many times. Now they will play in the same team at the same time, I am eagerly waiting to see their performance. PSG has not been defeated in the league so far and of course Clermont will be a commensurate opponent for PSG, because Clermont is in a pretty good condition and team performance, and currently they are in 3rd place in the standings with 8 points from 4 matches and only 4 differences points from PSG which is the leader of the standings, although on paper PSG is more superior but of course Clermont still has the opportunity to be able to get points in Parc des Princes stadium. We all want to win but its not as easy as it seems. Those who managed to earn huge amount probably lose huge as well before hitting a jackpot. In my case, there are times I envy these gamblers who wager small amount but then hit a nice multiplier and thinking I could do the same way too (sounds crazy). If they win for wagering small amount it doesnt mean we have the same destiny too, thats for real. Breaking news,Valteri Bottas to join Alfa Romeo next year and it is official.I guess now we will see George Russell at Mercedes which will make a really good team for next year,Hamilton will not have anymore a wing man but rather a true contender to fight with.Things are looking good now for F1 in the upcoming year.Let's hope it adds even more competition to the one we are already seeing during this year.I saw this just a few seconds before in the official F1 Instagram page.
It was already obvious that Russell deserved Bottas' seat with his performance at Williams. He did awesome things lately with one of the worst cars in the grid. And Bottas hasn't been able to compete with Hamilton also. And his action in the last race already proved that he wanted to leave Mercedes. I wonder whether they give the same car to Hamilton and Bottas both. Because Bottas is not a really bad driver. Maybe the car is a hindrance for him to get ahead of Hamilton. We will see it in the next season when Russell joins the team. Bottas is a good and solid midfield driver, in my opinion no more and no less, it will not be enough to become world champion like his compatriots Kimi and Hakkinen. But the action with the fastest lap in the Netherlands I found funny, and I liked Bottas even if he went off the gas in the last sector and almost lost Hamilton the point for the fastest lap. Hope Perez is back in front in the next races and can help Verstappen a bit against Mercedes, tactically Verstappen's race was flawless. I hope for more from Russell in any case and Hamilton will have a hard time the next 2 years, possibly the retirement of Hamilton will come. I personally feel that Bottas is underrated and deserves more praise for his driving skills, and maybe he’s not the champion like you said but in his defence he was always asked to play a backup to Hamilton, hence let’s hope that next season he’s more competitive. Also it’ll be interesting if Russell tries to get ahead of Hamilton, because we all know that Hamilton won’t play as a backup driver, and hence I expect some serious infighting between these two once the new season resumes. |

As often happen Gasly shines in qualy, he deserved the spot in RedBull over Perez imho.
Bottas is at least very consistent in being Merc’s no. 2 driver and with the points accumulation at every GP. Perez is just not reliable enough for Red Bull to get the constructor’s trophy. And he recently signed a new contract. Lol. But I guess there’s a performance clause in there so that Helmut Marko can kick him out. Here, for sure, the peculiarities of Helmut Marko's character manifest themselves in all their glory, when he does not want to admit his mistakes and will continue to hold on to his opinion. I think that the change of the technical regulations can completely shake up the balance of the championship teams and other teams will also have chances in the fight for the title, so Gasli may have chances in Alpha Tauri. I think that Red Bull does not want excessive competition between their drivers, giving some priority to Verstappen and giving Perez more time to settle into the team. My predictions:

In his debut match, I think that he can have a really big start. He is already accustomed to playing in the EPL and at Manchester United. Maybe the players are not the same now but Ronaldo played for Manchester United for six seasons. By the way, I wish Alex Ferguson was at Manchester United now. I strongly doubt they will rotate their squad in anticipation of the Champions League games. Leipzig against Bayern is way too important for both teams in the Bundesliga as none of them wants to fall behind early on. Also, you would want to have their best squad play against Leipzig exactly because you want them to collect game practice in order to be maximally prepared for Barcelona and Manchester City. It is so early in the season that every single one of the players needs practice to find their top level game.
I totally agree with you. Yeah, they have Champions League matches not many days after this league match. However, this is a tough match for each side. They wouldn't want to take a big risk by rotating their squad. So I think that both teams will start with their classic starting eleven and we will watch a very competitive match. And honestly, I see Bayern Munich one step ahead against Leipzig. Lewandowski is in a really great form. I wouldn't be surprised if he scores here too. I have a similar theory but my gut feeling says that Bayern will rest their stars, and bring them as substitutes so they get match practise and avoid getting injured. Lastly I personally feel that Bayern is strong enough to defeat Leipzig without Lewandowski’s presence on the field, hence I feel that they’ll name a weakened team (just my gut feeling). |

Giving time to be Messi's successor doesn't mean to hurry giving number 10 to Fati. I think it will be wise to keep number 10 this season, and just consider giving number 10 to Fati in the next season if he is really successful to replace Messi's role on the team this season. This source claims that Sevilla's 22-year-old centre-back Jules Kounde is really angry at Sevilla for not letting him go to join Chelsea in the latest transfer window. Sevilla demanded his release clause fee which must be around £68m. But it is also claimed that his release clause fee is now £77m. Maybe Chelse found it too much and decided to pull out of the deal.
It was unprofessional of the Sevilla director because they had reached an agreement with Chelsea for €55 million a few weeks earlier, and the deal was supposed to be finalised after Zouma's move to Wetham. Following the Zouma transaction, Chelsea returned to Sevilla only to learn that the first offer had been increased to €70 million, which was a significant increase for such a player. @BlackViruse it’s clear that Sevilla got greedy and they thought since Chelsea spent so much on Lukaku maybe they’ll pay good price for Kounde, however Chelsea didn’t fall for the trap. Furthermore I’m confident that they’ll get him in January or Summer Transfer window for a lower price, because no one will want to keep an unhappy player on their payroll. |
