2681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 14, 2021, 01:03:13 PM
Definitely a high risk low reward for Manny on this fight. He has nothing to prove on this fight and all his training is focus for Spence. I know that Pacquiao is good but defeating Ugas is not what Pacman looking for a final fight before his retirement. I hope that he already retire after this with a good boxing career record. His political position is already affected by his training so maybe he should focus now on one thing.

I do agree with you mate. The enthusiasm of many to see Manny fight has gone south due to that Spence injury. High risk for Manny but i don't think that Ugas have a chance to beat Manny. With due respect to Ugas, he is not on Manny's level even if the latter is this old.

Double black eye for Pacman as his supposed mega-fight before retiring is gone while he is abandoning his duty as a Senator in this hard time in the Philippines. I'm pretty sure that no hero's welcome when he goes home lol.

What do you think of the current situation of Cryptoblades guys?

Exit na ba to? Lugi na ang kada hampas at mukhang walang plano ang mga devs na ibalik sa dati yong mga rewards. Yong mga character ko nga na binibenta, hanggang ngayon wala pa ring bumibili.
2683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 14, 2021, 12:44:20 PM
I think Franco will dictate the fight here and could win by ko or ud.

Odds for Franco are very attractive and yes there is a chance that he can defend this title against Moloney but I'll still be backing the Australian boxer just like in the second fight. Moloney by decision @2.87 is not bad either so i just hope this time both boxers will be careful against headbutts.

Genesis Servanis (the boxer who give Oscar Valdez one hell of a fight) will be fighting in the undercard but i could not find an odds for that fight. Not popular, i guess that would be the reason why bookies not covering this one.
2684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 13, 2021, 11:15:06 PM
It's not going to be a funny experience for franco because moloney having filled the suit against Franco must have given his all in training, in full preparation of the rematch it's a match worth watching please keep us posted about the date of the match incase it eludes the brain due to other activities

According to the post above, the fight will be happening in August 15, 2021, which means we will see this fight tomorrow. OP just forget to update the date but if do some quick search, you can find some information here.

https://champinon.info/schedule/moloney-vs-franco-3/

Quote
The fight night will begin on Saturday, August 14 at 8:00 p.m ET / 5:00 p.m PT.

So this will be tomorrow in my timezone, it's the same date of our pride's fight which is Casimero against Guillermo Rigondeaux. It is sure an exciting fight as both fighters are aggressive and I think there is no clear favorite here upon watching the highlights, so taking the underdog is a great strategy of betting.

Yup, this fight will happen tomorrow in our time zone and this coincides with the fight of Casimero vs Rigo, so there's a lot of fight to bet this weekend huh  Smiley. This is sure an exciting match to those fans who followed these guys because if we can recall in the second fight the officials halted the fight for almost an hour reviewing if there was a headbutt or none but seem like they were blind because they ruled that there's a headbutt but on the review, i can't see anything.

I bet for Moloney that time because he was the underdog and yeah, this time it could go either way and betting for is a way to go for underdog lovers but for me i'll wait for some options in the market if there are attractive odds for Moloney like a decision win for him.
2685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 13, 2021, 09:50:28 PM
I hope Fajardo will not be affected a loss from the loss of his mother, and you are right, hopefully, he will use it as his inspiration to play harder and get back to his MVP shape the soonest possible time. With this delay, it's again very helping the teams with players that are suffering from injury, it was previously reported it will be back this month but now the status is postponed, so we can expect next month I think.

For sure Junemar is very affected by this event but one thing I like about him is that he is very professional on the court so he will play hard as if nothing has happened. I wonder how the passing of Junemar's mother could affect other players or PBA staff as they will now realize that covid is really here and no amount of money could save them if they have the virus.

The last time I know, PBA would be back on August 22 in Pampanga. Is there a new development on this?
2686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 13, 2021, 12:47:13 PM
@bisdak40 - we will finally see the fight happening again. hehehe
This is going to be one hell of a fight. I will update this thread if there is a final date of the fight.

It's good that they are ordering a trilogy at the soonest possible time. I will be watching this and still bet for Moloney. If not for that Referee, i could have won my bet as Moloney was the underdog on that second fight, i don't how the bookies will see this third fight maybe the will put Moloney as the favorite once again.

Time flies fast and we are about to witness the trilogy of these controversial fighters. Odds are out and the favorite now is Moloney, opposite on the second fight where Franco was the favorite to win on that fight.

I hope this time, no more controversies and may the best fighter be really declared the winner.

2687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 12, 2021, 09:42:17 PM
Pacquaio found a replacement so quickly. I wonder if they offer this to Mayweather?
If will still make them good money for the match, people may even cancel schedules to see them again in the ring. I dont't really see Ugas to be a good contender.
I’m wondering for the same thing and it looks like the whole thing are being planned according to Many’s will. Despite of the record with Ugas and being an Olympic medalist, I also believe that Manny is too much for him and seeing the odds now, Manny leads on it. Maybe those who bought their ticket will refund it out of disappointment.
^ Definitely right and how about in the bookie's odds?
There are a lot of changes with this fight and even bettings sites now are probably changing their odds right now. It could be Manny is too much but there is also a potential that his opponent will win this match. The thing that I have on my mind now is the preparation of Yordenis Ugas, it seems it needs days more to go than having trained for almost a month, what a great advantage of Manny Pacquiao. This is a very interesting fight and who will gonna win.

Yordenis Ugas is scheduled to fight in the undercard of the scrapped Pacquiao vs Spence match so he has been training for months now, I supposed.

Even though Ugas younger than Manny, the latter is not known for his power and speed so I think this could be easy work for Manny.

I just could not imagine the feelings of the fans who bought and anticipate action with Manny vs Spence because this fight could be one-sided and boring to watch and may end up just like a sparring session for Manny.

I would be betting for Manny by decision, though this could be a one-sided affair I doubt Manny could KO Ugas.
2688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 12, 2021, 01:45:04 PM
The thread title has not been changed yet, but I think it's still understandable as we are all updated on what is happening. It's Pacquiao vs Ugas, and this is not as fun as our expectation with the Pacman vs Spence. Anyway, I think I'll make a thread for Pacman vs Ugas so we also have our own discussion on the specific fight, and it will be easy for everyone to search this fight on google.

I'm also thinking of making a specific thread for Pacquiao vs Ugas fight but since you think of this idea first then please do so because i think OP is not so active reading on this thread.

The firepower expectation next week seems to taper a lot and it seems that most of the fans are so not so excited anymore of this matchup.

IMO, this is some sort of a tune-up fight for Pacman before retiring hehe. He can't fight next year because of the lection in the Philippines so i think this could be his farewell fight.
2689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 12, 2021, 11:54:02 AM
Maybe will skip betting for the fight. I like to put money on Casimero but not with that odds. I'm hoping for at least odds 1.7.

No way also to bet for Rigondeaux. Even if he wins, no regret not placing a bet for him.

Just have to watch the fight instead and just enjoy it. Lack of options to bet.

Looking at the odds on Stake, I think it's attractive because the odds are not the usual 1.10 that they give for the favorite.

Anyways, we can wait for other options like Casimero by Decision or KO as that would be higher than ML.

I'm optimistic that Casimero will overwhelm Rigo from the opening bell and KO him in the later rounds.
2690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 11, 2021, 08:39:15 AM
I do hope that Pacquiao will not fall for this so called 'replacement curse'.

He is already a veteran of this sports so for sure him and his team will prepare for any eventually against Ugas. Yordenis is one lucky guy though, not sure if there will be some adjustments are far as purse is concern, but it's going to be a honor to fight a legendary boxer of our generation. Spence really needs to cancel the fight and get the operation done of him ASAP.

Manny Pacquiao first became popular in the US when he beat Ledwaba on a spectacular display of skills as a substitute/replacement opponent for the latter. Manny was unknown at that time so Ledwada was short of time studying the southpaw Pacman and thus lost that fight which lead to the downfall of his career, so i think Manny is very well aware of this replacement curse.

For sure there are adjustments on the purse that Ugas will receive as he will be fighting the legend and also some sort of luring him to take the fight.

IMO, this would be an easy fight for Manny, easier than a fight with Mikey Garcia.
2691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 10, 2021, 09:13:02 PM
Guys, the Manny Pacquiao Public Information page has posted that the fight that Spence Jr. cannot fight next week. It's just a fresh news so maybe we'll see the articles publishing this huge news later on.
Page: https://www.facebook.com/MannyPacquiaoPublicInformation/posts/363153928603094
Dont know if this is a legit one or not but checking out Manny's Facebook profile then there are lots who had been asking about the cancellation of the said fight.
https://www.facebook.com/MannyPacquiao

If this is true then its just unfortunate for the fans on waiting up for some time for a postponed event.Dont know if those are just honest reason or just simply wouldnt like
for Spence to fight and make out some alibis?
It is legitimate and true, it's now on Yahoo sports. And just search it again on the web and  you'll see a lot of news outlet has posted it already. We've waited for so long on this match and with some issues on its way but I guess that unfortunate things and news do really come.
If we are disappointed, how much more with Manny Pacquaio's disappointment.
That’s a valid reason anyway, so incidents like this can really happen and Manny will understand this. There’s no need to disappoint since Manny will still fight another Boxer, and I think same schedule for this one I’m not sure though if Manny will fight another great boxer. Very unfortunate to those who already buy their tickets hoping for a great match, let’s pray Errol for a fast recovery.

What a turn of events. Some Pacman haters out there want to see Errol Spence retire Manny from boxing but in just a blink of an eye, everything is gone lol. Don't know if this reason is enough to cancel the matchup but nevertheless, we still see Manny fighting this August 21 since Ugas will replace Errol.

Errol Spence just deprives Manny of his greatness in this supposed fight. Win or lose, Manny will be praised for taking the Spence fight as the odds is against him. This is the biggest fight of Errol Spence so he should take care of himself all the time.

2692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 10, 2021, 12:22:41 PM

I've checked the seat slots and there are lots of vacant seats as I'm typing this. Or maybe the venue has a limited capacity? Sales aren't that impressive then there's a lack of marketing of the fight. The ticket sales are even considered as cheap with just playing around $50 - $200.

Out of curiosity, I've tried looking for the sales on Pay-Per-View but found no data about it.

4 days to go before the fight, not even a glimpse that sports betting sites, especially crypto betting sites, will list it. But don't lose hope, there are still a few days more.

This fight is not so popular to the Vegas gamblers, that is why when the idea of Donaire replacing Rigo as the opponent of Casimero, they (promoters) took it because that time they already notice that fans are not buying the Casimero vs Rigo fight but unfortunate Donaire backs out of that fight because of some personal issues.

Let us just wait for a few days because I'm sure bookies will cover this one, just like the previous fight where they put the odds for Casimero two days before fight night.
2693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 09, 2021, 07:43:21 PM
We have an update about PBA resumption, they'll resume this month at Pampanga.
~snip~
Betting continues, after the fight of Spenvs vs Pacquiao, we can continue the betting.

This is a good news for the fans.

I'm not being pessimistic but I do hope that the COVID situation in our country improves during that time so that their plan will realize.

Here in our place, the quarantine status was reverted to MECQ because of the rising cases but as far as I can see, it worsens because the authorities have not implemented the protocols for MECQ like suspending the public transport so there is a high chance that we will be going to ECQ after this week and that's what I'm hoping will not happen to Pampanga.
2694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 09, 2021, 11:42:25 AM
Yeah, but I would say that it was not a 100% Spence during the Garcia fight. Nevertheless even if not 100%, he beat a former champion, so that tells how good or superior Spence it. So now that the accident was no issue, for sure he is more motivated now to beat the legend. However, it will not be an easy task because Manny has advantage on experience and Spence will know now how good Manny is, even others say he is way past his prime already.

For me, that fight with Danny Garcia was some sort of shrugging the rust off him and people wanted to see how he would perform after that car crash. Though he was not a hundred percent on that fight IMO, that performance is good enough but coming to this fight with Manny, he should improve and not rely solely on his youth and size.

The fight is getting closer but not much movement of the odds yet.
2695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 08, 2021, 12:52:39 PM
I think this fight is already cancelled.

And I agree with Reynoso, it's better for Canelo to unify all the belts in 168, not sure who is the last man to do it, but it will be the best interest for Canelo. If he fights Caleb Plant and then his belt, then he can go as high as light heavy weight again. But not sure if there will be money on that division because Bivol or Beterviev is not a US household name. Maybe he can defend his belt against David Benavidez who will be fighting against Uzcategui on Aug 28.

Lol, they have second thoughts on fighting Bivol because of weight issue. Canelo is hesitant to move up in weight as LHW is not his comfort zone.

Fighting Plant would fulfill their goal of unifying his current division but as per Plant statement, he is not willing to be the guy to make Canelo the undisputed champion of the Super Middleweight division  Grin.

Anyways, this speculated fight may not happen this September 18 because of different issues so i will be locking this one and reopen if the negotiations start once again.
2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 08, 2021, 09:51:57 AM
There's no decision for the final venue yet but more importantly, IATF allowed them to resumed on GCQ and MGCQ areas.

The ECQ will only last until the 20th. I don't see why PBA should give another effort to continue on the province. It's just over a week more then PBA will again resume at their usual arena. No hassle, no extra cost, no need to comply again with new protocols on the province and so. If they will start to pack up and fix everything, it might take almost a week or 3-4 days at least a minimum. Only a few days more and ECQ will be lifted here.
I've heard that it's going to be in Batangas for which the news before that someone posted a banner that they're welcoming PBA. But that was long time ago.
Yeah, there's no announcement yet. I understand that they have to cope up with such schedule and such delays might affect the entire schedule of the league and that's probably why they're pushing to find a venue even if this ECQ is just two weeks.

I have read in the news that the venue now that they seriously consider is Pampanga is it is MGCQ there.

wherever they will holding the bubble, I'm just glad that they are considering the resumption of PBA. Too much bad news these days and news like this will at least give some relief to people who are just staying at home since it's ECQ in some parts of the country.

Quote
PBA in Pampanga
Now, the PBA hierarchy is considering other provinces to host its game, including Pampanga, which hosted the Philippine Cup last year under a full bubble setup.

Pampanga is currently under MGCQ.
2697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Galal Yafai (Fight for Gold Medal) on: August 07, 2021, 10:46:18 PM

paalam having the silver medal still is a great achievement though. boxing is not easy so congrats to paalam. if he'd pursue a boxing career to pro, it be interesting to watch his career.

Lost my bet on him but it's okay since I've already that it is one tough fight for him for the gold medal. Even if it is Silver, still a big achievement for Paalam.

He is 23 years old now, going pro I think it's a little bit for him to get the ranking in pro boxing so I think he will stick to the amateur league where he got his fortune. In the amateur, he will get a monthly salary from the government while if he decided to be a pro boxer, your future is dependent on your manager and promoter, but we will wait and see what his decision will be.
2698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Galal Yafai (Fight for Gold Medal) on: August 07, 2021, 12:00:20 AM
What I am trying to say is that don't use Paalam's fight with Shakhobidin Zoirov to decide the outcome of his fight with Galai Yafai.

Yup, it's unwise if you base your bet for Paalam on his previous fight with Zoirov because that fight was halted due to cuts.

As I've said in my above post, I'm betting for Carlo Paalam because of his talent not because he is my compatriot  Smiley.

Win or lose, Paalam will go home a millionaire, another "from rags to riches" story that usually happens to most of the Filipino boxers including Manny Pacquiao.
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Galal Yafai (Fight for Gold Medal) on: August 06, 2021, 10:14:34 PM
Wow, this is an interesting platform they are supported the Olympic games feel sad I didn't see this immediately just trying to bet one of our representatives in my country which is Carlo Paalam and he owns a medal even though it's not a gold medal still it's a support and entertainment to fellow Filipino fighting in the Olympics. Yafai so too much aggressive on their match still deserve to win congrats to all winners of the Olympics and the bettors.

It's not Silver either lol. The fight will be held this afternoon, 2 PM Philippine time to be exact. Have not seen the whole fight of Yafai but IMO, this is very winnable by Carlo Paalam because this guy has talent. He is quick and not easy to hit which is a very important factor in the Olympic style of boxing.

Have already place my bet here not because Carlo is my compatriot but the possibility of winning is too high because of his talent.
2700  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 06, 2021, 09:03:58 AM

ctto

Date: November 6, 2021
Venue: TBA

As the planned unification fight with Caleb Plant fails to materialize, Eddie Hearns wants Canelo to fight Bivol this 18th of September for the latter's Light Heavyweight title. There are rumors that this could be on a catchweight between 168 and 175 lbs. Both fighters will be moving on their weights for the fight so I think Canelo would be having trouble on this fight, what do you think guys?
