2681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is telling people you're into stocks "cool" but crypto is a big secret? on: October 21, 2021, 04:49:47 AM
Maybe due to some governments' strictness towards cryptocurrencies, stocks and forex are mostly recognized as legitimate forms of investment. On the contrary, crypto is not recognized and a lot of scam projects from the crypto market are created. This really hurts the reputation of bitcoin and the market. Besides, I don't think we should brag when it comes to crypto, crypto is highly decentralized and anonymous so I think it should be kept secret.
2682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you quit Bitcoin if a shitcoin like Ethereum surpassed it? on: October 20, 2021, 02:16:00 PM
ETH isn't shitcoin, it's second only to bitcoin. If you say it is shitcoin there will never be a chance to surpass bitcoin. How can a shitcoin survive and replace the king? In the past 12 years, many shitcoins have been created and claimed to replace bitcoin but we have yet to see a single shitcoin that does it instead bitcoin is being accepted in many countries and becoming legal tender. This is something that even ETH has not been able to achieve, so there is no reason that shitcoin will overtake bitcoin in the future.
2683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with crypto??? on: October 20, 2021, 01:56:19 PM
I usually use the TRON USDT network to transfer money to my friends or buy something from them, sometimes I have to convert USDT to DOGE because I have a client and he only accepts DOGE. I only use crypto payments for people I know, I still haven't had a chance to pay for crypto in shops and restaurants in my hometown because crypto is not yet popular here.
2684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin > Gold on: October 20, 2021, 04:57:03 AM
I think bitcoin and gold can both be used as assets for the future, for those of you who like bitcoin investment, please invest in bitcoin but there are still many people who still believe in investing in gold to be used as a future investment. so it all depends on our beliefs whether we want to choose gold or bitcoin obviously both have a high selling price.
Both are good don't compare them, Gold is a fairly safe investment because the price of gold is less volatile and has been recognized by the world for thousands of years. bitcoin is a digital asset, high volatility. Investing in bitcoin is clearly a better return than gold, but sometimes it also costs us money if invested in the wrong way. So, depending on the needs make the right choice for each person.
2685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend your Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2021, 04:31:24 AM
Yes! I will sell some if I need cash to use for my business, the rest I will keep and when the market drops if possible I always try to hoard more bitcoins for myself. Investing in bitcoin is also a job that helps us cover our daily lives so I'll never hold them forever. I won't starve to keep bitcoins, I will sell when it is profitable and buy back if it drops.
2686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Cryptocurrency be a Global Currency in the Future? on: October 19, 2021, 09:52:23 PM
With the development of crypto today, it will certainly become a global payment method in the future with the conveniences and conveniences it brings be it bitcoin or any altcoin or CBDCs created by the government. It will not be able to completely replace fiat but it will grow strongly in the following years.
2687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin believes Bitcoin has value on: October 16, 2021, 05:18:59 AM
Russia is adopting a different attitude towards cryptos than China. President Putin has come public saying "Bitcoin has value but it cannot be used in the Oil trade"

I guess Putin didn't still fully grasp the real potential of cryptos as he says
Quote
“Cryptocurrency is not supported by anything as of yet. It may exist as a means of payment, but I think it’s too early to say about the oil trade in cryptocurrency.”
But even so, it shows that Russia seems to be adopting a friendly position facing cryptocurrency and it may be having some impact on the industry. Given that China adopted a harsh position towards cryptos, is it possible that miners are relocating from China to Russia? Is it possible for Russia to step up to occupy the former place China had in Bitcoin? I guess this is what is happening, otherwise, Putin wouldn't come public with such a neutral position.

Putin's acknowledgement is a great accomplishment for bitcoin indeed. He says that it cannot be used for trading oil because the current FIAT monetary system is still intact. When it all goes down, bitcoin will be the king and Putin will have to re-think his options. As far as I know they still use USD for trading oil and USD's days are numbered.
Partly because the US government has said it will not ban bitcoin. Certainly, Putin does not want to be left behind in the race. Second, Bitcoin can help Russia avoid dependence on the US dollar. In the same statement, Putin stressed that if the US continues to impose sanctions on Russia, It is likely that Russia will abandon oil trading in USD. Currently they still trade oil in USD but apparently, he is implying that bitcoin could be used in the future to replace USD.
2688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela Airport accepting Bitcoin on: October 16, 2021, 04:03:38 AM
Venezuela has the highest inflation rate in the world and US sanctions have lasted for years. The Venezuelan economy is really dying, bitcoin is their best option at the moment. As well as how Venezuelans choose bitcoin as a way of making money to survive when their bolívar depreciates. I don't remember exactly where I read on this forum, there have been a lot of Venezuelan users on the forum confirming that since using bitcoin their life is better than ever.
2689  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments capitulate and finally recognize Bitcoin as a legal tender? on: October 14, 2021, 10:55:08 PM
I believe governments have recently considered accepting BTC as a payment coin and as a means to be used as a legal tender. El Salvador I watched the developments in this country about The acceptance of BTC as payment coin and monthly salary for people in their country is gradually being accepted. But it seems that there are still some issues that have not been fully resolved so that some countries on their central bank side are still apprehensive about BTC.
2690  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitfarms start construction of mega Bitcoin mining farm in Argentina on: October 14, 2021, 10:48:40 PM
one of the most well known mining company "Bitfarms" is set to establish a mining station in Argentina with the project target to employ about 55,000 miners by the end of 2022, this is a great opportunity placed on for the people in terms of employment and poverty elevation, Cryptocurrency is truly giving back to the community indeed with diverse opportunities.

one of the focus challenges to be encountered through this process is the energy source required (power supply) and a desirable location for the site to be stationed. this project target on Bitfarms focal view in a bid to seeking a new location to site another of it mega mining company at, Bitfarms start construction of mega Bitcoin mining farm in Argentina

in furtherance to this, are there other suitable locations that could be of greater advantage of power supply with infrastructural conditions favourable for accommodation within Argentina while contrary opinions on this development is welcome.
This is news that will greatly affect us and BTC, before China banned all of their people from using BTC and stopped mining BTC we were affected a lot by this country, but until Now there have appeared a lot of countries that want to mine BTC by building BTC mining factories, this becomes worrying. Because more and more mining countries like Argentina will cause BTC value to drop significantly because of too many miners instead of more large amount investors in BTC.
2691  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading signal work or not? on: October 14, 2021, 09:03:43 PM
My opinion for you is that you have to learn by yourself first and don't even believe on these groups because I don't even think that this thing can give you a profit, probably most of them are just for wasting people's money, most of the time happens to me and I had lost my most of the profit through these scammers.
Most is a waste of our time and money, but we have the right not to trust them 100%. Trading signals that can help you learn the basics and identify currency pairs that are trending in the market then combine its own in-depth analysis to make the most optimal decision. It's better to join their free group first and see what their success rate is.
2692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt coin is best investment for long term? on: October 13, 2021, 11:17:38 PM
Do you want to invest long-term?, besides ETH, I recommend you to choose BNB instead of ADA and SOL. BNB has a lot of potentials and still holds great promise for the future. IMO, the price of BNB is still low compared to the utility it is bringing to the market. Most recently, Binance announced it will spend one billion dollars to promote the growth and expansion of the BSC ecosystem that competes with the recently emerging ecosystems.
2693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto will rival or replace fiat in 10 years? on: October 13, 2021, 03:49:32 AM
If crypto is legal and accepted then I think it will give us many options besides fiat, cannot completely replace fiat. It definitely won't happen. It happens when governments launch their own cryptocurrencies and control them.
2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have any real value? on: October 12, 2021, 04:33:13 PM
Bitcoin is not backed by anything like gold or fiat. 12 years of existence and development and currently each bitcoin is worth about 56k $ (at the time of writing this review). I think you can feel bitcoin is really valuable or not?. The value of gold or fiat depends on human supply and demand and so does bitcoin. Bitcoin demand is increasing every day, someday Bitcoin does not need support from gold and fiat, bitcoin will soon become the best alternative to gold and fiat
2695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can China Ban on Bitcoin have any negative effect on Bitcoin in future? on: October 12, 2021, 03:27:19 PM
...but I see them going ahead to try to influence other big countries to follow their foot steps.
I ain't sure China is going in that direction or if she is, she hasn't succeeded in that aspect because we haven't seen the supposed big countries banning Bitcoin. What we see most of them do is ask for regulations and documentations from exchanges domiciled in those countries. Talking about the effect of China's negative attitude towards Bitcoin; well, I don't think we have seen much effect in that direction. Bitcoin is still waxing strong and soaring to new heights.

If this were an American ban, perhaps things would be different. China started banning crypto in 2013, this year they completely banned bitcoin in their country. And then Mr. Gensler, states that the SEC has no plans to ban crypto, That is an affirmation China has failed to entice other countries to ban bitcoin. Bitcoin has grown without China and now it is being supported by many countries. China's ban has long had no effect on bitcoin.
2696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not... on: October 12, 2021, 02:52:24 PM
It is too early to judge whether that is important to a country. It is true that crypto is popular and growing, but if a country accepts and uses cryptocurrencies not exactly a developed country and vice versa, a country that bans bitcoin can also be a power like China. Clearly, it is not really essential to determine the development of the country.
2697  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 07, 2021, 04:39:54 PM
Indeed, the price of Bitcoin rose again in early October. The re-greening of bitcoin prices is also due to seasonal factors. Some analysts say October is usually a bullish month for bitcoin and altcoin prices. I believe the price of bitcoin will continue to strengthen and expect the upward trend to continue until the end of this year.
The first week of October has been great for btc, btc is trading at 54k$ up more than 20% from the end of September. But do not rest in victory, the uptrend is still there but the market is very unpredictable so be careful with any next move of btc. I have not seen any positive increase for alts, btc increases alts does not increase, btc decreases alts plummets.
2698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: October 07, 2021, 04:06:41 PM
Government is the biggest threat to bitcoin, if all countries unite to get rid of bitcoin this will be the end of bitcoin. But I think that can't happen anymore, bitcoin is gradually being accepted in many places and legal tender in some countries. One China can't stand in the way of bitcoin, no matter how many threats but bitcoin is still growing and increasing day by day, let's firmly believe in bitcoin.
2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you miss Bitcoin? on: October 07, 2021, 03:18:27 PM
I got a lot of opportunities but couldn’t take the  advantage. Some of the reasons were lack of confidence in it.
A lot of people have missed bitcoin in the past including me, when I first heard about bitcoin I really didn't care much. After much deliberation and trying to convince myself to sit down and start learning about bitcoin, I missed a while.
The second thought was that now the current price is the maximum it will not increase so much anymore. At the Last I thought that I would collect bitcoin again when the price dropped a bit. At that moment the price of bitcoin was approximate $3000. Till today I didn’t collect 1 bitcoin. I miss a a lot "Bitcoin".
IMO, I don't think bitcoin will stop here with me bitcoin will reach 500k even a million dollars in future. I can't tell you exactly when bitcoin will hit but I believe bitcoin. No regrets, opportunities still abound for us as long as we act from now on.
2700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if stop believing about bitcoin ? on: October 06, 2021, 03:27:16 PM
Bitcoin has no physical presence. What if we just stop believing in bitcoin. I mean every country has the equivalent of gold to their fiat. Bitcoin has no gold or physical value. Can this ever happen?
No physical presence is a good thing so it won't be controlled, bitcoin cannot be touched like fiat or gold, but its value to those who own it is priceless. The value of Bitcoin is already higher than gold, so what are your doubts?
trust in bitcoin is growing rapidly at times like this, even bitcoin has become a currency in one of these countries, this is a sign that in the future bitcoin will be more trusted in other countries, so that bitcoin trust in the future will increase and even beat fiat in my opinion.
Bitcoin is being trusted more than ever, currency manipulation by major powers, central banks is causing people to lose faith in fiat, and bitcoin is the savior we've been looking for for so long.
