2681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no press/PR re: the London Conference? on: September 16, 2012, 07:16:39 PM
We need someone recording every talk and quickly uploading it on youtube as it end.
2682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no press/PR re: the London Conference? on: September 16, 2012, 05:21:23 PM
It's the third major conference and again, no coverage. I understand that partecipating is more funny than reporting everything, tweeting everything and recording everything but that would be a very useful thing. It seems this conference doesn't even exist... what is happening? What is being said? Dunno
2683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Paypal -> BTC method? on: September 15, 2012, 10:15:43 PM
There is a reason why no one sell bitcoins via paypal  Wink And those who do, later always understand. But then it's too late  Cheesy
2684  Economy / Speculation / Re: X-post: OGRR.COM just increased FIVEFOLD his userbase on: September 15, 2012, 09:50:12 PM
They have lot of time for gaming but often can't buy things

Now they can.
2685  Economy / Speculation / Re: X-post: OGRR.COM just increased FIVEFOLD his userbase on: September 15, 2012, 07:59:19 PM
Nice news! Gaming and bitcoin is perfect. Kids can't use credit cards but they can sell gold for bitcoin
2686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to determine real value of 1 bitcoin? on: September 15, 2012, 01:27:05 PM
Compare it with gold. Or with things you can buy. Food. Computer Hardware, and so on.
2687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a way to buy Bitcoins with Paypal? on: September 15, 2012, 12:23:58 PM

Let's hope this time we finally will have decent coverage and streams
2691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: hello! new to this site on: September 14, 2012, 03:28:37 PM
Putting your money on someone else wallet is a fail idea. Bitcoin let you manage YOUR coins, why do you give them to someone else? Because you are used to keep your money in a "bank"?

ASIC centralizes mining further by reducing the number of people who want to play.
Nice trolling

Too bad that being able to buy a Jalapeno for 150$ make your point totally fail. It's easier to buy an ASIC for 150$, plug it via USB and tell it mine or having to buy GPUs, mess with driver and overclocks and having a computer running them?

ercolinux is right

It's still unclear if it is "buyer are forced to use electronic money" or "seller must accept eletronic money" for transactions over 50€

and it's still unclear if this will pass at all or not.
2696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is my Bitcoin mining? on: September 14, 2012, 12:10:50 PM
Please note, mining is not a get rich quick scheme.

And please, go read the bitcoin wiki and some guides before you attempt other things.

And cpu mining is epic useless.

How to accept Bitcoin payments:

Purchase an iPad

Purchase an iPad stand (which has a swivel base)
What about i spend 199$ and i get a NEXUS 7 instead of the "ipad"?

50 euros

Since July, the government has banned cash transactions over 1,000 euros.

Typo? 500 euros?
It's not a typo, it's right, 50€

but i'm still unsure if that will pass. There are a lot of things that have been proposed and successfully happily refused. I strongly doubt that will pass.
2699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell me how to buy BTC for Paypal on: September 13, 2012, 09:30:47 PM
