2681  Other / Meta / Re: Effect Of Plagiarism In Forum. on: March 16, 2021, 01:18:47 AM
Plagiarism need to have a set of criteria to define it. It depends on the laws in your nation, in the forum you are using, in the university you are studying. It is different so simply spend time to read rules.

[TIPS] to avoid plagiarism

In this forum, the admin does not bind with strict criteria on what is plagiarism and members can have a second chance after the ban from plagiarism with some requirement of their contributions and net effects.

If you ignore the rules, copy and paste to steal works of others and get money, when you get a permanent ban, you can not make any ban appeal as you will only be able to show that your past contributions are copy and paste, opinion steal and zero net effect.

In general, I'm all for being lenient. There are users who have been temp banned many times but still haven't been permabanned because their contributions outweigh their misbehavior. I actively disbelieve in the idea of a "rule of law" where hard rules exist and are strictly applied across the board as if we're all robots. Every case should be considered individually in the context of the forum's mission.

Plagiarism is what gets people permabanned, not just copying. Plagiarism is copying with the intent of passing the work off as your own. In essentially all cases, plagiarism deserves a permaban because it usually proves definitively that the person is here for the wrong reasons: to fill up space in order to get paid, not to actually discuss or contribute. If someone was able to convince us that they were plagiarizing just to eg. impress people rather than to fill up space, then a lesser ban of a few months might instead be warranted. But this has never happened AFAICR. (Arguments based on plausible deniability aren't going to work; we don't need to prove that you had the motive we see in your actions.)

If you treat posting as a job, a chore, then you must live in fear, since the forum is not made for you. In this case, you need to blend in as someone who actually cares, but plagiarism will immediately out you, and producing a mountain of useless posts will also eventually be noticed, if more slowly. If you do actually care, then this will be obvious in your posts (and probably your merit score), and you will have nothing to fear from moderators; even allegations of plagiarism will be doubted when seen in the context of your other posts.

Quote
in extreme cases could be copyright theft?

Plagiarism is almost always a copyright violation which could conceivably get the poster in a lot of trouble, but it's not a bigger legal issue for the forum than anything else. (Using the forum to violate copyright is never allowed, though.)

Quote
when copying and pasting from the net can it lower google rankings? and internal copy and past could do the same thing?

That's not a particular concern of mine.

even memes may soon constitute copyright theft

2682  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: March 15, 2021, 07:03:59 AM
Plus one for this. I agree. I am also confused sometimes with mBTC. That is not the usual unit used outside gambling platforms. Mostly, it is being used in gambling but since a lot are more exposed to just pure BTC or Satoshis as units then it should just be provided as an option. That's to avoid confusion that might amount to a different bet unintentionally.
I choose BTC as a unit in my wallet and honestly I have to pay a little second to think of mBTC when I checked my account. Although I know that the mBTC unit is used by gambling sites but it won't harm if the Futuur team consider to give users 2 options. Who like BTC unit, choose it and who don't like it, let's choose mBTC unit. It can be integrated as optional preferences for users.

Quote
I think the reason why mBTC is being commonly used among betting platforms is that Bitcoin's price is now very high. It is not expected that gamblers will be betting whole BTC or even 0.5 BTC or lower. It is expected that majority of the gamblers will be betting with mBTC amounts
It is what gamblers prefer. They would prefer to use small altcoins as Dogecoin to bet with hundred or thousand of Dogecoin rather than choose 1 mBTC to bet. Big quantity looks more attractive than small quantity no matter how much does it cost.

Your comment make sense for the future, so what unit gambler will prefer when 1 BTC has a value of $1,000,000.

I have a wallet and I'd like to put some BTCs (or other crypto-currency) in it. My biggest concern is the fees and when/where they apply.
If I go to an ATM and I feed it with physical money to get my crypto-currency, do I have to pay some fees?
Would I use my crypto-currency to buy something online (same currency), are there any fees being applied?

When you buy or sell cryptocurrency, you will have to pay your trading fee for exchanges. Depends on your tier of your account and how you trade, the exchange fee will be applied as taker or maker fee.

If you want to withdraw your cryptocurrency from exchanges to your own wallet, you will have to pay withdrawal fee. Withdrawal fee is used by exchange to pay for transaction fee on the cryptocurrency network, and the fee for consolidate small inputs and maintenance fee for their wallets, services, security, etc.

Exchanges simply call it as withdrawal fee. On some exchanges, you will be charged deposit fee. A fixed amount will be deducted to your deposit amount and exchange will use it for their input consolidation and wallet maintenance.

You can get taker, maker, withdrawal fees with two websites

Arsenal 2 - 1 tottenham

I already imagined that Arsenal would win this game, I said in the past weeks that Mourinho needs to change a lot of things at Tottenham, he has to change if he wants to have better results
Before and after the amazing rabona goal from Lamela, Tottenham were very vulnerable to attacks from Arsenal. It is not a good first half for Spurs defense system and I believe Mourinho did not feel well about his defensive players. Even Lamela suddenly scored that goal, Spurs gave me a feeling that they can be broken anytime. Finally, it happened with two goals from Arsenal.

It is also a crazy match with many shots that hit goal pillars. The off-line goal from Kane shows he is a great striker.

it's sad for Sheffield United
Leicester City is the most stable clubs in this season. Many clubs have up and down times and some of them have mini crises like Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, Leicester City play and grab points very stably.

Whales are power to manipulate the market and it worth to read the article Art of Deception from Wolong. Crypto market is a good one to verify this game. Win or lose in the game rely on how you understand the game and be able to control your decisions.

Quote
“Majority believes that markets move randomly and reflect the collective wisdom of investors, the truth is quite the opposite. The invisible hand is a myth. Market prices has always been manipulated by the government’s visible hands through influencing laws and regulation. Insiders control markets and manipulate them up or down for profit. Manipulation is everywhere, undeniable and unavoidable. It happens on a very large scale throughout every single financial markets out there, stock, bonds, commodities, currencies and so forth.

There are other types of manipulation, such as social and news manipulation, hence I called it: The Game of Deception.
2687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a gift cards on: March 11, 2021, 06:41:23 AM
Bitcoin itself can be used as a gift. You don't have to buy any gift card to give anyone a gift in bitcoin.

Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts
Dead man's switch. Website for more details about that service. It has Free and Premium accounts. 2 recipients max for Free accounts and 100 for Premium accounts. With locked gift bitcoin, I think the Free account is enough as gift sender will plan to do it with one or two people.
2688  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Online Wallet Recovery Services on: March 10, 2021, 04:31:33 PM
I can not trust a recovery service, most will ask for seed phrase, assuming I give a recovery service my seed phrase and was able to recover back the wallet but tells me he was unable to, that means my bitcoin all lost, who will know if he did or he did not recover back the wallet? No one will be able to. It will be good to have all possible means to protect our seed phrase which is just the only task, if lost, it can lead to permanent loss of our bitcoin.
Do you know what you are talking about?

Do you need to use any wallet recovery service if you have seeds or private key of your bitcoin wallet?
What are private keys or mnemonic seeds used for?
2689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Basic Of Escrow System; Q&A by Satoshi on: March 10, 2021, 11:34:36 AM
The original source is Escrow, not the article in that institute. It mentions the original topic as External link.

Escrow can not protect you. The level of protection depends on the quality of Escrow service. If you use a scam Escrow service, it will steal your bitcoin, not your trade partner.
2690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm Glad With This Blockchain Technology on: March 10, 2021, 08:05:41 AM
It will always deliver despite low fee paid once reflected in blockchain.

Miners must process it at there own time
The default time nodes will drop unconfirmed transactions to their own mempool is 14 days but each node owner can customize the time. Miners don't must to mine blocks and confirm your transactions. Node can add your transaction to their mempool or drop it and miners in that node can confirm your transaction or skip it.

Quote
So, I think the miners left my request to process higher fees transaction and they kept processing such coins that were coming in high fees...lol. Who doesn't want additional pay Huh
Miners don't require anything. They and their mining rigs simply solve math and mine blocks. People who broadcast their bitcoin transactions set up fees for miners. They are responsible for their high transaction fees, not the miners.

Quote
But I was seeing my transaction on blockchain. Therefore, relax if you see your transaction on blockchain despite the delay.
You only can relax if you are sender and are sending your bitcoin from one wallet to another wallet of yours. If you are trading with another person, you can not relax if you already go first and make your payment for the trade partner.

Please read the sticky in Meta: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ and the sticky in Beginners & Help: Newbies - Read before posting and the welcome message

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

2. No off-topic posts.

3. No trolling.

Examples:

1. Such posts as "SELL SELL SELL", "I agree", "+1", "Support", "Watching", "Interesting", "LOL", "SCAM", "LEGIT", "FAKE", other one word posts, posts consisting mostly of swearing, quote pyramids, useless introduction threads, threads about a topic already recently discussed in several other threads.

Threads and post that contain only one word/sentence such as "hello & welcome to the forum" will be removed without warning as it causes unnecessary clutter.

When trying to write quality posts, a lot of people act as though they're writing a book report for school: putting facts that we already know into their own words. Nobody wants to read that, and you will not get merit for it. Moreover, the length of your post and the quality of your English are only minor factors. In trying to write a quality post worthy of merit, you should offer new ideas, personal experiences, or perspectives that other forum users will actually find new and interesting.

- Use non-custodial wallets: https://notyourkeys.org/
- Verify bitcoin wallets because many fake bitcoin wallets are existing to steal your bitcoin.
- Back up your wallet file and private key or mnemonic seeds.
- Keep your backups safe and secret.
- Do not disclose to the others that you have bitcoin.
- Do not store your backup online (in third party services, in email, chats, ...)

You did not write about wallet verification
- Bitcoin Core verification
- Electrum verification
2694  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2 cheaters. Will they get payments on 17/03/2021? on: March 10, 2021, 04:09:58 AM
To monitor and manage all the participants for their campaign. So in the end, the manager will review everything before releasing the payment. Anyway, it doesn't mean managers can't make mistakes since they are human, so you may help them by sending a PM if you found something wrong about participants or the campaign.
If manager does not have a tracking tool 24/7, he will miss it.

Obviously they won't get payment from the previous campaign they were enrolled in.
The rule says so.

Am I right?
So, yeah I would say they are not following the campaign rules. It's up to campaign manager what they should do.
You are right.

I don't see any cheating. it seems like another case of signature jumping. I have seen a lot of members do this(if you check signature campaign threads you'll see that this isn't new and has been happening for a while now) and as far as I know, the campaign managers will either not pay them for the week for not wearing the signature or will just remove them on the spreadsheet when they noticed the participant isn't wearing the signature.
I think they cheat posts when they made 40 or 50 posts and that campaign will pay them if they write 70 posts. It is not fair for company DeFireX if they get payment when they did not wear signature, avatar in all campaign time or change it in 2 days.

I locked the topic. If the manager applies rules in that campaign, they will not receive any payment. It is up to the manager and campaign rule.

Thank you all of you.

Distribution of Bitcoin mining hashrate as of April 2020, by country

Do you know the increase of bitcoin mining activities in Kazhakstan? The Mining City is based in Kazhakstan and more new mining pools will appear and contribute aggregated hashrates to reduce the dominance of Chinese based mining pools.

Mining City is at the 24th rank with 0.13% of total hashrate. I don't shill that pool and I only mention about it because the chart from Statistica.com shows 6.17% of total hashrate is from that nation.

Blockchain.com gives their users warning that if they lost seed, password, wallet ID, they will not be able to recover their wallets.

Trustpilot is a website with many fake trust feedback. I don't believe in the trust feedback on trustpilot.

walletrecoveryservices.com can help to brute force blockchain wallet and recover it. Use it with risks but that service has good reputation.

You can import your seeds from blockchain.com wallet to Electrum. Choose BIP39 when you import it. After you finish the import, you can have full control of your bitcoin wallet with Electrum software. You will no longer rely on Blockchain.com and their supports.

Check it out >>> Best Bitcoin trading bots to use in 2021
[BIG LIST] Crypto Trading Bots collects 45 trading bots. It is too many bots to choose from so the short list of BitCasino.io can help newbies to ease their decision-making.

Bots in real use cases are not for newbies. If traders do not have enough knowledge about indicators to use for their bots. If they don't have enough time in the market. If they don't have enough losses on the market from their bad trades. And more lacks of manual practices, I don't think bots can help them to end with sweet ending.

Bots are for senior traders.
