If this pool has handled payouts like this since the beginning, that's just plain old sloppy coding. Of course, the opposite of what's happening now should have happened during the last difficulty change. Can anyone confirm if their pending payouts actually went up by 6.14% on 1/27?
How you can code a pool and not account for changes in share values due to network difficulty adjustments is rank amateurism.
Confirmed... No payouts from 1/22 to 1/29, then payment on 1/29 at the 6.05724720410961E-010 rate. Too bad I didn't have as many miners pointed to BAN at that time (I only had one miner pointed here part time). This time though I'm looking at a much bigger loss. Hahaha... oh that's just pathetic. I'm not laughing at you, so please don't take my laughter that way. I'm laughing because of the exceptionally poorly implemented payout logic code that doesn't bother to handle network difficulty adjustments. Looks like somebody forgot to QA their code...

[BTC +1000%] Try NiceHash.com pool, INSANE Bitcoin up to +1000% profits atm!!!
yea right BS!
I would like to know how to achieve that if it's legit which I doubt it sounds like a big fat ponzi scheme!
It happened for a week back in December due to GAW launching the PoW phase of their coin. People were paying outrageous prices to get gear to mine that coin which was supposed to have a $20 value floor. That didn't hold for more than 30 minutes when the official GAW exchange opened up. Anyway, I don't intend to drag this thread into the myriad others already discussing GAW and their coin, but I wanted to point out how it is that folks with gear on nice/westhash were indeed making 1000% during that timeframe .

too bad slushy pool takes so long to confirm I haven't mined on Slush's pool since I first started mining. I tried a bunch of different pools before I settled on p2pool. I mined on GHash, Eligius, BTCGuild, Slush... and always found myself back on p2pool. Mostly it's because I like having control of things and don't like having to pay somebody else for the privilege of pointing my gear to their setup

no no... i mean sspreding out my miners out to pps & P2pool = / i would never open a other pool it's P2Pool or Bust for the Chicago Team Oh, I see. The only PPS pools I know either charge a high fee (like Discus Fish at 4%) or have struggled to keep up with BTC payouts (like BAN). Virtually every pool operator has gone to some other payout method. Believe me, PPS is absolutely great for the miner since the miner takes on no risk... which is why most every entity out there running PPS charges so much for it. Of course if you're Discus Fish and have over 70PH/s, you are making a pretty nice little bit of coin at 4% .

Don't bother trying to setup/run a PPS pool for BTC - or pretty much any other coin for that matter. Here's a little food for thought... if this same situation (a 500% block) happened on your PPS pool, you would have to have 100BTC in reserve to be able to pay your miners.

It's alive... it's just taking longer than expected to block... sure picked a very bad time to have a 500% block...
On the upside, if we found a block now I'd get 1.5BTC. On the downside, I spent quite a few more coins than that on rentals this past weekend, so I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Back up and running, sorry for any inconvenience.
Looks like it died just as we headed for the plane, go figure....
Not 100% sure what happened, but will examine the logs when back in the office.
Cheers!
Lol... Guess we know how to track your vacations now... Last time you went someplace the site had issues, too

I must say, But I do love P2pool, but that is hoop proof.. NOT!!!! You can see when users bail out and when there back in when there ready to block. I wish this was more hoop proof as they say. Im out.
You can't jump in and out of p2pool... There's no gain in it because you lose shares. Also I'd like you to explain how anyone can predict when the pool is going to hit a block. So much fail in your post...

Starting to? Lol... I sure picked the wrong weekend to rent 200TH/s. I'm down about 6 BTC... Need some blocks very soon

i never went that low on p2pool i would not know how a payout would look like at that rate
It would look like this: 0 don't be cheap add those other zeros 0.00000000 LOL... As I stated in my first reply, at current share difficulty it would take the OP over 3.5 years to expect to find a share for p2pool.

Is the price still at 0.5 BTC?
Prices are set in USD. $125 for the 1oz/1seat & $400 for the 5oz/5seat version. how much now for the 1oz coin? getting 1qty. I recently picked one up. At the time of purchase, it was 0.47 BTC. The coin is very cool. I'm definitely not a coin expert as this is my first ever purchase of any kind of collectible coin, but it comes in a very nice clear plastic air-tight holder and there aren't any visible artifacts on the coin itself that I can see. Hologram on the back.

Yeah... 460GH/s is passable on p2pool - you can see how my S3s have been faring by looking at the comparison test I'm running on OgNasty's pool (standard p2pool vs a proprietary implementation of traditional front end on p2pool backbone). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=891298.0

p2pool is not A good choice for low hashing.
460MH/s is not a good choice for any kind of BTC mining. You'd do better hitting faucets.

How many days of not finding a block is considered bad luck? I think it's been three days now?
Any time it takes more than the expected number of shares to solve a block, it's bad luck. Until the next difficulty change, that is 41,272,873,894 shares.
|
|
|
460MH/s... for BTC p2pool mining? Good luck with that... you can expect that to take over 3.5 YEARS to find a share.

So I thought I'd give p2pool a little bit of help finding a block...
WRONG ! statement, not a block, FEW blocks. GL mate. i'm also doing my part here: *not much but at least something* Local: 59434GH/s in last 10.0 minutes Local dead on arrival: ~2.8% (2-4%) Expected time to share: 14.5 minutes Shares: 234 (21 orphan, 5 dead) Stale rate: ~11.1% (7-16%) Efficiency: ~105.9% (100-110%) *supposed to have more shares but was away @ nh for couple of hours* now where's the block LOL... yes, a few blocks would be most welcome. If we hit a few blocks in the next 4 hours, I'll be sending a nice donation to p2pool .

Picked up a couple hundred TH on miningrigrentals. Owner of the rig pushed it up to over 600 TH to ramp it up. It's settling back down to the 200 I rented. Yes I overpaid for it... But the gambler in me is hoping we hit a few blocks in the next 6 hours
