2681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 25, 2022, 09:46:20 PM
For the second time in history, they have lost three in a row at Camp Nou.  Barcelona seems to be making it difficult for themselves, even though they are still second in the standings but the competition in the hunt for champions league tickets is getting tighter.  If their performance continues to decline then threats may come from other competitors, even the worst thing is that the target to qualify for the champions league can disappear.

There are lots of lessons to learn from Barcelona as a team. You know what has been keeping them glued to that second spots despite their April quack performance. They started with high speed and they had good strategy to gather more points at the beginning of the league and they were able to hold of the second place, that's why even now that they are misbehaving, they are still able to maintain that place.
This is what some team lack, they didn't have point from beginning and when they notice that the league is coming to an end, they are now in pressure for hunt to win and get points which is already late.

Barcelona already felt threatened, Sevilla is here with them, only the next match will tell who will be second and third and Athletico is getting tight on Barcelona back. With this few remaining weeks, expect many surprises.
2682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think New Casino Should Partnered With Bounty Managers To Gain Trust? on: April 25, 2022, 07:07:06 PM
.......
Did you read the caution attached to the footer of the signature that was just launched? He clearly stated it that you should do more details research before joining a project, that's what all projects managers do. Just because a most reputable member in this community partner with a company doesn't guarantee the success of the project and how you use the platform, it has happened here in the past and some reputation scam threads I have gone through on how some companies that all started well ended up in the mood.
My advice, playing in new casinos can be inviting especially the new offer and bonuses that they do give but place a caution on your money, deposit the little you can play at time and increase as their reputation grow with years.

Leeds have been playing well of late, I think they can beat Crystal Palace today or at least draw... They need to pick up points to break away from the relegation zone... By the way very surprised to see Everton there! They'll probably be playing in the Championship next season... It's unlikely they'll be able to pick up points because they have tough matches ahead of them...

If not that premier league doesn’t stop until all teams complete their 38th matches from beginning of the week to the end, I will be happy if a petition can be forwarded for Crystal palace to take a break. They haven't win a single game since their last 5 matches not FA match and not EPL, too sad for the team, it will be easier for Lead city to beat them without looking back.
I don't have words to use to describe Everton, their demotion is certain because their remaining matches says it all. They can't beat Chelsea and Leicester city, may be Watford will be easier to draw.
2684  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill passed requiring drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill parents on: April 23, 2022, 07:42:50 PM
Due to the availability of the car in our time, a huge number of inadequate and headless drivers. Such laws can affect the understanding of a person who thinks to drive drunk. As the saying goes, laws are made with blood. Driving drunk is the most irresponsible act.

If you're drunk, you should never handle a car stirring but intoxicants will never listen. Let's even say the driver is not drunk, anyone who killed any parent must compensate the deceased family. Accidents happen and sometimes we can't avoid it but what will come out of a drunkard with debts? how will they support a child when they have their own problems? This bill may be hard to implement. I have also learnt that responsible alcohol drunker don't drink to a stupor to the point that they lose their sense.
The idea of new projects exploring this trend wouldn't last.

Imagine a blockchain network where users private keys can change passwords randomly to make a transaction and only the original wallet owner can see the code, something like 2FA idea integrated in the blockchain itself 😅 don't turn me into a laughing stock I am just looking into any new possibilities.

You haven't communicated! With a private key, you can spend a bitcoin locked on your wallet address on the blockchain, you don't need a password to authorised or sign a transaction though, for safety, you may want to encrypt your private key with a password so that any bad actor wouldn't have access to your wallet or when they try to export private keys from your wallet.
You may also want to use a 2FA (two factor authentication) to co-sign a transaction from a multi-sig wallet, it is just an extra security feature but it is more complicated than an ordinary wallet, Electrum[1] has that feature, you can check it out.

NOTE: Your coins are not stored in the wallet, they are on the blockchain. Your wallet is only used to manage and store private keys.

It’s just that Binance can freeze our accounts and preventing us from withdrawing for certain reasons, that is if we don’t have at least one hardware wallet. The cheapest one is SafePal, so it’s better to grab at least one.

I will never feel safe with any centralized exchange, Binance is one of the giant companies that is widely known for trading but while Trust wallet is a closed source, I will choose them since I can have my recovery seed but there are plenty of open-source wallets to choose from, I wouldn't settle for less that is why you see others here always recommend a hardware wallet for maximum security of your coins.  if you can do crypto, you should be able to choose a better wallet as well, it isn't that difficult hun!.

With less than 20 minutes to go before the early kickoff match involving  Arsenal and Manchester United is done, will the Ronaldo effect come in play...His already had a goal disallowed  but I think to balance the scales, a share of points here will not be a bad idea. Come on United you can do this, losing back to back isn't  on the cards today.

As things stand Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United

Now Maguire can rest, the fans will no see him to blame anymore for Manchester united failure. I was thinking because of what happened to Ronaldo and still decided to play today will be a luck and shining start to them but it is what it is, football they say surprised and this is indeed a big win for Arsenal with 3 goals to 1 with less than 8 minutes to go.
I am happy for Arsenal, they don't have any reasons to slow down now except that Tottenham is still having an outstanding match with Brentford. Tottenham could win them but I want them to loose in my mind.
2688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Despite CBN’s clampdown, Nigerians traded N316.9bn bitcoin in 2021 on: April 22, 2022, 10:24:40 PM

I wouldn't even called that a ban if not for the fact that they stop fluvterwave from giving access to customers to fund centralized exchange accounts but that's fine to me, I like the way people has been operating but I don't bother my self going that extra mile, I have a local vendor as friend that is ready to buy my sats any time any day.
I don't want to bring much talk about Nigerian government and crypto thing but if they called this step as a ban, then they are the most brainless group of government to make move against the use of Bitcoin and Altcoins.
2689  Economy / Economics / Re: What should be a good ROI for a startup? on: April 22, 2022, 10:11:39 PM
Crypto wouldn't let me think of other business especially now that you could easily get promised huge return from New projects with shit staking APY and fake percentages.
You are just interested on the percentage, you forgot that factors affect ROI and it doesn't always get achieve as you have stated. For a fresh start up, you need at least to be able to deduct your total cost of production (investment) from the final value.

15% per annum is not unreasonable for an investor to aim at for the year. But I don't know how you mean by 6.6 years, you mean to get back the invested money ? How do you get to such calculation for 15% profit in 6.6 years time, you didn't take into consideration of tax, inflation etc.

If you multiply 15% by 6.6 years should give you %99, other things you specify weren't consider.

Some days ago, they received donations from many supporters including some pledge members of the forum and that gave me a confidence that they may be the new El salvador. It is not as if they are threatened from other countries that have been sanctioned.
I'm only seeing buy, what about selling, will there be an implications if one decide to sell bitcoin to hryvnia, will there be a repercussions? In war people will need money and right now is only those with savings and investment will spend, selling a part of bitcoin to the local currency will be the fastest and easiest way if there is no penalty to that though.
2691  Other / Beginners & Help / We are not safe with centralize exchanges, know this and get peace on: April 22, 2022, 09:26:25 PM
Yes, the subject is correct! Everything you see about centralized exchanges is bad for you. You may think they are cool because of the promotions and bonuses you get in exchange
for ease KYC, documents you give them are all just easy routes to identify you and by the time you step into their foolish trap(they called it policy), sometimes you don't even have to do anything before they come for you.

I was going through theblockcrypto and I saw one interesting article that featured how Binance agreed to share user data with Russia Government. This is the snip and quoted below:

Quote
Binance reportedly agreed to share user information with a Russian agency that collects and analyzes information about financial transactions as the crypto exchange seeks to enjoy better relations with governments around the world.

According to messages obtained by Reuters, in April last year, Binance’s head of Eastern Europe and Russia Gleb Kostarev met with the agency, known as Rosfinmonitoring or Rosfin, in Moscow at the invitation of a Russian non-profit organization called the Digital Economy Development Fund.
Source: https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linked/143016/binance-agreed-to-share-data-with-russian-government-agency-report

There is more to what was been discussed, they claimed Binance will not share anyone's data unless when law enforcement directs them to do so just like the way banks do comply. Now imagine how many local regulators that will be disturbing Binance for who they suspect or feel to torment.

Everything about KYC is wrong in crypto and so you should avoid it, you don't have private keys meaning what you are viewing is just data on the server, not your real coins, your privacy is at risk, and the government has the ability to change and do anything at any moment.
2692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why some promising newbies fail in the forum. on: April 21, 2022, 09:43:05 PM
You have pointed out important things but I would like to emphasize one thing, it is "value". What can you do for the forum and how can you be helpful to others, that is what comes to my mind as a newbie.
There was a particular thread that discusses why some members preferred to merit legendary ranks over lower ranks and out of all the replies, one person said it's a value, legendary ranks are experienced, add value to others and provide help where necessary, so what can you do to be better than them in the forum.
I began to question myself about what can I do to help the forum since I'm a newbie who has little knowledge about bitcoin, I searched through the forum and there were many of them that you don't really need to be too technical about bitcoin to help others like to clean the forum by reporting scam and plagiarism, help others to answer questions in technical discussion, Bitcoin technical supports (you need the knowledge to achieve this), economical aspect of bitcoin but while doing this, stick to the forum rules and regulation.

Respect users and their opinions as long as they are not misleading others. Keep reading, someone's personal text once said reading will not make you spam.

......

I think I have seen plenty of these topics before, make sure to use the search box on the top right-hand side of the forum for existing topics before you create one, it helps you reduce the stress of writing a book that people may dislike except if you are adding something new that forum members haven't learned before. When in doubt, always check Newbies - Read before posting, that single page we overlook has all key points that will guide any beginner and everyone on the forum.
You don't have to include width and height to adjust your image, the height alone is okay, and the forum will adjust the width automatically.
2694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you do a manual crypto arbitrage ? on: April 21, 2022, 06:46:58 PM
Hi Everyone

Would like to confirm the correct way to do I manual arbitrage.

I'm sure you're aware that USD pairs arbitrage trading isn't as popular as it once was, it was profitable back then when there used to be a price difference between exchanges, but you'll be hard pressed to find a trading pair with a large price gap between exchanges these days. However, some traders who use Dex and Centralised exchanges trade a single coin using different smart contracts. What they do is buy the coin but instead of withdrawing through mainnet, they make use of other chains like BSC to easily sell on pancakeswap. It worked for some coins but only a few, and if you aren't active and fast, other traders will quickly exploit it before you.

NB: Arbitrage is sweet when the withdrawal fee is low, don't try it on the Ethereum chain

Does volume matter if exchange A volume is 5k and exchange B volume is 100k?

What if the volume on exchange A is 0 and the volume on exchange B is 100k will the arbitrage work?

Can you arbitrage any coin? For example ZIL3S/USD-GateIO 0.379 to ZIL3S on MEXC – 1.81

Volume and liquidity are important, if you bought a coin worth $100k on exchange A at a price of 0.379 and exchange B is 1.81 but the buy order at that price was $2k and the rest is at 0.379 or below, you should know that you are doom already, don't even try to open market order because it is going to sell below the price you bought on exchange A

Can you please recommend some arbitrage bots/software?

How? Kucoin has a trading bot, you may try it out bot I'm not sure it close to what you are searching for.
2695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 21, 2022, 05:56:02 PM
However, Barcelona's performance in the last two matches is not satisfactory. Even then, in this match, I want to rely on Barcelona. I know Sociedad is strong at home. But if Barcelona is in good form, they can play great in away matches. I never forgot the match against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. Despite not playing well in two matches, though Barcelona will win today.

Sociedad isn't bad either, in their previous encounters against Barcelona, they have always equalized at least one goal, even if they don't win in the end, demonstrating that the team is in good shape and functioning well. They made it to fourth place on their 38th game last season, and they still have a chance to qualify for the Europa conference league with a sixth-place in the table, but don't be surprised if they return to a 4th place like they did last season, with six games remaining before the league's conclusion.
2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 21, 2022, 05:14:54 PM
The result was unexpected, Arsenal, who were in poor performance in several matches, were able to win at Chelsea.
it will be interesting in the race for 4th place with Tottenham but I think to move Chelsea from 3rd in the table it will be very difficult, because of the gap in points left and also the remaining games of the season which are only a few steps away.

Many people were not paying attention to Tottenham, I was overwhelmed with the speed of light with which they overcome other teams, including Arsenal, which was sluggishly misbehaving. Fortunately, they now share the same points with Tottenham and with a few more struggles, they can catch up to Chelsea. I'm not sure why you thought Arsenal couldn't come close to finishing in third place, is it because they have a reputation for failing fans? If we rate Arsenal with their recent performance on a scale of one to ten, I'd give them eight and am very confident that they'll win two of their next three games.
2697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 21, 2022, 04:50:49 PM
Many people haven't really been paying attention to Villarreal, they are actually thinking Liverpool will have it easy. Villarreal are very stubborn and not so easy  to predict their style of play. Their defense block is mostly intact throughout their game and they are compact when they lose the ball.

They don't appear to have many records, since their last match was just twice and they each had one victory and one loss, but do you believe Villareal is capable of defeating Liverpool? Liverpool has six Champions League titles and Villatreal has none. They say that experience is the best teacher, and I am rooting for Liverpool because they will have the perfect plans to face their opponents. I am not underestimating Villareal, but they have a low chance of winning the cup.
2698  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Question about SHA-256 hash functions on: April 21, 2022, 07:07:35 AM
The SHA-256 hash of "Hello, world!"

19270ea4f98808a63fbb99bc26a5ee6f0fe8df9c8182cf1d710b115d57250578

And the block header of bitcoin block 732811

000000000000000000016923fc405bbb8e9552072b0905adeb4115706e569bb2

I'm yet to see anything that can break the SHA-256 hash function, so it is impossible to find an input of any hash result. One of the cool features of SHA-256 is that it gives you the same fixed length result, you can confirm it from the two examples you did above irrespective of what data you input. Both are 64 characters, If not that you specify the inputs and the results, it will be difficult for anyone to differentiate between the two.

I highlighted the first 19 characters of each hash with red color to emphasize that the former has random leading characters, but the latter's leading characters are zeroes. So, my question is, what would be more difficult to find, in terms of computational power, a hash with the same 19 random characters like in the first example, or a hash that would be less than the second hash with 19 zeroes? And why?

The hello world hash doesn't have anything to do with computational power, the SHA-256 gave you the unique fingerprint of the data you hashed while the block header was the result of the block hashed which was less than the target value(often calculated by the miners).
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 20, 2022, 10:40:28 PM
Football is a team game it's very difficult to only rely on one player, and at the moment Real Madrid are like that, they are very difficult if Benzema is absent.
From the quality and consistency of these two teams I think Man City has a chance to beat Real Madrid and advance to the final, although it's not because Real Madrid is a very difficult club to beat in the Champions League.

If a player can do it, I as a coach, I will rely on him. If a player will keep my opponent so scared of the remaining players, it's cool and welcome idea. Remember the days of Messi in Barcelona, opponents get scared of him whenever he has balls on his possession because they know what he us capable of doing at any opportunity he sight.

Manchester City will likely give up on this UCL than you think, the line is already draw, take it or live it Liverpool and Real Madrid are  the only that will qualify this year Champions league, we don't have to fight it, just wait for the end if semi-final and get ready for the next future.
2700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 20, 2022, 10:22:29 PM
Three to one lead and they won barely?

I don't know why Benzema still gets played a full 90 minutes in such matches. He could easily pick up an injury and miss out on the crucial Champion's League matches.
Seeing Vinicius coming off the bench looked weird though  Grin

May be the word ''Barely'' was used because he was disappointed that Benzema loss two penalties in a single match, so many goals were also disputed because offsides.
This is what you get when you become an icon and most hype man among team, there is going to be pressure here and there and lots of high expectations. They shouldn't over used him, they have more task ahead especially the Champions league, it is going to be a sad event if he get injury and couldn't be able to play next matches.
