2681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I trade cryptocurrency with FX trading knowledge? on: April 08, 2022, 10:37:40 AM
I must admit that I'm truly a newbie in both trading and cryptocurrency at large. I took some courses on trading some months ago, those training were majorly on foreign exchange (trading currency pairs). I've not been able to perfect my strategies though, but I'm curious about cryptocurrency trading, would there be need to learn it specially or general trading knowledge can help in cryptocurrency trading: can I trade cryptocurrency with the knowledge I've acquired in Foreign exchange trading?

Everything you see on cryptocurrency trading pairs today was developed through the creative art of forex, so approach crypto trading as if you were doing the same. Despite the fact that crypto trading has certain regulatory issues such as volatility and other things that may result in you losing some money. These problems cannot be controlled because no government can control the crypto market, but there are some trading exchanges dedicated to specific jurisdictions, like Binance US, it is carefully regulated and monitored to avoid things like wash trading and whale manipulation.

If you know how to trade forex, you're fine to start with cryptocurrency trading, but I'd also recommend getting some more information and materials like Binance Academy[1] and Alexandria on coinmarketcap[2].

2682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Occupational hazards of trading crypto on: April 08, 2022, 09:42:18 AM
I believe there are more risks to being a full-time trader, and this is dependent on the amount of money you have committed in each trade. For example, I can open a $100 spot trade position and if I get trapped and lose 50%, I may be brave enough to hold that position as I can manage the loss, but even with that ability, I can lose my appetite, I wouldn't want to talk to anyone as a small thing can upset me easily, and I may become mute throughout the day; these are some of the common after-effects and emotional damage I face in short term.
What happens if I open a $100000 position and lose more than 50% of it? It will not only cause me to have high blood pressure for a long time, but it will also cause me to fall repeatedly whenever I remember my errors. Cheesy Cheesy
2683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding "When" to trade. on: April 08, 2022, 09:08:16 AM
Trading requires strategies and works on individuals differently, trading Bitcoin on weekends is just a No but I scalp altcoins if there is enough trading volume to consume large orders and not some shotcoins that will make you trapped. The best time I trade bitcoin is when Newyork exchange opens because of the effect of Bitcoin ETF, some times there used to be an open gap that traders naturally like to fill before the weekends and not just that, Bitcoin do get attached to traditional stocks like Dow J and S&P 500.
2684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there interested in a no KYC exchange. on: April 08, 2022, 08:55:28 AM
Round 2 after huge susses with cripto // debit i wanted to dust off an old plan.

We were building a (centralized) exchange that runs on Binance liquidity which allow user to trade free without any limits and KYC. I would love to get some feedback and ideas. The exchange is already finished. But there are thousands of exchanges to choice from, and I don't know if here is a big interested in this idea. Love to hear your side.

Did you plan right before the implementation of the exchange? There is no way a user can generate a unique API on Binance exchange without undergoing their mandatory verification exercise, you cannot tap into their liquidity except you are recognized by them.
As an alternative means to achieve this, you may want to check out centralized exchanges like Kucoin and FTX that don't require KYC to some limit but if that become possible, how do you intend to handle law enforcement, some countries are very strict with KYC since some users used that as a route to evade tax.

2687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new bitcoin documentary on: April 07, 2022, 03:04:22 PM
I was able to watch the documentary and there is only one lesson that anyone who holds bitcoin should do: "Never in any way trust any centralized exchanges with your coins.''The title might have been different contents if it was a decentralized one where nobody holds the keys to your bitcoin.
The founder had everyone fool and gain all the trust, the CEObastard even demonstrate how a bitcoin ATM machine work to two children on how easy it is to buy a bitcoin, a very shameful act for him to disappear, some people would have been a millionaire with all the money he had disappeared with.
I hope those who love shilling centralised exchanges learn from this, the day they disappeared, you will behold responsible for misleading the masses, if you hold bitcoin on an exchange, get em off right now.

2688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dormant Address Containing 100 BTC Activated After 12.4 Years When BTC Was $0.08 on: April 07, 2022, 02:40:01 PM
There are only a total of 118.75 Bitcoin right? So with Bitcoin's current price at $43,670.86, the total of the Bitcoin in fiat would only be $5,185,914.62. How come it is worth more than $53,700,000 today?

We can only guess why after more than 12 years the owner has finally moved his Bitcoin. Whether he has just gotten out of prison, or has only decided to make use of his Bitcoin after years of hodling, or has finally recovered his private keys, etc, he has made a huge wealth out of what used to be an insignificant amount.

I just had to view the transaction on whale alert and you are right, maybe Op mistakenly wrote that amount but still, isn't that a miraculous way of becoming a millionaire. Buying 118.75 bitcoin at $0.08 should be worth just $9.5, this is the highest level of discipline I have ever seen as a hodler despite when the price popped up to $20k, the owner never sell even now, it doesn't show that the user has liquidated it, it might be a change of keys/seed for maximum security.

2689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did I just went too far? on: April 07, 2022, 02:03:17 PM
.....

I remember bumping into a thread of a period when there was a split of chains on the bitcoin network that result in a Hardfork, coins like bitcoin cash and others were created, that was when I heard of the word 'Airdrop' but the concept is now different from that new projects give it out to people just to create some level of awareness, boosting of marketing and audience growth, it is possible that you can also have received those tokens when you do some task too. However, where there is a good deed, there will always be some who play foul to fool others.
Binance smart chain and Ethereum chain are now the most target place where scammers mint any token they want and go to any public spreadsheets with addresses and spam them with those tokens, these tokens smart contracts are programmed in a way that when you interact with them, they sweep everything on your wallet. So, your friend is not a scammer, he was just trying his luck and got trapped by scammers.
By the way, tell your friend that there is nothing free on the internet, you have to do something to get something.

2691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 06, 2022, 09:41:20 PM
This weekend is going to be a super exciting one with the games lineups where the top clubs are going to face each other Liverpool vs Manchester City, this going to be the toughest game in the whole of the premier league this season as the match is going to determine who is going home with the championship title.

Liverpool and Manchester city match is a tough one to predict, Man city will likely win this or may be a draw, Manchester city wouldn't want to wake up one day an see Liverpool topped the spot they have struggled to maintain.
Apart from West Ham from the above table you presented, I think they are the team that may possibly get into top 4 if Arsenal failed to make it, the rest of the teams are just playing field for who may make it to tell relegation and Europa league.
2692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 06, 2022, 09:16:13 PM
Real Madrid beautifully remove PSG from champions league, as if that wasn't enough they have now do the same thing to Chelsea except that there is another away-home match next week, isn't that crystal clear that Benzema is the new old goat that wouldn't retire anytime soon as Ronaldo and Messi are no longer giving us the entertainment we use to have, the goal would have been 4 if not the off target Benzema missed.
Look at the way Mendy was trying to pass ball to Rudiger, that was very poor way of passing ball, he knew Benzema wouldn't see a chance without given a try, he saw the chance and he took it with boldness.

Koinly has been great tbh. It's got lots of integrations, it's easy to use, offers a free plan with essential features and the company really seems to care about their clients. The best part: it's available in more than 20 countries including UK, US, CA, and AUS.

https://koinly.io/ I can tell you it's a 5/5

Isn't this weird that a new accounts gave an excellent review with a newbie account that was created yesterday without a single post history.
Your account was also created right after the OP open this thread, I have a feeling that you are either working for Koinly or you are one of them, the platform may be good but please don't add horny to your statement, there is nothing like 5/5 when it comes to something general for the public, there will be different opinions in real state.
2694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It seems that more people taking crypto trading as full time job on: April 05, 2022, 11:46:36 PM
......

It's going to be a suicide to live a job that is paying well to come and start trading that I'm not very too good at trading, but I wouldn't think of that even twice.
Trading is profitable, make sure you know intotal of what you are about to get into, there is massive profit if the coin you buy increases in price but do the opposite in as loss that every one is preventing and protecting their state of mind. I can't live my job for trading, I can't do the both but trading will be when I have time and scalp some strafe while maintaining my job but I wouldn't accept anything like jobs with frustrations.

Trading has help a lots of people make some money and the market has just lots of opportunity which they can grab some from and do it at your own convenience, wouldn't want to do that too, let them come and let's encourage, there is massive liquidity now a s compere  to the oldays market.
2695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you agree market behavior has changed? on: April 05, 2022, 11:25:05 PM
It will not go the same way, the market is very volatile. There is no indicator we can rely on once for long trades. As time goes by, we have to update our trading strategy. Because we will not always receive the same signal. If we could use the same strategy for every trade, of course all traders would be rich. Because they never lose in a trade. In trading there are winners and losers, depending on our hard work in analyzing and our luck when the market is as expected.

Market react differently, if you want to judge it with a single line of action to its everyday price action and movement, you will sink down completely loss money, trust me. It's good to use historical past events to predict the outcome of price movement but I think crypto is just different from different on how it moves compare to other markets.
For example, we have once experience how virus were mechanically spread around the by some bad actors that have affected every market but we haven't experience something similar to corona virus spread, I haven't seen any since I came to the world but if such a bad thing should happen again, it wouldn't crash bitcoin price to $3k to $4k price like it did in the past. However, know that there are bitcoin event that is known fro moving it price to a new level to compensate miners and their hard work(Halving).
Price will fall when it encounters any resistance that may resulted from fundamental principles, so play along and know when to exit the market if necessary to minimize losses.
2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 05, 2022, 10:52:08 PM
With the results of this week's match, it is confirmed that Bayern Munich will again make it further away from Borussia Dortmund following the defeat suffered by Borussia Dortmund against Leipzig. And in other positions Leverkusen put pressure on Borussia Dortmund because their points distance is now only 6 points adrift. I think Bayern Munich will win the title easily seeing what Dortmund are going through.

leipzig has been moving sluggishly the past weeks  but as of recent, there is a pivot in their performance. Out of 9 matches that Leipzig has played, they have draw just 3 and won 6, the Dortmund concede to them was a big win for them to say that they win their 3 goals in 53 minutes. The kind of energy they have used to secure most of the goals, if they continue, they will not just remain in the top 4, they will come close to Bayern Munich but wouldn't top because it's already certain that they will go home with the trophy.
2697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 05, 2022, 10:08:27 PM
Barcelona is currently in second place in the La Liga standings, but with the current point difference, it looks like Barcelona will not put too much pressure on Madrid position at the top of the standings, in my personal opinion Real Madrid is currently quite safe and comfortable at the top of the standings and their the opportunity to end the season with the title very wide open at the moment, especially from the remaining 8 matches, maybe only Atletico Madrid has the potential to make Madrid a little difficult to win, while the rest of the other matches seem to be relatively easy matches for Madrid in my opinion.

If it weren't for the goal difference, Barcelona would be in the top second spot, which they may take at any time, but first place is still a long shot, the distance is just too wide to cross, especially with only 8 weeks left in the La Liga season. Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona all have similar points, but regardless of goal difference, if any of them wins a single match, the table order will be rearranged.
I hope Real Madrid wouldn't get distracted by the quarter-final with Chelsea, they still remain my favourite and would want them to win some trophy next season but La Liga is first.
2698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 05, 2022, 09:43:13 PM
To come to a full conclusion, Manchester United doesn't deserve to qualify for the Champions League next season.
I see Tottenham taking the bold step to get in, they have actually picked up.
Arsenal was very poor in last night's game against Crystal Palace, but best believe if they can with the next two games, a chance to qualify will sure be for them that I doubt majorly.

With the way Manchester United is going down in the table, the goal they have conceded is about to be equal to or more than what they won, if care is not taken, there is going to be Mass sales of some players and expiry of players contracts.
I think is too early to give up on Arsenal, the organizers are too quick to put Tottenham on the top four and Arsenal below, they have the same performance in winning, draw and there is a loss of 1 difference.

I just notice that the goal difference between Tottenham is ahead of Arsenal.  Sad
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 05, 2022, 05:43:14 PM
Tough days for Chelsea who had to accept the previous unexpected defeat. Even more worryingly, they were in this condition before Champions League week arrived. And also the team that will be the opponent is a superior team that represents Spain. Moreover, their opponents in the league are still comfortably at the top of the table, it is not an easy job for Chelsea to face Real Madrid in the current situation.

Two times champion league trophy winner wouldn't give up so easily, Chelsea is just one of the best team with such a political setback but even with that, they are still balling and killing it without any hesitation.
This is a premier league discussion and should be as such, I don't know why these days small clubs are always privileged to win most of the matches to say that they are not close to Europa league not to talk of the top four but I believe Chelsea will do wonders in this season of EPL.
2700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 04, 2022, 07:21:37 PM
Will arsenal be able to score more goals in today's match as to help their point increase, since they're not in the top 4 what is arsenal's faith in the ongoing 2021/2022 premiere league
Arsenal have to put in their best effort to order win against Crystal Palace. To also help them recapture the fourth position from Tottenham. I think Arsenal will score at least 2 or more goals tonight. Although, the game will be played at Selhurst Park Stadium, and Crystal won't want to lose in their home.  We should be realdy to witness a tough game. However, Arsenal are way very stronger and have high chances of winning the game.

Despite yesterday's matches, the table still looks as if nothing happened except for Arsenal that has been removed from their top four. It is difficult to predict how Arsenal and Crystal palace as most of their previous matches have ended as a draw, I just think that Arsenal will want to maintain their position in EPL. They both have the same point and even if Arsenal manage to draw, they have two more outstanding matches from their previous weeks and if they can win that, Tottenham will sink down by 6 points likely.
