2681  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever Crash and be unpopular? on: October 24, 2015, 02:24:50 AM
there are only 2 options. 1= bitcoin will succeed and see the adoption rate go through the roof. 2= bitcoin is being replaced by something much better which makes bitcoin basically useless and lose support of the people.
2682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we left $220-240 for good? on: October 24, 2015, 02:20:38 AM
not yet. as long as we don't see the support is building up at the $300 level, i can't say for sure we won't fall back to the $220 level once again.
2683  Economy / Speculation / Re: This steady rise is gonna continue till halving on: October 24, 2015, 02:18:55 AM
could be, but at some point i do expect traders to slowly take profits and benefit from the price that went up. i really hope we won't fall back to below $300 after the halving. that would be sad.
2684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I trust BTC exchanges? on: October 23, 2015, 06:43:11 PM
There is just some good exchanges and reputables businessmans running them ,using new exchanges can turn the new scam history.

people get wiser over time and stop using new exchanges that promise you interest rates and such. better stick with existing large exchanges and you'll be fine.
2685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: October 23, 2015, 06:40:21 PM
People are creatures of habit and not anxious to try something new. So its not a question of which is better. Tge question is what are the best ways to help people experience crypto for the 1st time. Then it snowballs from there.

the best for this to happen is to set up readings in several places and show them actual bitcoin usage in real life. that might help them to get the motivation to use bitcoin.
2686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BIG EVENT] BITCOIN IS NOW A LEGAL PAYMENT METHOD AND A CURRENCY IN THE EU !!!!! on: October 23, 2015, 06:37:53 PM
As I said in another post, it is great news for presenting Bitcoin to people.

When people stare suspiciously at you when you introduce bitcoin to them, you can show them a newspaper.

That alone is great!

for the average joe it's amazing, but i would like to see america follow europe and do the same. but it will probably take a lot time as they use old fashion policies.
2687  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC climbing in a slow stable climb on: October 23, 2015, 04:18:29 PM
a slow price advance is better than the price going sky high in a very short time. a slow but stable growth is the best growth you can have.
2688  Economy / Speculation / Re: How it will go to $0 again? on: October 23, 2015, 04:14:22 PM
it can only go to zero if a major flaw is found in the protocoll or the encryption is easily hackable some day in the future.

if nothing like this happens i would bet a lot that it never goes to zero again.

bitcoin is an open source project. everything can be solved in quite a quick fashion. a flaw can make the price go down a lot, but not to zero.
2689  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: October 23, 2015, 08:25:39 AM
the effect could happen early though, so it can be 6 months or less, not that long of a wait for sure, we are very to discover how much the halving will affect the market

I am not very sure about it. When the last halving occurred in 2012, the Bitcoin price continued its downward journey for another 10 months, before the steep uptick occurred. If we go with the same logic, then we might be seeing the effects somewhere in 2017, rather than in 2016. It will take some time to remove the excess supply, which exists right now.

we can't go with the same pattern of 2012, because it was different back then, bitcoin was less notorious, and therefore the users base was very small, probably there were no "average joe investors" but only those that learnt about bitcoin earl

the market cap back then was nothing compared to now. so it surely won't repeat as it is completely different. we'll have to wait to see what happens.
2690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $300 this month? on: October 23, 2015, 08:23:29 AM
This 281 dollar peak has been a great boost of confidence in people that thought we would never reach anything like that again. We only need to cross 300 again to prove that Bitcoin can recover and double his latest floor. After this, the uptrend is due. It will only be a matter of time before "The Great Next Rally" begins. Until then my friends you better collect all of these cheap as hell coins.

The thing I worry about, is that in the future, we will look past with retrospect and see that this was for sure a "dead cat bounce" that happened after the big crash from August... Hopefully this isn't the case, but still... this is a likely scenario that could possibly happen.

But I think bitcoin could definitely reach $300 this month, but I personally hope that it doesn't happen to quickly... because then that attracts papa bears to come out and short like hell all the way back down to $250; maybe even $220.

even bears like to see their coins gain value  Smiley they'll probably place a few sell walls at $298-$299 to prevent it going to $300. as soon as they see people are buying through their sell walls they simply pull back and let it go.
2691  Economy / Speculation / Re: How it will go to $0 again? on: October 23, 2015, 08:20:07 AM
you shouldn't worry about bitcoin falling to $0 as that will simply never happen. even when bitcoin fails or get replaced by something better in the future, then there will always be people keeping the price higher than $1 Smiley
2692  Economy / Speculation / Re: In your opinion, what price point is "Da moon"? on: October 23, 2015, 08:17:11 AM
for me it is more in the range of $1000 at the moment, as i like to keep it realistic. if we manage to touch $1000 again in the future i will be very happy.
2693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: October 23, 2015, 08:15:00 AM
Gambling can be great if you know anything about sports.

even if you know a lot you'll lose hard at some point. no matter how much knowledge you have regarding sports, it is and will always be gambling.
2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can a transaction be stuck in limbo forever? on: October 23, 2015, 08:12:48 AM
as far as i know these transactions can take weeks to confirm, especially with so much unconfirmed transactions waiting there.
2695  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-22] World’s First Bitcoin Friendly Bank NextBank Announces Upcoming ... on: October 23, 2015, 08:07:42 AM
Man, so much bullish news! This is so great and all the other pro-Bitcoin banking announcements. Not sure if the Gemini thing is paving the way here but I love the effect on price

the effect on the price has been slow if you consider the amount of good news we have had so far. maybe we're preparing for a small bull run very soon.
2696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who really uses bitcoin? on: October 21, 2015, 05:57:22 PM
i use bitcoin to invest, send and receive transactions, holding and buying different things online from stores as dinodirect and such.
2697  Economy / Speculation / Re: yay btc goes ~$250 ! on: October 21, 2015, 05:55:16 PM
For about 16 hours the price of bitcoin has been increased.
At the moment it is around +3 dollars which makes me feel a bit more happy.
I think that it is the moment now to change the tittle to "yay btc goes ~$280" Smiley

just because the price wen't up 3 bucks you think the price may reach $280? at the moment we'll probably stay around $260-$270 for quite some time.
2698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise? on: October 21, 2015, 05:52:40 PM
Looking at Preeve and Coinbase for almost 20 intues now and looks like it's staying for the whole day at the 270 level (272 - 277)
I'm happy to see that and hoping that by weekend it touches the 280 level
Slowly but surely Smiley

looking at some charts or price tickers for 20 minutes doesn't say anything about what the price will do the rest of the day.
2699  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the next big run-up in price? on: October 21, 2015, 05:49:03 PM
the 1200$ peak was because of WILLY BOT ffs! unless the winklevii have some crooked bot cooked up and set to run on their exchange we aint going to see a run up like that again for a while. nobody actually uses bitcoin for anything besides speculation (and mining which is a type of speculation)

what about the people that use it to pay for things? have you forgotten about that already? speculation is part of bitcoin whether you like it or not.
2700  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: October 20, 2015, 09:15:46 PM
Two years back the best investment was cloud mining. Your bitcoin will work harder for you to get you new bitcoins. But now it seems like negatively earning business. I have lost half of my investment, still waiting for my ROI. So, in my experience bitcoin is the better investment to grow over time.

Cloud mining opportunities nowadays haven't the same nice reputation as before a few years ago..we noticed so many times scammed sites shown their-selves as cloud mining services, but in fact its just ponzi schemes

cloud mining is wasted nowadays. the whole cloud mining market is for 95% filled with scam sites offering cloud contracts with high returns.
