To be fair he had David Robinson, Timmy D, Tony Parker, Manu, early kawhi.  I mean he has been blessed with some great players who would make a lot of coaches look good.  I do agree he is a great coach but give him average players and you get and average coach.

I remember Steve Kerr on that story back then as their hater's believer that the coach doesn't matter if the overall roster is good. Phil Jackson also got in line on that as he holds lots of superstars in Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers and gave him a championship. The other example that got put into that situation is Miami Heat's Erik Spoelstra although not on the same level of Coach Pop or Phil.

But looking deeply, players won't follow a coach if they are not reputable so having a big coach really matters as players will follow what the coach said, most of the time.

That's for sure, about batching, it could help but most of the gamblers are small-time gamblers only who risk a small amount of money, so saving from the fees is really very important. With the ETH 2.0 update, it might help reduce the fees for ETH users in gambling,

Gamblers who only have ETH on their assets and want to gamble, then do the large batch of deposits to practically save fees. They can also give up their ETH and trade it for another coin so that next time, the fees are cheaper when they deposit again at a gambling site.

For small-time gamblers, then just don't choose ETH. No need to wait for the scalability of fees in ETH networks as it will take time, or maybe, a long time. If I'm not mistaken, ETH 2.0 now takes place but users can't still feel the cheaper gas. But back last month IIRC, fees are cheaper with the same congestion status. I don't know how it becomes high again.
2683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 26, 2021, 11:40:25 PM
We just need to hope for the best. Every institution is struggling with the pandemic and PBA is no excuse. Other countries are now slowly turning their sports events into normal and we can see a large audience now because they are all vaccinated even others don't want. There are lots of vaccine doses supplies now in our country but others are still hesitant.

That's the advice of WHO, without people having fully vaccinated, the large mass audiences are not encouraged. The number of big cases everyday is already usual to see and it can't be controlled but if only most people are vaccinated, it can reduce the risks of being a spreader.
2684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 26, 2021, 11:33:53 PM
We like to see that fight happen but the camp of Donaire cancelled the fight, so that dream is already over.

It's not totally over. There are lots of ways to fixed that if both parties are serious in arranging the match. It makes more sense to me to believe that Casimero will fight Donaire first and Inoue as the final level on that weight class.

With Casimero winning against Rigo, I'm sure Donaire's camp is now in talks for the fight to push through but they don't want to spoil any information yet which I understand.

I'm also in for Casimero vs Donaire's first as that was supposed to be the match in the first place.
2685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 26, 2021, 11:28:04 PM
I would have thought the game play was conducted weekly which would bring your calculation down to 30(y) X 52(w) X $36 = $ 56,160 (give or take - based on the today dollar values for the three game panels played)

That's right. According to the article, the lottery where that man won is rolling twice a week.

We just don't know if that man is also betting on other lottery tiers making it a daily basis. It makes more cost because he has 3 sets of numbers.

But with this computation, daily or weekly, still an insane amount to spend. That man is even a hardcore gambler compare to the usual gambler.
2686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 26, 2021, 11:20:49 PM
Not a big fan of Caleb Plant, but I want him to win this match. Canelo cheated GGG of victories not once, but twice (with some help from subhuman judge Adelaide Byrd).

That's a big accusation. I don't know on what part Canelo cheated but their fight was intense.

Maybe you are reading speculations and controversies much rather than the technical side. I like to have their rematch too to finally closed the door. Better to place a bet on Caleb Plant if you don't like Canelo. The odds are attractive and worth risking a bet. Who knows upset will happened.
2687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 26, 2021, 11:15:34 PM
if they are creating so much noise here, paul/woodley will really be popular in attracting fans to watch this exhibition fight more than those professional bouts. lol

That's how it turning up. More on exhibition and not a professional bout.

But whatever it is, they are able to catch the attention of many and are willing to pay to watch the fight. Bettors also placed their bet and more to come. Once the fight happened, they should do everything to entertain the fans so the next time they will have a fight, either exhibition, comedy, or professional, there are people that will pay for them to watch.
2688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 26, 2021, 11:09:14 PM
but when do you think Esport betting such as  League of Legends and Dota became popular.

It's been a while now since online bookies, fiat and crypto, list a betting market for that kind of game. Their popularity is now big and the proof of that is the growing betting market on it.

Do you think Esports betting has a good scope in the future where most of the teens are getting into games like LoL and world of warcraft, Dota, etc?

Even without the participation of teens, it will have a good future in betting. Some gamblers are also putting Esports on their list as one of their target to bet.

Esports has a bright future and gambling within it will be huge.
2689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 25, 2021, 11:59:25 PM
My grandfather is like that and he passed that behavior to my parents everytime they are betting on the lottery.

Nothing wrong with the habit and no effect on RNG. It's just that, that routine is good for others as their own way of attracting luck by sticking and being loyal to their picks as they believed their efforts will soon be rewarded.

That also applied to other picking number games.
2690  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: ETHERMON Play to Earn, Legit Grind ba? on: August 21, 2021, 08:13:00 AM
Sa sobrang dame ng NFT games ngayon, yung iba hinahype nalang nila para kumita ng pera and later on, mawawala tulad nalang ng nangyare sa cryptoknight (not sure kung ito ba talaga ang name), ginaya kase nila ang cryptoblades at ayun, marame ang nalugi dahil dito.

Bladeknight yata yan.

2692  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All Binance users are now subject to immediate KYC verification on: August 21, 2021, 07:31:50 AM
I don't see it as a problem. For average users, BTC0.06 daily limit is still high. Still better than those exchanges that are asking for KYC even for small withdrawals.
Have you read the announcement carefully, or you are just replying because you feel like you need to?

It's very clear that after a certain period, no one is going to be left out. Old or new users. If you want to continue trading on Binance. You have to first pass KYC verification just like Bitmex is doing right now.

Chillax.

Then just think of it later. Why being affected. Accept the fact that all centralized exchanges will soon implement KYC especially on the top crypto exchange today which is Binance. Do you really think Binance will not force a mandatory KYC soon? It's been years since they give that no KYC opportunity to non-basic accounts. It's even good that they still implement first the BTC0.06 for non-verified accounts rather than completely removing their perks as non-verified. If you are using Binance regularly then why do overreact for that privacy leak or something. I also said I'm already KYC verified there because of P2P.

I am being a realist here. It's up to you if you trust them 100%. That doesn't stop me from point out their flaws and saying the truth.

And just to be clear I also said that just ignore it if you are not using the platform. Why overreact to something that you are not using in the first place. Don't be a representative to those who are not using it. You don't understand the advantages of using the platform. Just to be clear, I'm not defending or promoting Binance here. JI just like their service compare using our local crypto exchange.

I am also not here to change your views. Who am I to do that. So be it if that's your stand. I truly respect it.
2693  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All Binance users are now subject to immediate KYC verification on: August 20, 2021, 11:55:35 PM
I don't see it as a problem. For average users, BTC0.06 daily limit is still high. Still better than those exchanges that are asking for KYC even for small withdrawals.

All users who are dealing with large money in Binance have surely verified already.

Are you willing to bet on binance keeping your data safe after an ugly past? I certainly wouldn't even have any hope.

Overreacting for me. 100% I will trust Binance for that since I always used them especially the P2P part. If you don't use Binance regularly, then just ignore the KYC, simple as that. And besides in general, our identity is not always private.
2694  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: CryptoZoon - Earn ZOON for every fight on: August 20, 2021, 11:48:35 PM
Kumbaga more on trading muna since maganda ang volume. One reason is, transparent ang team so in case of di maganda ang naging progress, puwede sila tumakbo.

2695  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: August 20, 2021, 11:34:24 PM

Number of pets mo yan. Di sya reward.
2696  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: August 19, 2021, 04:42:03 AM
Kagaguhan iyong Boss fight.

Sadly, walang refund yan.
2697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 16, 2021, 11:56:47 PM
There's no flopping in the old days, I wonder who invented that "flop", is it Lebron? lol...

Flopping is cheating, it's a disrespect to the real essence of competition and I think the organization will have to impose more penalties on floppers as it does not develop a real competition that everyone could just use just to win with no essence of satisfaction.

Haters lol. There's no inventor of it. Flopping is effective and many players are doing that.

And who's to blame why flopping is effective? Lebron? Players? No.

You should blame the referees. Flopping will not work if refs can see it clearly. Refs are the worst today, not players. They even make the league soft so you won't see any hard defense now.

The reports say that teams will cover their expenses in hotels and daily spendings of their players and staffs. They are all agreed with it.

It means PBA's budget is really alarming that they ask teams to do it. I agree that they can wait for ECQ to be lifted instead but they choose to spend more outside.
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 15, 2021, 11:58:39 PM
we all know there’s also politics in boxing especially the fixed matches.

If the match will end up by decision, Pacquiao might be got hit by this possibility. There's no good money in return to bet for him so something magic is needed in order for big gambles to win.

Pacquiao should pursue the KO. He is the challenger here after all.

2700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 15, 2021, 11:48:16 PM
Axie Infinity has been on the top of it when it comes to Return on Investment. So you should hold this coin for long term prospective.

You won't reach your ROI and profit if you will just hold. AXS should be spent so the circulation will be healthy.

Their in-game currency SLP is the one that shouldn't be sold always as there's no other way of burning it aside from the breeding part of the game. That token has infinite supply so their community should also help to balance the SLP spendings while devs are working on other ways to use that token in-game.
