2681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage Trading on: January 29, 2022, 11:23:57 AM
Any trade with leverage leads to a complete collapse.  There are practically no people capable of controlling their even mental state for a long time.  This is constant stress. and a breakdown, eventually.

This statement will be true in relation to beginners who do not have experience and trading strategies with leverage. If you have learned how to trade on the spot market and have not lost your deposit, you can safely switch to margin trading, but at the same time you must comply with risk management.

It’s actually not, and will not always be true, because even experienced traders are also affected by human emotions and some other patterns of behavior, causing them to be vulnerable in making mistakes sometimes. They are not robots,  although they make less mistakes than newbies. Plus switching to leveraged trading is not as easy as your post is telling everyone.
Well, it is relating to newbies instead of experienced traders though. I guess what OP was saying was about how newbie traders would "always" experience breakdowns and stressful experience, compared to experienced traders, who experiences everything all the same BUT they do know how to handle their emotions properly and would rarely let it run out of control. It's probably easy in terms of switching since you have experience, but the risks would still have the same problems all the same.
2682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is the best crypto provider to give you advice on how to trade in crypto? on: January 29, 2022, 06:15:22 AM
They do take advantage into those people who do lack knowledge or simply doesnt really have any idea on whats going on and its better to read up communities suggestions and recommendations about things.
Just like those people mentioned above that having your own trading analysis would be much preferred on where you could act on your own without relying others speculation which might cause
even more hindrance and confusion towards your own analysis. So its better to be solely dependent rather than on relying into others.
There's the internet as well, a sea of resources you could find and use to start your trading journey. It might be a bit of a hassle though since you don't know where to start, now that's where you can ask people. If they ask for money, then leave it be, but if they were willing to share it, since most of it is general knowledge stuff afaik, then it should be really helpful in setting your path. Honestly though, the first step starts with having the money to try out trading first, since that money could let you help experience stuff.
2683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If football is Legal in most countries why is Gambling Prohibited on: January 29, 2022, 02:50:17 AM
Agreed, gambling and sports are different industries. Here sports industry have the ability to move on its own. The gambling industry is much dependent over the sports industry, but for the same OP have misunderstood that gambling need to be legal when the sports is legal.

As said governments have different policies which portrays why gambling is illegal in the country. Also there were more sports/games are illegal in different countries. For example cockfights, there are countries and people yet conduct those games and gamble over it.
Sports gambling is dependent on sports, but not gambling necessarily. I mean we have casinos out there that have their own gambling games such as slots, dice, blackjack, etc., so it isn't necessarily bound to sports. So even if just, for example, a country banned sports for some dumb reason, gambling could still thrive and vice versa. The two don't need to be allowed for both of them to thrive, they're two separate industries after all. If we were to actually specify it to sports gambling though, then yea, OP has it the other way around, sports gambling was just a byproduct of sports themselves imo, without sports, there wouldn't be sports betting.
2684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Neven's Law: Only a Decade Before Quantum Computers Hack Bitcoin? on: January 28, 2022, 12:59:34 PM
Does this take into account improvements towards Bitcoin's, well, whatever backend techy side there is? I'm not particularly sure how it should actually work, but I reckon it should have at the very least paths for improvement that would counteract developments like the quantum computer thing OP said. After all with the way people are rather pro of Bitcoins long term development, it developing something against Quantum computers shouldn't be all out of the picture, unless ofc, some madman suddenly rushed the development and made it within a span where Bitcoin had no way to make improvements.
2685  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 28, 2022, 10:46:12 AM
Changing terms and conditions do even happen with known casinos as far as i remembered but the issue had been totally patched up or been resolved when the community just simply forget on what happened
and been focusing most on the service been giving out with these platforms.

Issues could really be there but what matter most is that it would really be get resolved out but those negative impressions would surely last neither on personal choice you would really get discourage
or would turn you off overtime and would tend to switch into other one and we do have different mindset when it comes to this.So it is really hard to tell on what level of tolerance on a
certain individual could really have.
Yes, changes in TOS have indeed happened in some casinos, there was even a thread here about a topic where the TOS of a casino was changed but it never updated the users (or it was sent in spam, I can't really remember much about the specifics anymore). Nothing new really, TOS changes are rather normal for some casinos, especially if they find loopholes or some stuff that they forgot to properly arrange.
That new casino will not do that because they want to build reputations and gain trust from people so they use smart ways to benefit them. But in their journey, if they're going to scam people, they start to do bad things and trap them so they will not realize that those people are getting a scam by the casino. It begins from withdrawal is not process, asking KYC for withdrawing some amount, cheat on their system is some examples that the casino can do to their members. If that happens to us, we need to get out from them and not think to use them or back to them because they will do other things to get our money.
Pretty much standard scammy procedures. Honestly if a site, even if it wasn't a casino, maybe even just a news site or something, starts asking you for money to view something you clearly have access originally but they just changed it arbitrarily without updating you or giving you time to realize the changes, just leave and quit using that for good.
2686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 28, 2022, 08:48:08 AM
As our colleagues from BTT note here in the topic, the obvious advantage of cryptocurrencies is the elimination of an unnecessary intermediary in payments - the bank.  Moreover, he usually takes a commission for the transfer.  But with cryptocurrency and payments, of course, there can be difficulties, first of all, when you make a withdrawal of funds to your wallet.  This is where the casino may start requiring various identity verification options (which is frustrating if you wanted to remain anonymous).  Moreover, this personal data can include even video selfies or utility bills.  I think these requirements are too high.  But many people demand it.
Wouldn't the one would find to play in in the first place in casinos that don't have strict KYC requirements, even when withdrawals? Some casinos have strict KYC requirements though already in the first place though afaik, as long as you read the TOS well enough it should be pretty easy to understand if a casino has withdrawal KYC requirements. It's not really high, it's KYC in the first place, it's supposed to be strict and stuff like that.
Self-advantage or disadvantage will depend on your experience.

Eventually while continuing to be involved in gambling, you will determine those advantages and disadvantages for you.
Not on experience really, but rather based on what coins/exchanges you are using since the experience on using crypto is pretty linear, it's just dependent on "what" you actually use.
2687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If football is Legal in most countries why is Gambling Prohibited on: January 28, 2022, 02:11:10 AM
I mean, they're completely two different things? Gambling is well, an entertainment activity, mostly correlated with how closely it brings most people closer to addiction (which honestly, should be blamed on the user and not the activity in this scenario), and with its negative connotation, ofc it's rather reasonable why countries would ban it. Now, as for football, it's a sport that's really enjoyed by a lot of people, a competition between skilled men, who would hate it? It's not irony, it's common sense of the society (sadly) as of now.
2688  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 27, 2022, 04:33:31 PM
Or, you can just hold. Remove the stress in trying to invest and just keep on investing. Learning the bare minimum together with investing in coins that would develop in the long run, and not just built up hype, would help you a lot. Honestly, short-term is not really something I'd let someone new to trading do, heck even long-term traders would probably say that they don't particularly like something like day trading. It's just way too much stress imo, especially for newbie traders.
2689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 27, 2022, 04:04:14 PM
Well damn, glad for you OP. Pretty sure it was rather hard, especially during peak seasons I reckon. Still, it probably was a bit easier in the following peak seasons after the first, but it doesn't mean that it was still easy to hold after all of that. Might've been better to buy sometimes during dips? But oh well, if you're satisfied with what you have now, glad for you! Still, you might want to withdraw some every now and then to spread your portfolio, after all holding for that long should give you enough leeway to actually invest on something else.
2690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 27, 2022, 12:09:27 PM
This is the classic example of " It's easier said than done."
No matter how you sugarcoat and label it as "responsible" gambling- gambling is still an irresponsible act itself.
I don't want to sound hypocrite here because I too gambles.
Now, the best advice you could give to a gambler is to never lose yourself, your family, and everybody you care.
Facts. It's really hard to do what words can easily say. And honestly, even if the most generic advice is always repeated, it's general advice for a reason, mostly because people can't seem to follow it no matter what. The best advice to a gambler is honestly, to not just gamble. Or well, if you can't stop that, then just don't try to gamble for money, try to gamble for entertainment. It was originally supposed to be as such, and yet people still lose themselves and try to gamble to win money. it isn't that simple.
2691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: January 27, 2022, 04:13:20 AM
I've seen some info but not confirmed that Ana might go with T1 replacing 23savage. And the other rumor is that 23savage or Gabbi is going to Boom so that article makes sense about Febby's leak.

Things are becoming exciting if it's about the roster shuffle. Who knows as there are a lot of players that are free and relegated to division 2 which is going to make them build their own team.

Well, I won't be surprised with that but for Ana and Jerax unite? We don't know, everything is possible.
Whoa there, Ana coming back? Let's go. Hope this improves the SEA scene really, and possibly add more teams that could compete in the TI, what with the recent changes that the format had that made more teams be able to join the competition.

As for Ana and Jerax though I don't think they'd be teaming up again imo. It's kinda unlikely? And honestly, I'd like to see more of a match where these two are up against each other. They know each others quirks and all that after all, you can expect some pretty good games from them with that.
2692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wikipedia Editors Have Voted Not to Classify NFTs as Art, Sparking Outrage on: January 27, 2022, 01:08:36 AM
Wouldn't you consider NFT as something like a media format instead? I mean I think there's no need to combine the two, the art part and the token part of an NFT into one single entity and call it an "NFT", it should be possible to separate the two when trying to identify which is which. But I guess it is kind of difficult to define it as such, especially to the masses when everything could be simplified into making it as NFT art, but if it could, well, ig problem solved? Honestly they can just put it under as a subcategory of digital art imo.
2693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turnover verification on: January 26, 2022, 11:25:41 AM
It's quite obvious that it's a scam no? Heck even the first part where your wife was asked to give them money so that they can make more money out of it, it already smells like a scam. Really, stop letting third parties use your money without any guarantee at all, that's just dumb. Plus, asking for more money for your reward to be given, is another sign of a scam, and if you accepted, probably another reason why you should stop listening to investment programs that you find anywhere. Just give it up OP, give up the money, you're never going to get it back.
2694  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 26, 2022, 03:05:49 AM
Ignoring customer reviews and queries. Honestly, if they just answered back some replies and queries, even if the casino is bad, at the very least the user would have some closure to it, and maybe leave for good (or stay, depending on the answer), but no, if they just leave it hanging, it hurts pretty much both them and the user. If they bothered to actually answer, most problems could easily be resolved such as withdrawal issues, game fixes, scam accusations, etc.
2695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 🔺let's admit it, Bitcoin time is over, now DEFI Time 🔺 on: January 26, 2022, 12:58:48 AM
I mean if you're talking about the hype and whatnot, then Bitcoin definitely isn't on the list most of the time, and definitely not now due to how the market is down the dumps, but you can't deny how much safer it is as an investment compared to, well, yours. Or any other altcoin investment. Yes, multipliers between the two are rather different since you can make 100x in one sitting, but it doesn't guarantee that it's YOU who's going to make it, you could be part of the majority, the ones that lose their money instead.

Honestly if you really want to, just diversify your investments. No need to go all-in on a risky project that is built on hype.
2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 25, 2022, 11:24:26 AM
Most obvious advantages of crypto gambling are the advantage of using crypto itself. Transparent transactions, the ability for almost anyone to be able to play, no KYC restrictions (most of the time, some casinos are limited by their license to require KYC afaik), and not many problems or issues when trying to move your money to the casino itself. It's really more on qol stuff, ones that actually make it a LOT easier for one to gamble, whether you're from a certain country. Nothing differs much based on gameplay stuff afaik, so don't expect anything from there.
2697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 25, 2022, 07:12:03 AM
It's nothing new really, most gamblers KNOW that kind of stuff, even those new to the experience. It's just that, the mind can't really follow what you want to say, that's the problem mostly when it comes to gambling. The addictive feeling can come in really strong for most people, hence why they fall into addiction and can't really stop, basically falling into the bad part of users that are addicts. Most people should honestly enter gambling as a "game" instead of, well, anything else. Expecting anything to come out of it is honestly just hurting yourself imo.
2698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can I control my gambling addiction ?? on: January 24, 2022, 05:18:58 PM
Ask the casino for self-exclusion? Or possibly ask a third party, preferably someone you trust or your family instead, to monitor what you're doing. There are existing extensions out there that completely block you out from sites or looking up certain words afaik, so they can at least prevent you from finding them. Other than that, really, it's either professional help or you yourself trying to stop yourself from gambling. Honestly, I'd recommend not stopping outright, but rather reducing the duration you spend on gambling, together with the amount. Slowly, instead of surprising yourself, letting it come to you naturally should be the best course of action.
2699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage in crypto on: January 24, 2022, 07:30:56 AM
Pretty sure it's too difficult nowadays? Most exchanges have their prices pretty close to each other now and so profits from trying it out would be quite minimal. Plus, even if there were programs that would let you arbitrage, pretty sure a few other people would have also used it, maybe even better ones. Honestly, you might even lose out due to the transaction fees. Yes arbitrage is less risky than other methods of trading, but it's also the most unrewarding out of all of them, and may even, as I said, make you lose out.
2700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are spectacular returns over for bitcoin? on: January 24, 2022, 01:11:09 AM
I think it would be natural to consider it? Considering the difference in the value of $1 and $1M and the possible growth difference between the two, well, It isn't that odd to consider it. I myself had considered investing in Bitcoin sometimes since even if I did invest, at most, I'd probably get thrice to 4 times the value of my investment, unlike way back then. Well, that was a "had" moment, still invested and went on with my life. It's still a return of investment and honestly, I have far less risk than those who invested back then, why would I complain still?
