No  I just bumped from 22 to 24!

It is doable because of psu overhead
a four card rig has 2 cards not 4
and all cpus are i3 or i5

26882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: March 02, 2017, 04:15:26 AM
Hey,

We unplugged it after to see what kind of OS it was after copying from HDDRaw software.

It seems like ubuntu and then black screen forever (sata connected on the rig). Anyways, we plugged it back our cloning machine, using a USB-Sata adapter.

After saying this, I felt you would ask us to try with sata direct connection, which we did.

Conclusion: USB-Sata connection is great you will be able to read most things and copy stuff very easily, but for some unknown reasons wont read your drive.

The direct sata connection seems mandatory for your config file to be seen by windows OS.

Thank you very much for your help, we will start the testing process as we speak for our farm.

yeah I figured that.  I find that I can work with it better on windows 7 then windows 10.

So I do my clones on win 7.  If I forget and clone on win 10 I also have trouble finding the clone.

I also find that cloning to an ssd or a m2sata or a pcie sata gives far better stability  then using a usb stick.

good luck mining.  BTW I am a fellow miner not the smOS guy. Cheesy

wish I could code like he does.
26883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: March 02, 2017, 03:52:00 AM
This is what I see after replugging back the SSD on our cloning desktop:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3gd2wueh/capture3.PNG?dl=0

Thanks!

well why did you unplug it?

if you unplugged it what did you do with it?

did you try to run smOS?

and how did you put it back into the desktop?

did you attach with a sata cable.

look at the photos above

they look at these photos wait a few minutes for them

so I open file and I put in my email

I click the x

I click save and the smOS now has my email I can put it in the pc to mine with

26884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: March 02, 2017, 03:37:59 AM
Hey everyone,

It could be just us being retarded, but we copied the image on one SSD to test out this mining OS.

We are stuck here: 4. Open config.txt file under windows and replace email to yours !

After copying the imgc to the SSD, we cannot open anything on it since we are on windows OS while doing it.

We gonna try to boot your ubuntu OS.

Please educate our stupidity lol

in windows  you can open the usb stick or the ssd.

go to files and you should see it  open it and write your email

give me 5 minutes for photos

here is the stick in my pc

find the stick or the ssd in win 7 click computer

once you see the stick in my case open it

you will see the file open it by clicking

Looks like we'll be able to build our own Panda-style rigs:

https://world.taobao.com/item/544785390901.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a230r.1.14.18.t29JEc&ns=1&abbucket=12#detail

Please someone share the link to corresponding MXM-modules available for purchasing.  Smiley

I would like to tell you it is a nice find  and for 142 usd could be worth playing with.

it is very nice.

it is off topic  and I could say don't dirty the thread but I wont.

btw smOS is working well for me

26886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: March 02, 2017, 12:35:53 AM
I have been able to get good pandaminer results

-epool stratum+tcp://us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0x3ef297e47404a771139472b93621f82c8a832857.Simple -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -ethi 5 -dpool stratum+tcp://pasc-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -dwal 86646-64.d3c2c1e866a79ef4.simple -dpsw x -dcoin pasc -allpools 1 -mport 3333 -dcri 3

so instead of eth doing 231 and crashing it does 220-225 for eth

and I get 338 for pasc

26887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Third alt coin thread last two were too big. Builds links thoughts etc on: March 01, 2017, 07:50:25 PM
So... got my rig#1 running ETH + PASC with Pasc intensity at 13 for almost 12 hours now so seems stable. Although still getting close to 7% rejected shares. I will start trying to bump it up from there over the day and see what happens. I created a thread for reporting PASC settings/results here if anyone is interested:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1808904.new#new

On another note, I just got notice from Baikal that my Mini miner has shipped and will arrive on Friday!  That was super fast and very happy about the great customer service from their team!  But, it cannot get here soon enough given that Dash is now pushing $40!

Also happy to see ZEC back up close to $40. I thought it was dead last week when it went under $30 but i guess not.  Even though Im still not mining it, hopefully the recent price bump will help spread some of the WW hash-rate away from ETH  Wink

I had to run different numbers for the pandaminer   4+4

my other gear can do 4+15  lots of overhead due to quality cpus.

my temp solution is two setups on smOS

The 2 card rigs  are my old 4 card rigs  so they have lots of overhead I can run high -drci maybe as high as 20

I posted on your thread.I now use 2 emails on two browsers this allows me to set the panda miner different from the other miners

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1808904.msg18027685#msg18027685

...

For now I have smOS with 2 emails 1 is all msi rx 470/480 rigs one is the panda miner.
Need two browsers  but it works on the same pc at the same time

the cpus in the msi rx rigs are all i5's  I suspect I can go higher
the cpu in the panda miner is a lowed mobile welded in so dual miner may not be practical at all

If I want I can go high as 1200mh with pasc but I get the open cl errors.

this is strictly on the panda miner I suspect the lessor cpu which is welded causes the issue.

I have a question  if I use a second email and keep the panda mine mining on it does that affect your future billing?

there is no question I like the service but I will need to be able to have different mining program options as the panda miner need different settings.
Dont worry, fees will be implemented AFTER i will do group managing.
Group managing + rebuilded selection table for miner programs will be first. And this is what i am working on.
Then i will propalby try to do some kind of fee service what wil be first optional and if you wont pay, i wont disable your rigs.
There will be big free period and many emails so dont worry guys about anything Smiley

There is another idea of taking my service fee: i think beside normal payment for service i will do "enable cpu mining FEE for admin" - take my service fee as CPU mining.
From your side it will only take more wattage but i suppose it will be more less 1-3 $ per rig per month Smiley
But this will be as alternative and i wont enable this on your rigs without clear permision.
Also i wont do sometking like Ethereum did: "if you disagree then click NO but YES is anyway preselected Cheesy"
There will be clear message with advantages and disadventages of each solution.
As i suppose, pandaminer cpu mining wont be good idea becasue of very weak cpu.
I would like my system to be simple and clear. Nothing is hidden !
I decided that i wont force anyone to anything becasue that is what people doesnt like.
Only crucial features and updates nesesery for my service to work are forced. (but i need those forced becasue it would create big mess for me Smiley

all my rigs have i5 even i7 cpus  the panda miner has a very basic welded mobile cpu.

I am going to give it a different email for now.  Once it is running alone  we can figure out details later.
26890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Share your settings/results for ETH + Pascal dual mining here on: March 01, 2017, 06:48:13 PM
Okay been playing with the settings

found out a few things

the panda miner has the 8 rx 480 4gb gpus that are flashed to 1145 and 2050

It does not like claymore 8.0 at full -ethi 8

It runs really well at -ethi 6 and no pasc

it runs well at -ethi 4 and drci 4

so  I think I need to run a separate panda miner on a different email address with simple mining

update   I now have the panda miner on -ethi 4  -dcri 4
-
epool stratum+tcp://us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0x3ef297e47404a771139472b93621f82c8a832857.Simple -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -ethi 4 -dpool stratum+tcp://pasc-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -dwal 86646-64.d3c2c1e866a79ef4.simple -dpsw x -dcoin pasc -allpools 1 -mport 3333 -dcri 4

and I have 5 2 card rigs  on -ethi 4 and - dcri 15

-epool stratum+tcp://us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0x3ef297e47404a771139472b93621f82c8a832857.Simple2 -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -ethi 4 -dpool stratum+tcp://pasc-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -dwal 86646-64.d3c2c1e866a79ef4.simple2 -dpsw x -dcoin pasc -allpools 1 -mport 3333 -dcri 15

looks like my 2 card rigs with tons of overhead are really good dual mining

I can do -dcri at 22 !

So after multiple settings   I have found that the panda miner struggles a bit with the combo of eth and pascal

I get the open cl watch dog on gpu number six.

so I kept playing  with  the intensity  numbers and I am doing 4 and 4

-epool stratum+tcp://us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0x3ef297e47404a771139472b93621f82c8a832857.Simple -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -ethi 4 -dpool stratum+tcp://pasc-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -dwal 86646-64.d3c2c1e866a79ef4.simple -dpsw x -dcoin pasc -allpools 1 -mport 3333 -dcri 4

so.....no winner ?  This is a nice little contest, but I kinda like the diff guessing game more Smiley  Nothing breaks Sad  (well thats good i mean)

yeah  a zip

I think I am going to set it up for march tomorrow.

may tweak it a bit.

have some ideas.

Janos probably going to go over .3 with all of the good luck they've been having recently... still never thought that this miner would last so long, I didn't think I'd be able to win at all haha.

it will go down to the wire for you  I have 1pm EST

so you won't know until 11:59 pm  about 11 hours.

unless kano.is got super hot and pops 4 blocks  in which case it would go past you.

I think they need 2 or 3 blocks for you to win.

It's all luck, nobody knows but I have a feeling Kano will go huge tonight. Either way it's great for you to get a working R4 Smiley hopefully it'll work long after this contest ends.

you are so close

0.18139366  f2pool

0.11056981   kano

0.29196347

you need kano to hit 2 -3 blocks in the next 2 hours  he went flat the last  48 hours

Looks like .291xxxx is the winner .

I,will setup next contest on the first of March .

Well, since the "Monthly Statistics" table shows blocks found during the month, and the next block will be found in March - it's now 20minutes into UTC March - looks like February has helped anyone who mined here in December and didn't do a runner, recover some if not all of their losses!
Yay for February Smiley
Yes, thanks for February. Which makes December and January hurt a little less in the butt.

January was fine

5 ½ months  we went from 48 to 62  that is a 29% jump

so 29% in 165 days was slower growth

and 36% in 21 days was pretty fast growth.

difficulty can go  from 440,000,000,000 to 4,440,000,000,000  and then 44,400,000,000,000

and then more.

My guess is we are headed for flatness and slower diff growth  from this april to this sept

Either way it's great for you to get a working R4 Smiley hopefully it'll work long after this contest ends.

you are so close

you need kano to hit 2 -3 blocks in the next 2 hours  he went flat the last  48 hours

Not to hate on the SimpleRigResetter, but I found this other product here that helps me:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-PC-Watchdog-Computer-Reboot-Board-/132082381678

I didn't want wires hanging from all the rigs to the SimpleRigResetter switch and wanted a more flush/compact way of the rig to automatically hard reset if anything happens to the computer (even BSOD and frozen computers).

To me, this seems more beneficial for my set up because it just plugs in the USB header and stays flush with the motherboard so there won't be anything dangling around. It is compatible with any motherboard that has a USB header. This should also help people who have their mining rigs at a remote location or data-center and can't have other wires dangling around across multiple rigs.

Advice: (Change your BIOS to always power on computer after a power-loss, and add this device, and add your mining program to automatically startup when computer boots, and it should help you maintain your rigs 24/7 uptime stress free).

Thought I share my finding. Hope this help others.

looks like it could be worth trying

I may have 2 or 3 locations

one with a lot of miners and 2 with a few miners  this could work for me  thanks

I tried Suprnova but it does not work as it requires something called a public key which it appears we do not have for Poloniex deposit address.  I have tried Coinotron and it says improperly formatted payout address.

So that appears to be 2 broken sites that do not work with Poloniex so what pools out there that do?

nanopool

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1799555.msg18011344#msg18011344I will try this for eth + pasc

-epool stratum+tcp://us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0x3ef297e47404a771139472b93621f82c8a832857.Simple -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -ethi 5 -dpool stratum+tcp://pasc-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -dwal 86646-64.d3c2c1e866a79ef4.simple -dpsw x -dcoin pasc -allpools 1 -mport 3333 -dcri 9

the bold is your intensity        8 is max for eth    20 is max for pasc

right now I am -ethi 3  and -dcri 11    seems stable

Ehmm about 120mh i have so means i will have 5 ETH for 25 days ?

very rough estimate but yes.

you stand a 1 in 16 chance you get an uncle  so you could be at 9 coins not 5.

also diff can jump and it could take 26 to 27 days.

so there is more risk mining full blocks on eth pool with hash  like yours.

I would want  at least 250mh  and hit one every 10 days at worst.

Think the op has a block a day and is over 2600mh
