How much are you paying in return shipping?  Yoshi repaired mine for $200.  Not the worst alternative in a bad situation.

Bitmainwarranty = yoshi

Buyer beware. Half of my R4's didn't make it more than 2 days.  So sad to see a company that has produced such quality product slipping violently!

I can post my buy history with Bitmain.  One order alone was 30 BTC.

They need to address the quality control issues of this machine and most likely the T9.

Read the other problem posts before they "sell out" of the next batch for us all to "Bring their miner back home to China" FOR REPAIRS -on our dime while difficulty goes thru the roof because they have disconnected all these machines and sold them to us and now they are "testing" the "new to us" machines in a month or 2.

I honestly LOVED Bitmain before this experience, I just wish that I would have read about all the problems prior to the last order.

Boomin

yeah  I have one r4 mining and I on the way.

I have  much fear about the one coming.

26967  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer S9 one of the fan started running slow on: January 21, 2017, 07:31:04 PM
You sould periodically clean your miners as dust builds up and coats the heatsinks and fns as youve found out. Switch it off and clean everything and see how you get on.
i did it.. but one of the fan is still slow.. its stuck on 1800rpm and wont increase

so buy a replacement fan

this one is okay

26969  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain/Antminer The worst support ever - CAUTION BEFORE BUYING on: January 21, 2017, 05:15:25 PM
Bitmain deserves to be nominated for an award.

Unfortunately the award is not a positive one - the level of support this company is providing is a joke.

Product quality of R4 is terrible, so I send my half working antminer for warranty fix one week ago. DHL courier said it was delivered on 18th of Jan. This is the response I have received from the most terrible support company of the year:

Dear Bxxxxxx

Thanks for reaching out to Bitmain! Our offices will be closed from Jan. 21 to Feb. 03 in observance of the Chinese New Year. Logistics will be out of service and all of repair ticket will be delayed during that period. Responses to your inquiries may be delayed as a result.

Because of the delay of package during the Spring Festival, we suggest you return your miner after holiday if there are still one or two hashboards working.

Our working hours are 9am-6pm Beijing time (GMT+8) from Monday to Friday.
We are working hard to respond quickly to every query.

Nobody told me about this when I was sending the package ....

This company is the WORST and this is what awaits you

Well you  failed  and wasted ― hashpower if the gear was 1 good board   you should have hashed until Feb 4  then shipped it in.

So that is on you.

The fact the board failed is on them.

So you lost about 14 days of hashing at ― speed say 4th  so lets  say .02  btc a week x 2 = .04 btc  or about 38 usd.

I feel your loss and anger.
I have a machine on order. So to help balance the worlds karma hopfully preventing my machine from crashing like yours did I opened a rental for solo mining.
see below:

http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

if this comes in  you will be given  some  btc.

I spent .01 btc to rent 50th for around 4-5 hours

hi guys and gals,

just a question,

I have acquired a shite load of dust payments over the months , when is the plan to ship test out as I'm sure they are work a fair bit collectively now.

Many thanks
AM's

kano has not paid any dust  since the pool started.

if you think they will come soon  you may be correct.  since btc is more valuable maybe he will pay dust out this year.

$135.99 is a really good price for a 750 watt titanium psu.

-- Note I am a prime member and it is even better then what theyankeeswin said it cost. ---

I have points on amazon  I will buy that if it is that price.  Thanks

Edit  he was right  I ordered it.  It was 145 with tax  but I had 35 in points so it was 110  for a 750 watt titanium!

For prime members only! The price is $135.99.

If anyone wants one  and is not prime  I can order it for you. Then drop ship it to you.  but it may be a little more then 145 if you have  a high tax rate. (usa only)

26972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are so many people dumping GPUs all of a sudden? on: January 21, 2017, 01:52:34 PM
^hes saying the buyer can claim the box with the same serial number arrived, but was empty.

ie: you ship me a gpu i bought via ebay/paypal. it arrives but the box is empty, except for a 2lb paperweight (about what the gpu would have weighed). i send ebay/paypal a photo of the paperweight sitting inside a box that has the advertised serial number. clearly you shipped the advertised box, but theres no way to prove that it contained a gpu and not a paperweight

I was a power seller on ebay.  There are 3 or 4 more buyer scams that the seller can not stop.

I no longer sell much on ebay.

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=philipma1957

this is my feedback above.

I stopped selling expensive items  a year or two ago.

I sold a mining pc  when btc was mined with gpus.

Buyer was cute tried a return  with 2 dead gpus.  He did not realize I had all serial numbers taken.
He said that he got 2 cards with  serial numbers different then I sent.
He had 3 feedbacks I had 1000+ feedbacks. With 0 neutral and 0 negative.

Ebay said I could not prove that the serial numbers on the good cards were ever sent to him.

He won.  I followed up for 3 months  and they caved in and gave me 250 in ebucks as a courtesy to a power buyer /seller.

I do not sell much anymore.  I still buy but sell very little.

I closed the deal and have paid for it.

Thanks to the op.

@ the yankeeswin    yeah my board is a dream board for five cards.  I would never bother to try a sixth card  as it would kill density factor

also I am under 600 watts  running eth 7.4  with stock bios.

I am looking to see a better z270 or z250  as the Aorus  is meant for 5 cards.

Also I am running Windows 10 Enterprise  so this could be the reason I did the 5 cards with ease.
26975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My new ZEC + XMR+ ETH thread builds info links thoughts and photos. on: January 21, 2017, 01:17:48 AM
do the 270s work with 6+ cards?

I need to do more work  as the board does have 6 slots  but they are somewhat buried.
I would need 4 risers using 1 in the full slot in the middle.

means a bit of work for me.

here is the board:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128966

it has 6 slots  so I have  to play with it more   to get it to do six.

Will be releasing a Demo version tomorrow!

Greetings!

Good  Once I find I like it I will most likely order a second pandaminer.
26977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: got an i7-7700 and a Z270 board - will let you know, whether itīs good 4 mining on: January 21, 2017, 12:09:24 AM
Thank you, lets hope 6 will work on it, planning to add a 6th card?

No

Many reasons why.  The simple reason is I prefer slot mining over riser mining.

My five card build uses 575 watts and is really compact.

I can use a evga 750 watt p2 psu.

Simply no need to run six cards.

I posted more photos on the other thread.

The 6th card would prove that the Z270 can run it, the Z270 has few extra lanes more than Z170, the Z170 cant run 6 or more gpu's.

here is the board:
