I wanted to start the funding debate, so that we could come up with a plan. It was not started to cause a split in our community or uncertantiy.
I'm removing the Poll and I would appreciate if this was not discussed further.
I know you wont donate but the donation addresses are in the ANN. The future of Fibre is heavily dependent on Block Cypher as was set out in the Road Map that has been available since 1 week after launch. Transaction mixing and Block Cypher were clearly marked as community funded, we are delivering the Fibre Mixer in Rev2 so no funding is required. We can not develop our own Block Cypher so this will have to be funded, we have been fund raising for 1 month and have raised 1btc.

Fibre had 650k coins, will multi pool increase the number of coins? The price went down is it because of multipool?
No mined coins are just exchanged for existing fibre and multipool just launched today that should actually add buy pressure raising the price Multipool is mining most profitable coins , selling them then buying existing Fibre which increases the price and sending exchanged Fibre to You Fibre Multipool Active algos - x11 , scrypt and sha256 http://fibre.xpool.ca

Good morning all Killakem is right , we don`t need anymore discussion about it Don`t encourage Fudders anymore please, just squash the fud in trollboxes We are looking into alternate solution to BlockCypher already Revision 2 beta testing commencing on Saturday 11th October Articles for every new feature are being prepared Let`s just focus on development and updates ! Please let`s cut it here There will be no additional coin
There will be no dilution of Fibre
We will find the funds required through the current method of donations
Lets not have any more discussion on this as people are using it to spread FUD on the troll boxes, going around saying we are abandoning Fibre and starting a new coin

On another note!! We have paid 1.5btc for the multipool. Its a lot but there was no one else and it was needed.
Whats left of the premine will not cover this amount! So we will make up the rest our selfs, as we have done many times.
So there is now zero premine left.
Wow nice multipool ill definetly be pointing all my rigs that way.. xpool.ca rocks ive been mining on it for about a month now. is it set up to atuomatically make a donation? Nope, everyone can send as much as they want after getting payout , no need to set any % at multipool

Ok I kicked a few fibre over. Sorry for any perceived unpleasantness. I only speak up because I want the best for fibre. I think more incremental improvements could double the cap to around 500k, which should then provide the necessary funds for block cypher.
Thank You , i hope other will follow You won`t have to wait long for improvements as Revision 2 testing will commence on 11th October

@killakem “The future of Fibre is heavily dependent on Block Cypher”
No, it is not, it heavily dependent on the community and your posts. How else can you explain the sudden decrease in interest/price?
It was discussion about idea for quick funding and getting new investment opportunity Community decision was made that we are coming back to donation system We can`t blame anyone for using it to buy cheap Fibre
|
|
|
I'm not finding the donation address. If a dev posts it I'll kick in a few fibre. If btc wasn't hurting so much currently you'd probably have an easier time raising the funds. Ok fair enough. Sometimes we manage to talk ourselves into a frenzy. Have you set a date when the decision on method of future funding be released? Does anyone know how to delete a poll? lol
Please read above update , decision was made , we are coming back to donations and counting that we will see now a money flowing in like crazy Community choice, now show us please that this decision was right We have built Fibre on being 100% visible and being for the community. So I will not bullshit you. I wish I had faith in the community's donations, but from experience I don't so Block Cypher will probably not be funded. This is due to the large holders not wanting to share their profits. We will have to find some alternate solution or a new platform for our future innovations. Thank you all for your input, even the guys that disagreed with me. Regards Killa Here You go : BTCITCOIN 1KckoFSB1gAed8HuXEQygbRHCoJFjvzwSB FIBRE F8htgcNftaCU2aSJYUrPzNDdtzpK1Ap3Jg

It can`t be deleted i think , just edit it Private testers prepare for 11th October

I think if option A wins out this poll and it is the option selected to go forward you can expect many large holders to jump ship. I would love to be part of fibre going forward, but I'll be forced to start looking to unload if option A is ultimately chosen. I get the feeling there are other larger holders who share my current position. Ultimately uncertainty is bad for everyone, and a decision will have to be made. Let's make the right one! The poll is confusing people, even myself and frankly getting a bad feeling about all of this now.
I am not sure I am voting for the things I stated in my previous post. In short, if there is a new coin presented that dilutes my current investment, I will exit to a new coin, not just a new one in this community. If the intent was to spur FUD, I think it's starting to work so I would seriously evaluate the majority concerns of the community and especially those with larger investments.
Say you don't care about my investment and you will shore up my feelings.

Hey Flogi , it is discussion on funding quickly future development(not only blockcypher but massive marketing strategies and new great developers who cost a lot) to speed up things and get massive exposure earlier We suggested option a as we think it won`t impact Fibre and can bring only good things Option b and c are suggested by community, we won`t definitely decide by ourselves We are continuing our work and aren`t slowing down with anything ,rev2 is just around the corner From reading above posts i understand this is Your biggest concern - people will sell some Fibre to buy some FibreLite As stated before it will be community decision , poll is just suggesting quick funding options Why is everyone speaking about jumping the ship lol Fibre development continues very good and poll can doesn`t matter at all if community just doesn`t want it Head up really Still option A is best solution in my opinion
