Good news for cricket fans and for South Africa as AB de Villiers is in talks with the cricket board to return for the T20 world cup and i really hope they will include him in the team, AB de Villiers was planning to return for the ODI world cup but then they did not consider him because it was too late to select him but now he informed about his interest to play the world cup well ahead and i hope there will be no more excuses.
Its good news but have to ask... Lol why he is coming back now? got bored with mercenary life? Make no mistake, I am big fan of De Villiers but he was the one who left the team voluntary when everyone literally begging him not to retire, not to mention SA team was in very bad shape and still are. This Visakhapatnam ground is considered heaven for batsmen and both Indian- Windies batsmen have good record in this ground. If i am not wrong then this is the same ground where spectators enjoyed the tie after Indian team scoring 300+runs, same opponents (IND vs WI). So India might want to go with 5 specialist bowlers tomorrow. I doubt if Indian team thinking about ranking atm.  they just want to be alive in the series by winning the game. Yes it will be difficult for NZ to beat OZ in their country and also batsman and bowlers are in form so this would not be an easy ride for NZ to content OZ in modest score . Unless some player stands out it would be OZ for me in next match too .
Advantage is with Australia, but I have reasons to believe that New Zealand would give them a good fight. The New Zealand bowlers seems to be in good form. Even with one of the bowlers (Lockie Ferguson) injured, they managed to restrict Australia to around 400 in a batting-friendly track. Neil Wagner has been in terrific form so far this year. If the spinners can also chip in, then NZ will be having a realistic chance of upsetting Australia at Melbourne. Right now Bowling is good but biggest problem is batting line up as they are not giving partnerships which need on cruical time this is hurting New Zealand Tayler and Williamson doing some resistance but fail to give good partnership Latham and Rawal is also currently in not good form so they have to improve some batting if they want to stand against Australia. |

Ancellotti can be the new Everton coach, talks is ongoing.  Edit, adding more  I think that it would not be a wise for Ancelotti to move to Everton. There are a lot of clubs that he can manage and are in a more competitive position in their leagues or European competitions. Arsenal for example is a better step for his career. Lots of unfit players is making team's morale down. Moreover it's pretty obvious that dew was a great factor today. Why is it always that when India wins it's either Kohli or Rohit who is the superhero of the win and if both of them fail India really never wins.
In day night matches dew is always a factor as the bowlers will find it hard to grip the ball as with the humidity in India it is obvious that winning the toss and electing to field is the best option always and West Indies was lucky enough to win the toss and they chased the target with ease, toss is a factor and i would like to bet in the next match as i saw the odds for West Indies were huge as India was the favorite. So it means that the team who bat second will win the next match. So we could make a bet right after the toss and invest a good amount on the team batting second. If dew play a role in each match, this would be easy betting win in this India West Indies series. Anyone else who is deciding to bet on the next match based upon the result of toss ? OZ 296 runs win over NZ is really a big win and considering the way they have beaten them is really an achievement as they have shown all round performances in all department and definitely the favourite for 2nd test match too .
They should have enforced the follow on, as it was possible for them to win by one innings. The Australian captain decided against it, because one of the bowlers (Hazlewood) was injured. But even with that handicap, they managed to bowl out the Kiwis for less than 200 in both their innings. Anyway... now the boxing day test match is going to be an exciting one. New Zealand for sure will be looking for revenge. But its Mission Impossible for New Zealand even they are looking for revenge Australia is very strong at home now they have some good batting and very good bowling which is giving them complete package tage they can sweep this series very easily New Zealand batting is also good but at home in oversease matches usually they are average which is hurting them. |

Heh, well, Pakistani team didn't but the rain made records, along with Abid Ali. He just scored a century on his test debut, after scoring a century on his ODI debut a few months back. I really like his batting style and coolness that he carries. Not sure why the hell he was dropped in the world cup.  Pakistan always like to go for experienced players when there are major tournaments and that is what happened when they dropped Abid Ali during the world cup selection process, i did not know that he made centuries in his debut in ODI and now in Test match and it must be a rare double for a player as i have not heard anyone doing so in the past. Australia won the match easily and Starc and Lyon was the pick of the bowlers as they shared 8 wickets between them in the second innings and with this match we have an idea how the series will unfold. Abid Ali is first player in cricket history who have hundred on his test Debut and ODI Debut so its good for him and Pakistan but still a lot of work to do for next test as its not easy to beat Sri Lanka they have to do more effort. Aussies was very quick to done with New New Zealand as they collapsed very badly no one for recovery in presence of Starc Cummines and Lyon their Winning streak at home is now three now waiting for fourth and fifth. |

But in Sri Lanka there is a clear cut separation of cricket from politics. You will not find a single Sinhalese who won't support Muralidharan. And similarly, you won't find a single Sri Lankan Tamil who doesn't support the national team. Dear we all are full of tension because we born in sub-continent and its almost full of tension so many ethnic groups and many little problems which can solved just in few hours and days we are living with them for centuries so we are almost 100 years back from normal world so please don't talk more about this things just love cricket and enjoy this.  Sorry for that because it is getting off-topic. Millions were killed and millions were moved as refugees due to that small issue and they were still living as refugee even after 30+ years on different countries like India which is something inhumane things were done to them,treat everyone as human.Politicians getting benefits not good for the country's future. Anyone backing Arsenal to take points away from City tomorrow and finally put the nail in the coffin for them? Not sure I'd back them to win but I think it will be close. City is probably done at this point anyway. Might as well concentrate on the Champion's League or the other domestic cups. After watching today's results there is any possiblity any result can happen in any match so Arsenal playing at home ane they are improving in recent time so may be I will try to do some small bet as I am feeling they are not bad at all just need some time for settling things out of ground. |

And I don't think that the Kiwis will go in to attack mode with such a huge target on board. They will be defensive from the first ball onward.
They have no other options other than attacking the balls if Australia make some quick runs before the lunch and retire their innings because it will be hard for OZ players to defend more than 1000 balls to get drawn as result. Now this test match is wide open and just rain can save Kiwis from defeat no other option available for them too much time and last few sessions for test is very helpful for bowlers so they have very few chances against Starc, Cummins and Lyon. |

Just got back from Anfield, happy we got the win. Watford were good today though, I don’t know if it was us being really poor after a CL midweek hangover but Watford were maybe unlucky not to get a draw today. They certainly pushed us a lot harder than many other teams do. The workload lately for the Champ league teams is huge!! relentless over the last 6 weeks, plus the international week too.. Im puffed just trying to stay up to date with it let alone being a player!! steve.. These are professional players here and Chelsea didn't even travel for the game but played it at their home turf in Stamford Bridge. I really don't think that by playing in the Champions League this midweek is going to have any impact on the game that they are going to play today. Should they lose it would be purely based on tactics and not because they are tired from their mid week game.
Have you not noticed how the teams that play in the champions league always have difficulty when they play in the next league? They only rest 3-4 days. The composition of players in the champions league is more or less the same as that which was revealed in the league.Usually the manager will rotate the player. I personally hope that Chelsea can win easily too so that the English league's top flight is more interesting For today thinking to have this parlay odds are not good but still worth to try Chelsea, Leciester and Chelsea all can win at home without any tough resistance. |
