2701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: January 07, 2023, 05:00:35 PM
Gambling is also a therapy which can cure anxiety and also financial bankruptcy. Like when you win a bet or throwing dice games, because of the win your mind will have peace. Gambling is not always bad but the time of losses are more than the times of wins. And that is why people don't like gambling because for them the money that will be used to gamble should be use to do a tangible things in the family not to throw away.
Well the same way gambling can act as a therapy which cures anxiety like you said, thats the same way gambling can cause someone to be very anxious. I could remember my last big win in my betting account, it was like hell for me. That win got me anxious and full of anxiety all through the night because i had to follow up with the last match in my  betslip and it was not until the 90th minutes of play before the team i predicted to win the game scored. Even after I won that money the anxiety in me couldn't allowed to sleep because of the joy me.

2703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time for me to buy on: January 06, 2023, 05:41:31 PM
just buy and leave your coin and be calm but be expecting good return.
[/qoute]
Its not as easy as you say it especially when its your first time buying crypto many people just dont know how to remain calm because of the volatility and the constant fluctuation of bitcoin price,  some just prefer buying when the price is down and selling it off when they have gotten minor profit added to the capital used in buying.

The price of bitcoin will get to $40000 again, but the price has gone lower which makes it a very good time to buy more. But if you have never bought before, it is a good time to buy. You may not buy at once, as the price is reducing, you can continue to buy until the bull market starts again and you will make profit.
Yeah this is actually a very good plan but only if the buyer can have the patience to wait and hodl up his coins until btc reaches another ATH which nobody knows when, but from speculation and researches made we only have the certainty that eventually another bull run is going to come so the reasonable action to be taken is just to buy and endure and hodl up your coins because time is coming when you going to be smiling. I myself have started purchasing but have only gotten few amount of bitcoin and am hoping to buy more in this bear season of btc.
2704  Other / Off-topic / Re: benefits of defeat on: January 06, 2023, 06:32:41 AM

Well, my own personal opinion I will say defeat is a disaster that has no benefits, I remembered when I run into a bad business, that will lost 1.8m this taught me a lesson that I will never forget in my entire life, because I was asked to pay back the money that was lost
I think you have benefited in that defeat experienced but don't just recognized it,  because a lesson learnt by failure is best type of lesson so far and you said in reply and i quote "this taught me a lesson". You were ask to pay back the money with was something that's very bitter to you so i think the benefits of this defeat is know how to go about it next time so that wont fall into such disaster anytime in the future.

2706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: January 05, 2023, 02:33:42 PM
I think this type of rule has already been implemented in many gambling-friendly countries. It's not just to make the transactions quick and easy but also for their government to have all of those records accessible for their data and safekeeping.
There are pros and cons to this type of ruling for a local government and those that don't like it don't want to handle it too easily to the government that they've got a gambling record. Still, plenty of options for them, thanks to crypto gambling as there are still casinos that don't ask for kyc immediately.
In my place i think funding your gambling with your bank accounts and card is widely allowed throughout the country,  although when its comes to withdrawal of funds and some other things kyc is always needed and me myself i have been using this as a means funding my gambling account online. So i dont think cashless gambling its a bad idea at all, after all these gambling sites are making huge profits from citizens gambling in their platforms so i don't see any wrong intentions for the government wanting to tax them and keep track and records of some vital data.

This makes it very easy for one to gamble anywhere, anytime because you can just easily pick up your and fund your bet with your bank account even if it's 2.am in morning but its has some kinda of disadvantages because i have lost alot of money because of the easy access i have to gambling in my account on virtuals games.
2707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: January 05, 2023, 02:03:39 PM
Wow, I'm very happy to see the topic of the Saudi Professional League (SPL) on this board, as we know that after Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Al-Nassr, this league is getting more attention from the public. Hopefully with this topic, we can get to know the Saudi Professional League deeper and better.

Here I also want to provide a list of players who used to be top in Europe and are now playing in this league, here is the list:

1. Al-Nassr
David Ospina (GK) - Anderson Talisca (MF) - Cristiano Ronaldo (FW) - Vincent Aboubakar (FW)

2. Al-Shabab
Grzegorz Krychowiak (MF) - Ever Banega (MF) - Santi Mina (CF)

3. Al-Ittihad
Helder Costa (MF)

4. Al-Hilal
Odion Ighalo (CF) - Luciano Vietto (CF)

5. Abha
Felipe Caicedo (CF)

This is great because i do normally add some matches in Saudi league when selecting and forecasting on odds i would like to play. And most times i just collect some matches from that league maybe because of the current form of the propose team i would like to add to my betslip.

I never really took interest in suadi league but now that a wonderful thread like this has been created,  it will now serve serve as medium for me to really know the strongs team that are in the league and even couple to the fact Ronaldo is also playing in the league now.

His presence in the league will bring viewers and also sport bettors to more acknowledgement of the league so talks about the league will be everywhere and also this thread will serve same purpose, so its a nice idea from the OP.

2709  Other / Off-topic / benefits of defeat on: January 04, 2023, 04:59:43 PM
DEFEAT
Defeat, a feeling that is very awful that is felted when someone intends in doing something and getting a desire results but ends up with a totally different outcome.

There are so many ways in which one can be a victim of such feeling. This dreadful feeling of defeat has trapped most industrious mind trying to come out to be recognized and has affected many people emotionally and psychologically.

Even in the forum here most people trying to build a reputation and newbies always feel this way as the forum is filled with good critics that's are always active and ready to correct and put so many people in the right track but this act is seen in the forum by some members as a sign of defeat and this sometimes crumbles their will power to keep on striving and trying their hardest to learn and be successful in world of crypto.

But defeat is not supposed to be handled like this with a negative energy and infact defeat is very beneficial  to all humans who are trying to excel because its teaches us some many lessons on the way to go about the situation in ground next time.

So i just want to hear from the forum members on the times in which we have encountered or felt such feeling but didn't stop but instead use it a benefit and a positive energy to improve ourselves.
2710  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: A wake-up call for Nigeria youths on: January 04, 2023, 04:43:24 PM
After Nigeria independence in 1960, the first people wey rule Nigeria then na the youths between the age of 27-35years. That time the youths were they ones wey d in charge and na them d take decision and talk wetin go happen for the country then although na military regime that time.

If una come check now, una go find out those people wey rule Nigeria that time in their 30's are still controlling and leading Nigeria till now. wey be sae dem no wan give the youths the mantle of leadership. wey be sae during their time na them d rule as youths and presently d wan d rule us wey be youths d go. Una see as the matter be so, as d wan continue to d do us shege d go.

Presently now, the economy of the country don turn many of the youths to be unemployed, for them not to be able to provide for themselves even for their family join. you go see 40years old man not married and still dependent on his parents for survival. if you come manage the successful as a youths, government or society go tag u as yahoo boi, based on u no fit d successful as a youth for the country due to the know how d country hard reach for you to be successful as a youth.

if to sae we d follow history we supposed know sae Obasanjo, Nnamdi Ezikiwe, Gowon, Ojukwu rule Nigeria at their youthful age at 30's. But in today realities youths are been used by old politicials to carry out their evil plans during election.

This is a wake up call for Nigeria youths during this election. Make we vote for the right candidate wey get a youthful energy for em body. Make we all know sae our future go be better than whatever decision we make today if we kukuma work harder and put things for perspective for our future
Well i wont say their is no sense in what you are trying to highlight because ever since our problems began as a  nation we have been ruled by this old men that have drag the our country into economic instability and crisis in all sectors of the government.

But the nations current situation is not only crowned to the fact that our leaders are old, a young and vibrant leader like you said can also put the nation into more problems so far as the individual is having the wrong mindset towards the country and being a great leader also is determined by your cabinet members and  we all know even the man with good intentions is still painted black because of the corruptful mind of his cabinet. So everything and everyone in Nigeria currently needs to participate in terms of making things right in country and i pray that we all change from our corruptful ways and always think positive and straight towards making the country a better place for both the youths and even the adults and elderly.

Nigeria currently now is on a crucial stage because any decisions made will determine the faith of the country either for good or for worse. So i would just urge very Nigerians to be very cautious of the future not today and vote the right person they feel can move the nation forward and not backwards. Forget about the money and yes the youth should wake up from their deep slumber and stop fighting and killing for those greedy politicians and think of how we can make Nigeria a better place for everyone.
2711  Other / Politics & Society / Re: More deaths in Nigeria. on: January 04, 2023, 06:55:50 AM
Months after the killing of innocent Nigerian youths exercising their fundamental human rights at the lekki toll gate by some members of the Nigerian army on an executive order, more deaths have followed. Not at the hand of the pandemic, but this time as a result of the clash between members of "Eastern Security Network" (ESN) and the Nigerian Army leading to more deaths both from direct and indirect gun fire,  and loss of properties in the eastern part of Nigeria. The crisis had been brewing since last week after an altercation between ESN members and the police resulted in death and a viral video of members of the ESN celebrating in a police vehicle they confiscated surfaced. Economic activities in the state have been really affected as a dusk to dawn curfew has been instituted.
Deaths caused by gun-fire in the eastern part of Nigeria is not a new case anymore as the country is currently experiencing serious case of insecurity and this has lead to different groups of bandits or people claiming to be Revolutionist that are fighting for course that is beneficial to themselves only and in so doing putting innocent lives in danger.

Nigeria is no doubt called the giant of Africa because of the massive population in the country and this population and ethnic difference in the country and this too is a major component of the killing in the country. The country is divided in terms of unity and diversity has caused so many issues for the people and the government, for me I just feel the nations needs to be united in order to stop most of the problems its facing.
2712  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My inspiration for you on: January 01, 2023, 10:26:32 PM
The year of 2022 will end today and we are looking into the next year 2023.

As a member of this forum, old or newbie. I hope you have something that you do plan to achieve in 2022 as your resolution for the new year entering into the year 2021 to 2022. The reality is that you are checking if you get those plan of yours or not but what I have to let you know is if you achieve the things, you should thank God for it because it is not into your power that you have them it is the grace of God , so be thankful. If you didn't have that achievement you plan my advise to you is don't give up your hope for what plan you have because 2023 is another opportunity year for you to try on again. You review yourself to know the reason for not having that your achievement.

Don't lose your hope to be great

Don't lose your hope to be great because hard times make for you to be tough.
How many times that you have fall will not determine your future so keep trying.

This is my new year message to everyone.
Its not been easy though through out last year,  atleast i can just encourage myself on the things i achieved but my greatest loss and dissapointment last year was loosing someone very close to me and this affected me but I thank God like you said OP because it was just by his grace that I was able to still be strong until this wonderful moments of the new year.

Most of my plans were affected very badly by flood and it also took a soul from me.  The flood in my region had a big change in me.  i had to relocate to whole new ecosystem for a fresh start but notwithstanding we are still kicking and am hoping to achieve all my goals this year.

2714  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The high increase of insecurities in Nigeria, how do we combat this? on: December 30, 2022, 03:05:19 PM
When the government fails to take care of the citizens, the citizens will go wild and not obey government laws. Naija problem of insecurity na corruption, if no corruption everything go dey move well, job go dey, politicians no go thief money come dey deceive us, and the jobs dem no go hide am cari give their children. Nepotism make Nigeria no fit go forward which be the major factor of corruption.

Nigeria no go fit tackle insecurity again o,make we no deceive ourselves, water don pass gari, because the all system of government dey so eaten by corruption wey be say them no go free let good man wey no dey like dem rule because them no say e go bring out their leg and maybe jail them or them no go fit benefit again from the national cake, but God pass them.

With the way wey things dey go for Niaja,I no see hope from any where so the only way to tackle insecurity na make Nigeria divide so that people fit start again do new government system and by then we go know whether the two different countries no go do well. The fucking truth is that Nigeria is too big for one man to control since the whole system is messed up from 1960 till date.

Happy New Year... 2023....loading.... 75%
My broda we all understand the dip shit wey nigeria dey when its come this insecurity mata but dat one no ever mean say we no go fit tackle am again. My one reason to this insecurity mata na like you have already stated say na corruption and na the whole truth be that because is core chain to so many issues wey dey happen for this country.

Unemployment is another branch of this insecurity mata and this also caused by the corruptive mind of our leaders wey don refuse to spread the rate of employment around this our country and this has lead many people especially the youths to go into different illegal things and business as a means of survival.

Person wey no get work or the system dey condition  am go also strive for a way to survive na and in so doing actually condition himself to commit crimes such arm robbery or kidnapping to get money for his survival so nigerian leaders na the real cause of the insecurities in the country.

But brother i still we can grow out of this situation and become better its only a matter of time because with time all her deep wounds will eventually heal up with the right medicine.

I pray we all make the right choice next year because we can't continue like this again.
Nigerians making the right choice no be even the problem because even if we make the right choice and vote who we want to vote how are we sure that these politicians won't just rig the whole election like they have always done.

A similar case happened in my state whereas for the first time everyone came out and voted the candidate of their choice with their whole heart some voters even refused to take the money giving to them by other party and voted who was in their mind. Their candidate did  win election but just a day to his swearing in as the new governor the whole situation changed and the masterminds at the top who plot everything turn the whole situation around and the news left so many people sad and promised not to vote again as their vote dont even count.

The whole system should just change if we really want to get it right.
2717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 29, 2022, 06:31:08 PM
Look at Haaland, he is young, only 22 years old but he has scored 181 goals, nearly 200 goals. Will Haaland scores enough 1000 goals before his retirement?

Mbappe is 24 years old but has only 222 goals, not too much more than Haaland.

Unfortunately, keeping a high pace throughout your career is much rarer than being mega good at something at the start or for several years. It is clear that even scoring 50 goals per season, Mbappe and Haaland will approach all possible records in just the next 10 years and will try to surpass them in subsequent years, but this is not as easy as it seems. Mbappé had probably the best year of his career (2022) and scored 56 goals in 56 games. Will he be able to spend every year at this level? This also applies to Haaland.
Haaland and mbappe are no doubt Wonderful players and have started cooking up something very nice at their early age of football. The two are currently going to be dominating the football world and competing for the baloon dior for the next 5-7 years because as it is now I Dont think their is any other players who can challenge this two.

Messi is at the brink of almost retirement, he has maybe two or three years to play likewise his counterpart c.ronaldo but when its comes to consistency in player performance these two players are perfect example. The two players have have been at top for almost ten years and in those ten years have been always scoring. I hope mbappe and haland can be like  this two players and entertain the world of football as they did.
2718  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam alert project @ Zugacoin on: December 29, 2022, 03:00:55 AM
I am aware of such coin zuga, because i saw one their poster and shop around in my area back earlier last year and i was even surprised to even here people preaching about this coin but never really showed any attention about it but  people actually know about this coin very well in my area and coming to see here that its a scam really adds up because the promises i have hearing people  say about this coin is really mouth watering, promises like you investing certain amount in a short period then you get double or triple of what you invested. Am just glad i never really crossed part with such fraudulent firms or company. Thanks for the update sha and my brother and sister dem abeg make we try deh very careful from all the nonsense investments platform dem
2719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 07:42:27 PM
In any case, Newcastle did what it had to do and that is to win. Tonight City will play against Leeds United, I don't expect too many problems there. Nice that Newcastle is now 2nd, although it must be said that that is mainly because they have played 2 more games. But then again, even if City were to win, 3rd is still very deserving. It will take some getting used to for many City players, most of them have had a bad World Cup after England's elimination against France. They can try to take revenge, but it is also possible that they play this match with an annoying and still disappointed feeling.

Today fixture between leeds and Manchester City would be a goal fest for the men in blue, I don't think leeds united have the players and defenders to withstand the attacking force of Manchester city.

Newcastle no doubt have shocked everyone in the league by performing brilliantly and their brilliance has lead them to seat on the second spot of the table but only because Manchester City are still having some outstanding matches and i think Newcastle second position is just temporary and with the current heat of the league i would just say they might finish in the top four but thats only if they continue with this current winning form.
2720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 08:04:52 AM
Manchester city VS Needs united will not going to be a tough match, because we saw what happened in the first match that made Manchester united, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal to achieved their three points from their matches, which Manchester city will definitely achieve three points to increase their points in this match. Need can struggle to achieve single goal but they cannot stop Manchester city not to achieve victory from this match, because Haaland will definitely achieve three goals from this first match after FIFA world cup to make their fans happy.
The Man City vs Leeds United game should be a plus one for Man City, but I do not like to be too relaxed in football like you portray it here. Anything could happen in football, so it should not be as if the opponent is totally useless. And the word "Definitely" you used for Haaland seems like he is a god that knows exactly what he would achieve in the game. This is too much for a mortal man. Man City is my preference to win too, but your expectation seems too high.
Well i guess i would say its normal for a football fan to actually speak so highly of his club and have a total 100% believe in his team winning the game but sometimes the results actually turns out differently. But for the case of Manchester city and leeds united game it Normal that we all have such feeling towards the game as Manchester City are far better than leeds are currently in a very good form, but i think no actually knows how many goals haaland would score but i think he might grab a goal or two against leeds united.
