Did you say it's autorebablanced? Id scrap that tbh as it feels like you could make a loss of everything if only one of those coins keeps dumping hard?

I'd advise leaving you're stuff as it is if you're committed to dcaing and you think bitcoin is fundamentally bullish long term. If you don't then that's obviously different and I'd suggest just buying dips instead. The problem with a crash everyone expects is that it might come, but it might not. We could crash from 50k to 30k in a flash and get back up before you notice (if you don't want to actively monitor it). ..
2702  Other / Meta / Re: How many times can I change my account password? on: January 10, 2021, 01:44:06 PM
It probably isn't limited the number of times you can change your wapssword. The admin team. Might investigate it though if it looks too much and nuke you (eg before you end up filling the seclog with yourself too much).
2703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any way to recover my lost Bitcoin? (due to android key rotation) on: January 10, 2021, 01:24:39 AM
If you got rid of the phone entirely then it'll probably be impossible to recover it now. There'd have Ben a small chance if you kept it bu there's probably no point dwelling on that now.
2704  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Balance: 0 after private key import on: January 10, 2021, 12:10:42 AM
Do you know if its your address you see in the addresses tab?

I'm thinking it's likely you've imported the wrong type of address.

According to the link I'll put at the bottom of the screen you might want to add lines of:
p2pkh:private key
p2wpkh-p2sh:private key
p2wpkh:private key

And see if this improves anything once it connects.

2705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low transaction fees on: January 09, 2021, 03:02:33 PM
10 sats per byte is VERY low. I'd wait 72 hours to see if it confirms if I were you and then try to bump it (if you enabled rbf or if you own the address it was sent to or know who does)?
2706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading have an advantage over investing?? on: January 09, 2021, 01:08:11 PM
Depends on if you're good at trading or not. If not then no you can make a loss too and more people might make a loss than a gain unless you're doing some "proper" analysis of what you're doing.

Investing is essentially slow trading so I'd start with that and see how you do (eg pick an altcoin to put a small investment in and see how it does - then repeat if it profits).
2707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Phoenix mining worked fine until I updated Nvidia Drivers now Access Denied? on: January 09, 2021, 02:37:13 AM
Have you searched the specific error online?

Have you tried to run the miner as an administrator/superuser? Can you clarify what OS you're using (Windows, Linux, or mac).

If you're on Windows you can also look at uninstalling a driver without removing it and then it'll reinstall itself fresh on the next restart.
2708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do we do with finance? (Taxation and Taxes on Bitcoin) on: January 09, 2021, 02:23:50 AM
Yes you have to pay tax. Depending on what country you're in and what they see bitcoin and Cryptocurrency as will determine what rate you ay. Most likely it'll be some sort of capital gains tax if you invest and sell at a higher price or earn and sell at a higher price.
2709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electrum Wallet Help Recovery will pay BTC on: January 09, 2021, 02:17:51 AM
Why do you have 2 seeds?

When you go to recover your wallet and put in the seed in electrum what does it say?

Do you have your original 2fa wallet with a balance on it? If so you might be able to just send an email to trusted coin with the email address you used to sign up for the 2fa.

I have two seeds because I was sending BTC between them for some reason lol. The wallets are popping up when I put the seeds in, but there is no transaction history or balance. I do not have the original 2fa wallet, but I do have what appear to be the seeds. Unsure on email used with Electrum or if I just downloaded it directly to desktop

You have to use an email to set up 2fa.

I mean if you go to recover your wallet (file>new) and put in your mnemonic then what seed type comes up before hitting next on the input screen. How certain are you the wallet you're trying to recover is 2fa and not a 2of2 multisig with each seed consigning. You might want to irradicate that as an option which can be done if you work out the seed type to determine if it is 2fa.

2711  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you're bad at trading crypto, forex might be easier on: January 09, 2021, 01:34:20 AM
I think this is a bad idea lol; forex trading is more complex than crypto currency trading so for you to delve into forex trading you need to first understand how crypto currency trading works and its interpretation be it technical analysis or fundamentals analysis; so that you can have a smooth transition.

But it's so much easier if you're used to crypto trading already was my main point. It's just an alternative that seems to be easier (for me).

What I like is that in Forex it has consolidated volume, which is essential when it comes to taking into account for trading, it is always good to have a type of diversification in terms of trading, it is always interesting to try new markets.

Yes! This!

Diversifying is always the key to investing with a lower overall risk.

forex and stocks traders myself

Also about market availability, nothing beats out that 24/7 than on 5 days a week in forex. They do close up markets!

I think my forex market is 24x5 which is decent enough.
Also stocks require a lot of fa with them as well, a lot of ta stuff doesn't work fully on its own without a check to see what recent news is doing for a company.
2712  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Sweeping paper wallet to Electrum Trezor wallet on: January 09, 2021, 01:04:23 AM
1. Protocols can be mixed in electrum so yes that's fine to sweep it
2. If you're planning on using thee trezor online wallet (wallet.trezor.io) then you're better off using nested segwit. If not it doesn't matter but native segwit has slightly lower fees.
3. No you don't have to because you're looking to restore a "1"type address correct? (address beginning with a 1).
4. If you use a high feethen he's the funds will appear in your wallet as unconfirmed and then take 10-60 minutes to confirm. Once you see a 1/6th of the circle shaded your transaction has one confirmation. Confirmations are client independent so 6 confirmations may be enough for binance but one or two is enough for sweeping your paper to yourself to assume the transaction is confirmed.
5. Yes it would so long as you checked your hologram and you trust trezor. The only way of attack would be while you're sweeping the key and that'll be hard to mitigate.
6. Yes you can transfer to and from the binance account but you have to bpay a fee for each transfer (should be pretty low).  If you have a large amount you want to send to binance I'd recommend doing a test transaction first with a smaller amount just to check it gets there fine.
2713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question about bitcoin mining on: January 09, 2021, 12:52:43 AM
Does this mean transactions might never get confirmed if the sender set the transaction fee too low? How does the sender know whether the transaction fee is too low? Will he be informed somehow? And how to pick a transaction fee that is the most cost-effective for a non-urgent transaction?

The wallet software you use will get suggestions for the price to pay for the fee for you. It's a best guess and nimrally based either on the past or the present.

When you send a transaction it gets sent to the "mempool" which is a pool of all the transactions nodes broadcast. This is sorted by fee by miners and the top 20mb are normally in for consideration by most nodes (I *think*) it's possible to bump the fee after the transaction is sent if you select "replace by fee" (rbf) in your wallet settings.

Past analysis by clients takes into account intervals of blocks in th past (normally ranging from 144 blocks - a day - to 2048 blocks - about 2 weeks).  Which can determine if fees are going up and the best fee for a confirmation within a certain timeframe.

And yes it's possible the fee can be too low to be mined and it's also possible for a fee to be too low to be broadcast across the network.
2714  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump bans Alipay and seven other Chinese apps on: January 08, 2021, 09:55:06 PM
Does Congress have to vote it in, has it already or is the US president just allowed to make laws like this?
I'm no expert on the US government or how exactly laws are passed, but I am a US citizen and I'm pretty sure Trump is just trying to pull a bunch of bullshit in his last days in office which Biden will likely reverse.  I wouldn't expect anything Trump signs between now and the 20th of this month to hold up for long, and I wouldn't worry about this news story in particular.

I imagine that might mean it's coming back to him saying he passed laws that Biden wants to repeal (if he runs again in the next election) as part of the start of his next campaign for banning a bunch of things and doing things that looks good now. Like how he wanted the stimulus checks to go up (from what I can tell). Although with Biden in charge there might be a chance European or Canadian systems are taken on for the rest of the pandemic.

It's possible Biden will pull it put if it wasn't on the advice of the security council (or whatever its called) but banning some Chinese companies from operating over there (it's just a like for like exchange) .
2716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question about bitcoin mining on: January 08, 2021, 08:10:02 PM
So they will mine the same series of transactions?

If they've been confirmed in the last block the no the miner will be sent a new Serie sof transactions.

Most miners all.mins the same transactions in a block though because btheyre wanting to mine transactions that pay a higher fee.
2717  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum and Import thoughts and question on: January 08, 2021, 08:04:50 PM
I should have mentioned these are bip39 because the keys came from a Trezor combined with Electrum.  I know I could not have gained access to the private keys using my Trezor, but I used an air gap machine with the Trezor restore seed to learn of the private keys using only Electrum.  There is NO compromise of my keys.

I can't remember if they use hardened addresses but I don't think they do so you're probably better off making a new identical wallet and just right clicking and "freezing" the other addresses -this doesn't affect their spend ability you'll still be able to spend them from the other wallet.
2718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question about bitcoin mining on: January 08, 2021, 07:58:02 PM
How does the bitcoin miner know whether the block it's mining contains transactions which are already confirmed and so stop trying to put them in the block it's mining?

They get a tip update of the blockchain when a new block is mined and accepted by the node they're connected to. They then reset the transactions they're using to mine with and get sent the new best block hash (current highest block hash) and a new series of transactions worth the most to confirm.
2719  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum and Import thoughts and question on: January 08, 2021, 07:44:40 PM
You can just right click on an address and select "spend from" to transfer the funds into a new wallet.

You can also right click all the other addresses and select the freeze option to stop those from being spent in your current wallet.

If you used the standard built in electrum mnemonic than I don't think it's possible to generate your master private from a few keys. I've seen it's possible in bip39 without using "hardened" keys.

Yes, I've been receiving email notifications that my Ethereum transfer is pending. I was just surprised to see my portfolio balance drop like that by the amount of Ethereum I had. I don't remember seeing it do that before. But maybe it's normal. Thanks for the reply.

It could've just been a system update too. As long as you have evidence of what you've done they can't really contest it anyway so you may as well just wait and see.
