Here's my pick.

Game: Boston vs Raptors.

I was looking at the stats and I was surprised that Boston has not won a game at home, they are 0-3 so far. Therefore I like to back them tonight to win against the Raptors who are 4-0 on the road. I expect an effort of Boston to get their first home win and hopefully, they'll cover the spread.

Bet : BOSTON -3
2702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 08, 2021, 09:39:34 PM
Here's my pick again, gotta bounce back from a lose.

Game : Bulls vs Nets.

I guess a team that loses twice in a row already is about to bounce back against the best team in the East. The Nets played last night and it's a back to back game, so I have a feeling that the fresh bulls will win this game to stop their losing streak, so I trust the home team here to win and cover.

My pick : BULLS -1.5

This is a tough choice man but I'm riding it.

The bulls need to win this game, they will be in a 3 losing streak if they would lose and that's not good for them as they have a good start. They lose against the 76ers twice, but this is a different opponent, a much better team compared to the 76ers so it's a good test for them if they could really compete and be in the playoffs.

Yup, tough choice but I like @stadus reasoning, plus the Bulls are going to play in their home court, so I think that's a big advantage though. They really have to prove something here that they are for real and not a fluke.

And as you can see in this game, the Bulls are the favourite: Chicago ML: 1.83, Brooklyn: 2.03.

The odds probably move as it's already 1.78 now, and to get decent odds, I need to adjust on the spread by betting -2.5 for Bulls, I guess that not be a problem if they will really win this game as most of their wins are in high margin, so it's worth to take the risk.

Their last two wins against the Boston and Jazz are won by a double-digit margin.

@boston 128-114
vs utah 107-99

That's good for the Bulls, the line movement means bookies are confident that the Bulls will win tonight, but it's just my speculation though, I could be wrong and we will lose this bet. Anyway, good luck and enjoy this game as it's probably another playoff scenario that we are witnessing early. I'm glad I put my beat early but -2.5 is still good for me.

For MVP candidate, never miss Caruso LOL! Well, tbh I guess on the likes of Durant, Jokic, Giannis, Curry, are in that race.

IMO, Durant should be in the top 1 now being a contender in the MVP race, he is very efficient and he can make at least 30 points per game without a problem. Giannis and Jokic, they are not so consistent yet, their teams struggles a bit but Durant keeps winning for his team and getting good numbers.

Yeah, who wouldn't missed Durant in the top 3 of the MVP race for this year? I don't think that Jokic can do back to back, his Denver Nuggets is not the same as last year.

As for Wiggins, he is still part of the GSW, not sure why the discussion of him being traded. His points might be down a bit from last year, but still the same Wiggins for me. It's that Jordan Poole is now the new player in GSW as the second best scorer.

Wiggins will take the shoe of Livingston, no longer the first option but very useful coming out from the bench.

With the way GSW is performing right now, with the comeback of Klay minutes for Wiggins will be limited, Poole is really showcasing his talent and together with all the sophomores, they are bringing good hype for the team.

Whoever coach Kerr is bringing inside the court, all are performing their respective role.

I know Wiggins is a scorer, but he needs to adjust and continue to help the team in whatever addition he can provide.

If he will only be limited or will not be maximized well, then he does not deserve a huge salary. Once a player is paid with a huge amount, they should showcase their talents and that is giving them enough minutes, if they can't keep the expectation then they might get traded. For the case of Wiggins, he is ranked number 27 in the 2021-2022 Player Salaries with $31,579,390 salary this season, so it's expected that this season we will see an improvement from him.

The trade talk is not new involving Wiggins as we saw some articles written about a possible trade of Wiggins and Simmons, and probably to other potential trades as well.
2704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: November 08, 2021, 08:16:11 PM
It will be regulated but not directly because only a 3rd party financial institution which is centralized can be regulated, when we see regulation, that means the essence of decentralization will not be completely enjoyed because once we use it through exchanges and other similar institutions, we have to comply with the basic requirement like the banks are imposing which is the KYC.
2705  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] If this happens, is it time to sell your Bitcoin? on: November 08, 2021, 01:24:00 PM
I'm selling because it's a great opportunity to make a good profit, besides, I believe that the market will not go uptrend for so long, just like in the past, we will experience a major correction that would likely result in some heavy dumps. I follow the trend, a very simple strategy of mind that I find useful and effective until now.

It is always buy the dip, sell the peak and $100k is a peak for a short period fo time.

2707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: November 08, 2021, 08:18:53 AM

Great, Lomachenko is back again for another fight this year. I thought he will rest until the end of this year after winning against Nakatani. So, I would say they are both getting ready to get revenge since they are both defeated against Lopez in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
But before that fight will happen, one of them should be held winner to advance and get revenge against Teofimo Lopez.

RC Commey has the height and reach advantage and yes a decent fighter too,  but on this match I don't think that he can beat Loma's timing techniques, speed and strength. Sadly, Commey will just be a stepping stone for Loma since Loma is really looking forward revenge his defeat against Lopez.

Loma certainly has the edge here, in fact, AFAIR, there's no fight of his that he was an underdog, he always gets listed as the favorite to win, just like this fight. After he lose against Teofimo Lopez, I'm sure he trained harder to continue achieving his dream, and maybe one day he would become an undisputed champion in his division like Canelo had recently achieved.
2708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 08, 2021, 08:05:09 AM
My pick for tonight's game.

game: Jazz vs Magic.

Magic is 2-8 this season with no home win yet, so I don't trust them to win against the Jazz that are bound to bounce back tonight.
Mitchell had some pretty good game against the Heat and I hope he won't get tried and dominate the Magic for a win, I'm also thinking that maybe Clarkson would explode in this game after a bad game against the Heat.

Therefore my pick is Jazz -12.

The Jazz were caught cold out napping in the first and fourth quarter and Magic really made them pay!

Cole Anthony was in a beast mode today, with season-high 33 points, 5 3pts at 50% and 65% FG rate...

Maybe that back to back game really made them tired, I didn't expect they won't play hard in the 4th quarter and just give up their good lead like that. This is just one of those bad days where you expect a win because you are seeing your team having a comfortable lead but things did not go right in the last quarter, more like a LA team sort of thing.  And by the way, Clarkson struggles continues.
2709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron (TRX) Discussion on: November 07, 2021, 09:53:15 PM
tron did make me disappointed after invested on it  cause i use to think, tron is good altcoin . Its last ath was on 2017 but where every altcoins hit their peak in this year but Only tron & its version 4.0  is sleeping on the same position. Even trc20 tokens badly flopped. Eth may being hated by its user for fee issue but eth is eth, which will always better than tron. Tron could be use for minimize fee, nothing else. I lost interest on tron
you are not the only one who is disappointed because you guys have high hopes for this project. You are investing because you were attracted when it was pumped in 2017 where we know it's the bull run period, I guess we realized now that hype coins are usually pumped during the bull run but would struggle in a regular season.

I did hold TRON back then as well but sold it already because I feel my holding takes too long compared to other assets that gave me a significant profit already, but that's how it is, we can never make a profit on everything we hold and time will come we have to decide to sell to look for a new potential coin.
2710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 07, 2021, 09:25:13 PM
Nets on the road against the Raptors. Toronto is a very tough team specially in their home court. Not sure though if this is Siakam comeback game? First time to see him play again.
I believe it's his first game of the season, and he is coming back but don't know if this would help the team or they'll have some problem with the chemistry since it's his first game.

https://nba.nbcsports.com/2021/11/06/pascal-siakam-to-return-to-raptors-lineup-sunday-against-nets/

Durant will really have to play solid offence against this team. I'm not discounting the fact that they can pull an upset win here today.
Siakam is good but not as special as Durant, anyone can guard him actually so I would not worry about that, instead, it's the Raptors should be worried on how they'll at least limit Durant who plays really well this season.

2712  Other / Off-topic / Re: Deron Williams to fight in an undercard on Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul fight. on: November 07, 2021, 01:02:14 PM
I am a big fan of NBA and a big fan of Deron Williams as well, so even if I don't really support exhibition fights but I will not miss the opportunity to see him fight as I've never seen him fight before, this is the first time and I expect a surprise in a positive way, like he would win the fight.

Though his opponent is not yet announced, here's the rumor now.

The Deron Williams vs. Frank Gore boxing match could be legit if it happens
Quote
The sight of an NBA player competing in the boxing ring is becoming more and more common. Nate Robinson famously got knocked out by Jake Paul. Lamar Odom fought Aaron Carter (yes, that one). Kendall Gill turned pro in boxing shortly after his retirement, and has been looking for a bout against Paul himself.

Deron Williams is the next former NBA star to enter the squared circle. The three-time All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist is going to fight as part of the undercard for Paul’s bout against Tommy Fury, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Williams is still looking for an opponent, and Charania mentions NFL Hall of Fame-bound running back Frank Gore as a possibility.

Edit: On the Mavs side: Luka! Not again!!!  Cheesy
He made it again, that step back 3 point shot looks effortless.

Yeah, but for those who have a -3.5 bet on the Mavs, he shouldn't take it and win. At least force OT and then win by 4 points.  Grin
Lol, you really think like a gambler, not on a sure win of the team, you wish that it will reach to OT so your bet has a chance to hit. Funny.

Actually, I can't help but watch that reply on how he was able to do it, I remember the last time he had a game-winner was in the past playoffs against the Clippers and I think it was his first time in the playoffs. As a top favorite to win an MVP award this season, I think he can still improve his game as his average now is lower compared to the last two seasons.

He is the odds favourite to win the regular finals for this year. Congrats as well to KP, seems to play very aggressive in this game. And this is his comeback game if I'm not mistaken, and should be playing limited minutes. But he was so hot in the early part of the 4th quarter.

2714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 07, 2021, 02:28:52 AM
Here is the latest interview from Teofimo Lopez, fight will be on the 27th already:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bLE3_HZCj0

He said that he is going to massacre George Kambosos and will knock him out in round 1.

Really confident that he will going to finished Kambosos by a brutal knock out. Then he is talking about to move to 140 lbs so maybe we can't see him and Loma.

He has to do what he said, talking too much does not help at all, I know he is good but Kambasos is not an ordinary fighter that he could just toy in the ring. I guess it's telling me that Kambasos really have a good chance here, he is playing mind games hopefully Kambasos will not fall for that, and instead, he will work hard to dethrone Lopez who is underestimating his capability.

He is such a big mouth that sometimes when you listen to him, you get irritate with all the bruhaha coming from his mouth, self glorified boxer. If he wanted to be one of the greats in the 135 lbs division, he should wait for Loma, Davis, Haney and Ryan Garcia and clean the division up before moving to 140 lbs.

He is so confident as he hasn't experienced a defeat yet, beating Loma was actually the reason why he is more confident now but I guess Loma deserves a rematch because he is not fully healthy the last time they meet, and you are right if he is really strong, he should fight the names you've mentioned and prove to the world that he is the best by beating them.
2715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: November 07, 2021, 01:50:57 AM
The undercards are underway and for those who want to watch the live events here please check this link https://www.facebook.com/103314412143631/videos/665159587810274 I don't know if this is delayed or live but at least we can see the coming action between Caleb Plant and Canelo Alvarez I'm sure this fight will live up to our expectation.

Great share, at least it's free but just don't look at the comment so you'll not spoil the fun as this could be a delayed telecast. I guess they are up next, so we can finally see how Plant would respond to the attack of Canelo. Last call for those who haven't placed their bet yet, bet now! Smiley

edit : my bad, they are not yet next.
2716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 06, 2021, 09:44:53 PM
My pick : TrailBlazers -4.5

Line has moved to -5.5 Blazers as the news came out.

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/lakers-could-be-without-lebron-james-anthony-davis-vs-blazers/

Lakers might not have Lebron James and Anthony Davis tonight so that -5.5 is still manageable.
Also, don't forget to put a player prop on Westbrook as he might explode with a triple-double again.
2717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gabling prohibited in some countries on: November 06, 2021, 09:03:13 PM
Maybe start with correcting your thread title, you misspelled gambling to gabling.

Well, the number 1 reason is the religious belief, in countries where the government is run by Muslims, they don't allow gambling as that is against their teaching, 2nd reason I know is the economic effect of gambling, if a country is poor or full of poverty, gambling may only add to the existing problem so they'll rather ban it as although it would help in the tax revenue increase but the overall effect is still not good for the economy.
2718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NO KYC Sportbooks? on: November 06, 2021, 08:40:36 PM
Even if the team decided to verify the owner of the account, the user can easily refuse to do so and ask for the deposit back if there is such a term on the user agreement. Just my 2 cents.

The user can do that and there's no choice for the gambling site but to return the deposit, however, isn't it unfair for the gamblers that he could not take his win because his account got flagged for suspicious activities just because he cannot comply with the KYC? I mean, they can fabricate stories just to make sure they'll not pay the gamblers and that's their advantage in this game since we choose to play anonymously.
2719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 06, 2021, 01:54:12 PM
Starting point is a big challenge when it comes to Investment. There are people who find it difficult to start up an investment because what they have is not large. Start your investment with the little you have it will go a long way.

Expectations to have something big to start maybe delayed. Do you know what point you would have reached if you had started with the little which you afford?

Even if I have a lot of money, I would still not start big in trading, not unless I'll master it and prove to myself that I could be profitable. Some of the problems newbies will experience are they are aggressive enough to start a big amount because they saw other people making good money in trading, well, that's a wrong mentality as not because you saw someone profitable enough, it would also happen to you automatically.

It requires patience, you learn from your mistakes and you grow from it until you become a successful trader, with going through this journey, you'll never be successful as there's no shortcut to success in trading.
2720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before getting into trading on: November 06, 2021, 01:18:56 PM
Is it really necessary to take a course before getting into trading?
Go to youtube university, you don't need to pay a dime, learn free trading techniques for free and you are good to go. I believe lots of traders just edecuate themselves and yet they are still successful, so just save the money you would use to enroll to learn and use it as your capital in trading.

In trading, experience is very important as it's your best teacher, and remember, you don't need to start big to trade, start a small amount and gradually increase as you feel confident and profitable with your venture.
