2701  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YouTube continues to ban crypto content on: April 04, 2020, 08:39:58 AM
I wish all these affected channels would move away from YouTube to a decentralized video platform and have success on it. YT is abusing their power way too much lately. Why was it needed to take monetization off ANY video related to the Coronavirus? Why was it needed to take down crypto channels and videos? Why is it needed to censor the videos they don't want us to see and show us only what they want?

They're so pathetic. I hope some revolutionary decentralised video platform will take off and steal YT channels away from Google.
2702  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: April Fools Day in Crypto industry on: April 04, 2020, 12:23:01 AM
Thanks for the mentioned but actually it wasn't planned or well planned per se (to be specific) since I couldn't get a signatures and avatar uploaded on the thread neither where there terms and conditions etc to make the thread look more authentic yet it still drew in a lot of audience mostly since the payout were very mouthwatering and all visible.

Thought about the prank minutes after I got infected with the forum viruse and had few minutes to come up with everything before I got on with my daily routines. I love the safety/prevention message I was able to pass across and glad no one took offense of the prank as everyone laughed. Also used the thread to spread some smerit love to all those that contributed in giving the thread more audience since it got many attention as more forum users were contributing (they must have thought, it was them applying for a slot).

I felt no offense, at least not on my side, besides a little disappointment that I don't get a chance to join one of the best paid sig campaigns out here!

To be honest, I was so sleepy when I found your thread that if you had posted rules and everything like a normal campaign, I would've most likely written a participation reply without even knowing it's the 1st of April Cheesy Don't worry, I can help you prank the forum next year but make sure you don't tell anyone Wink

2704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders need to learn on: April 03, 2020, 10:34:54 PM
Dunno if it's some psychological stuff or I simply don't have the luck and gift of being a trader, but no matter how confident I am, whenever I'm buying a coin the market goes bearish and whenever I sell it goes extremely bullish. It happens every single damn time so I just gave up trying. Like all my trading history from 2013 'till today is a history of missed trading moves.

My last investments are now worth less than half of the money I invested. I might just happen to be the unluckiest one out there and miss every single damn trade.
2705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinSoV (BSoV) Theoretical Mathematical Analysis on: April 03, 2020, 10:05:45 PM
For one moment, I thought this is about BSV. Never heard of BSoV before but if there's one thing I can say, it is the fact that the name was not the greatest choice considering all the crap going on with the infamous BShitV...

Pretty interesting concept, I've never seen a similar supply chart so this has drawn my attention. If the coin proves itself to add some significant value (not price-wise) to the cryptocurrency sphere, the deflationary feature of it could be a hit. If it doesn't, be it even a total supply of 100 BSoV.. it would most likely be worthless.

Will take a look later over the project. Smiley

EDIT: Okay, apparently I can't find much at all except for Medium articles, exchange listings that aren't even popular and token burning or timelock milestones.. nevermind. Thought it was an interesting idea to have a deflationary coin and it is, but with no development and having articles only it makes me see it as another plain shitcoin. Sorry to the supporters - no offense, that's my opinion.

I would love to actually see his every word debunked. So threads here will analyse and put to rest any lies he will spread.
Maybe it's time to fight the idiot monster, not lock him in the closet.

Use your time to do something useful. I've wasted enough of my own time to debunk his bullshit, don't waste yours too. Probably +50% of the words coming out of his mouth are plain BS.
2707  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline- Those close to their next rank (lacking Merits) on: April 03, 2020, 05:15:48 PM
Still I am not lucky enough. But one day I will be in your list.

Constructive posting, being helpful and writing non-repetitive ideas. Gets much easier if you're doing it for fun and not tryharding for merit. Write in the threads you're particularly interested into, share your knowledge with us in those and you'll get these merits in no time.

I've spent more than 25 minutes checking out profiles from the OP to help out some users close to rankup but it's so damn hard especially because the closest ones are non-English members.

Best thing I can do right now is help a few members get even closer to ranking up. For now, I've helped GDragon (1060206) get to 90 Merits. I'm under 20 sMerits and I don't want to get down to 0 right now. If someone else wants to help this member, feel free - he's 10 Merits away from a rankup now. Smiley
2708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Kiyosaki believes in Bitcoin on: April 03, 2020, 04:28:04 PM
Bill Gate been talking about bitcoin on every news channel in 2014 2015 2016
So? That doesn't mean Bill Gates owns and/or believes in Bitcoin or other decentralized cryptocurrencies. His corporation even accepted for a short while BTC, but then ask yourself why did they stop accepting it..

It is not just only Robert who believe in Bitcoin. Other billionaires like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump and Tesla also believe and hold bitcoin but will pretend to the public that they don't own any. Good thing that Robert is.making his public. The truth however is that even if they do not believe in bitcoin it will not stop bitcoin from being the utility cryptocurrency that it is.
When it comes to this subject, I don't think it makes sense to compare Kyiosaki to Bill Gates or Warren Buffet. Buffet and Gates are all in for multinationals and centralization while Kiyosaki calls the USD a scam. Just from the thought that Kiyosaki believes in BTC you can understand that he likes the idea of you being your own boss instead of having a superior. Being in control instead of being enslaved to the system and so on.

Incomparable.
2709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do Spreads Work? on: April 03, 2020, 04:15:41 PM
You can study the following article from investopedia: https://www.investopedia.com/trading/basics-of-the-bid-ask-spread/, I think it covers your needed answers. Investopedia is a great resource for gaining knowledge about trading stuff. You can also follow top traders on TradingView, they usually give good answers to the Why? and When? questions regarding the way a market looks. Smiley

That is rather easy to prevent; NEVER click ad search results Roll Eyes

Also, don't use google, don't use Google, don't use Chrome and... well, check the link and everything you download

They made it such a small difference between ads and normal results that it is likely you might accidentally click an ad instead of a wanted result. It's happened to me more than 5 times in the past few weeks..

I thought cryptocurrency ads were removed by Google? It's almost as if Google, Twitter (with their fake giveaways which ran for MONTHS without them doing anything about it) and all the other large corporations want us to fall victims to scams so we could lose trust in cryptocurrencies.. Oh wait, that's exactly what they want  Cheesy

I was just going to write a thread about this and then I thought I should first look whether someone has done it before me and apparently yes Cheesy

I'm honestly sorry to bump this thread again - I know there have been so many posts out here about CSW and I am sick of them just like you are. But I popped up the news about crypto and I found his blog post about this .. I think this is becoming too funny and idiotic already.

We've had CSW lie a gazillion times. We've had him forge documents in court. We've had him contradict himself X times. We've had him say Bitcoin forks stole his work and that BitcoinShitV is the real Satoshi vision, literally contradicting what Satoshi said Bitcoin should be. We've had enough, haven't we..? Well, apparently not.. CSW always has something to surprise us with Cheesy

I'm not even sure what the hell to say anymore about it.. Let's analyze just a very little bit this blog post because I first laughed but now it's giving me a huge headache..

Below, all quotes you see are taken from his own blog (archived).

First of all, he said that "The Wayback Machine is not perfect, far from it, and it can be gamed". Exactly after these words, he gives us a few Wayback Machine links. Moreover, just a few paragraphs under this quote, he says the following:

Quote
The migration was done in multiple steps. First came the move from the original subsite:

https://web.archive.org/web/20110401171747/http://bitcointalk.org/index.php; to a GitHub repository:

https://web.archive.org/web/20110923151638/http://bitcointalk.org/index.php.

It was then moved onto a completely new server:

https://web.archive.org/web/20110713083033/http://forum.bitcoin.org/.

Someone enlighten me. How do you say the Wayback Machine can be gamed and then show us "proof" of your own statements? If the Wayback Machine can be gamed, can't you "game it" to your own advantage, mr. Shit Wrong?

And now, going back to the first paragraph... "Satoshi (I) never used Bitcointalk." - Doesn't that mean that he has just proved we all have been right all this time and CSW is not our Satoshi? Cheesy
2714  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: Fake Trezor (geo-target) on: April 03, 2020, 02:24:45 PM
I did exactly what you wrote, but it doesn't seem like the ad is aimed at just one country, because I did not get any error - page is open quite normal for me in EU. I see that ad also without using google . hk, but only when turn off uBlock which, in conjunction with Firefox, successfully blocks such attempts.

The ad is not targeted only for HK. I am in Romania and can confirm the ad appears on my Search Results too.

Fuck Google and their crap. Stop supporting them and letting them collect your data. Move to DuckDuckGo when searching stuff and get some AdBlocker - you'll thank me later. Smiley
2715  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto trading (conversion) without exchanges trading platform on: April 03, 2020, 01:00:25 PM
No, it isn't made for transactions between two people.

I have done a lot of exchanges already using those services. Those services are big exchanges customers.

I have made swaps using some of those services and I have already received coins even from Binance to my wallet.

They are centralized services which charge a fee to make transactions for you. They are not p2p

Welcome to the era of false information. I'm still waiting for a gov to pop up and present their country's digital currency and compare it to BTC. I'm patiently waiting for it because I know they will do at least a subtle comparison of it with BTC or some other cryptocurrency.

I am wondering why these exchanges are allowed to present themselves as p2p or atomic-swap exchanges when they have absolutely zero relationship with any of the two? I've honestly almost been convinced months ago that Changelly is doing atomic swaps until I've done a bit more research.

Fuck them all with their bullshit, man..

EDIT: wanted to place a link here to Changelly's own words about themselves being an atomic swap exchange but I can't find any apparently. I am more than sure they've been advertised as atomic swap DEXs in some articles though..

EDIT 2: There you go. While not directly implying they're using atomic swaps, this article can give you the false impression of it.. Put this next to the fact that they advertise themselves on their homepage as "noncustodial" and here you have the perfect combo for a false impression of their exchange.
2716  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: April 03, 2020, 12:41:02 PM
~

Sounds great and all, but I wouldn't be too hyped for it. It sounds like a wet dream of mine where decentralization is the new trend, but I'm very afraid this is only a short term phase and what's coming next is worse than what we've had before the virus. As soon as everything (as in our rights at least) comes back to normal when the pandemic ends, it's gonna be okay.

But the longer the lockdowns and states of emergency will last, the more our authorities will get used to having much more power and control over us. Remember, it takes 21 days to break a habit and form a new one. This is gonna have long-lasting consequences in some areas of the world. Once they get used to the new kind of control & power over us, it's gonna be hella hard to let it go again.

I may be wrong and I hope I am. If everything goes back to normal and we're going to head towards a strong deglobalization wave, it's gonna be awesome... up to one point. Remember, the last time a deglobalization wave was pushed was years before WWI.
2717  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Beware]Toilet Paper Token Potential scam airdrop! on: April 03, 2020, 12:23:10 PM
It's obviously most likely just a scheme to collect tons of email addresses(most likely for malicious reasons), but who the hecks falls for a scam named Toilet Paper Token LOL. That's going to take maximum level carelessness and braindead-ness to fall for that.

No offense to those who've hoarded toilet papers but honestly I feel like they're the same persons who would fall for this scam..

I just thought a few hours ago about the token and the fact that someone surely will take advantage of the CMC April Fools day fake token to create a trendy scam. Ironically, the context of this token's name (as a joke for April Fools day) fits just right for the people who'll fall for its near future scam.

And here we have YoBit creating another shitcoin scam out of thin air...

Do people turn off their brain when they see airdrop? Even if i show this token to people who barely know about cryptocurrency, most likely they will think it's a joke or scam.

At least the google form doesn't ask secret information such as your ETH private key or mnemonic phrase.

I guess they do. Anyways, I bet more than 30% of these shitdrops members are kids under 15 trying to get some free bucks for their premium Minecraft accounts. The sad part comes when you know there are adults falling for it too. I guess this airdrop thing became way too toxic.
2718  Other / Meta / Re: Coronavirus / Covid-19 Word Counting on: April 03, 2020, 11:47:46 AM
Well the numbers does matter. How many are the coronavirus patients, how many recovered, how many deaths and how many words
in bitcointalk. The future is of data.

~

I mean... knowing statistics of the coronavirus infections, deaths and recoveries surely is very important data. But knowing how many times the word "Coronavirus" or "COVID-19" have ever appeared within the forum makes no sense imo.. Only if you count how many times I've mentioned it in my last 200 posts you'd probably have at least 30 mentions.

But you do you! I'm no judge here, was just wondering why these stats would be helpful in any manner.
2719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Satoshi theory? Deceased or alive & well on: April 03, 2020, 11:28:01 AM
I think if Satoshi  is not a covid19 victims and not one of those thousands of deaths then he is still Alive. Anyway our comments here is just an speculation and not a theory since it has no basis. Theories are base on some facts that can be a proof of evidence regarding his personality.

He's probably chilling on his own private island where there's no shadow of COVID-19.. Or even if he was to live in some urban area, he surely is protecting himself from it.

Unless he'd ever come back and prove he's the real one, all will be speculation only.
2720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto currency ready for next season??? on: April 03, 2020, 11:03:55 AM
I still doubt it. It's gonna turn bullish at one point but who the hell knows anymore when..? I honestly expect prices at any point to go into another horrific dump and trigger panic sells, I'm still only a spectator at a show waiting for the fireworks.

Even if prices go below support or above resistance, at this point literally any world news are changing its course in a matter of seconds. So don't expect it to follow the chart trends and if it ever has unexpected changes, go over some news channels and see if there's some news coming in affecting the price that way. Smiley
