2701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 21, 2020, 12:22:19 PM
CSK is paying for not taking good decsions on time and now most of players out of touch and they are not able to fight with some good and well balanced teams like DC MI and RCB as Kohli is also showing some good character in batting which helping them for staying at top recently KXIP fight back but sadly CSK completely out of touch.

CSK for more than a decade had a bunch of players who would regularly feature in their playing XI. I am talking about players such as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja.etc. When one or two players among this regular bunch becomes unavailable for the entire season, the team management struggles to find suitable replacements. And that's why they have performed so badly this time.
2702  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 21, 2020, 10:35:06 AM
There's no vaccine yet but there are countries that don't have any recent covid records these days. Despite the absence of the vaccine, they are still able to handle the covid situation in their country which means that its symptoms could be treated so I don't think we'll still be in a worse situation because of it. Things are getting quite better these days.

You are right. Some countries have done remarkably well to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 infection. For example, Vietnam is a huge country with a population of around 100 million. To this date, they have only around a thousand confirmed cases. Another example is that of Taiwan. They have reported only around 500 cases and 7 deaths. Now compare Taiwan to Peru (which is having a similar population). The total for Peru now stands at 874,000 cases and 34,000 deaths.
2703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 21, 2020, 10:25:07 AM
Now after very good three wins KXIP is hot favourite for qualifying in play off's becasue they have all remaining matches against struggling teams and they can beat them with this current form Gayle is also in good touch and remaining need to give some good effort for qualifying which is not far away from their reach.

They are a long way away from getting termed as "hot favorites". They have won three matches in a row and seems to be in good momentum. But they need to win all of their remaining matches in order to qualify for the payoffs. It is theoretically not impossible. But given that their matches are against strong teams such as SRH, KKR, RR and CSK, I am not that optimistic.
2704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2017/2018 Bullrun repeat in 2021? on: October 21, 2020, 06:24:06 AM
Every argument has two sides to it. Those who predict a bull run claim that it is due in the next 1-2 years. They claim that the current prices are lower than the fair valuation, and a spike was due after the block reward halving. But at the same time, there is a real chance of a bearish movement. A lot of people have accumulated BTC in 2020, expecting a bull run. In case this doesn't realize, then we may witness a massive dump. And this can take Bitcoin back to four-digit prices.
2705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I feel sorry for the EMIREX bounty hunters $20 for 9 months of waiting on: October 21, 2020, 06:14:53 AM
Bounty hunters will dump the token, because it is fast losing it's value and the exchange is not that popular I don't see any positive sign on why investors should buy this token, unfortunately, after they release the token and there is a dump I'm sure they will blame bounty hunters which should not and never the case because they invested their time and effort here they have the right to sell their share.

Again the same old excuse of imaginary "dumping" from the bounty hunters. At the most, the bounty hunters receive 1% or 2% of all the tokens. If they are able to crash the exchange rates with this many tokens, then the real issue lies with the project. If the project is a good one, then the exchange rate will not go down if 1% of the total supply is dumped. Also, if the team is so much worried about this, then they should make the payment in BTC rather than handing out the rewards in tokens.
2706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: the cheater bounty participants began to act again on: October 21, 2020, 05:15:10 AM
It is really unavoidable to have multiple accounts in a bounty especially if that bounty is legit and has a potential price because it is difficult to identify multiple account users or cheating in a bounty because the bounty manager needs to do a lot of research. to verify that it uses multiple accounts in an altcoins bounty or in the bitcoin bounty.

It is very difficult to prevent scams with social media bounty. I have seen instances where scammers were using 20-30 different accounts for the same campaign. You can't do much. If they are caught, then they will get banned from the campaign. But other than that, what we can do? Even if we manage to get their accounts pasted with red trust, they will just purchase another Bitcointalk account from the dark market.
2707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 21, 2020, 05:04:50 AM
Yesterday match between Kings IX vs Delhi Changers was awesome, the Nicolas Pooram has some serious gut strength. Gayle gave IX a strong boost which helped them to be ahead in the requirement of runs per ball.

KXIP lost a lot of their initial matches, because there was no one to score the required runs in case KL Rahul or Mayank Agarwal gets out. The inclusion of Chris Gayle has changed that scenario. The most important thing to note here is that he is scoring the runs at a good strike rate. With almost 9 runs needed per over, they can't afford to slow down when the wickets fall. Gayle and Pooran scored the runs at around 8-9 runs per over, and this gave the team a comfortable victory. BTW, Agarwal looks like he is out of form. KXIP can experiment with Rahul and Gayle as openers.
2708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏🏏 sportbet.one 🏏🏏 [IPL 2020] Prediction pool and discussion 🏏🏏 on: October 21, 2020, 04:45:27 AM
Shikhar has gone beyond expectation to be honest. I didn't think he will come back with such performance. He got some runs in most matches but not as expected as a opener. Here's his stats-
vs KXIP- 0(2)
vs CSK- 35(27)
vs SRH- 34(31)
vs KKR- 26(16)
vs RCB- 32(28)
vs RR- 5(4)
vs MI- 69(52)
vs RR- 57(33)
vs CSK- 101(58)
vs KXIP- 106(61)

You can't say this such bad although. He had bad strike rate at the beginning but in last few matches, his SR has totally changed. Well, he is now 2nd highest run scoree so far in this season.

It is a very surprising statistic. Shikhar Dhawan scored 106 from 61 balls (strike rate of 174) against the Kings XI Punjab. The remainign batsmen scored a total of 54 runs from 59 balls (strike rate of 90). The difference is so stark. Every other batsmen (Shaw/Pant/Stoinis) scored at less than one run a ball. During their last match also (vs CSK), it was similar. Shikhar scored 101 from 58, while the rest of the team (excluding extras) scored 80 from 62 balls. But in that match, the difference between Shikhar and the rest of the team was not this large.
2709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏🏏 sportbet.one 🏏🏏 [IPL 2020] Prediction pool and discussion 🏏🏏 on: October 20, 2020, 12:18:43 PM
There is solution for this, select pick before toss just don't lock. If you want to change after toss you can. I did that many times.

OK.. Let me try this. For this round, I have already locked all of my picks. Let me try this for the next round (Round 6). Normally, I make my picks 1-2 days before the match. But this time the toss is having such a big impact on the outcome, and if I can change my selection after the toss it may be a big help. But then the danger is that if somehow I miss to lock the selection, then it will automatically pick the default option.
2710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: October 20, 2020, 12:08:57 PM
Smart bounty hunters only limited to scams because scam project teams are very clever and constantly change their methods. The payment method Bitcoin or Ethereum every week instead of project tokens, it is the best way to prevent scammers.

This is a very old proposal. A lot of experienced bounty hunters demand that at least a small fraction of the bounty should be paid in either BTC or ETH, or even in USDT. But most of the bounty campaigns have rejected this proposal. The excuse being given is that, if the project team spends a lot of money on the bounty projects, then the development work will get stagnant. I never understood the logic in this claim. The bounty pool is around 0.5% to 1.5% of the total budget. If they make 10% of the bounty payment in ETH or BTC, then it may cost them just 0.05% to 0.15% of the entire pool.
2711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm scared of ethereum gas fee on: October 20, 2020, 11:49:15 AM
I don't think if some people willing to spend $2000 for just the gas fee and it's impossible to reach that high. Well don't be scared of the gas fee not all the time high, it will go lower anytime. Hopefully this gas problem will fix once eth 2.0 is release.

Oh no.. please don't say that ETH 2.0 is the solution for everything. We don't know much about ETH 2.0, and therefore a real chance exists that it may contain a few bugs and vulnerabilities. And in case what you are saying is true, I am interested to know how ETH 2.0 lowers the transaction/gas fee. I want to understand the mechanism and know whether it is viable in the long-term.
2712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏🏏 sportbet.one 🏏🏏 [IPL 2020] Prediction pool and discussion 🏏🏏 on: October 20, 2020, 11:28:04 AM
DC is favorite no doubt as they had some good performance so far, they have the best all rounder of this season- Marcus Stoinis. They have outstanding bowling like Rabada and Nortje. However, KXIP seems to be different in the last two matches with the inclusion of Chris Gayle although he is yet to show Gayleness. I will pick after toss, may be I will pick batting first.
There's a chance that Pant will play tonight. Well, without Pant and with Pant, Delhi is still the same in my opinion as we didn't see any extraordinary performance from Pant till now, same is Alex Carey.

I have posted this many times - DC is the most balanced team in this tournament. They have very good batsmen, all rounders, spinners and pacers. They have performed exceptionally till now, while the teams led by superstars such as MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are not doing that great.

BTW, is it possible to place the bet after we know who won the toss? I tried this once (by then the match had started), but Superbru will not allow me to pick the side. So for that match I had to settle with the default pick. If we can pick after the toss, then it will be great. Because toss is having such an impact on the outcome this time.
2713  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: October 20, 2020, 11:18:30 AM
Since this is a speculation forum, I will not argue with your title but t has been said gain and again that one thing or another will make BTC fall in price and none has come to past even with all the threat about regulation.

Anyone checking the latest exchange rates? BTC is almost at 12K, and we had around 15% increase in the exchange rate during the past 3-4 days. It had nothing to do with any of the vaccine-related research. More interestingly, the Bitcoin dominance is about to hit the 60% mark after many weeks (right now it is at 59.8%). From this, we can assume that the development of the vaccine is having zero impact on the exchange rates.

2714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 20, 2020, 11:04:30 AM
When have you heard BCCI not opposing and agreeing to everything that comes on their way. People from within BCCI should support the move, there are ex cricketer like Sachin Tendulkar who want cricket to be part of the Olympics and.there are many others too. It will happen you have to wait till 2028.

Sachin's view on cricket being part of the Olympics- https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.outlookindia.com/website/amp/sports-news-sachin-tendulkar-wants-cricket-in-olympics-even-if-in-a-shorter-format/324136

Sachin is a legendary cricketer and he cares a lot about the future of the game. Participating in Olympic Games is like the biggest dream for any sports personality. But for people such as N Srinivasan and Sharad Pawar, the priorities are different. They don't have any emotional attachment with the sport of cricket and they are in the board only for their own vested interests. So they don't really care whether the popularity and globalization of cricket takes a hit or not.
2715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 20, 2020, 10:50:05 AM
Yes, lower ranking nation would not agree with this proposal. They will play with higher ranking team and lose more matches. Again some higher ranking nation would not agree with this proposal too. Because they love to beat small teams.

I agree with the first part, but not with the second. The smaller boards such as SLCB and WICB would lose huge amounts of revenue if they are not allowed to play against the big three teams. But the big 3 teams are not gaining anything by playing against these sides. They will earn more revenue if they play against each other. And the argument that playing against weaker teams such as Zimbabwe is good for improving the statistics doesn't hold any ground. Because in the end it is the team performance which matters, and not individual stats.
2716  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 20, 2020, 10:40:40 AM
Stock prices doesn't necessarily reflect the economic performance of the country itself sometimes the prices of stocks are even not in its true value as it can always go overvalued or undervalued due to speculation and demand. Yes we can see that prices of stocks are recovering but when you look at the news you will see things related to unemployment, fiat currencies having high inflation, companies downsizing and even shutting down these things alone shows that the economy continually is getting hit by the pandemic.

Well.. stock index can't be the sole criteria for measuring the economic health, but it is among the most important parameters. But one of the disadvantages is that it doesn't take in to account the small and medium sized businesses which are not listed in any of the stock markets. The stock market indices should be taken along with other indices such as unemployment rate and GDP growth.
2717  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis will be new normal but its not bad on: October 20, 2020, 10:32:40 AM
I agree, the corona virus was very new during the first wave for every country. People didn't know what to expect and the countries where not prepared. Now with the second wave we see that hospitals and medical staff are much more prepared, that is why the death numbers are much lower. I hope in the long run we see the death rate of corona to be closer to the flu once we have vaccines and better medication available.

Agreed. Even in my country during the initial phases the doctors and other health workers didn't had access to protective equipment such as PPE kits. Now the situation has changed. Also equipment such as Oxygen cylinders and ventilators have become more readily available in the hospitals. Perhaps as a result of this the fatality rate has gone down in most of the countries.
2718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏🏏 sportbet.one 🏏🏏 [IPL 2020] Prediction pool and discussion 🏏🏏 on: October 20, 2020, 10:19:09 AM
Who is your favorite for today's match? King's XI Punjab has won two matches consecutively, but still I would assume that Delhi Capitals would win easily. But recent developments doesn't favor DC much. Rishabh Pant may not be able to play, and on the other hand KXIP middle order now looks strong thanks to the inclusion of Chris Gayle.  This time, both the teams have excellent depth bowling lineup. Nortje/Rabada for DC and Shami/Jordan for KXIP.

BTW, I just want to post some random stats related to the match. KL Rahul averages 9 with the bat against Axar Patel, while Mayank Agarwal averages 10 against Ravichandran Ashwin.
2719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: October 20, 2020, 05:18:06 AM
allowing bitcoin in any countries will help them to create new opportunity for their citizen to earn money, our government should not look bitcoin from investment side only. they must understand about technology that created by blockchain, developtment in blockchain will create new online job for every person in the world  , as developers , marketing team , bounty hunter and many others.when more people have job i am sure it will give positive impact to country.

Well.. I agree that the cryptocurrency sector provides passive employment to a huge number of people. But it is very difficult to make the politicians aware about cryptocurrency. In their eyes, cryptocurrency is a tool which is used by criminals for tax evasion and other illegal activities. Here in India, there were repeated attempts to legalize Bitcoin. But nothing has realized as of now, because of stiff opposition from certain sectors.
2720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think we have more bounty hunters now because of the pandemic on: October 20, 2020, 05:08:05 AM
I don't think that people who have lost their jobs will be much interested in bounty projects. They have expenses such as utility bills, rent, medicines.etc to take care of. So they will be looking for some job which pays fixed amount on time, even if the payment rate is low. I don't think that many will opt for bounty projects, where the rate of getting a payment is as low as 5%.
