2721  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 08:21:48 PM
Voted for yes, but also there should be "personal message" campaign along with it because of position of it.
Let's say if you're promoting an avatar which is not clear about product than you should write something about it to the below.

For instance that avatar you've showed is too colorful and I didn't pay attention to it much, also didn't try to read.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1022171.msg11063794#msg11063794
If you've written "dadice.com" under it as personal message, I would understand it better.
2722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BlockChain Help on: April 12, 2015, 08:15:21 PM
So far I've never waited this much for my feeless tx'es. I suggest you to rebroadcast your tx to the network. Because most of miners dropped your tx from their pools because of no fee. When you rebroadcast it they'll put it in their pools again.
here's a how to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524816.msg5822013#msg5822013

And also you should pay at least 1kb = 1000 sats for each tx, then it's included in a block in 1 hour tops.
2723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: factom transactions... on: April 12, 2015, 07:29:24 PM
Why didn't send me some dust too? Cry
I would pay 200 transaction fees with 50k satoshis...
Ps: I'm paying 1kb/1000 sats each and generally my each tx is ~226 byte and paying around 250 sats. 50k sats = 200 tx for me :/

Hi guyz, I've downloaded & installed Java8 x64 on win 8.1
Also windows nem installer from here: http://bob.nem.ninja/installer/ (installed)
But when I run the wallet, it doesn't start. What should I do?
wallet starts to work then it's killed.
here's a vid: https://vid.me/riLS
How can that be possible? How to avoid this?

I had the same problem. Fixed it like this;

Go to; http://bob.nem.ninja/

Download nis-ncc-0.6.26.zip
Unzip

Start runNCC.bat (wait a moment until it has started properly)
After waiting;
Start runNIS.bat (wait a moment until it has started properly)
After waiting;
runMON.bat

This will start a browser with the NEM wallet.

At step Start runNCC.bat or Start runNIS.bat a pop-up will appear asking you for 'Allow connection'.

Ps. This is a one-time process. After that you can start the wallet like you try to do now.

Thanks a lot!
That worked fine for me, I'm syncing with the network now!
NIS info is not available yet. Trying to retrieve NIS info... (at block 13201)

Lately lots of ICO shitcoins are sold out so quick.
That's really shady. Who the hell buys shitcoins before they're public with obvious ICO shit?!.
2728  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-04-09] ING: Mobile app use sees emergence of cashless society on: April 10, 2015, 01:53:07 PM

9. Future of spending online? Digital currencies not seen as the answer
Bitcoin, launched in 2009, is arguably the most high-profile of several digital currencies that have existed. However, few people in Europe see digital currencies – such as bitcoin – as “the future of spending online”.

Of people in Europe, 72% either disagree with that statement or do not have an opinion about it, a slight drop from 76% from the ING International Survey on Mobile Banking 2014. Turkey, Italy, Spain and Poland are among the countries where acceptance is highest. These countries also have a higher share which say they have used bitcoin in the past 12 months.
 10. Media hype makes bitcoin attractive but awareness still low

Bitcoin is arguably the most high profile digital currency and has been the topic of media attention, academic studies and the term was even added to the Oxford Dictionaries Online in August 2013. Despite this, use and awareness of the decentralised cryptocurrency remains low among most people in Europe. When asked if they have used bitcoin in the past 12 months, 26% of people in Europe say they have not and 49% say they don’t know what bitcoin is. Only 4% in Europe say they have used it in the last year.

Turkey is home to the highest share who say they have used bitcoin in the past 12 months, followed jointly by the United States and Italy, then Poland and Spain. When asked why they had used it, answers varied. An Austrian man, aged 33, wrote: “I found it interesting to concern myself with it (was curious after there were media reports about it again and again).” An Italian woman, 29, had an app that uses bitcoin to recharge her mobile phone. A French man, 51, wrote: “I had to buy things on the dark net.” A Dutch man, 74, received it as a gift. When others were asked why they did not use bitcoin, responses included an Australian woman, 69, who wrote, “I have heard bad publicity about it” and an American man, 30, who noted, “I have no idea how to access it”.

Full press release & survey results: http://www.ing.com/Newsroom/All-news/NW/Mobile-app-use-sees-emergence-of-cashless-society.htm

I'm shocked BTW, Turkey is the top of Bitcoin usage in Europe.
I think this result high because of cointellect scam. There were lots of people who joined this scam from Turkey, and learned about bitcoin/dogecoin...
2729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Born + PICS] Wife is pregnant, how to incorporate bitcoin into the process? on: April 10, 2015, 01:34:58 PM

2731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We just hit a new record of average monthly transactions per day on: April 09, 2015, 09:51:50 PM
I think that chart is meaningless by itself.
We need average transferred bitcoin daily chart & equivalent usd chart (of course bitcoin prices should be matched).

Let's say if there were 10k daily transaction, 20k bitcoin transaction and 1 mil $ transfer last year, and now 100k daily transaction, 30k bitcoin transaction and 0.75 mil $ transfer this year that means bitcoin loose power and less people uses it to transfer money...

As I said before, maybe dust transactions provided such ratio who knows?
2732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Traceable Are Bitcoin Wallet Addresses? on: April 09, 2015, 09:36:05 PM
If the sender uses a desktop/mobile client etc it's not possible.

But there's a catch. If you're using blockchain.info wallet and if you send bitcoin from that address you can see something like that on the transaction details; "Relayed by IP   Blockchain.info "
That means sender uses blockchain.info's wallet.
2733  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Would You Use a Bitcoin Debit Card? on: April 09, 2015, 10:23:12 AM
I don't use any kinda debit card issued by (especially*) mastercard or visa.
We're using bitcoin because of decentralization and those cards are kicking us back to central banks. What's the point that card? I'm not dependant only bitcoin. Of course I'm using my local currency, and I'm gonna use it (till bitcoin is accepted widely).

especially mastercard: As we know mastercard ceo's speech about bitcoin ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO4jHXjCXw8 ) . One day they can say something like that: "hey dudes I 've decided to terminate all bitcoin related service usages, If you got paid via an Exchange etc those money will not be transferred to you".
2734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statements that precede bitcoin poverty on: April 08, 2015, 09:34:01 PM

And any funds sent there will be 100% given to her in a special case as I said will be announced later because it's currently a sensitive subject. Smiley

2736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alternative cryptocurrency on: April 08, 2015, 09:20:26 PM
I think the most important thing is "more publicity".
I meet bitcoin with an altcoin (which is quite dead now).

But Dogecoin is still kicking alive and bringing lots of new people into bitcoin/crypto currency ecosystem.
2737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wife is pregnant, how to incorporate bitcoin into the process? on: April 08, 2015, 09:13:09 PM
My wife is being induced tomorrow at 6 am. I'll shortly reveal how I have brought bitcoin into the process Smiley.

Wish us luck!

Good luck dude! We would like to see your child's pics.

Ps: Un Turkey, We've a tradition. If a friend/family member etc has a newborn we gift a gold  (it's called quarter gold and weighs ~2 grams). http://www.altinfiyat.net/wp-content/ceyrek-altin.jpg

If you provide us a donation address we (at least I) can donate some bitcoin (better than gold) to your newborn!
2738  Economy / Services / Re: DaDice Signature Campaign - 'Da' BEST Yet | HIGHEST RATES! | JOIN THE FUN! on: April 08, 2015, 08:04:18 PM
They actually contacted me regarding me paying a higher rate.

Posting in competing campaign threads about your offer can be considered an invite.

I am considering starting a new thread now. Seriously.
Oh wait! According to bit-x campaign rules Marco is got paid whenever he posts here. If you ban him from Dadice's thread he won't be able to farm money on this topic Sad
That's sad, I feel sorry for you marco Sad
2739  Other / New forum software / Re: Short URLs for threads and posts on: April 07, 2015, 10:26:39 PM
Very nice idea.
I would like to suggest something if it's possbile.
Urls are redirected like this; li.nk/topicId/postId
Can those urls can be like this one too; li.nk/topicId/postOrderId (for instance; li.nk/topicId/123 = 123rd post of this topic).
If a message gets deleted this order thing won't work BTW Sad
2740  Other / Meta / Re: How to know User Thread? on: April 07, 2015, 12:50:08 PM
Normally SMF supports that feature but I'm not sure about SMF 1.1.19.
But a 3rd party application may be coded easily.
It works like that;
Get all user posts,
Eliminate all posts whose title starts with RE:
Check the post id on each topic to decide the first post or not.
Voila!

If I've free time I can code something like that.
