<- waits for Anonymous to hack Facebook.
OMG.  If anonymous can take down Sony, Facebook is a sitting duck!!!  I wouldn't be surprised to see a huge block of private user data to show up on torrent.
2727  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What percent of Bitcoins are used for unethical things on: July 11, 2011, 12:05:44 PM
Who cares?  Why does it matter?
Because polls are awesome.  As long as I get to vote on something, I'm in.
2728  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Miners with Rigs Question for you ! on: July 11, 2011, 12:00:23 PM
You would make more money in a smaller pool WHEN a DDOS hits!! Think about it, half the computers mining in the world go down all at once, but your systems stay running?  While everyone is switching over to an online pool, you would be mining at a much better rate!!

I'm down. Let's do it!
2729  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Don't Mine on an iMac! on: July 11, 2011, 11:47:45 AM
it is quite possible the gpu overheated and was permanently damaged.

best thing to do is not tell anyone what you did. Delete all signs of bitcoin off of the machine and then walk into your boss's office wit a puzzled look on your face "gee boss I dunno what happened"

Theres a good chance Apple care will fix the repair but they may try to weasel out of it if they knew you were bit mining with it.

This is what I did. The tech dept ended up having to replace the Mobo and video card, but was covered by Apple Care.

All-in-all, it ended up ok, but probably not worth the .5 BTC I made Tongue

At least you got a half bitcoin!  Don't spend it all in one place!
2730  Other / Meta / Re: RE: "Mt. Gox is OBSOLETE. STOP USING IT." on: July 11, 2011, 11:43:37 AM
It sucks how when the big trading sites take a DDOS or go offline, the BTC value drops instantly.  BTC will obviously be worth a fortune in the long run but I wish we could make it through 1 week without a disaster!

SO entertaining.

Win.
2732  Other / Off-topic / Re: New BitCoin Comic on: July 11, 2011, 11:39:35 AM
Here's a "bitcoin" comic for you guys. I've been pasting it in any thread where people are breathlessly commenting on the latest price ticker changes:

Just replace "a stock" with "bitcoins".

I love it!!
2733  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of honest traders. on: July 11, 2011, 11:37:09 AM
I started a forum with a buyer/seller feedback system, all forum threads for selling are non-editable and non-deletable so that when you paste the URL from the transaction to the feedback of a user, it will stay there on his account for everyone to see.  Easier than looking through dozens of pages of honest traders!!  Check it out!

All your images are showing as the dreaded ImageShack 'Domain Unregistered'.
You should definitely sort that out.

ok hosting all the images on the bravenet server.  try to save a little bandwidth and end up with errors i suppose.

2738  Economy / Goods / Bit-Coin-Trading.com on: July 09, 2011, 12:15:16 PM
Started a new forum called Bit-coin-trading.com.

It's a forum where people can buy and sell bitcoins off each other, but also has sections for every US state and Canadian province so that people can post things locally and could ask for bitcoins for their items.

I have a feedback system in place as well, to make trading much more secure.

Just started it yesterday so there arn't many members.  However, I encourage anyone to create an account!

Thank you!
2739  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: warning! Ebay deleting all bitcoin auctions.. on: July 08, 2011, 02:35:49 PM
Since paypal is ebay and ebay is paypal it was just a matter of time until they ban it Sad

new bit coin trading site:

www.bit-coin-trading.com
all i see is an empty forum?
Yeah, it's pretty empty at the moment.  Pretty much just set it up.  But the feedback system should make reputable sellers find responsible buyers outside of the normal trading sites.

Technically speaking, because the forum posts in the trade sections are locked, when you paste your post URL in a feedback for another user, everyone can see the positive trade.

If you wanted to trade a physical product for BTC, or BTC for physical product, this can be done here.  If the forum gets a ton of members, someone could post up things for sale in exchange for BTC.

Sign up!  Try it out?
2740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: warning! Ebay deleting all bitcoin auctions.. on: July 08, 2011, 02:31:57 PM
I think eBay is not really good place for selling bitcoins...
So it is quite normal to ban such things.
That's why bit-coin-trading.com is here to save the day.
