Well, Portugal did lose but they are still leading the group. They are in the first spot in the group with 17 points. Serbia also has 17 points but Portugal is ahead on goal difference. So I don't think that it using the last match will be off too much concern for Portugal. Also, the four-goal difference is coming in real big for Portugal.

I lost my bet on NYK vs the Hornets. NYK leads in the beginning, but as usual, the Hornets coming back in the middle of the 3rd and then takes over the 4th quarter. Won on Boston ML though, so it's 1/1 for me today:  That was a really really close bet on Boston ML,they got lucky in overtime to win the match against the Bucks. I had Over 211.5 points in this match so would have been pretty close if they didnt go into overtime,but thats a really nice win. NYK vs Hornets for me was an under bet they just gaved a big line on that match. |

Dani Alves is the first transfer target after Xavi took office in Barcelona. Alves, whom we watched with the Brazilian national team in the last Olympic games, has been known as the best right-back in the world for years. He could spend one last season at Barcelona before retiring. It would be a very logical move for Barcelona, which has financial difficulties. Both sides gain from this, win-win situation. It would be interesting to see ex-teammates at the same team again, which have manager and player roles now.
Dani Alves was my great defender back then but for now he is old and has reached 38 years whereas Xavi wants Dani Alves as main full back, I always question why Xavi wants Dani Alves whereas other easier players are better than the old one, maybe because there used to be a match between the two when they were still playing? I don't know if considering the financial problems, it really has to be economical, even though it's old but it might still be the right one for Xavi. I am also like you, not so sure about Xavi's decision to bring Dani Alves back to Barcelona, because Dani Alves is now very different from Dani Alves who brought Barcelona to win many trophies. Since moving to Sao Paulo I haven't seen how Dani Alves play, but at 38 years old, I think Dani Alves is not as fast as it used to be, there must be a decline in performance. But with Barcelona's financial crisis, I also can't blame Xavi's decision to bring Dani Alves back to Barcelona. Xavi had to think hard about how to strengthen the Barcelona squad without spending big money, one of the steps was to bring in Dani Alves. Hopefully Xavi's decision is correct, Dani Alves can contribute to Barcelona again. At least the positive thing with the joining of Dani Alves, this will establish good communication between Xavi and Dani Alves, because both of them used to be teammates. I think this is a really stupid move bringing Dani Alves back to Barcelona,he is just too old and Xavi is absolutly making a big mistake with this move. I know he wants an experience older player but Dani Alves is too old to play on this level. Barcelona does everything not to waste money i guess. |

Watched Murray match and I must say it looked like Sinner was the better player throughout the whole first set. Then he lost tie break and broke apart for a couple of games which was enough for Murray to use to his advantage. Also had a bet on Sinner, did not think Murray would be able to keep his level for the whole match. Next gen tournament is really fun to watch. No advantage/deuce, they are playing deciding point so it all goes quite fast. My top picks are Alcaraz and Korda, but as you said Alcaraz is the most complete player in this tournament and he is playing in great form so he should take it in the end. Murray had a big win against Sinner and when you expect from him to win the tournament he losses against an avg player like Paul and again Murray cannot reach the semifinal. For me on the next gen i think Alcaraz will win,he is for me the future number 1. He is the most complete young player on the tour |

Romania and Portugal destroyed my almost winning tickets with their boring 0:0 draws, and I didn't watch Portugal match but Romania had so many shots on goal and domination against Iceland but couldn't put the ball in the end. I don't know if Ronaldo was sleeping for Portugal or what I have followed statistics for Romania and they had really over 23+ shots against Iceland and couldnt score a single goal just disapointing,while Portugal was really bad against Ireland and didnt deserve even that draw,Ireland was much better in this match today |

The Ireland vs Portugal game tonight is an important game for Portugal in terms of taking the lead in the group. Because Serbia are one point ahead of them now but they have an additional game played too. If Portugal manage to beat their weak competitor, they will get two points ahead of Serbia by taking the lead. Ireland have won only one game in the group so far which was against Azerbaijan. They don't have any claim on even the second position so I don't expect them to resist Portugal much. Portugal beat them by 2-1 before and this time I expect a win by a bigger gap.
Portugal should avoid a draw trap otherwise I expect them to win today. Odds are way in favor of Portugal @1.3 comparing to @9.6 for Ireland! Azerbaijan - Luxembourg odds are competitive @2.6 - 2.9 respectively and obviously anyone could win that random game tho.. Fair play to Gerrard he didn't exactly pick the easiest team to manage in the Premier League. I'm still undecided whether I'd like him at Liverpool when Klopp leaves in 2024. I'd much rather Klopp sign on for longer no matter the options obviously, but if there's better options than Gerrard out there I'd like to go for them instead. Gerrard has taken the right step though, if he can prove himself in the Premier League, especially with a recovering Aston Villa that makes me optimistic post Klopp.
On the flip side, this could go wrong, and Gerrard might fall victim to the Lampard treatment. Though, I think he has mitigated that by not joining a bigger team, and starting with smaller steps. Unlike Arteta, and Frank Lamaprd who immediately joined their previous clubs they played for. I'm aware that Gerrard managed Rangers with great success, but I think the Premier League is quite a leap, and Aston Villa will be a tremendous undertaking as I think they've looked lack luster ever since losing Grealish to Manchester City.
Honestly Gerrard deserves a much better them then Aston Villa,he had an amazing results with Rangers winning them their first title after so many years.I hope one day he coaches Liverpool because he deserves it currently.Hopefully with Aston Villa he dosent terrible results but it will be a big challenge for him to coach them |

The competition for advancing to the World Cup is still going on very closely in the Group G:  Turkey are chasing Norway and Norway are trying to run away from them. They both won their last two games. And in four days, Turkey are going to play a home game against Gibraltar. And Norway are going to play a home game against Latvia. Turkey have a really easy task to do. Gibraltar are one of the most terrible teams of this tournament. They are not much different than San Marino. So Turkey should be able to demolish them. And when it comes to Norway, Haaland is still injured but Sorloth seems to be back. Latvia are another weak team in the group and I don't expect Norway to make a mistake here. Norway still has the advantage. They are 2 points ahead of Turkey, what means even though Norway achieves a tie against Latvia they will be able to score 18 points, that would be the same score of Turkey in case they win against Gibraltar. If that happens Norway will be still in second place taking the goal difference in consideration. The only problem for Norway on this scenario is that they still have a game against Netherlands, the most difficult team of the group, while Turkey will have to deal only with the weak Montenegro team. I think the fight for the second place will go to Norway or Netherlands.I think Turkey as how they are playing currently and how bad their form is i think that they cant even make a surprise to try and get that second place.For me this is only a fight between Netherlands and Norway for the first place of the group |

Next game we will have a partial answer. We will have Napoli Inter, now if Napoli will win we can assume a fight with Milan till the end but if they are going to draw or lose... I told you to wait until December to judge Napoli.  a game that is very dear to be missed, the match between Naples versus Inter Milan, although many want Napoli to beat Inter Milan, but I personally am very optimistic that Inter Milan can beat Napoli, if we look at the statistics between their two meetings, Inter Milan is clear better than napoli..
