2721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 31, 2022, 02:56:26 AM
Also, it's worth to say few words about qualifiers in other zones. Interesting things in Africa. After very long time Nigeria failed to reach World Cup, they were eliminated by Ghana.
Mane and his Senegal eliminated LFC teammate Salal and his Egypt after penalties. Salah missed penalty, while Mane scored decisive one.
Later tonight we have South America qualifiers. Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay already qualified. While Chile, Colombia and Peru still fighting for 5th place and playoff with team from AFC.

History repeated itself as Nigeria is always known to lose to Ghana, but I was expecting the match would end in Pk, I didn't even expect the away goal to still count until the game was coming to an end, and I somehow felt disappointed that they knew this all along and went and played a draw in Kumasi, they let the country down and made everyone sad, an event that ended in chaos for the fans.
I never anticipated the Egyptian king of all to miss a penalty, a big congratulations to Senegal. They did it in Afcon, let's see what they want to show the world in this World Cup.

2723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: March 31, 2022, 02:27:22 AM
The first objective of any investment you see is profit, why would anyone want to invest in bitcoin if they don't plan when to sell, you can't hold forever but that doesn't mean you have to liquidate all your holdings, there are points in life that you need funds to settle other areas of life when they don't want to opt for loans.
If I can have my way of purchasing a large amount of bitcoin, I would sell when it peak and buy back when there is fud, one of the perfect ways of getting some cash to settle other parts of life and bid more on bitcoin.
But there is something we are not discussing! If not that Microstrategy and financial institutions have now picked interest in bitcoin and digital assets, if bitcoin is struggling like the old days, many wouldn't believe it as revolutionary assets but all is fine, hold the little you can and sell some when the right time.
2724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: March 31, 2022, 01:58:55 AM
The dream of every successful businessman or woman is to have a good successor. you can not be in the light in which bitcoin has brought you to and allow your children to suffer because you failed to teach them the secret behind your wealth. Let your kids know that bitcoin is the surest way to financial freedom, teach them now that bitcoin is of more value than fiat currency, educate them about the importance of bitcoin to mankind, let them know that bitcoin has changed the economy of countries who saw the light in it and adopted it as a means of doing transactions.

Now that your kids are young and vibrant, be their tutor, ensure they are bitcoin oriented, save them from financial dependency, encourage them to rely on bitcoin instead of saving fiat currency that Depreciates now and then.

Our kids represent the leaders of tomorrow, let's teach them about bitcoin now that we can.

As a successful businessman, no matter your position, reputation, or wealth, it does not guarantee that your heir will want to be your successor, there are many successful businessmen and Legends who are still having difficulty convincing their children to take the steps they chose simply because they want to be their own path.
I'll rather teach them how to invest in bitcoin as an independent asset, how permissionless it is to send it, how viable and comfortable it is to be your own bank, and finally, there's nothing wrong with opening a bitcoin wallet for them at a younger age as a gift for the future sake, it's one of the best things parents can do to surprise their children when the time is right.
2725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: World Cup qualifiers.. on: March 29, 2022, 06:05:01 PM

The Super Eagles of Nigeria restores parity in the 22nd minutes through a penalty which was taken and scored by Williams Troost Ekong. It is now 1:1 apiece. I hope Nigeria continues to pile up pressure on the Ghanaians and not relent. Meanwhile, it is Senegal 1 and Egypt 0 in the other ongoing encounter. Both encounters are looking unpredictable as live matches go on.

I'm hoping Nigeria will continue to put pressure on them the way they did luckily with the penalty, or else it won't be funny seeing us out of the qualifiers and, more importantly, a big taint on Nigeria for failing to defeat Ghana when they came to our home.
I like the way Victor Osimhen really change the taste of the game even with his injury, I'm really hoping that goal he scored that was later off will be repeated before 90 minutes, I don't want us to go penalty because that thing fear me that we may loose to Ghana.

2727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 29, 2022, 02:24:04 AM
Man city till now premier Leaugue point table topper and number two Liverpool. If man city next next match will be draw to end and Liverpool next match will win then Liverpool will seat to table topper. I hope Leaugue title will win Liverpool. Liverpool played very well their last few matches.

You know one interesting thing about their next matches, the two 18th and 19th teams will be facing 1st and second teams on the table but I have confidence that Manchester city will likely struggle in the hands of Burnley than for Liverpool against Watford but even at that, if Liverpool manage to win Watford and Manchester city draw or lose to Burnley, they are just one 1 point away, they can easily make it back in their other games. The most anticipated match I will love to watch is the match between Man City against Liverpool.
2728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which sports are you placing bets on? on: March 29, 2022, 02:05:28 AM
Have you seen a confused player who is struggling to win back their losses on a hot seat before, they bet games they don't even have no knowledge about just because they want to get back some money back after they might have lost plenty of cash. I have bets but most on soccer and I don't quite stake much, it is just a few amounts I can let go with a few games and when they go as predicted, I repeat the same thing in the next games and when I lose, I a take a chill and I don't even listen to anyone advice or their reviews on how an event will go.
2729  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: March 29, 2022, 01:37:03 AM
I think promotion and RTP are two different things. Doing heavy marketing will only focus on bringing more and more players to the said Casino and bring awareness to the players or rather to people who have not used the casino in their life and even if they have, it may be that a kind of bonus will be offered for people while RTP is just a theoretical insight for players to guarantee their likelihood of winning whatever they wedge.
There are some Casino that offers an RTP and guess what, a lot of people still lose with their strategy, the reason why it is called gambling, it doesn't always give an assurance that you will always win.
2730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open source wallet that supports many altcoins available? on: March 27, 2022, 10:27:37 PM
A multi-chain open source wallet is uncommon, however, a single chain open source wallet is more common. There are a handful of Bitcoin wallets available if you want them, and if you only require Ethereum, Metamask will do the job and you can also use Metamask for other EVM compatible chains. Myetherwallet is another open source for Ethereum and other EVM.

I have however not heard about these yet so be careful. Open Source is not always secure.  Sadly enough, the best Cryptocurrency wallets with support for a lot of Altcoins turned from Open Source to Closed Source over time.  For what reasons is a debatable topic.

You may want to look at that again.
2731  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Mixer services be trusted? on: March 27, 2022, 12:35:21 PM
Can we just put aside the other worries and address the main problem? I want to believe Sending bitcoin (either Utxo that has been KYC or not) to a mixer is risky because even if you know a little about their protocols,  you don't have the associated private keys to your deposit and you risk losing your money but no one is discussing that which I'm having interest on.
If not for the fact that some Mixers claimed that they usually purge their logs, why trust a mixer that can be threatened just like an exchange? why not go through Coinjoin where you have access to your keys than a mixer that you have to trust about your privacy and custody of funds.

2732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I handle this? on: March 27, 2022, 12:00:09 PM
How do you go about showing people how to invest in crypto? What are your do and don't? I'm trying to avoid some negative vibes from people around but they thought I intentionally don't want to show them way, they can't handle the crypto pressure, they lack patience I know because we grow up together.

It depends on who you're attempting to persuade about cryptocurrency. You see, almost everyone, especially the online literates, has heard of Bitcoin at some point in their lives, but how they understand it differs, so in trying to encourage someone about Bitcoin as freedom and internet money, you must first understand the type of person you are trying to convince, as people have different perspectives on things.

Using myself as an example, my peer group of friends has this desire to do bitcoin because:
Group A has the full vibe that Bitcoin has gone from $3000 to $60000 in less than two years and they are inspired by such a move and all wants to try their luck by learning some basics against the next bull cycle.
Group B has heard that Bitcoin is a good money-making investment, but they don't know how to set up a regular wallet.
I don't care what you've heard about bitcoin, I'll tell you what you need to know, including how to avoid scams, security and privacy, general knowledge and how to buy and sell, but I will never make the mistake of assuring anyone that the price will double in the coming years. One of the practices of holding bitcoin is being patient and if you don't have it, stay with your physical business and paper money.
2733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This could be a dumb question pls go easy on me on: March 27, 2022, 11:21:02 AM
I want to understand something about crypto wallets

Open source or not, humans are the ones that created this wallets so what if one day crypto has insane value like BTC over 200k and ETH over 50k can't this tempt the wallet devs themselves to start stealing people's assets? Or we just create wallet address without them knowing what users keys or recovery seeds look like?

The Idea behind any open source software is that anyone with such a programing language can recheck every line of code and verify them should incase if there are some manipulations in the architecture that aren't open to the public. That is why you see their codes publicly display on the Github repository, even you can check those codes if you are a dev or programmer.

Your seed/recovery seed is independent of the developers, you have nothing to fear in an open-source but you should make sure that your software is up to date because there are times when bugs are reported and updates are carefully carried out on the latest release.
2734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 26, 2022, 10:00:25 PM
I also believe that Bayern Munich must be aware of the Villarreal threat. Because Villarreal surprised everyone by eliminating Juventus like that in the previous stage of the Champions League. They won the rematch by 3-0 and Juventus players were surprised by their performance a lot. Maybe Bayern Munich are way more capable when it comes to attacking and scoring than Juventus. But it would be safer for Bayern Munich to secure themselves by getting wins in each game. But I think the first leg will end up with a draw like 1-1. And Bayern Munich will be victorious in the rematch by at least two goals.

Check the record again, Villarreal is not match for Bayern Munich. I didn't see any surprise when Juventus lose to Villarreal, it was even expected because their first Home and away match, it ended with 1-1 and the ball possessions says everything about the match. Villarreal gave Juventus some tough play and their second match in Allianz was an opportunity for them and they took it by giving Juventus 3 goals.
I'm yet to see how Juventus won Bayern in a champions league, I think they will find it difficult to win Bayern Munich in this qualifiers.
2735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 26, 2022, 11:16:29 AM
In the last season, there were an Everton that finished the season at the tenth position. But now, they are really in a miserable condition. They are only three points above the relegation area at the moment. I really don't remember when they started to play this much horrible. They had a really good start to the season as far as I can remember now. But at some point, Everton started to perform poorly and I don't know why. It was like that a magic wand touched them and everything has started going badly for them. I hope they can manage to stay here.

If not for sponsors, tickets, jerseys and players, I would be happy if some clubs get scraps out of EP league, it's just as if they never exist in my eye. How some clubs keep playing leagues without qualifying for Europa group stage is annoying, I can't even be their fan  Grin Grin though, they are entertaining and very good for other teams to gather more points.
It's a good thing that laggers like Arsenal is still maintaining the top 4 spot so that they can change the history once again. Even if they don't make it to final stage of EPL, Europa league or qualifiers will likely be possible.

2736  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 25, 2022, 10:28:55 PM
A trader is different from a hodler, one hold for short period depending on the kind of position and assets you own at that particular and the other one is hodler who own his coins in an off-exchange, trading and living some substantial amount of your assets on an exchange for a long time is very risky. However, you don't have a choice but to live it on the exchange so that you can just buy and sell your desired cryptocurrency.
Talking about the fees, I think there are those whales who don't really care about those fees because they gain back from the trades they carried.
2737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Around The World on: March 25, 2022, 10:11:19 PM
Anyone with little graphics design knowledge will just cook some rough data and present it to the world and the representation is not even well organized, a bar chart would have been better with the numbers of populations.
By now, at least a single person knows what cryptocurrency is all about now in every country, thanks to the last bull run but the main goal is to let them use it, hold it and also buy and sell, it will not just bring popularity, it will be a revolutionary to everyone, especially my African continent.
2738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 25, 2022, 12:06:30 PM

Although it seems that choosing Liverpool in a bet against Manchester City is a risky thing, but I have more confidence that Liverpool will win this match even though in their first meeting this season the match ended in a draw.

Taking draw on this game because I know for sure that this is going to be an intense game as both teams wont be trying anything funny on this game. Both are going to be using their most solid lineup and strategy so it could be most likely ending up as a draw. Im not gonna lie but Liverpool is better and they'll probably win this one if it is in Anfield but its an away game for Liverpool

Top teams are one of the hardest predictions that are difficult to choose, who will think that PSG will lose to Real Madrid when many draw in that game and were all disappointed. Now, it's another one between Man City and Liverpool and it seems the upper guy didn't even bother to consider their previous matches and how it ended. I am rooting for Real Madrid for 2-1 against Liverpool because they wouldn't give up easily the first spot they have worked so hard for.
2739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto.com as Sponsor's for FIFA World Cup on: March 25, 2022, 11:20:17 AM
They can sponsor big events because they have a good standing and they are one of the industry giants by doing this they helped the industry get adopted, they picked the right events besides boxing and MMA, FIFA is the biggest sporting event and every four years and since football is the most popular sport it's a good opportunity to promote Cryptocurrency to millions of people, and also for people to know that a Cryptocurrency have the means to sponsor big events like this.

I've seen them sponsor Formula One racing to raise awareness about the exchange, and one of the drivers purposefully wrecked his F1 vehicle into the crypto.com banner to catch everyone's attention, which it did because all of the cameras were focused on that banner. I still have the GIF but it doesn't work in the forum. It is a good thing that crypto-related things are carried along in sport, I want to see Bitcoin displayed on TV screens the way they boldly shrink football and showed liquor ads and Visa.
