No. Learn the difference between total received and final balance.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4gy9dy/who_is_1fxqe2ixnnsb1kvwbmtwma5xq2bvbksq3f/
Im talking about this, everyone is talking about this address, imagine that it was your address.
Everyone who is talking about this (which is nothing special at all) is just wasting the time of everyone who reads this.

It's usually a big deal when 10% of any asset gets moved around the world. It's kind of hard to hide too.
10% of nothing has been moved.

Correct, I didn't mean to say current balance
Then edit the misleading title.

, but it's still a lot and as you see those addresses raise eyebrows and people speculate because we don't have enough privacy with Bitcoin yet.
Actually, we have enough privacy (albeit more wouldn't be bad either). Don't blame Bitcoin if you don't know how to use that privacy.

We don't have enough privacy, even the likes of Greg Maxwell have stated that we need to improve it thats why they are working hard in CT and coinjoin, so people can't see how much money is being moved which is what raises all those alarms and creates all those threads.
I mean im broke, but if I was rich, I would be annoyed that some people on the internet is speculating about my address moving X amount of BTC. That's not what p2p cash is and it says p2p cash in the whitepaper.
2722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Address with 1,885,514 BTC found!! on: April 29, 2016, 02:51:16 PM
What the fuck are you talking about?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4gy9dy/who_is_1fxqe2ixnnsb1kvwbmtwma5xq2bvbksq3f/

Im talking about this, everyone is talking about this address, imagine that it was your address. Bitcoin is shit when it comes to fungibility thats why we need confidential transactions and coinjoin so people don't speculate about other people's finance when they see big numbers.

https://blockchain.info/address/1FXqE2ixnnSB1kvwbMtWma5xQ2bVbkSq3f

Wow look at that shit! how much money is that? crazy. And the address doesn't stop receiving more and more coins! everyone is speculating already. Some people has been doing research and one theory is it may be a OKCOIN cold storage address, but why wouldn't they split accross other addresses to not create a millionaire address which always raises the eyebrows of curious people and in general? I mean it's pretty crazy.

The fact that there's a lot of people talking about this right now and investigating proves the quick need of Confidential Transactions and Coinjoin. Imagine if it was your business and everyone was speculating and researching on your money movements! Please Core devs give us more privacy soon!

That is OKCoin.com's wallet.

They only have 3,984 BTC in there atm, but 1.8 million has rolled around it.

Correct, I didn't mean to say current balance, but it's still a lot and as you see those addresses raise eyebrows and people speculate because we don't have enough privacy with Bitcoin yet.

2724  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: April 29, 2016, 02:17:46 PM
We are startin to see tons of use thanks to Steam already, so if we are only in 2016, imagine 5 years from now, it will be all over the place and everyone will be using it, it's just a matter of time that more and more people see the benefits.
2725  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500 at the beginning of May ? on: April 29, 2016, 01:45:49 PM
Close call, since the bull pressure is really hard and attempts to crash the price are failing, the price crashed to 420 hours ago and we are not at 452 and steady growing, we will soon crush the 470 peak of the other day and then we will go through the 500's psychological barrier in no time. After that, it's breaking the last ATH.
2726  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explain WHY bitcoin will be worth 1-3000 USD on: April 29, 2016, 01:33:38 PM
Easy, real price surge hasn't even begun. We are not even in teh double figures marketcap yet, we are at 7 billion marketcap roughly while services like uber are 50 billion, so do the fucking math. We aren't even started yet. We will reach 100 billion in the next 5 years and the price will be in the 5 figures.
2727  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: April 29, 2016, 12:55:19 PM
We can't because we are not whales. If all of us where whales here, then maybe we could make something about the price, but we don't make the price, others do, we only contribute in tiny amounts, due our small purchasing power (unless you are a whale, but there are not many whales in this forum as far as I know). The best you can do is buy and hold long term, price will inevitably keep going up in the long term.
2728  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 will be a boring year for bitcoin on: April 29, 2016, 12:53:49 PM
I don't understand how anyone that has any knowledge would have said this. Everyone knew that 2016 would be fantastic year for bitcoin, lots of technical improvements and a guaranteed price rise. Only the biggest FUDsters and in general idiots would think 2016 will not be a fantastic bitcoin year.
2729  Economy / Gambling / Re: We are working on the new games! on: April 28, 2016, 02:23:25 PM
I would love to see some high quality slots with multiple lines and good graphics. One of my favorite slot machines is the one over at bitcoinvideocasino but im a bit tired of playing always the same slot, so I would like an alternative that is good enough that makes me play on there instead of playing on bitcoinvideocasino everytime I feel like spinning some.
2730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling is Exploding on: April 28, 2016, 02:17:57 PM
I think that if a gambling business manages to establish itself and be consistent with a good service and no stories of getting hacked in the past, scams and so on, and they resist until Bitcoin becomes mainstream, all the people will gamble on those sites and the owners will become pioneers in the field and therefore millionaires. I think PrimeDice is on a good track to achieve that. I hope they do sig campaigns in the future again since they paid the highest ever.
2731  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will trigger the next bubble? on: April 28, 2016, 02:05:40 PM
1) Bitcoin Core fixes all the problems with segregated witness, lightning network, sidechains, schnorr signatures, confidential transactions, coinjoin... list goes on forever.

2) People in the game see that they are the best, consensus is reached again and Classic and all that FUDster crap goes to hell: consensus to continue Core Roadmap reached.

3) Halving.

4) Governments banning cash and agressive interest rates against people's holdings

Thats how you get rich by holding 20 BTC or more. Just wait for things to unfold and enjoy, it's that easy.
2732  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some predict rise to 500, others to 10,000, what is the truth? on: April 28, 2016, 02:03:03 PM
That is true that it is really good if you hold some BTC now instead of for example gold.
Whatelse, if you can predict shrt-term changes, you can earn some money on it easly.

The answer to your question is $4000/btc.

Where did you get it from ?  Roll Eyes

Common sense. Once Bitcoin prove that it can recover from what a lot of people thought it was a fatal crash (from 1200 back all the way down to 150 dollars as the last floor after the ATH) the psychological fear of 1000 which is by itself a classic psych fear number, is crossed, then ATH is crossed, FOMO will kick in and we will see a massive pump of the price of unfathomable highs. 4000 is simple a good guesstimation.
2733  Economy / Economics / Re: Modern Money in A Nutshell on: April 28, 2016, 01:54:29 PM
Is your story the confession of an elite American overlord, or the fantasy of someone who wasn't born into the private club?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-PSCqhkWhg

Believe it or not, there are people who actually aspire to joining the club.

The only way for things really to change is public awareness of how we don't really live under democracy and free markets.  Part of the imperial system is to numb people -- the more powerful, the more unearned benefits they receive, so it's in their interest not to know.  And this includes, to some degree, the entire population of the West, since they can at least elect their leaders.

The only reason why we now have half the American electorate choosing Trump or Sanders is that, after a severe financial crisis and four decades after the elites were forced to use totally fiat money, the contradictions of the system are visible on the surface, in the form of serious economic pain for much of the Western population.

People don't give a damn about the devaluation of the dollar or any of that. As long as their dollars keep being accepted pretty much everywhere and they can buy the buys and services that they want, nothing will change.

Our only hope is that once governments eliminate physical cash, people will wake up and use the only viable alternative (Bitcoin) therefore making pioners (anyone holding 10+BTC is) rich as fuck.
2734  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to manage money? on: April 28, 2016, 01:47:44 PM
A sure fire way to never go broke and keep making positive gains each month is to separate an amount of money that you use to store long term, then this money you never touch it, and you must have this money under an asset that has a lot of potential like bitcoin (right now you can never find a better way to store money long term), then you must lock those savings and keep adding more money monthly. It's a slow way to grow but in a year you will thank that you did it, and in 10 you will be rich if you have at least 20 BTC.
2735  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN?? on: April 28, 2016, 01:43:50 PM
Just don't. There's no point in trying this to "normal people" yet. Unless the person has a background in technology and or economics, it will not be very worth it. Of course, if you tell her that one Bitcoin might go to 100.000 USD over the next years im sure she will start liking them tho.
2736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin already using too much power by 2020? on: April 28, 2016, 01:37:04 PM
Bitcoin uses 0 power compared to the resources that mining gold is required, not to mention all the geological negative impact that mining gold has as a side effect of moving all the terrain because you are forced to hardcore terraform in order to extract whatever gold its left, yet I dont see anyone complaining about it.
2737  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: April 28, 2016, 01:34:41 PM
Now that Steam accepts Bitcoin I may be more prone to spend some of it but only the money that I get paid in Bitcoin like signature campaigns. I will never buy Bitcoin to spend it on stuff, I only buy Bitcoin for long term storage because buying Bitcoin to spend it on stuff when I can directly buy it with fiat is pretty nonsensical.
2738  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: April 28, 2016, 01:31:14 PM
Because the only go up and once the governments eliminate cash wit will be the only way in the world to move money from place to place without getting detected. Gold and all other alternatives will be rendered useless by then.
2739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling is Exploding on: April 27, 2016, 02:21:38 PM
The Bitcoin gambling experience is a very unique one. Never before in history we were able to gamble with people all over the world outside of the financial system as we know it. No matter where you are you can start playing poker with people all over the world and this is so fantastic for anyone that loves to play and gamble without any restrictions, in some countries it's hell trying to to gamble, so I think bitcoin will get all that money from those people and convert it into a leading market.
2740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long do you play per day gambling like Dice ? on: April 27, 2016, 01:48:32 PM
A fantastic idea is to never go beyond what you can afford to lose so you never end up feeling like an idiot after a session of gambling. It's best o limit your dices to the amount of money you can afford to lose per month, so everyone's budget is different and that means it's impossible to establish a limit that's safe for everyone, some people like Floyd Mayweather could be gambling 24/h and never go bankrupt.
