Yes! Please put up the Brit and an LD or two so I can "buy it now!"
Heh, the buy it now prices would be the ones listed in the thread, but on Bitmit you might have a chance to score some silver for a few bitcents off. I appreciate the enthusiasm/feedback though.

Would people be interested in seeing some of these go up for auction on Bitmit? Debating whether or not I should get into the Bitmit scene.

This is like a who's who of silver rounds I covet. Great stuff.
That Britannia looks to be in good shape, the quality of those have been spotty this year. I predict good looking 2013 Britannias will fetch a nice price in the future.
2013 is actually the first year that Britannias are .999 Silver. Before 2013, they have been .958 (Britannia) silver. All of my coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated shape, unless otherwise mentioned. The Britannias are straight from the roll and placed into airtites using gloves. Your 2000 (Type 6) Liberty Dollar is one of the early "Small E" pieces. I can offer you a collector's special of a trade for a 1999 (type 3), or alternatively one each Bitcoin Specie and New Liberty Dollar proof strike?
I love trading, pmed.

I quite like the look of the rabbit coin. Im no expert on silver coins so just curious as to why its priced a bit more than the rest?
The Rabbit is from the Perth Mint, which is one of the most highly collected mints. Its part of the first Lunar Series issued by them, where they issue a different animal for each year of the Zodiac Calendar. With low mintage numbers in the first place (63,644) It was minted in 1999 and that specific coin will never be reminted, however they have continued on with the lunar series with series two. So when people see a really cool looking coin they want from the Lunar series, they begin collecting the lot of them, and then they begin collecting the older series of them too. I had a Lunar Rabbit from series two, however my sister took it (with my permission) but because they are attractive coins, have a low mintage from a highly sought after mint the Perth Lunar Series tends to hold a high premium.

lol you sure do sound like a sock.
Nope, probably not a sock. I was quite sure this was auction fraud, so I asked Theymos to do an IP check. No match.

Yeah, But to be fair to Dob he did admit he was in the wrong (despite smoothie getting involved) and is now trying to correct the problem. Dob is trying to meet "my" standards. As soon as he does I will donate some BTC.
I can't speak for the general public, but it very much looked like you were harrassing Dob over details just because you two got into a spat over something. I doubt he or anyone else for the matter actually cared about a Bitcoin Museum becoming a registered nonprofit organization, but he is doing so because he didn't want to fight further with you. Smoothie (and you for the matter) dont care about what is the fastest/easiest resolution to a problem. You two just like to fight. So I think you should both drop the victim card, and just fight/debate with each other over something like what color the sky would look best in, and just butt heads for the sake of doing so, and stop trying to create new "real" problems between the two of you, because there is none. Also, I'm debating changing my forum name to Doctor Phil.

An actual recap. 1) DobZombie has a Bitcoin Museum that is not up to Goat's standards. 2) Goat calls him out on it. 3) Smoothie takes Dob's side either because he just wants to fight with goat or he genuinely wishes to defend the Bitcoin Museum. 4) Smoothie compares Goat's argument that the Bitcoin Museum is fraud (not registered as a nonprofit) and says the same about the Litecoin Foundation 5) Both Smoothie and Goat now arguing about things they don't care about Smoothie is a troll at heart, and you are as stubborn as a goat.
*Edit* Better Recap ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ goat and fruit drink fight nothing substantial happens spectators laughing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Do keep in mind that thread was made in October of 2012, back then Smoothie had no other role in the community besides annoyance, so he didn't think twice about making... "questionable" posts. I think you two need to make up like big boys, and realize Smoothie was dumb in the past, (you can't argue that Smoothie) and Goat, you were an easy target for Smoothie's brand of comedy/self amusement.
Just to put things into Context, at the time, Smoothie made up like 80% of Alt Currency's reports (he doesn't touch .01% today) and wasn't October short before your break from the forums Goat?
Had this thread not been made in 2012, it would not be something that would be made again. I don't really want to see a fight between a Smoothie and a Goat, and I know the two of you at least fairly well, so left alone, this little back and forth thing will be quite drawn out, so for the love of yourselves and everyone who will be in the path of the dripping sticky mess, and the rampant eattings of a goat, please settle this.
For those with no context, I'm just not going to provide any so its more confusing for you.

Slightly off topic, however I hope that you will approve as it makes a point. I'm interested in setting up a Bitcointalk reality T.V show, and its part Jerry Springer and part boxing. So people can sit and yell at each other, and then after that they get to box.
Goat and Smoothie, just wondering if you would like to be the first to appear on the show?

I'm just testing the waters to see if anyone is interested. I have a Yamaha YEP-201 Euphonium that I'm looking to sell. For those that don't know what a Euphonium is, it is the love child of a Tuba and a Trumpet, larger than the trumpet, but smaller than the tuba. I was planning on trading it into a music store for an Alto Sax, however I feel I can get a better price selling the Euphonium, and then putting the $ towards the Sax. I'll upload pictures if there is any interest, but its in great condition, a few scratches, with the only really visable scratches on the keys (moving parts going up and down tend to scratch) no dents or dings or any other damage that would effect the sound quality. I'm the original owner, and it has never been repaired or relaquered. What you see (or will see if anyone is interested) is exactly what you get. Keys have been well oiled, so nothing sticks. No tarnish or rust on the instrument, well maintained in general. Comes with the original case and a sterilized mouth piece if you need it and all of the original paperwork. I'll accept BTC, LTC, Paypal, Check, Silver/Gold etc, or however you want to do cash wise, as I plan on using the $ to get a Sax. MSRP is around $2400 and they sell for around $1800 new, so I'm looking for around $1200 shipping included to the U.S. If you have any questions, don't hesistate to ask. This is a stock photo, not mine, however I'll take photos of mine if anyone is interested.

I know PA does not have any sales taxes on Precious metals as I've purchased locally from there before, and I just looked up from a Local dealer in Boston, that Mass has a sales tax on Bullion sales under $1000, so either way you are in the green. You do have to pay capital gains taxes, however if you are buying $50,000 worth of gold, and selling it for $50,000 that shouldn't be an issue, since there isn't any capital gain. If theres a small variance, you should also be fine, however if you make $50,000 on a huge gold swing, you will have to pay a tax on the profit. The reason different states vary as to whether or not they have sales tax, is based on what increments if any they agree that precious metals are an investment. While in PA, they don't tax Percious metals at all, Mass made the decision that its an investment purchase if you buy more than $1000 worth, so there is no sales tax on purchases/sales over $1000 in Mass. The Capital gains tax is similar to any investment such as stocks. You are required to pay I believe its a 20% tax on capital gains. So as I said before, if you buy $50,000 worth of gold, and sell it for $50,000. You will be subject to no taxes. If you buy $50,000 worth of gold and sell it for $60,000 you are required to pay that 20% capital gains tax on the $10,000 you made. If you buy $50,000 and it drops, technically, you could get a tax writeoff. Source for Mass Sales Tax: http://www.bostonbullion.com/faq.htm#9"There are NO sales taxes on out of state orders or Massachusetts bullion purchases larger than $1,000." Source for PA Sales Tax: http://www.jmbullion.com/guide/buying-online-vs-locally/" For example, JM Bullion is located in Pennsylvania, which doesn’t have sales tax on precious metals sales, thus we never charge any of our customers sales tax." Source confirming both again: http://preciousmetals.wikia.com/wiki/Bullion_Sales_TaxTechnically, you could do everything off the books anyway, since like I said, Precious metal sales are done in cash, however I'm explaining the legal way to do it, which I'd probably reccomend, since you shouldn't have to pay any taxes anyway.

Can you suggest a PM supplier that accepts bitcoins?
I would check out Amagimetals.com they are the most reputable BTC Metals dealer, and they have actually pretty kickass prices. I'm not offiliated with them in anyway, but I've ordered from them on a number of occasions, and have been pretty happy with the results. The only issue I've heard of people having with them, is sometimes it will take a while to ship, a week being the longest its taken for me personally. If I were you, if you decided to go that route (after looking into the rest of the logistics of course) I'd email Amagi's support to make sure what you are thinking of ordering isn't back ordered or anything like that, and ask how long the shipping time will be. I've found that my shipping times have been far better if I'm in communication with their support.

Interesting. Who knows, maybe I will actually do this. Why do banks not find it suspicious though? If they are asking me where my $50K came from and I say "gold coins" they will just be like "oh cool, you are a sea faring pirate, no problem"? You would think that gold coins would raise flags for precisely reasons of anonymity (even though we obviously don't think it should).
Well first off, Gold is a tangible asset recognized by banks and other institutions that have anti Bitcoin policies (most anti Bitcoin policies have to do with nontangibility and legal gray areas). Precious metal sales are tax free in certain senarios, you would have to look those up for your area. Some places have no tax on Gold sales higher than $500, $1000, or no tax at all. Also, if you are selling to individuals locally, or even to registered and legal dealers, they work in cash. Credit card premiums hugely bite into precious metal sales, since most are based on spot price + a smallish fixed rate, so the standard trade medium is Gold > Cash or check and you could deposit the $ to your bank if you wished from there. Then, if your bank got suspicious over the large trade, its very very easy to say, I sold gold to *insert name* and thats all fine and good. If you have to tell them that you got a large bank wire from an organization that uses Bitcoins, a virtualy currency that they have never heard of, people tend to get a lot more... suspicious. Gold is an investment that many people hold, so its not uncommon for banks to see large deals for precious metal sales. $50k worth of gold is far from an unsual amount. If you start cashing in tens of millions of dollars worth, they might get suspicious, but $50,000 worth of gold would be something thats in a standard investment portfolio of someone who invests in precious metals. It may not be a good option for you personally, however I find it to be useful, so its worth looking into.

If you are familiar with the precious metal market at all, I find that the best way to cash BTC into $ is via gold/silver depending on how much you are trying to transfer. $50k is actually not too difficult to buy or unload if you are buying 1 Oz gold bars/rounds. Its also far more anonymous that way, as you can sell the gold to a multitude of different places and you are far less likely to have your bank flag you as suspicious.

Dank, I love the hell out of you, because you are always amusing. Question though, how does you floating at a music festival bring world peace? Assuming you are magic, wouldn't people just say you were a really good magician or had really good special effects? And even if everyone did believe that you were legitimately flying, why would that bring world peace? Sure it would be neat, but I'm just trying to understand you.
Also, you should upload a video of you playing guitar.

Great job. I'm curious though, you say that you welcome U.S investors? How did you get around all of the U.S Security registrations? LitecoinGlobal was a legal business based out of Belize, but it looks like they got shut down due to U.S regulations (dealing with U.S customers)
I'm curious, because so far the only way to stay in business has been to collect ID from citizens. If you have found a new method of either working with the system, or getting around it, it would be incredibly lovely for Cryptos as a whole.
That being said, I owned an asset on Litecoinglobal, and if after looking into everything, I find it suitable, I may take you up on your offer to relist here.
