2721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is sick again on: December 24, 2016, 12:52:49 PM
This is the reason why im going to stock eth im riking my bitcoin for this coin i have prediction that this coin will be rise again next year this coin is cheap now it is time to buy this is the right time to hold and stock some of eth.

i have the same prediction too, and as i have said it many times before ETH will be pumped again very hard in the future but the keyword is the "in the future" part.

right now it is not a good idea at all to get into bitcoin unless you are planning to do some short term trading with it for some small profit. but if you want a less risky and more profit kind of deal i say you should wait more.

lots of dumps these days.
2722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's freaking 2017 - Do you own 1 BTC? on: December 24, 2016, 12:48:30 PM
generally saying how much bitcoin you own and how much you earn,.... on this forum is like an open invitation letter to the IRS.
not that i care, i don't live in the US but just saying Cool
2723  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN PRICE UP THE ROOF on: December 23, 2016, 03:19:03 PM
Rate of Bitcoins is fluctuating. Can anyone say why? Maybe but think of it.. If we received 1BTC for freelancing. While price increases... Our 779 USD payment for the freelancing is now 9xx USD. Where is our profits coming from since BTC is a currency we can use? BTCBTCBTCBTCBTC

bitcoin is still in its early stages of adoption and every day that passes this adoption grows and with more adoption more people to bitcoin which means higher demand that eventually leads to higher prices.

and as for payment, yeah if you can do something that is worth 779 USD then i guess you make 130ish USD price but remember these rises like this doesn't happen every day!
2724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICOs worth investing on: December 23, 2016, 03:00:33 PM
Hi,

what ICOs are you waiting for? Is there anything worth investing?

don't risk your money with ICOs you are better of gambling your money and have a bigger chance of making profit than making anything from ICOs these days, they are all turning into scams and failed projects one after another.
2725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins worth investing on: December 23, 2016, 02:48:28 PM
right now if you want to invest in any of the altcoins i suggest waiting a while because it is not a good time in altcoin market and prices are falling fast.
but after this period:

What sites do you check?

mostly i check the charts on the exchange! but apart from that i check bitcointalk and coinmarketcap for additional info.

Quote
How do you guys select the ones with the potential?
What are your criteria?
Do you have some system?

I believe you have incentive to share this information because more of us invest in one coin, more the price is. Smiley

a coin that has enough volume everyday, and sometimes if the project has some interesting features that may sound interesting to me.
2726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking Bitcoin on: December 23, 2016, 02:32:00 PM
Well if you create your paper wallet via some online services, the interception of the data gonna be in function of the service.

I guess there are several leaks possible :
- directly by the service (bad security)
- by the postman ^^
- by someone in your house
- by someone breaking your mailbox

But all those cases aren't directly link to BitCoin security.

Another approch gonna be generate private key and test it, maybe one can work and be uncrypted (no pass phrase).

Also this is not BitCoin this is user not securing his wallet.

My 2 Cts,
Is there already any evidence that certain paper wallet services have kept the private keys of those wallets?
I would personally not use an online service for that, but it seems like something that a lot of new users would do.

Dunno just saying what could be the leaks. Wink

if you ask me, it is not a paper wallet (which is supposed to be cold storage) by definition if you are using an "online" service to make it.
all the codes that i have seen so far for making a paper wallet are suggesting the following as first step:
- download code
- go on and offline (clean) computer which then they suggest using a live linux.

also people usually use the famous services/codes like bitaddress (not sure about spelling) which are peer reviewed and  are open source.
2727  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin in 2017 on: December 23, 2016, 02:26:02 PM
like any other years so far, bitcoin will continue being great in 2017 too. and since the price has been rising these days i think we can expect above $1000 soon in early 2017 maybe in Jan even.

and this will eventually lead to adoption by all those big services like amazon when people are using bitcoin more and more.
2728  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: December 22, 2016, 03:33:07 PM
I recommend to open online shopping that receive bitcoin. With online shopping the bitcoin will we get every time, and we hold the bitcoin, sell after the best price.

Online shops are good, but you need to have a unique product, or you choose which product has many merchants, that means there is really a demand for that product or service... But not all the time there is someone that will purchase your product, so that means there are times that you won't be earning... I think, along with online shop, you should have a day job, and earn your regular salary there and just buy bitcoin out of it...  Smiley

all your suggestion help but what makes a business like an online shop successful is the owner and how he advertises his shop.
for example you can sell a very ordinary set of goods in your shop and things that others are selling too, but you can give promotions, advertise, give nice discounts, and lots of other customer attracting techniques and make your business more successful than any other similar competition.
2729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash 10$ +/- on: December 22, 2016, 03:22:30 PM
So z cash isn't gonna go back up to 1btc? That sucks hopefully down the road it will I dont have much just few bucks worth from cloud mining. Thanks for your input on the coin, I might as well sell what I have just to be safe thanks. Peace Love Crypto!!
Never, ZEC will never be recovering his price for the future. It will worth below 0.01 in my mind and keep your eyes in his supply and you will be seeing the other dropping trend will happen soon. Adoption, advertise news or other will be useless for increasing his price again.

ZEC = Short hype.

Maybe the whales are still accumulating. After they get enough, there will be a pump.
Based on the economy 101 and that's will happen in some years later.  Cheesy
They didn't care about that until the price was falling below 0.001. The trend will keep on the down . The whale must take a rest for this. Jump into the another coin.
This would still depend on whales if they would like to pump out a particular coin since they have all the power to make a certain coin pump and also to zcash i cant see anything good about on this coin and as you mentioned i wont bother to this thing and would definitely jump into an another coin which have more potential compared to this.

who do you think a whale is?
whales are also traders like any other trader with some more experience and lots of money. and they also like anybody else are looking for profit and right now since nobody is buying coins like this one, pumping it is like throwing away money because all the attention is focused on bitcoin.
2730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Uh, you might want to start buying some Litecoins... on: December 22, 2016, 03:17:37 PM
Turns out convincing a billionaire to back LTC wasn’t as hard as I thought. If I were you I would start buying some Litecoins… Smiley

[i m g]https://i.imgur.com/abE843H.jpg[/img]

ok, i saw a picture of someone welding and some boxes, now i am rushing to my exchange to sign in and poor my money into litecoin.

as if i don't know litecoin is going down right now and the so called "billionaires" are those Chinese people who have always been pumping litecoin and they seem to be holding off at the moment because they are actively engaged with bitcoin.
2731  Economy / Speculation / Re: ($820) i told you so on: December 22, 2016, 03:11:55 PM
These are the price targets that mainstream financials have been waiting for in terms of allowing Bitcoin to prove itself ready for the big league money to arrive. Ongoing capital controls across the world are only going to help fuel the rocket for higher trajectory.

i both hope this happens and not happens at the same time.
because we all like a bigger price and that would be the result of what you said but i am afraid of instability in price and crashes that it can cause.

These are the price targets that mainstream financials have been waiting for in terms of allowing Bitcoin to prove itself ready for the big league money to arrive. Ongoing capital controls across the world are only going to help fuel the rocket for higher trajectory.

I don't think anybody can predict a top for this move now, we could literally be looking at a ridiculously big rise.
This is gentlemen.

would you care explaining why you think this rise was "ridiculously" big? and you do realize that it is only about 8% rise right?
2732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC38 hot wallet got hacked and lost 1.5 million on: December 22, 2016, 03:04:16 PM
you would think that after this many hacking incidents all this time, these exchanges would take more precautions about their hot wallets but it doesn't look they are learning anything at all.

i just hope they don't disappear like other hacked exchanges who disappeared.
2733  Economy / Speculation / ($820) i told you so on: December 21, 2016, 02:51:16 PM
i wasn't personally expecting the $800 resistance be broken this soon specially with all the tiny rises during the $760-$790 range.

but i was certain that when $800 is broken, price rise is going to speed up and now it is already at $820 by the time i am writing this.  Cool

now the question is where is the new top in this rise?
2734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you need to overcome your fear of losing money on: December 21, 2016, 02:45:47 PM
Of course losing money is all part of the game, but it helps to mitigate those losses as much as possible, especially if you enjoy trading, and want to continue trading well into the future.

losing money alone is not a problem at all, what you do after losing money is the important part.
some people get depressed and leave, some call it gambling but some instead of all that start thinking about their mistakes and how they can fix those mistakes and that is what matters most.

Quote
If so, there are a few things you can do to mitigate risks, including trading on reputable and safe exchanges like Alcurex.com - where you have a large variety of altcoins to choose from, dividend stocks, and many more trading options that allow for fast withdrawals and deposits.

It is easier to make money on exchanges that are active, and offer greater trading options.

alcurex is not as reputable as other exchanges that were around for a long time. and you are the first one who is calling them like this. advertising?
anyways, i personally prefer places that have been around for a while to invest my money.
2735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling Investments on: December 21, 2016, 02:39:10 PM
i also want to invest but what sites you recommend? i only have 0.05 for now lol

If you have a small amount then you can try with moneypot site because they will accept these small amounts as well. But investors on that site is not making profits for quite some time because they are still fixing the issues related to profits sharing between investors, app owners and for them. They are promising to improve many things so wait for all those fixes to invest your money.

their investment system is very bad. i don't know exactly how it works in the behind the scenes but what i see from outside and what the results are showing are pretty terrible.

my thinking was that since there are a lot more gambling sites using their system and as the rule of house always wins, your investment should have been profitable.

but what has been happing in reality (based on my observations more than a couple of months) you only lose money there as an investor.
2736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH touching cloth of $14 tonight on: December 21, 2016, 02:33:21 PM
You might have to wait much longer.

There is no problem to wait for blood on Ethereum streets. They say that stocks are best second-hand and cheap Smiley

a lot of us have been waiting for prices such as $3 to get in because the real value of Ethereum should be a lot less than what it is right now. this coin is not capable of competing with other giants in altcoin market and also one negative aspect that ethereum has and people usually forget is that there is a lot of supply available.
2737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero is one of the few altcoins that has been keeping its price up. on: December 21, 2016, 02:28:44 PM
monero is also one of those altcoins that have been around for a very long time, for this simple reason i have always had a lot more trust in monero than i had in any of the new coins no matter how loud they are.
2738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin ransomware report- 11.9% victim pay to recover their files on: December 21, 2016, 02:25:21 PM
wow that is such a big percentage, and we are talking about Chinese population not a small country. that 11.9% in China is a lot of people who have already been a victim to this virus.
i just hope bitcoin doesn't start to look like a criminal coin again in the media.
2739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: December 18, 2016, 04:02:26 PM
Online Gambling is better because it can be done everywhere and at one's own convenience so far as there's internet access.
Yeah I agree. And casinos which accept Bitcoin are even better because you do not need to provide you ID to them. Your information is 100% secret and Bitcoin is also support the anonymity. In some country, gambling is considered as a criminal, people will be arrested if they are found gambling. Thanks to the online gambling system, more and more people can now gamble without being fear about getting caught by the police or the government anymore

But they can always be caught in the act. A simple photo of you gambling online can put you in jail for years. I wouldn't risk that. Years of your life wasted just because you wanted to gamble. I might take that risk if I'm some gambling genius that makes thousands of dollars out of gambling. Otherwise, I don't think playing with small amounts of money, and getting a couple of dollars in a good day isn't worth the risk. There are other games out there that are more entertaining than gambling and are totally legal.

i don't think there is any country in the world that treats players this harshly. and besides they are not out there looking for who is gambling online to bust them and imprison them like this, there are lots of other worse crimes and criminals to put in jails that a random guy making some bets online.
2740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: December 18, 2016, 03:46:40 PM
at current stage almost all altcoins are BUY ;-)

this is actually not quite right.
because at the current stage with bitcoin price rising and all, altcoins are dropping fast and they are dropping bad. which makes buying right now a bad idea.
however this is going to change soon when most of these hit the bottom and start coming back up, but we certainly are not there yet.

But I would stick with DCR, DGB and AMP Wink

i have not even heard about these coins around here yet Cheesy
