Looks like for Casimero beating Butler is not a problem.
According to the betting odds, it looks like Casimero can make Butler's life horrible in this fight.
Look at the odds ;

Quote
Paul Butler +800
John Riel Casimero -1500
https://www.sportsbetlistings.com/boxing/john-riel-casimero-vs-paul-butler-betting-odds-and-prediction/17689/

He beat Tete, so there's no reason he can't beat Butler. The question here is, if Casimero will win, will Inoue would finally say yes to their big fight?  My guess is maybe 40% he'll accept because he is not so confident he can beat Casimero based on his actions and statements.
Casimero was underdog during that time but he proved that he is a road warrior, and no doubt he will win against Butler here. About Inoue, not sure if he is 100% ready to face Casimero but the latter is always ready to face him.

It's Arum who needs to deal with this. Is he ready to gamble his milking cow?

Inoue and Casimero have both a warrior hearts once the fight being call they are not afraid facing whoever in front of them

but it's the promoters who will decide. Money is now the basis of any fight. The generations of fighters are now controlled

by big promoters and handlers.

They need to wait till their handlers agreed with any contract between two fighters.

He should be, otherwise, Inoue's ranking will fall as people will get bored of following him if he does not fight the best in his division. I heard that some boxers under Top Rank promotion have a problem like this, their promoter does not want to give them a fight that they have a 50% chance of winning, they always make sure their fighters are a heavy favorite in a fight, especially those who are holding a belt.

Yeah, everyone is expecting that we're about to at least stabilize the situation of the pandemic but this girl came and broke the quarantine rules, and worst, she infected her friends and now we're on the spread again. This is terrible and ridiculous. One wrong action and all industries are affected by her wrongdoings. The income of the PBA will be lessen again and we might see them again dwell in huge loss just because of the alert level 3.

We cannot stop the spread anymore, it already happened, let's just listen to the order of the government as they know better how to handle the situation. If that will result for the PBA to be stopped for awhile, then we should accept it, it's not time for blaming now, it's time for adjusting and accept the current situation.
I don't think that the PBA games will be stopped. I've seen a proposal that they'll go in a bubble but the question is where. I don't know if it will be in Ynares or in the Araneta.
Just like what they've originally planned before the opening with the live audience. I guess we just have to embrace the situation, we really don't like it at all. But because of that girl, things become worst.
A bubble will be the last option but we can stop blaming here as it will not change anything. PBA already know how to handle a bubble set up as they made a successful conference before in a bubble, although players don't like it they have no choice as the restriction is getting tighter now and PBA are in a mission to continue their conference as they already invested on the imports who are playing.
2723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 03, 2022, 10:24:12 AM
The Poblacion girl is the main reason why we had a superspreader. Now, the PBA games has go again in a bubble, no audiences allowed. I'm stucked on thinking that we're just 9k active cases just the remaining days of December 2021 and then we're now again at 21k active daily cases and it's not going to stop there. I've seen the announcement that they're planning to go on the bubble and we'll see that eventually once they announce it. The PBA is just trying to recover and allowed the audiences to watch and here we go, we're back again to limited people.

This is indeed bad news, after all, we had last year, I thought we gonna finally end the pandemic in our country this year but the contrary is currently happening, more strict rules are being implemented again. I wonder how much time do we left until we go back to normal and watch our favorite team in the coliseum as usual without a mask or face shield. right now all we can hope is the matter will not get worse as the problem is arising, a high percentage of people has already been vaccinated and the infected will be decrease, unlike last year.

2724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 02, 2022, 04:17:01 PM
I have a parlay on Bucks -10.5 + Bulls -1.5.

Shit happens bro, if you could have just beat on them ML but for sure the odds are going to be reduce and I understand that you are always looking for a good odds.
If only we know what would happen, it's gambling, no one knows the outcome but let's just keep the fun as things like that could really happen from time to time.

Another good game is the Clippers vs Nets, Clippers a great underdog and was able to come up big at the road and dealt Durant and Harden a big loss. I never thought that they are going to win against the Nets, but lately we have seen a lot of upsets so this is one of those games.
For sure no one sees that coming, although Durant and Harden had a great contribution but it's not enough to beat the undermanned Clippers who are playing with solid teamwork as we can see on the numbers contributed by their players.

By the way, enough for the previous games, let's talk about the upcoming games now.

Phoenix -2 vs Charlotte...  What's the right pick here? why are Phoenix only -2?
2725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 02, 2022, 03:59:21 PM
And the best gauge is to really see the two in the square ring. Ioka did his share with a tough win, so Jerwin should do the same against Martinez. And we just hope that there will be no derailing of the fight and no upset from Martinez.

That's correct, and I think Ancajas here has a tougher opponent and if he beats his opponent then I'll completely be confident that they will beat Ioka as well. No one could really tell what will happen in this fight, the outcome could be different from our expectation but I believe that even if Ancajas will lose, he can still get an opportunity to look for big fights.

The fight between the two was canceled for a reason but they didn't become inactive as they will face another fighter. Ioka already did his job and that is by beating his opponent, Ancajas' time now to win so they can still set up the fight against Ioka, probably in the same venue it was originally announced.
2726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 02, 2022, 01:33:17 PM
^^ But the hype will not be there for a Casimero vs Inoue fight if by chance Casimero losses against Butler here. So this fight is very important for Casimero as much as to Butler and with that, this will really be a banger fight.

Remember that Butler didn't accept the replacement fighter in Joseph Agbeko because his goal is to become a champion. And he can only did it if he beat the champion itself in Casimero. And now that he has been given another chance by the WBO, this fight will really be very good not just in paper as both needed to win here.

Exactly, no more Casimero vs Inoue if he loses in this fight, it would only be Inoue vs Donaire 2. He has to win this and I'm confident that they will succeed as he is heavily favored to win this fight,  and Butler is also confident as he is aiming for a belt so he didn't accept the replacement, so this fight is really interesting for everyone.

Don't think of the possibility that there will be no more hype between the two because Filipinos won't be interested to follow Inoue anymore if no Filipino boxer will fight him, yes there's Donaire but he is not anymore in his prime and he already loss to Inoue before, so what to expect in the rematch?
2727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 02, 2022, 12:57:11 PM
It's okay to be confident but never underestimate an opponent whether you are a champion or not. It's necessary to ensure that proper training is done since this is a championship fight, and the loser here will lose the chance to have bigger fights in the future. For Magsayo as a challenger, he should give everything he has for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
I don't think it's a matter of underestimating or not but it's certain that the reigning champions will be underdogs.
Regardless of how it turns out it's a matter of being in the ring.
I know that magsayo is a tough boxer and is predicted to be the next pacquiao. but it's still not enough to make him the seed and it's still Russell who is seeded
Who says he is the next Pacquiao? I think it's too early to predict it, he maybe be undefeated right now but he doesn't have the skills like Pacquiao yet during his prime, Magsayo maybe not be as gifted as Pacquiao so I don't want to put a high expectation on him.
2728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 01, 2022, 02:06:25 PM
I do agree plus the fact that Russell is not so active inside the ring could bring him trouble against a hungry challenger in Magsayo.

Russell averages 1 fight per year it's only on this year, he doesn't have a fight. I don't think we can call Russell inactive for that. He doesn't rest for over 2 years that's why I don't take that inactivity this year as his disadvantage.

But as fellow PH, I'm looking forward to Magsayo winning. I hope him being hungry, will be the new champion on that big night.

1 fight per year for Russel seems a bit weak. If anything that sounds like a portrayal of laziness. A professional boxxer should be more motivated to fight more, gain more and train more. Thats why Russel is not really a great contender, at least not in my book.

Being hungry is great, but hunger alone does not beat experience or skill. Again, not really things I myself would bet on. But lets see how it goes. We might be surprised.

I guess that depends on the promoter handling Rusell, if they are not active in marketing him then he can't do anything but wait until a good fight is given to him, and this time, he gets a good opponent that came from a very impressive victory. The fact that Rusell is a champion, I don't want to question him anymore as I expect he is a great fighter and that is a great challenge for Magsayo.
2729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 31, 2021, 02:06:13 PM

However, we are talking about Lakers constantly. There is something that we need to realize the fact that you can't really lose with this team, not just the game but financially. They can build teams like this and be able to pay the salaries easily because even when they are losing they are getting the most attention.

That wouldn't last for long, if the Lakers will continue to lose games, eventually, their fans will be disappointed and they will stop supporting the Lakers. I understand that you are referring to the market but we also have to consider that Lebron is trying to cement his legacy and he will not stay in a team that will not help him achieve his goal.
2730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 27, 2021, 09:41:44 PM
I even received a lot of emails from different casinos and it never bothered me coz I don't mind those promotional emails I just read and ignore them, that's it. Thus it looks interesting and important to us? I don't think so. Coz even I was in gambling addiction still, I don't make myself check all of them.
May their support system be slow, it really feels bad for us users seeking immediate action. But that was the case, well, it is up to us to make a deal of these emails, I think you don't mind it and unsubscribe them. Then it was over.
Maybe your addiction is not bad enough compared to OP, it seems like he doesn't want to receive any news about gambling but actually, it was him who did not figure out how to unsubscribe it. For a person having a severe gambling addiction, every good information that is related to gambling wouldn't do good for him, I mean he might be in the process of recovering then suddenly receives some promotional email, that will not help for a speedy process.
2731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 27, 2021, 09:09:28 PM

That makes sense, it's very unfair for the fans also to see Casimero struggling because he force himself to fight even having some problem with his health, if Spence were able to back out in his fight against Manny Pacquioa and were not criticize, I'm sure the fans will understand that Casimero has no option but to declare his problem.
He has that right to take care of his health first before fighting, and the doctors can prove that if it's in need of showing information about his declaration, I agree that if he will fight with his illness, it will affect his movements, and possible further damages, We all agree that re-scheduling is the best thing for this and afterwards we will see them both inside the ring.

Even it's been delayed, for sure many fans are still interested since it's a good ticket for Casimero to bring his name
back in talk of Inoue's next possible fight. Roll Eyes Cool

That's the good news, the fight was only delayed, it was not canceled because Butler is the top challenger and he always wants to have a shot at winning the championship. Now, they are just like starting from the very beginning, continue the training to be physically and mentally ready in the date of the fight.
2732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: December 27, 2021, 08:37:10 PM
Few days for this long fight I have been waiting for to take place. My support goes for ancajas he is a smart fighter with great tactics,  let me just chill and wait to watch the outcome of the fight.
We don't know if it's a long fight since both fighters are capable of knocking out their opponent. Ancajas may have more fans here from the Filipino boxing community, but we have to understand that Ioka is fighting in his country and that's his advantage. Both fighters are really strong since it's unification fight, it's the battle between the best.
2733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 27, 2021, 02:12:42 PM
the first thing they consider is the validity of the reason and I'm pretty sure that the reason for Casimero is valid for them to allow him to keep his belt and just postpone the fight.

And it looks like they were able to clear anything within the 10-day period that WBO given them to show proof that Casimero really suffers a medical condition resulting in a no-show on their weigh-in. No problem at all now as the rumor if it's true or not is now answered.

Can't believe that even Casimero is sometimes arrogant, his camp will not think twice about the consequences if they will do that no-show scenario intentionally just to save something like a plan in the future or anything else.

If he was really sick that time, why would he force to show up and fight Butler? I think it's better not to show up and come up with a good reason as an excuse than fight his challenger when he is not feeling healthy at all. Anyway, no more speculation now as this fight is still gonna push through.

2734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 27, 2021, 12:42:31 PM
But in the back of my mind, I'm excited to see Magsayo excel and make his way to another level. If he takes this one, what's next to him will be unknown but probably another good fight, and earn much decent profits. Wink Roll Eyes
Same here, this is the biggest fight of his career and we can expect that he will do everything to win. His last fight probably teaches him a lessoned because  it was that convincing in the start, he was just so lucky to him his opponent and knock him down, what if he cannot knock Russell? for sure he will lost by points because Russell is a good boxer and if he still show the same boxing performance last time, there's no way he will stand a chance to win.
2735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 27, 2021, 11:55:20 AM
Philadelphia and Miami had easy wins. So many players were missing in Orlando, even Miami didn't have his big man Bam Adebayo but they managed to get an easy game. Omer Yurtseven had a very nice game and even when I watched the game, it could be seen that he had a surprise impact. But the Heat has a tough competition for the top 3 in the eastern conference. Nets, Bulls and Bucks have slightly better teams for getting the conference championship.
That was so easy, and Embiid once again led the team with 36 points in a dominant performance individually and as a team. I don't understand what happened to the Wizards, they had a very good start and now they are losing some games, from being a top 3 team, now ranked number 7 in the East.
As long as Embiid is healthy, you can always trust his team to win even against the best teams in the NBA. Things are just so unpredictable right now, but good teams never change because they already build a chemistry and everyone will do their job for one goal. While Wizards ranking are going down, 76ers ranking also are going the opposite way.
2736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 27, 2021, 11:14:30 AM

That's right, betting has to be taken seriously because we are risking money, there are fights that we choose to watch only but would not put our bet because we are not confident with our prediction or we just don't see the value for us to win. For me, this is a big fight and I will never miss watching this and I'm surely gonna put my bet. As I am impressed with Thurman's performance against pacquioa although he lose, so I would put my bet on him to win this fight.

And as a bettor, it is our responsibility to carefully assess the fighter that we will be going to put our bets on because we are totally taking the risk of putting our money in the hand of a fighter if he wins then you will also gonna win. With regards to the upcoming fight of Thurman vs. Barrios, referring to their fight record and base on their fight experiences I believe that both are capable to put each other into a knock-out win. Both are also has a single loss, this will be a challenging fight for the two fighters but at this time I will going to favor on Thurman's side.

I guess the majority of us here would go for Thurman to win this fight. For me, if Thurman was not inactive after his fight with Pacquiao, he would definitely not gonna go down hard in ranking, so this is his chance to come back and be a good challenger to the champions. So without a doubt, no changing of mind, I'm with Thurman 100% to win.

2738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 26, 2021, 09:16:45 PM
Just make this fight happen and ever Casimero would win this one then he should aim for Inoue next on line.
Yeah, this match has been the middle ground and delayed the fight of Casimero for Inoue. It's what we want and this match should just happen and end. But good to know that the belt is still with Casimero.

I guess we're going to see the next development on this case. But they should listen to the voice of the people on which match we want to see for Casimero and that's with Inoue. There go the others too that wants to see him fight Donaire.

It's really up to Casimero, if he insists to his manager to get Inoue at all cost then maybe they can negotiate with Bob to seal the fight. However, if Bob says no as he wanted to milk Inoue more then we won't see the fight. Of course this is want we wanted to see, but boxing is business so it will make sense for boxing managers to seek more lucrative money fights instead of unification. Although in the end it will be inevitable as they are the champions in this divisions.
Well, I've forgotten that he has his manager and they've got their promoter.

So basically you're right. If the promoter gives a go signal to him then the manager would just go what's according to the manager and this fight is going to be possible.

If the promoter declines, well, it's probably a wish to everyone of us but I guess they really are considering it. Since a lot of fans have seen the fight to be on hype and there's money into it which they really like.

Casimero has to wait, he will get his moment against Inoue, for now, he has to face this mandatory challenger in front of him, after he beats Butler, then maybe we can start talking again about a potential Inoue-Casimero unification fight. Bob would always want to milk Inoue or his fighter to be specific but he also beleieve that Inoue can beat Casimero, so this fight is going to happen, we just don't know when yet.
2739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 26, 2021, 02:16:15 PM
I believe that Mario Barrios has a good chance to win this fight since Keith Thurman has not been in the ring for over two and a half years. That time might have taken its toll on his physical condition. Mario Barrios also has a height and arm length advantage, which might help him. It will be interesting to see this fight.

But the thing is that Barrios is the one going up in weight and we don't know if he can handle a full 147 lbs boxers. He was knockout by a midget (Tank Davis) at 140 lbs. What more of a legitimate welterweight with powers in both hands? So I doubt that he can pull an upset just because Thurman has not been in the ring for two years.

Each of us has our own views on this or that fight and boxers. This is quite normal. Also, this is my assumption and I do not advise to use this information when making decisions when betting on one of the boxers. I probably won't bet on this fight myself, but I will definitely watch it. There is still enough time to change my mind though.

2740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 26, 2021, 01:43:04 PM
{..snip..}

I don't think he Spence is avoiding Crawford. Maybe it make sense to get the belt from Ugas first and then go after Crawford for the unification bout in mid or late 2022 that will put a lot of money in the table. Maybe Crawford can fight Thurman too if "One Time", can get over Barrios this February. So there's a lot of options still open for Crawford while waiting for Spence.

Or the schedule doesn't match the two, Crawford just won against Porter and then Spence trying to make a comeback so it's better for him to fight Ugas first as Crawford might not be available the soonest.

So once Spence take care of Ugas then maybe they sit down and talk. Forget about Thurman, he is not that active so he needs to climb back in the rankings. And he is fighting an overblown 140 lbs ex-champion so it doesn't really count.

Will see but I still consider Thurman a huge threat. He only loses once and we are counting him out already, I'm sure Thurman will win in his upcoming fight and Spence ( if he wins against Ugas) and Crawford should be ready as Thurman is not a leftover as some of you are thinking.
