2741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa america 2016 dicussion on: June 12, 2016, 02:26:29 PM
Are you guys sure the final will be Brazil vs Argentina? I have read some soccer analysts' articles about the Copa America big favorites to lift the trophy and Colombia is a pretty popular choice to win. They slipped up vs Costa Rica but that was just a moment of bad luck I guess. Personally I don't believe the US team has what it takes to win the cup though. I think it will be either Colombia or Argentina.
2742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportstips - Basketball/tennis/soccer 🔥 Wins 91 - Loss 10 🔥 on: June 12, 2016, 02:00:34 PM
What a sick goal that was by Modric but I think the Turkish goalkeeper was at fault here because he had a lot of time to react to such a long distance shot but the ball slid under his arm. Mate I am very impressed with your first goal betting tactic and I will be using this method in my own bets later. I have learned something new today thank you a lot  Cheesy  And also congratulations to everyone following these juicy odds!
2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soccer Transfer Market 2016/2017 ! on: June 12, 2016, 01:20:29 PM
The Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been implicated in a sex scandal. Do you think the United management will be forced to sell him because this will bring bad rap to the team as a whole? I am not sure but I think  he may be banned to play for a while if he is found guilty or this won't happen what do you think guys?
2744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 12, 2016, 12:44:32 PM
Hello guys it's a new day and there are 3 more matches to win today so let's get to it shall we?  Cheesy So for Turkey vs Croatia my prediction is for over 2.5 goals and Croatia to win. Croatia has a much better team than Turkey and Croatia ML is a good option as well, but if Turkey manages to score an odd goal I think the game will go over goals easily. For Poland vs Northern Ireland I like half time draw and Poland to win the game full-time. Germany is one of my favorites to win the tournament so I think they won't disappoint today. Germany to win both halves vs Ukraine. Good luck to everyone having a bet today  Cheesy
2745  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: June 12, 2016, 10:13:58 AM
Yes ,but there's a disadvantage and advantage to receive salary in bitcoins because there's a fluctuation of price .so the salary would be high or low .this time in my opinion it is not applicable to be done.

Yup mate I fully agree with you here. The price of Bitcoin is so volatile right now that you may be risking getting a smaller payment if your salary was paid in Bitcoin instead of fiat because of the crazy fluctuation of the price. Personally if I were living alone I could possibly try receiving my salary in Bitcoin to see what the benefits would be compared to fiat but if I had a family I wouldn't do that because the financial stability of my family would depend on me and I wouldn't want to gamble their safety by investing in Bitcoin. Getting your full salary in Bitcoin is essentially investing your whole net worth in Bitcoin which could be a great idea or lead to disaster in the future. I guess this option is only for very adventurous people  Wink
2746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar stats not increasing ? on: June 12, 2016, 08:48:56 AM
Does OpenBazaar offer any kind of an escrow service between the sellers and the buyers? Because it's very risky to trust random sellers over the Internet, who are using a decentralized anonymous payment method at that, to send you the purchased goods. Maybe people need some time to get used to this new type of decentralized Bitcoin marketplace.
2747  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC now equals $630!!! on: June 12, 2016, 07:51:31 AM
Guys I just woke up and because I have Preev open in a tab on my Firefox browser so as to be able to check the price at a glance I briefly noticed the price was at $629 when I was walking by my monitor heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I almost didn't believe my eyes and thought I was still dreaming  Grin What a really nice surpise on a Sunday morning. I guess we will have Bitcoin at $700-$750 by next week's end.
2748  Other / Off-topic / Re: If Bitcoin price would fall to the bottom, what would you do next? on: June 11, 2016, 07:05:03 PM
If the Bitcoin price falls down to double digits I would probably stop hoarding Bitcoin as a store of value. I don't know what will happen to the other alt coins but I think their value is tied to Bitcoin somehow so maybe they will be affected in a negative way as well. But I hope the online retailers will continue to accept Bitcoin as a method of payment as I would be using the crypto coin as a digital currency exclusively. But if Bitcoin support is dropped by the retailers I would just exit the crypto coins scene for good.
2749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: June 11, 2016, 06:33:12 PM
Gambling is not a problem when you are not seeking to win money with it all the time. Gambling can become a problem when you want to make it your job. If you perceive sports betting as an entertainment and not a source of free money then your mind will be free of the desire to win a lot of money which leads to losing everything due to pure greed. When I am betting I don't expect to win most of the time, I am in for the fun of it and any profit is just a bonus that's all. But if you can't control your emotions it would be better to stop gambling altogether which could be a very hard thing to do given the bombardment of ads from all the new and old online Bitcoin casinos. However if you can't help yourself no one could help you because you will just fall victim to another addiction in life outside gambling.
2750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why isnt whatsapp, fb, snapchat, instagram or twitter adding btc? on: June 11, 2016, 03:37:18 PM
Because those are all corporate scumbags that sell user information for profit (or influence). The last thing they want is to empower their users (or neuter their government crony friends), hence they're not interested in Bitcoin.

would you do it in their place? they have billions. Who cares about BTC users? 2-3 millions at most Smiley

But by this logic Valve shouldn't have let Steam have Bitcoin payments as well because Gabe Newell is a very wealthy person and he can literally swim in fiat money but they did accept it right? Yes corporations are very rich but one simply can't have enough money and there is always a room for improvement Grin If they conclude that including Bitcoin will be beneficial to them they will certainly add it to their systems. They may not care about Bitcoin users right now, but their current stance could change when Bitcoin has a much bigger market capitalization and a bigger user base. Will they miss out on free money by avoiding the Bitcoin users? Well it remains to be seen  Grin
2751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 11, 2016, 03:09:04 PM
I just watched the entire match of Switzerland against Albania and I can't believe how many golden opportunities for goals were missed by both teams. Unfortunately my bet for over 1.5 goals is a bust what a bad luck that was. Also I have to admit both goalkeepers made great saves today but the Swiss goalie Sommer is man of the match for me. That last save was amazing when he was 1vs1 the Albanian player. Another thing that caught my attention was that the Swiss team played very arrogantly like underestimating their opponent most of the match and this almost led to a draw near the end. Well off to watch the remaining 2 games for today  Cheesy
2752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling get you into Bitcoin or did Bitcoin get you into gambling? on: June 11, 2016, 12:55:49 PM
I have been gambling on and off since I turned 18 and that's the legal age for gambling in my country  Cheesy I started to gamble with cash online at first because it is much more convenient and also the promos and first deposit bonuses offer a better incentive than going to an offline betting office. I still place some bets with fiat when I can find far better odds than what the Bitcoin sportsbooks have. All in all Bitcoin didn't get me into gambling, but it gives me more options and a wide variety of online sportsbooks to place my bets on. But I know a lot of people who were introduced to gambling by using Bitcoin.
2753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High bet amounts or low bet amounts? What is your style? on: June 11, 2016, 11:59:57 AM
I don't think there is any method when it comes to bet sizes. You can either play for fun with money you can afford to lose and bet all-in on your favorite team or you can follow a strict bankroll management and only risk up to 5% of your bank on bets. Obviously your bet amounts will be higher with a bigger starting bankroll but in the end you could always lose your money. Maintaining a proper bankroll management will just make you lose slower  Cheesy When I am feeling lucky or simply don't care much about the result I do some crazy parlay and just lump all my Bitcoin for the month on it. I will probably lose my money 90% of the time, but this money is not so vital for my survival. However if I win I will have made more money in 1 day than the whole year betting  Wink
2754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 11, 2016, 11:17:44 AM
Slovakia played very well against Germany in the friendly match and I am considering getting Slovakia +0 @ 1.995. I would go for the ML option but with Wales you never know, they may play great in defense tonight and get a draw so I prefer to go the Asian Handicap way for this match. Also the odds are great - it's almost even money so I think it's a good value bet in my honest opinion. As for England and Russia, England looks like a favorite on paper, but Russia can pull a surprise tonight. I would go for over 1.5 goals in that game, the odds are also pretty good @ 1.5. Switzerland has a better team than Albania, but I think Albania may score a goal today and I prefer to bet on over 1.5 goals again rather than picking Switzerland ML. Good luck to everyone betting today and most importantly have a lot of fun  Grin
2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: June 11, 2016, 10:32:50 AM
Hey mate this is actually a very tricky question you have there  Cheesy Personally I don't have a daily limit or something because I play just for fun and I am not chasing any losses. Also I don't have a fixed amount of profit I 'need' to achieve so I can stop at any time when I am not having fun any more simple as that. Fun is a subjective thing though and not having fun anymore might mean that I am loosing too much for the day or there simply aren't any interesting events to bet on so I just stop. But I know there are a lot of addicted gamblers who can't stop despite losing a lot of money because they think their bad luck will turn around but in reality this is not always possible.
2756  Economy / Economics / Re: The Economist predicted in 1988 that there would be a global currency in 2018 on: June 11, 2016, 06:59:19 AM
But Bitcoin is already a global currency and can be used worldwide except the few countries where it's banned or being banned right now. And I do agree that Bitcoin could become more mainstream till 2018 but I don't think Bitcoin will be able to unite all nations into a whole and make them drop their local currencies in favor of Bitcoin becoming the world's most popular currency. But who knows maybe in an utopian future people will be living in a world where they will be trading with aliens on a daily basis and they will be using Earth credits to do business like it's usually depicted in some of today's sci-fi movies  Cheesy Future money will be digital that's for sure and old stores of value like precious metals and paper money will be a thing of the past.
2757  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LONG TERM BITCOIN BUYERS on: June 11, 2016, 06:16:48 AM
Bitcoin is very different to traditional investments and I feel like comparing apples to oranges here because with the price of Bitcoin being so volatile one could get the same yield in just under one year where a 'normal' investment could have taken at least 2 or more years. But not everything is rainbows and unicorns when it comes to Bitcoin investments because the price swings are so big and so frequent that you may end up losing money and not gaining anything. I have set a rule for my Bitcoin investment where I access the market situation every year and if I think there is an opportunity to make a profit I sell. I believe 1 year is just about right when we are dealing with such a volatile commodity like Bitcoin.
2758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we still say that BTC transactions are faster? on: June 11, 2016, 05:57:14 AM
Bitcoin transactions are fast as long as you choose to include an adequate miners' fee. But I have had a couple of instances where the Bitcoin wallet I was using had technical problems and the transactions were slowed artificially and this happened mostly with the old Blockchain wallet. I think you either didn't include an optimal fee or there was something wrong with the Blockchain network for your transaction to have been unconfirmed for 1 hour. But if you are comparing Bitcoin to other digital money payment processors I am not so sure which one is faster, but Bitcoin is certainly more secure  Wink
2759  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: June 11, 2016, 05:45:56 AM
If Bitcoin crashed to just $1 this would mean the crypto coin is very much done and won't recover ever again. All the investors and miners would have taken such big losses given the huge investments in mining farms and Bitcoin infrastructure upgrades in companies specializing in Bitcoin payments that everyone will just leave the sinking ship and look or other brighter opportunities. Also no one will ever use Bitcoin as a store of value again because of sheer fear and the prospect of using it as a digital currency won't be any appealing either when you can have alt coins with higher value on the market.
2760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ? How To Respond To Someone Who Is Anti Bitcoin ? on: June 11, 2016, 05:34:19 AM
If I found out that the person I am talking with is really anti-Bitcoin and I am met with a lot of resistance from them I would just stop the conversation and find another subjects to talk about. It's very hard or almost impossible to change the opinion of people who have already made up their mind anyways so if you try to reason with them there is a chance that you will both get into a quarrel and you may end up looking like a jackass to your other friends presented at the party for example so my course of action would be to just stay away and don't get into trouble  Grin
