2741  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to announce yourself as a Newbie! on: July 15, 2021, 03:21:54 PM
Newbies don't need to announce that they are newbies or let other knows they just create their accounts.

They have freedom to announce it but it is unnecessary. They should read, learn and create topics when they need to ask anything. If they can find answers with search, don't post, don't create topic, keep learn with results they found, and keep doing this.

2743  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2 Simple Ways Crypto Whales Manipulate the Market on: July 15, 2021, 02:53:36 PM
Whales manipulate the market by

- Walls: buy walls and sell walls. With such, they will create temporary and fake support and resistance. Then price will be hold in between buy and sell walls. When times is on, those walls will be removed by whales or be eaten up by market participants (fomo or panic).
- News: they release news to buy up and break resistance or break down the suppport walls.
- Policy, regulation-related news: we are in eventful time with lots of fud, news from policies, regulations, crackdown, arrest, lawsuits, etc. Any coincidene, please think of it.
2744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Difficulty Bomb Delayed Again on: July 14, 2021, 11:38:45 AM
Those are pretty wild predictions. The last rally for Ethereum was based on the final specs for launch of ETH 2.0. I think people rushed for the 32 ETH requirement and that created this current price floor. Apart from that, there wasn't anything fundamentally new about Ethereum.

So expecting almost a 5X solely because of launching PoS is too optimistic. PoS has a different set of issues and hasn't really been done on this scale except in a fully centralized manner (as in case of Binance Chain).
In crypto, it is possible.

People did not believe that Ethereum can get its 2018 all time high, they said the altcoin will never touch that expensive price again.

Then what happened? Ethereum broke the cap $1,400 and soared to more than $4,100. They had many reasons to disbelieve in Ethereum because they saw Changpeng Zao shilled Binance Smart Chain and they can use BNB and that chain with very cheap transaction fee.

Ethereum will be like Bitcoin, beat all fud and opponents to get its new all time high. BNB can get a price of ETH in 2018 soon but it will need a few years to rise to $4,000 like ETH months ago.

The holdwave from Glassnode show many bitcoiners are hodling their bitcoin and even they bought at the 2017 All time high, they still have profit, even during the crash from $64k to $29k.

Take dips and do Dollar Cost Averaging.

2746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin that two people highly esteem on: July 14, 2021, 10:51:33 AM
Lately I've been seeing tweets from Elon Musk and Matt Wallace who very often glorify Dogecoin and even they both seem to dislike BTC and ETH, thus saying that the Dogecoin transaction system is faster and cheaper than BTC and ETH, even Elon Musk himself immediately said that Dogecoin will be superior to Bitcoin and Ethereum after upgrading.
How do you guys react to this kind of thing?
Dislike BTC, they don't. Because they do know that Bitcoin is the leader of crypto market. Their tweets are to manipulate the price of Bitcoin first, then the market. Bitcoin crashes, the whole market will be in red.

What they try to shill Dogecoin is for their benefits. There are many altcoin projects that are better than Dogecoin and Dogecoin will never be comparable to even Ethereum, so it will never reach to the level of Bitcoin.

Cheap transaction fees and fast transaction speed don't mean Dogecoin is better than Bitcoin.

Isn't it the standard? Some casinos that I know which also offers rakebacks and other bonuses does the same thing. Probably, one reason is to maximize the possible refers  of the casino's referral account. The bonus from that referral will be good even though some aren't wagering a lot, but you know, there are also lots of users that use their referral codes/links to be able to access their bonus. I believe it's the standard and nothing is wrong with it.

2748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Difficulty Bomb Delayed Again on: July 13, 2021, 11:46:35 AM
Same goes with Ethereum. Delaying some developments have reasons too but still the support with the coin is still the same. I don't like the idea of delaying such developments with the coin especially if its very beneficial to the community but when you released it on the date and it turns out to be a fail then it might cause the project and the coin to go down. Delaying for the betterment of the project would be better than to releasing it and it becomes a failure.

I don't think that people will get tired of ETH's inability to scale. After all like I said, there are many projects that are under the Ethereum blockchain so there will be users and supporters who will just live on how fast transaction speed of ETH is.
Upgrade and increase scalability are good but they are not decisive for the price of Ethereum, so do Bitcoin.

Soon people who are complaining and selling at this correction, accumulation time will buy Ethereum when it breaks $5,000 or $10,000. They will repeat what the crowd did with Bitcoin in 2017. No one thought Bitcoin would rise to almost $20,000 in 2017.

Ethereum, this year might get a price at 5 digits, $10,000.

The average bought price of institutes is around $30,000 and they will try to hold it as strong support.

We can not believe that they won't manipulate the market and dump the price deeper. They have too big capital and they can play with price, fud, and bring Bitcoin to lower price, just to help them accumulating more Bitcoin with same capital they want to spend.

Whatever their plans are, if price falls more, accumulate more, and do more DCAs.

If you are care about average price, you can do Dollar Cost Averaging or Satoshi Cost Averaging. Tools are there to help but it requires you to have patience, determination and long term vision.

Many people say they invest in Bitcoin but a few weeks later, a crash wipes them out from the market. They are fearful and call crashes as nightmare. They will come back and buy at top again, unfortunately.

2751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 12, 2021, 02:58:39 PM
I think that Dortmund would be happy to leave a player like Haaland for some more time to try to find a worthy replacement for his position, but if there is a really impressive amount, the club will sell the player, as it has already happened many times.
Haaland is matured enough and has an expensive transfer price on the market. Just because big clubs are not ready now and Dortmund don't want to sell both Sancho and Haaland. They will give big clubs another opportunity to buy Haaland, next year.

Quote
According to the latest information, the head coach of Chelsea in London, Tuchel, appealed to the club's management with a request to buy Haaland already in this summer window. I think that the activation of Chelsea in this direction may force other applicants for the player to also step up their efforts and the deal will really be able to take place in the near future.
Tuchel will face with big pressure in a new season. In history of Chelsea, coaches usually were sacked one season after they brought the club to final matches or won titles. It is more pressure if Abramovic gives Tuchel big transfer fund this summer.

Exactly, they are like a great player generating machine. All their great players go to big clubs in Europe. But I understand football is not just a title, football is a business for profit. Just look at 2016 Dortmund is very stable in the top five. It seems their management is also not a lot of pressure from the fans to win. At least Munich's dominance is very strong in the league.
Bayern dominate the Bundesliga in many decades, not just in a few seasons. They are the beast in Bundesliga and most of best players in Bundesliga want to join Bayern because the club is a guarantee that players will get the championship within a few seasons.
2752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 12, 2021, 02:21:01 PM
Harry Kane had to drop dip into their midfield yesterday and setup Sterling to launch counter attacks Sterling switched between two sides to create space I believed that was their game plan thus depriving Kane the opportunity to play as a standing nine that will limit his short on target, however the Italian defence were up the task while their midfielders also took most if the ball possessions while England defended in almost the entire duration of the match trying every possible means to defend their early goal unfortunately their game plan backfired.
That plan from Southgate only works in the first 10 to 15 minutes of the first half. After that, Italy control the match but they can not attack well till the last 10 minutes of that first half.

The second half is different when Italy dominates it since beginning and they even can score a decisive goal after the equalizer from Bonucci.

Yup, that was the plan before Italy scored. After the goal for 1-1 England went with 433 instead 343 (Trippier out for Saka) and I expected Kane to be that focal point again. England had 25 minutes in regular time and 30 in extra time to threaten again, which they failed to do.

Seeing the players that came off the bench, I can't help myself but to blame England that they did not push more for the win in regular time. The individual quality of the players in ET was by far on the english side but that was not really seen on the pitch.
It is what Kane played in Spurs in the last season and he does it too well in Spurs as well as in the final match. Just his team mates and Southgate don't have enough bravery to play more offensive against Italy.

In the extra time, England should use their younger players to beat Italy but Southgate again only try to wait from player moments. He does not want to change from substitutions. Grealish, Sancho or even Rashford can do better if Southgate gives them more time to show.

Mourinho will have an important loss at the beginning of the season, with Spinazzola injured.

He is an excellent left side, that Mourinho will have to find a replacement for the start of the season.

Do I think he will buy or will he use a side that is already on the squad?
He is not recognized before the Euro 2020 and football is a team sport so Mourinho will have enough time to fix the absence of Spina. He has a few months to fix it and I wish that Spina will return in the second half of Serie A 2021 - 2022.

Mourinho prioritizes for defense system so if in the pre-season training, he does not find any player to replace Spina, he might buy one from the transfer market. Roma have Davide Santon but Mourinho does not have impression with Davide. Let's see his assessment after the pre-season training.

ApeSwap $BANANA because the project is very active and their team are quickly responsive to technical things. A few months after they launched the project, the DeFi got issues with one bad listed token but their team reacted very transparently and quickly.

Then $BANANA recovered and rose to more than $10. Recent weeks, they integrated POLYGON for ApeSwap and with its price now, less than $1.5, it is very good to accumulate. Don't fear about loss at this price. You can see temporarily loss but if you make a long term investment, you will get profit

As the title says, here you will find more details about the news "Microsoft Is Using Bitcoin to Help Build a Decentralized Internet .
First of all, Microsoft will not use and rely on Bitcoin to build anything for that corporation. They can not bet on Bitcoin blockchain for the future of their corporation and investors might not believe in it too.

Second, if they build up any decentralized internet, they will build it on Microsoft blockchain (if they make one). With Microsoft blockchain, will the Internet be decentralized. I don't know. They can make a DAO for that Internet but the core still belong to Microsoft.

Bitshares has a very attractive chart, isn't it?

Bitshares price chart and with the volume is more than $10 million, you can consider to add this altcoin to your portfolio.

It won't give you short term profit because Bitcoin is holding by bear and bull in a very narrow price channel. Altcoins will have to wait for signal from Bitcoin. If you invest in Bitshares, you have to be very patiently and wait for good growth months later. If it is not last 5 months of 2021, you will have to wait for the first half of 2022.

With cryptocurrency, waiting is worth because it will bring your good profit.
2757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is firstly a ledger and secondly a currency. on: July 11, 2021, 06:45:45 AM
Bitcoin is either a currency or a digital asset. What it is will be different for each person.

If you use it as an asset to store your capital because you think it is a digital gold, it is an asset for you.
Another person can use it as a mean to move money, in a digitalized form, it is a currency.
Another person use it to gamble, it is a mean to gamble. It is not a currency or an asset for that one.

Unfortunately, I could not decode the BGL Segwit address  and immediately at the first step got an error. I am not strong in the code to change it myself for bgl... addresses Sad

Code:
Error: Invalid human-readable prefix, "bc" or "tb" expected
I did not say you can apply it for Bitgesell Segwit address. I shared that topic for Bitgesell developers and hope that they will look at it then develop something.

I know they have many priorities and this one can not be on top of their priorities. I only shared what I know and hope it is helpful for the team as well as the community. Maybe someone from the community can contribute something.

How do we make them realize the importance of ranking up and getting merits?
You can use the forum very well even if you don't rank up to Legendary member rank.

Make a few good posts and rank up to Junior member and can post with less restriction on waiting time between 2 posts. It is enough to enjoy the forum.
What are the time limits on posting and the levels??
I know 360 seconds are for new people like me, but was wondering if there was break down somewhere on this.

Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);

It can't be separated. Bitcoin and Blockchain or altcoins with Blockchain have an attachment and need each other.
The blockchain industry need all of them to grow, not only Bitcoin but Bitcoin is a backbone of this industry.

Quote
Blockchain becomes a ledger that will record every transaction made and the transaction is transparent and can be seen by anyone and cannot be deleted. Blockchain is like an Android system where applications run on that system.
It is not correct for all blockchains. Monero is a private and anonymous blockchain. Governments want to trace and break privacy, anonymity of Monero transactions but they have yet succeeded.

Quote
Bitcoin is arguably only one application of the blockchain system and there are many other applications ( Altcoins).
Each blockchain has different usecases and a cryptocurrency is part of one blockchain. Altcoins can have no usecases if they are scam coins.
