2741  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen after all bitcoin are mined on: May 03, 2021, 02:05:21 PM
But to more specific, there will be a time when all bitcoin would have been mined, during the time, will the time miners will be confirming transaction reduce from 10 minutes to 1s or a time lesser than a second. The reason is that the whole block reward scenerio will not be a reason at the time not to reduce the time for bitcoin transaction confirmation.
Never happen.

Per Protocol, the block time is 10 minutes. It can be longer or shorter than 10 minutes but never be in a few seconds. Some blocks can be mined with few seconds in between two continuous blocks. Those blocks are not common and the average block time is 10 minutes.

All about "stuck" transactions and what you can do to fix them (RBF and CPFP transactions)
Make sure to avoid wasting BTC for too high fees – step by step guide (Electrum). A guide to use RBF.
[TUTORIAL]getting a low-fee transaction unstuck by creating a CPFP with electrum
How to cancel Bitcoin transaction? (RBF and CPFP transactions)

Remember to mark your transaction as an opt-in RBF. It will help you have easier choice because RBF is easier to use than CPFP. In Electrum, RBF is chosen by default settings but make sure to double check the settings. If it is not chosen (by your misclick), choose it again.

When you broadcast your transaction, make double check too: Replace by Fee (on the right) will be True (should be) or False. If you see it as False, change the settings, check it again to make sure it is True.

It is not correct if you write that only Electrum wallet supports RBF or CPFP.

Have you tried to use Replace-by-Fee for your stuck transaction? Your transaction need to be an opted-in RBF to use it. If it is not, you only can use Child-Pay-for-Parents or free accelerators.
2744  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [tutorial] How to extend seed phrase in electrum wallet on: May 03, 2021, 03:37:54 AM
Hackers steal your seed when your store it online or in devices that you use to connect to Internet. Your devices need to be clean and seed backup need to be in encrypted files.

If you secure your devices well and don't connect it to the Internet more than you need, the risks of hacks will be less.

Many people use Notepad to store their private keys, seeds or passwords and it is too bad. Unencrypted and vulnerable to hacks.

Worthy to note.

Wallet with extended phrase is a different wallet than the one without extended phrase. If your create a wallet with extended phrase, and store your Bitcoin in that one, you must back up wallet seed (default) and extended one. Secure them and make sure you don't make typos for back ups.

If anything is inaccurate, you will get troubles when recover that wallet. At worst, you will lose your Bitcoin.
2745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What questions should I answer before I buy a new currency on: May 03, 2021, 03:28:25 AM
New cryptocurrencies. You need to clarify what are new cryptocurrencies.

New in your portfolio or new in the market. If they are new cryptocurrencies on the market, they are new born cryptocurrencies.

About them, risks must be awarded of
- Capability of developers are unknown.
- Their plans are only on paper (White paper, roadmap) and you will only know what they can do, achieve with time on the market and their real development, product, partnerships.
- I would prioritize to invest in projects with more than one year old.

It is about your risk management, taste of investment and your personal characteristics.
2746  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 03, 2021, 03:22:01 AM
I just see the update and yes, its not good to use wrong details, not unless you're planning to withdraw your funds and not to gamble using Roobet anymore. I'm fine filling up the KYC which requires basic information, and hopefully I don't get any tagged and required later on to provide documents, Roobet is still one of the best gambling site despite of this update, they run so many promotions and its worth the risk.
I see this issue differently. If you don't care about privacy and many people don't care about that. Let's finish KYC before using your account for trading or gambling. It is ridiculous that you don't care about privacy but reject to finish KYC and by doing this you also don't care about future risks.

If platform requires you to do KYC later and you fail with the process, your fund will be stucked.

It is different if you care more about your privacy, this way you will never allocate big fund on any centralized platform especially if you have yet finished KYC.
2747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uzbekistan legalizes cryptocurrency transactions on: May 03, 2021, 03:15:24 AM
Bitcoin or cryptocurrency transactions don't need legally acceptance from governments to be broadcasted on the networks.

The bad things are what will happen after a transaction already was broadcasted and confirmed. Governments can freeze your crypto address if it is on a centralized network and owned by centralized companies as Tether and Tether USD.

They can freeze your bank accounts. Many other things that can be requested by governments.

Fortunately, Bitcoin transactions are borderless, free of government controls and you can get privacy so h For connection and Coin Join transaction

What is the next Cryptocurrency technology? The Cross-Chain is a replacement for the Blockchain?
Cross-chain transactions. There are swap, conversion, and some wallets allow you to do this. The precious point is you have to pay more expensive fee if you want to have fast feature. Swap, conversion, cross-chain transactions, you can get them but afford for more charges.

I don't want to use them because of fee and uncertainty of security and privacy for my transactions and funds.

If I want to have privacy, I can use Bitcoin Coin Join transactions or Monero if I am really obsessed with privacy. Doing cross chain transactions through smart contracts is risky and don't make me feel safe.

Two-Factor Authentication and Privacy Option is now available!

You can now tighten the security of your account with 2FA (protects tipping and authentication)!

You can now hide your username and wagering information from other users!

Activate 2FA via account settings today!
This upgrade brings more customized options for users. First is for account security and protection with 2FA. Second is for privacy of gamblers if they want to hide information and don't want to publicly show details of their username and betting history.

I am not sure that all people know how to backup and secure their 2FA code appropriately.
- When you activate your 2FA, you have two options, scan the QR code or manually type (or copy and paste the long chain of 2FA secret phrase). I would like to use the second one.
- Copy and paste that phrase for your 2FA back up. Test the backup usability instantly when you activate your 2FA. Some people don't test its usability and if they make typoes or mistakenly, unintentionally delete one or few characters in backup file, they will not be able to recover their 2FA.
- Open support ticket to recover 2FA is not bad but it takes time, and you won't control your account as you should do.
- Don't store your 2FA secret code online and in unencrypted file.
2750  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Lost Blockchain password on: May 02, 2021, 03:05:08 AM
If you have you wallet ID and have access to the email that was used to register that wallet, you can brute force your wallet password. In order to mak the brute force process faster and easier, you need to give the computer some characters that you think or remember they are parts of your wallet password.

https://youtu.be/rMtW8vIHHek

If you can not brute force it, you can use trusted wallet recovery services such as https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=240779.0. That service is given by DaveF who is a trusted member in this forum.
2751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not yet at $100k, why? on: May 02, 2021, 02:56:35 AM
If you have Bitcoin or just fraction of Bitcoin, and believe that it will has a price @100k, let's turn off your computer for a few months and let the market runs in its way. Months later or years later, you will see Bitcoin has a price at $100k or higher.

In the meantime, you can enjoy your life and don't feel stressful why Bitcoin does not hit @100k.

In March 2020, many people lost belief and asked when Bitcoin will hit the 2017 all time high but not long time after March, Bitcoin broke that ATH cap and even moved up above $64k.
2752  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Currency Usage on: May 02, 2021, 02:26:38 AM
Cryptocurrencies have different use cases.

They are storage assets as Bitcoin and maybe big altcoins as Ethereum or Binance time BNB.

They are payment methods for your purchases and especially economic savings if you use altcoins with fast transaction speed and low transaction fee.

They are targets of speculation, gambling, fund conversion: fiat to cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin to altcoins.
2753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My crypto portfolio, please give me some feedback on: May 01, 2021, 11:53:47 AM
Altcoins will be killed when Bitcoin creates a signal of bear market. You can hold those shit coins in your portfolio and try to take profit when the bull market is on going.

If you see the crypto market is jumping to bearish time, you have three choices and choose any of them is your decisions.
- Bitcoin
- Fiat
- Stable coins.

Bitcoin is my choice. If I don't keep my fund in Bitcoin (in bear market), I will keep it in fiat. Why I don't choose stable coins? They are risky cryptocurrency and worse than fiat such as strong fiat like US Dollar. Stable coins: not stable, centralized, can be frozen, high inflation.
2754  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Custodial crypto exchange hack as usual on: May 01, 2021, 11:46:42 AM
Luckily for Hotbit users, this was just a database leak that didn't result in any loss of coins. What they can expect now, are various phishing emails telling them their funds are at risk, and providing fake links to either change their passwords or download an update of their mobile apps which turns out to be malicious software. Users of some SIM providers can expect SIM swap attacks as well. T-Mobile and AT&T are two providers I remember have been vulnerable to these types of attacks in the past.
I use different emails for different exchanges. With small or new exchanges, I use emails that I never use it to create accounts on big exchanges. If I have my biggest fund on a big exchange like Binance, I will use one email for it. That email will never be used to register accounts on any other exchanges. Especially NO, if they are small exchanges.

2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 30, 2021, 05:19:52 AM
As Mourinho said once about the same situation with Spurs: I got 3 points and they can keep the ball Tongue
What Mourinho experienced in Spurs is weird. The teams that are managed by Mourinho have very bad ability to secure 3 points if they score first. In Spurs, they can not secure many three points in this season. Weird that Mourinho can not fix it because it is one of his best management ability. It can be the limitation in quality of defenders but can be from their uncontrollable minds.

Mourinho help Spurs improved and scored many goals even they play with counter-attack tactic. In the first season, Mourinho complained about that but it is unacceptable that in the second season, Spurs won't have good improvements in defense.

Full Time Barcelona vs Granada 1-2.

Suddenly I was surprised by the first goal from Granada in the second half because I think they have the potential to beat Barcelona if the score is still the draw. In fact, Granada did manage to beat Barcelona with a score of 1-2 which in the end made Barcelona fail to lead the Laliga standings. I am very disappointed today because Barcelona lost, they just wasted a big opportunity after so long. The result of this match is beyond the prediction of most people.
[/quote
Barcelona lost their hope as La Liga has very few matches to play. This La Liga looks very exciting but weird. I consider this season as a competition to find a best clubs between non-best clubs. Four clubs in the top 4 and in the trophy competition have their problems and they lost many points. It is hard to say they deserve to be the Champions of La Liga.
2756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2021, 03:44:04 AM
Manchester United 6 - 2 Roma
Villarreal 2 - 1 Arsenal

A tennis result again and it seems Manchester United always bring nightmare to AS Roma. More than 1 decade ago, Man Utd. beat AS Roma with a tennis result in Old Trafford too.

The first leg results bring the hope for England final match between Manchester United and Arsenal. Arsenal lost the match but with one goal, they can hope to go next.

AS Roma played badly today to have let those goes keep coming, they didn't play like a top team at all. The game wasn't anymore entertaining, really disappointing.
They played well in the first half in Old Trafford. The second half is a nightmare for them.

don't forget that Roma were able to turn the tables on Barcelona in the champions league before, but there is no way they can do that against manchester united, it was a day to forget, 6-2 is a humiliating score.
They can if the result is 4 - 2. AS Roma collapsed after the 4th goal from Manchester United. 2 other goals put the end for AS Roma hope.

They have not bad first half and even took a lead 2 - 1 but the second half changed all. The last 2 goals are very bad for them. 6 - 2 is too big result and I don't think AS Roma will be able to win with aggregated result and join the final match.
2757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 30, 2021, 03:35:23 AM
Yes, Liverpool isn't weak enough. They still have a chance to beat Man United if They are serious. But, as long as we watch the match, They are still confort with their zone with a reason "We cant be a winner because our team have many injured players". Jurgen klop have said that He gave up with his team, this words have showed to us that Liverpool cant reach the 4th position and join in the Champion league. I dont have a good hope for Liverpool. They have made me dissapointed.
Confidence is key in real matches. PSG in Champions League is an example. In Ligue I, they lost many points in this season and it is very different from many recent seasons. In Champions League, they got big improvement in the past season with a final match. That achievement gives them strength and confidence to move to semi final so far.

However, their problems in Ligue I this season shows effects in Champions League. After the equaliser from Manchester City, PSG lost their confidence and lost the game too easily. In the first half, PSG dominate the game and all things changed too quicklly after the equaliser.

Liverpool is not a weak team but their confidence has been damaged a lot in this season. In good season, team like Liverpool can win matches with their secondary squad, not the main one. It is very different than this one, when they are struggling to take three points with main squad and against middle or lower teams on the table.

Many gates for you to enter the cryptocurrency market: bank transfer, different types of cards (debit, credit, etc). You can use them to buy Bitcoin and use Bitcoin to buy Monero.

You can buy Monero directly on some exchanges too.

In my opinion, best option is buy Tether USD (if you can not buy Monero dirrectly) and move it on TRC20 chain to your exchange account. Use  your USDT to buy Monero.

Last but most important, move your Monero coin to your wallet, please don't store it on any exchange if you don't trade your Monero.

It is a privacy coin and the most favorite target to attack, shutdown by governments. And not your keys, not your coins.

Download Monero wallet and verify it: https://www.getmonero.org/downloads/

You are strongly advised to verify the hashes of the archive you downloaded. This will confirm that the files you downloaded perfectly match the files uploaded by the Monero development workgroup. Please don't underestimate this step, a corrupted archive could result in lost funds. Always verify your downloads!
2759  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: April 30, 2021, 01:57:19 AM
Not yet, but even when the network is congested, I have never seen any withdrawal transactions from the casinos have not received confirmation. I don't know which way they used it, but the transactions from the casinos are always processed quickly and will be available in your wallet for a short time. Maybe transaction fees will be higher due to withdrawals request from many different customers?
Casinos or exchanges do batch transactions and they are able to spend transaction fee at top of mempool. They don't get loss on their sides because they charge very expensive withdrawal fee on customers. Very little casinos waive withdrawal fees for customers.
2760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction fees: send or wait on: April 29, 2021, 10:03:08 AM
To predict the fee market it is more accurate to predict the price because the main thing affecting the number of on-chain transactions hence the fee spikes seems to be the price. Whenever there is a big jump or a big drop there is a lot of people buying and selling bitcoin which requires moving a lot of bitcoin (to and from exchanges) that creates the on-chain traffic hence the fee spike.
Recently the fees came down mainly because the panic sell ended (of course partly because the hashrate went back to normal).

In a couple of days even if hashrate increases and difficulty drops so that miners find more blocks per day, if the price starts jumping up (eg. reaching $70k) we will end up seeing a fee that is higher than the fee from past week.
I can not disagree. Price is key of transaction fee changes on the network. Rises or falls will cause higher transaction fees. It is not a matter of how difficulty is and hashrates.

Miners temporarily turn off some of their rigs to exploit panic from senders. Same difficulty, less miners, lower hashrates are only worse for senders. Miners don't lose Bitcoin or satoshi and they indeed eran more Bitcoin or satoshi by confirm transactions with higher or more expensive fees.
