2741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really inevitable? on: November 07, 2022, 06:05:38 PM
There are pulls and pushes from government for a regulatory mechanism, but so far nothing concrete. I don't think so they will put regulations all of a sudden, but yes it will be done slowly in steps. Infact they can't regulate the whole crypto ecosystem, so I assume yes in future there will be regulatory mechanisms, but they will quasi regulations.

Let's see this as much applicable to other cryptocurrencies than with bitcoin, there's high probability that other currencies will continue to maintain being under regulations just as they have already been, but we cannot derive a conclusion with bitcoin to being centralized because it is a decentralized network already and governments have been finding this a major thing of concern they never got a solution to.
2742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 05, 2022, 02:19:42 PM
I will prefer choosing lottery in my decision because the common nees about lottery winnings were always a big win and am not saying others cannot get as bigger or even more for a winning but that with lottery is common even though it's now a rare thing to see gamblers winning lottery, secondly i will go for sport bettings as well, the more the risk and the stake you make the more the tendencies of winning big.
2743  Economy / Economics / Re: friend I want to invest short term in bitcoin and crypto. to meet their living a on: November 05, 2022, 02:14:33 PM
a friend of mine came to me and he asked, is it possible to invest in bitcoin and crypto for the short term,? which is to meet daily needs, and I am confused to answer because I am still a beginner in bitcoin and crypto. and I want to ask everyone about it?

Good question, being a beginner it is very important to note that starting an investment eith bitcoin is the most preferred advise you can get from this forum because it set you on a safer edge from other fraudulent source of investment that many get involved and end in disappointments, bitcoin investment is not what you can be getting a daily return on your investment each day as profits as other cryptocurrencies or centralized exchanges do promise, all you need is to invest and hold for a longer time of two or more years for you to realize a rise from the initial buying price to a new all time high value before you can then sell and realize your profit, this means you buy the dip and sell high whenever it surges, bitcoin isn't like other ponzi schemes, it's a currency and an asset you could rely on it future profitability, i would have also advise you go for trading but since you're a newbie this could be more dangerous to you because you may equally end up loosing since you don't know how to do so.
2744  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: November 05, 2022, 01:54:28 PM
Moral education is the key to stopping corruption, currently many countries make departments or institutions to control corruption, but the cost for these institutions is very large and the result is that corruption is not reduced, but if the state has a long -term plan, it must be taught from an early age.

This same moral character start from the home where each child comes from, their must be proper orientation about the way a child is expected to live his life at home, in school or in the society, children can always remember what had been taught because they have a retentive memory, let's build up our children right from home so that they will stand out amidst corrupt individuals in any place they find themselves.
2745  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: November 04, 2022, 03:16:07 PM
We should all know that corrupt does not only start with bad leadership or money laundering, even the young ones engage in corrupt practices, as long as you engage doing something that your mind forbids and go against the act, doing things the wrong way is part of ways to exhibit corruption but we all try to defend ourselves to assume those in political powers as the only corrupt individuals, so our children were expected to learn that lying and other forms of falsification is part of what constitute corruption, it all started with inability yo curb moral interest at early stage.
2746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sports and entertainment industries could play a big role in Bitcoin adoption. on: November 04, 2022, 03:05:12 PM
The sports and entertainment industries gets more attention to themselves unlike other industries. I believe also that they have or share fans that are into blockchain as well. If these two industries looks into blockchain I believe there would be a strong massive adoption as a result of their total engagement with their fans if they constantly accept Bitcoin payment for their shows and events.

That's a good thought of an idea but surprisingly we have alot of industries already into the adoption of the blockchain technology right now while some are still coming in, they got a number of deals to sign MoU with their representing companies or organizations to implement this and i think accepting bitcoin as a payment currency is already in place to an extent, though may not have gone widespread, some were even showing the bitcoin advertisement in their live matches and spectators uses the option of bitcoin to serve as payment in specific locations where acceptable, but know that this does not got limited to the sport and entertainment industry alone, other industries where involved as well such as medical, tech, education and even political professions all uses the decentralized network of blockchain in one way or the other together with bitcoin.
2747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Important message to every crypto investors on: November 04, 2022, 02:36:03 PM
We all intend to get rich but not everyone will bebat the same time, knowledge about Cryptocurrency is a wide coverage whereby newbies bneed time to read and revise through before they can understand the meaning behind everything, but we make them understand that choosing bitcoin as a starting point for better safety is most preferred than searching round about for alternative coins, this will help every beginning have a good and sound background to work upon and build an undeniable experience with bitcoin when starting.
2748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 03, 2022, 08:57:35 AM
But his reasons were nit genuine enough, why should he have much concerns about his family thanbthe public wwho may attack him, i dont know if his name was actually written on the prize winning if not his wife and children together with any other external person can easily got him identified, I think he needs not to cover his face but his name and personal information, his family can't be a threat to him but outsider can, they may decided to attack him, moreover also in avoiding his family, does that mean he wont allow them to know and enjoy the money received and spend everything to himself, this man seems to be more careful about his family than the general public.
2749  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Get Rich or At least Not go Broke During a Recession? on: November 03, 2022, 08:49:13 AM
I've seen several occasions whereby people get rich and along the way return back being poor and this does not necessarily have to have the implact from inflation, getting riches is synonymous to having enough money toncarter for present wants, but many get carried away by larvish spendings on liabilities instead of investing on asset, recession will be a shake to test the regidity of your financial capacitation and standings and what determines this is wjen you have a back up investment to sustain with despite current challenge, many fails to backup their imcom with alternative and take the whole risk onna single venture and when recession set in it becomes inevitable to handle.
2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Important message to every crypto investors on: November 03, 2022, 08:36:19 AM
I came recently about this thread on bitcoin discussion board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5419048.msg61220125#msg61220125 which talks about decrease in bitcoin volume and i love the immediate response givennto the thread with examples of how bitcoin started andbwhere it is today in market volume, the fact that people assume, post, thought or suggest an idea doesn't validate the genuity of it all, I can't say much about other cryptocurrencies but should incase you need more clarification about the market volume to bitcoin then you can follow up the thread discussion from the link provided.
2751  Other / Meta / Re: Why this thread of mine has been deleted? on: November 02, 2022, 01:52:28 PM
OP having your post deleted by the forum moderator is an unquestionable act, instead you should query yourself for making a mistake that could have led to that, you aren't a novice anymore to the forum, then why should you get so worried about your post being deleted? If i were you I would rather sit to correct myself and make the right thing that is need and post it appropriately as expected, first of all you aren't admitting the fact that you've made a mistake, should incase you don't know, forum moderators were selected to pass across fare judgement on people like you to have a coordinate organization of postings, so that you won't discover something funny one day unexpected with a post on any board.
2752  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pump isn't coming sooner on: November 02, 2022, 01:43:27 PM
The truth is they don't know what's coming, bear market can last longer than they think, it will get to the point where many will give up or about to give up before things start changing.

Believing in whatsoever assumption anyone can cook up will only give a depression for an heart attack with investing on bitcoin, thaat is why it is very important to DYOR all by yourself, if you truly know about bitcoin then you will know what you're in for even when others are saying or seing the contrary, if you must get convinced with by a tangible fact then diviving into the history of bitcoin from previous years could give more insight on how it has been falling and rising back in multiple of folds, the experienced bitcoiners have learnt to pay less attention to news and concentrate on their study and research for possible future prediction on the bitcoin chart.
2753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: November 02, 2022, 01:22:07 PM
The BANDESAL is not denying that bitcoin has been bought using funds from the 150M $ Trust it custodies or otherwise. What it is saying is that, due to banking privacy laws, it cannot reveal any type of information related to its activity; more specifically, related to bitcoin purchases.

The status of El-Savador's bitcoin holding remain unpredictable to the public since everyone tends to come out to prove that it investment with bitcoin is not right and using from the country's treasury to buy bitcoin is against ethical of a leader but i think if holding up information about their current bitcoin holdings can make oeace in this regard then it's fine, as long as El-Savador or the administration led by Bukele is not having other intentions that could bring the country's economy into more worst then it buying decision, holding and being private with their capacity level with bitcoin is well considered a good steps altogether.
2754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: November 01, 2022, 03:43:54 PM
Gambling has no age!

In fact, we have been gambling since childhood. We bet on football, basketball or a different type of sport with our friends. Any drink or chocolate, chips, etc. we play games in exchange for things.  In this way, the desire to gamble is formed for everyone from an early age. Therefore, there is no need to be an obligation to play at older ages on betting platforms either. Therefore, there is no need to be an obligation to play at older ages on betting platforms either. As a result, people at this age are not likely to think wisely. Because they have just come out of adolescence, they may not make the right decisions and may owe too much.

Yiu can be right to a certain limit because the gambling we do while young is just a mere child's play to compare to the present days gambling that involved money, children count gambling as playing games, guessing and having fun through the means with each others but today's gambling advanced system cannot be compared to the old childhood one, if the children got exposed at early age this present dispensation then it will affect their way of life negatively since there are alot of things to consider for children at early stage than gambling, government also restrict children below the age of 18yrs as underaged for participating in gambling.
2755  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: November 01, 2022, 03:34:51 PM
Power will give us say inbthe community but money can help us exercise the power effectively to an extent where it won't be a barrier to determine our voice been heard, the two is very important for man to live an influential life that will make impact on people especially those that are the public figures, power is very essential to make leadership positions, money also is very important to make a living and impact others in life.
2756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin’s security be at risk as a result of this update? on: November 01, 2022, 02:51:27 PM
Furthermore, those who had taken short positions against BTC BTC were also liquidated during this small price increase. Despite this encouraging trend, things didn’t appear to be going well for miners in the ecosystem.

It seems like you're a miner or rather have someone close to you been a miner but that is nit enough fact to conclude on such assumptions and if you have invested already in the past that after your buying comes in the dip in price makes to to loose hope that miners have gone liquidated, this little shift in price towards $20.6k range is resistive to go below than maintaining the uptrends, you should ask yourself what have the miners been feeding at since the previous dip before now, this will gives you more insight about bitcoin volatility, where you get the ATH and ATL and miners had been making it through since ever then, so this shouldn't be a different case for creating an alarm.
2757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 31, 2022, 10:49:38 AM
You can when you won a huge amount

You can when you lose a huge amount

You can anytime you want

You have to when you're wife tells you to

There are many reasons other than these to serve a point to mark a stoppage to gambling especially whenbthe health condition of a gambler isn't the type that want any rise in temper, professional position or politics appointment also can make such decision come to reality, if the wife and family had been complaining of being irresponsible because you gamble with every earnings made then you've got no option than quitting, it rare to win big and quit but you can reduce the rate at which you gambles while loosing big amounts i think should be a lesson taught on not to play with such amount tou can't afford loosing, but still not enough reason to stop gambling except if after such, the gambler was sued and jailed, in conclusion, the only determining factor to stop a gambler from gambling is self, whenever such gambler stand up to declare one day that he's no more interested in gambling else it could be a difficult thing to stop gamblers from gambling.
2758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stupid or Not on: October 31, 2022, 10:39:53 AM
I told him the risk still persists, you have to keep the phrase safe still but other friends of his are saying its good idea..this is why I decide to hear from the bitcointalk audience, what do you think.
Safety is not in continuous changing of the wallet address used but in the type of wallet used, they means adopted to safeguard the keys and kw careful the user is to maintain maximum caution in securing his wallet details against a third party user, we most times lack the proper orientation once it comes to security because the leakage to been hacked, scammed or defrauded all begins from our mistakes which we count as minor thing before it eventually turns as entry point to attack us, if he thinks he won't get things twisted for himself then fine, but it may always comes in with a demerit in most cases.
2759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - How high can it go? on: October 31, 2022, 10:08:31 AM
It is not a lot but it is slowly growing and I have many other Altcoins I am invested in so can't put everything into Bitcoin.

It's good to diversify investment but choosing altcoins as alternative over bitcoin isn't good enough, you'd better prefer other investment assets than alts as alternatives but if you think the risk involved is not beyond what you can bear enough, then you can be ok with such.

I am wondering what everyone thinks this the price of Bitcoin can realistically get to? $100k? $250k? $500k? $1m?

If you need the accurate answer to this then it's something you can derive on all by yourself, just got deep into the history of bitcoin since 2009 and check the major events that has happened, compare the all time high to the all time low and hiw this has been a continuous process within every four years interval and see how bitcoin has been volatile and ever increasing in value, such could help you predict by yourself what the future may tells andbhiwbfar it could go higher.

I am happy holding Bitcoin for the next 10 years or more if it reaches these prices above.

If you really meant business then in this you have to really practice the holding indeed and if will definitely pays than you've expected from it.

I am just debating if I should continue to DCA into Bitcoin or sell all and put into stronger altcoins which will see better ROI over the next few years.

Why are you compromising things here, you've made ut right already by investing with bitcoin, adopt the right technique with DCA, now you're introducing a spoil into it, bitcoin is the only digital currency recognized as an asset and recommended for for an investment while others were at your risk.
2760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Why We Prefer Online Casinos to Land-based Casinos on: October 29, 2022, 02:44:02 PM
I can't see any further reasons better than the ease of aceessibilty with online casino without location or time barrier, there's more of privacy as well when it comes to online gambling, everything is done at the comfort of the mobile phone instead of locating a casino house, the services online could also be as fast as possible without any waste of time or delay and the issue of cash availability has also be solved since gamblers can easily make deposit or withdrawal from their casino wallet address and gamble immediately.
