okcoin and huobi volumes are obviously fake. don't think there is any reason for them to generate a week worth of volume in just 1 day. it's just ridiculous.

smart people have bought in when it was below $220 and can now simply wait and enjoy seeing the price go up slowly but steady.

Before oct,30 I think it will hit the price 265$-280$. We nned to trust and dont miss it. then before dec it will jump in the price of 290-320...Thats my speculation..
seeing anything above $300 takes a lot time and there will be numerous attempts to let it not reach the $300 level. there is simply not enough demand for $300 this year. |

I consider myself as a shorter so I guess in this term it will go up until $280 and go down from there. That means profit time and wait until the next low.
i will short at $270 and wait to buy back at sub $250 if everything goes according to plan. with bitcoin you simply can't be sure of anything. |

I'm getting the feeling I had in Spring 2013.
Feels like forever. I just hope it drops down to €210 or €200 so I can buy one more before it takes off. But it will most likely take off either way. And I won't be surprised if it goes beyond 4 digits ($5000 for a start). $5000 as a start? and what do you believe is the new ath price at full?  stop dreaming and focus on more realistic targets for the moment. |

People will always spend their bitcoin, you can't force not to spend it. People will have the ultimate control over their bitcoin.
forcing people to not spend is just beyond insane. bitcoin is made to be spent on thing. that's freedom. we decide what to do with our coins.  |

We already break $250 barrier, so i think it's just matter of time for bitcoin price to reach $260-$270 as long as short-term holders don't dump their coins.
Also, I'm sure we will see $260 by the end of this year.
$260 by the end of this year can be achieved very easily. that's not a problem. seeing the price break through the $300 level is different. |

Get those sell fingers ready. We are nearing the peak of this rise. Place sell orders at 260-270 if you have not done so already.
who says we're nearing $260-$270? it's likely to see the price touch $255 and then probably fall back to under $250 again as the support at $250 is very poor. |

Just make it with BIP38 encryption. You can let it everywhere you like if you use a very strong password.
and what if you lose that very strong password. hiding a paper wallet in a clock or elsewhere safe is more than enough to be able to find it back. |

Don't worry the entire market is fake anyway but within a few hours there will be a massive 'dump' again and we'll be back at 240 or lower.

Wow, they're not even hiding the fact they're copying bitcointalk... Even section names are pretty much the same. They're offering 4 BTC for the best post nothing wrong with that. Healthy Competition imo you can also see it as marketing. they have to earn a place in this market as it is beyond difficult to come even close to bitcointalk. offering rewards may get people interested to join them. |

Random billionaire to take an interest in Bitcoin would change things.
There are plenty of them in China that's for sure.
if 1 billionaire is going to actively invest in bitcoin then others will follow. this everything can bring bitcoin into a new bubble phase. but this is purely speculating. |

I do see a slow upward trend forming again, let's just hope something like the XT debate doesn't interfere again like last run to 300+
most people realize the whole xt thing won't last very long. there are now 2 versions of xt client out. both versions have around 200 nodes each connected at the moment. not much to worry about. |

everytime we come close to $250 the price goes down again. it's currently not the right time i guess. but as soon as we break through the $250 on bitstamp and bitfinex we'll advance further.

there is no point in thinking about $10,000 per bitcoin right now as we can't even manage to break through the $300 price level. my targets are more in the range of $500-$700 for the comming years.
