2741  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some corona related domains we should avoid. (Warned by DCP Cybercrime) on: March 31, 2020, 03:02:08 PM
Funny how these websites freely exist on the entire Google Search engine, yet any Coronavirus related YouTube video gets demonetized.

Most Many sketchy websites are hosted on non-common domains such as ".xyz". If you see such domains, you should question the website from the beginning. Not saying all of them are full of malware or fake, but most of them unfortunately are.
2742  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SOS.BInance going to adquire coinmarketcap - END of decentralization and crypto on: March 31, 2020, 11:08:32 AM
CMC was already a poo with far too much power that it didn't deserve or earn. Nothing much will change. Perhaps Binance will be a bit more rapid to respond to the blatant piss taking.

And some say CMC was owned by the Bytecoin/HitBTC/Freewallet/Changelly/Cointelegraph mafia so it didn't have the most fragrant ownership to start with.

As for decentralisation, wut?

But what if 2-3 years later Binance will own most of the largest utilized websites and services in our crypto sphere? I feel like that's the true danger of these moves: when you'll want to access a service and know that no matter what you go for you're going to use Binance's service, that becomes a Facebook-like shitty situation.

On the other hand though, I guess even if we try our best not to make a corporation head towards this move, there will always be someone willing to take in more power and more profit. Thanks God there are great people working on providing our crypto sphere the best services, but decentralized.
2743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance may acquire the Coinmarketcap by 400 Million USD! on: March 31, 2020, 10:57:52 AM
Why is CMC known for "helping scammers"? Because they are listing any coin that pops up? I think this is what decentralization is supposed to mean, isn't it? Like everyone should have the right to develop literally anything - now that doesn't mean we all have the right to develop scams and ponzi schemes, but you get my point.

I personally think Binance purchasing CMC is a bad idea. Binance is worth billions and it's literally turning into a multinational-like business. If CZ is going to buy CMC and then start purchasing exchanges and all that too, it means he's looking for power. We don't want some Bitcoin owners and investors to become the next Facebook or Google, do we?
2744  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic crisis is Hoax? COVID19 Not Deadliest one! on: March 30, 2020, 11:45:34 PM
Can't compare COVID-19 with other diseases. Not yet. The peak can only be estimated but only when the pandemic ends we'll have a proper comparison. The economic crisis isn't a hoax tho, it's very real and in a matter of weeks or months it'll be felt most likely all around the world.

People losing jobs, prices of your daily products rising, salary reduction, those in debt losing their properties etc. Except the last example (which will happen in a matter of months), all of them are already here..
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will crypto space look like? on: March 30, 2020, 08:30:06 PM
Limiting the number of cryptocurrencies is a shit idea. We either go fully decentralized or I'd rather stick with fiat. Although there are so many shitcoins out there, we have to remember we are all free to do anything we like on here. I don't support scams and shitcoins, but you can't limit the idea of freedom.

If there were only 20 coins out there, the prices would probably look way more stable and we'd have no more pumps and dumps. I believe there's going to be a day when shitcoins will disappear off CMC and exchanges and only the legit and strong ones will survive. Time will tell.
2746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Old lesson: Don't rely on your phone. Always save your wallet seeds on: March 30, 2020, 06:42:27 PM
It truly is a shame that there are wallets out there allowing you to use them without first backing up AND verifying your seed. Although I've been using cryptocurrencies for many years and have plenty of experience, I also still skip the most important part of using a wallet especially when I know I'm only going to use it for a very short period of time.

But what if you have to send $1k, you load the short-term wallet and exactly at that moment your phone goes into a bootloop?

I've lost my password to an online wallet before without saving my seed. You don't want to know how it feels to be able to see your balance but not to spend it without the password youll never recover again.

Back it up. Take these minutes to back up your seed, you'll be thankful if this ever happens to you.

Not all hope is lost,
1. If (..)
Damn it! I wanted to post initially a reply specifically to ask whether the phone storage could be saved but apparently I forgot. Meanwhile, someone else was faster.. Cheesy
2747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people here would choose bitcoin as their form of payment? on: March 30, 2020, 05:35:14 PM
I would, no doubt. No way I'd choose fiat over BTC.

The change in total circulating USD is already showing its true face but people don't want to see the truth. Prices are going up, yet we're being told it's because of the pandemic. It is one of the reasons but not the only one.

Just wait until people start realizing this is not just a pandemic but also one of the largest economical crashes in our history.
2748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Best Cryptocurrency to buy in 2020 on: March 30, 2020, 03:38:51 PM
Just check top 20 cmc if you want to find new projects to buy. Rest of them are bullshit mostly

A significant part of the top 20 cmc coins are bullshit too. Market cap doesn't mean anything significant to me at all.

What I would not risk unless a coin has some impressive and amazing features is investing my money in coins with low exchange liquidity and volume. If you don't plan to literally gamble your money and see your portfolio change by 50% in a day, don't put your koney in them.

I'd personally not risk especially during these times. You may need money urgently at some point.
2749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Innovation is key, but good community is more important. on: March 29, 2020, 08:56:29 PM
There are some genius ideas out there already existing that nobody's heard of and there are some people still looking for a way to create them without even knowing it's already out there in the wild.

I, for instance, have never even heard of exrates. Vitalik posted a tweet a few days ago where he said we should find a way to exchange BTC for ETC or vice-versa in a decentralized manner without even knowing the technology is already out there, implemented in Komodo's Atomic DEX.

I guess it's not only about community. There are lots of factors contributing to a successful project. Binance maybe isn't the first to add the Nigerian Naira gateway, but it's one of the top (or even the no.1) exchanges in the world.

Compare that to me starting a little charity to donate 500 people food and then some billionaire comes out and says they'll donate food to a million people. Not the first to do it, but it surely does have a much larger impact and way more people have heard of this billionaire than of me, right? Smiley
2750  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 User apply in same campaign, it's bounty cheater? on: March 29, 2020, 08:44:13 PM
Forum rules do not prohibit people from having multiple accounts, but having multiple accounts is not recommended. Therefore, the rule that you stated is only the rule of the majority of bonus campaigns.
Most bonus programs forbid the use of alt accounts so if someone with 2 accounts participated in a bonus campaign he would break the law.

Why exactly do you think it isn't recommended? One might want to have a secondary account where they'll expose their political views because they don't want to be judged so having a secondary account makes their primary one considered "safe". Having multiple accounts and joining a campaign with 2 accounts are two completely different things.
2751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: March 29, 2020, 07:13:20 PM
If by "research" you mean looking up to see whether the project will be listed on large exchanges, then you're very wrong yourself. If you haven't heard about this yet, there have been quite a lot of instances where a coin has been added to an exchange by bribing the exchange owners. And a cryptocurrency is not all about "when binance" or "when moon".

Look for projects that you think truly do have a future and a potential. Don't you think that a project which is going to be listed on a large exchange cannot disappear off it as easy as it was added. There are only a few alts I truly support and I have supported them with all the delistings and listings they had yet. A listing/delisting doesn't influence my opinion at all about the coin.

Do some real research. See if your supported project has a real potential and isn't a copycat, a scam or a shitcoin. Remember: BitConnect was listed on some of the best exchanges in the world. Smiley
2752  Economy / Services / Re: ✨BITCOIN GENERATOR✨ | MAKE MORE THAN 5000$/MONTH | SEMI-AUTOPILOT on: March 29, 2020, 05:47:31 PM
You don't even have a well written text for your scam and you want to tell me you're going to make me $5k a month? What's the point if you can basically keep adding your earned profit to the total balance of your autopilot and earn millions in an year? How the fuck would my €50 payment help you with anything at all when you have the money-making machine? Cheesy

Let me correct your title:
✨BITCOIN GENERATOR✨ | MADE MORE THAN 5000$/MONTH (by scamming others) | SEMI-AUTOPILOT
2753  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin explained in a simple way - feedback needed on: March 29, 2020, 06:33:30 AM
Go for it then!

The problem is that everyone tries to simplify the explanation of BTC but few to none actually achieve that. I had countless encounters with new-to-crypto people and it's so damn hard to explain something you understand very well to someone who's never heard of/used it before. It's like trying to simplify rocket science explanation to someone who barely knows the basics of science..
2754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who else here got some KickToken? on: March 29, 2020, 01:06:11 AM
I also received this token however I found out that this is frozen until you make a transaction on their site, make trades but how they will know about it? The instruction is not clear or maybe I am missing something because it doesn't include on how to link my ETH wallet? or is that needed? I don't know maybe someone will enlighten me about it.
I really think this token is shady enough for you to not waste your time with it. If they wanted to give it for free, they would've given it without freezing the balance through smart contracts. Shady as fuck, so let them be.

I received my 888,888KICK too but I refuse to sell them. Even if it was a great project (haven't read anything about it yet and I don't even want to), I still wouldn't have moved a single token. I'm just kinda angry they filled up 3 of my ETH wallets with their crapcoin.
2755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paranoid about anonymity on: March 29, 2020, 12:57:18 AM
7 years in the game, getting closer to 8. Haven't done illegal stuff but I'm still taking care of my identity. You don't want me to ever link your personal data to any of your accounts, right? Well, then take care of your identity and don't let me find out who you are. Simple as that.

The thing is, I personally think preserving your identity isn't of much help at all if you only do it when using cryptocurrencies. I've seen people use VPNs and Tor and all that shit for a tx and then turn them all off and wildly browsing any website they encounter and using the least privacy-focused apps. If you want to preserve it, then do it all ways possible or it's not worth the headache.

I personally think it is certainly worth it to keep yourself anonymous. Your personal data is worth a lot of money, why give it away for free? Why let a crazy dude be able to link your data together to find something you may not even think about?

I'm going off Google, Facebook and everything else. Fuck control, I want to be under my own and I do not want to encounter these slowly abusive corporations anymore.

I like being fair: if they can censor my posts, then let me censor my identity.
2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 28, 2020, 07:43:48 PM
I'm going to sit back and watch the insane volatility. Tough, scary and risky times, the only thing I can say is safe is earning crypto without paying anything for it (so freelancing, bounty hunting, sig campaigns etc).. Keep working, don't let the time pass while you're sitting at home doing nothing Wink
2757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are having the difficult time, are you still a Bitcoin HODL? on: March 28, 2020, 06:13:34 PM
To be honest, I'm pretty skeptical about the destiny of the markets. I would rather hold cash because with this lockdown you surely do want to continue having electicity and money for food (or for rent).

Therefore, I just cannot afford risking to put my money in BTC and then have it lowered by 20-30℅ due to market dumps. Moreover, the hyperinflation adds up to this value decrease and there you have it: a big disaster.
2758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KYC bad for crypto? on: March 28, 2020, 02:35:16 PM
KYC is making everything more legal. Its not so good for crypto but important part of adoption unfortunately

In theory, it does. In practice though, it's different. I have all respect for those companies implementing KYC the right way: wanna sign up? First, prove your identity. only THEN, you are allowed to register on the platform. Most companies, even some of the most known ones, abuse the policy to their own advantage leaving their customers without access to their funds.

So no, I don't agree at all with the KYC policy.
2759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guys avoid panic sell... on: March 28, 2020, 09:19:25 AM
This is what literally is happening! Personally, I sell some of my crypto to buy goods and to survive this crisis. Here in our country, we are on community quarantine and no one is allowed to go out! all of public transportation are down and people should stay home. I sell some of my investments and buy goods to survive considering that we don't know when it is going to end. We don't need to worry about the price, we should be worried on our health right now.
Hence the crypto, commodities and stocks dump. I said it before - it was pretty predictable (but I found out too late). Next comes the big dump and then the rise of most important assets. And because gold and silver is of absolutely no help during a pandemic, I see Bitcoin finally becoming the Digital Gold. But how widely is it really going to be used? Because I'd rather see a scenario of digital fiat taking the power than Bitcoin - BTC simply won't be let to take it.
2760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KYC bad for crypto? on: March 28, 2020, 04:52:29 AM
As much as I dont want KYC, there are some things Ive done in the past involving KYC and yes I did regret about it giving information to receive tokens for bounty. But Ive changed now and limit the kyc process to a much huge environment.

Take a look on this post OP. Why KYC is extremely dangerous and useless When I read this, it turns me back to the time I am doing it and I realize its really not good. Identity theft is worse and I dont want to put on that situation. Some agree on KYC but this is a process where decentralization will be destoryed if continue to patronize.
Oh man, if you have given your personal information for a supposedly free bounty then you paid a big price for it. Your personal data is worth a lot and can be resold as many times as someone wants to. You're also supporting the opposite of what we're trying to achieve but miserably failed..

I guess many of us have given personal data away at some point, but I'm lucky I always give every website a different and fake birthdate, name or username. Smiley
