I agree. It's also stunning how after a certain war happened, in which the U.S gained more oil, people still think that only certain people can be terrorist. Some people cling to the idea of certain ideals and morals make terrorist, and also the way they dress make them extremists. Some media outlets also uphold these statements, and only post 'those' stories, in which, they don't talk about what the U.S or any other country has done to a degree. When I see some Muslim women where I live, people automatically want to stray away from them.
They think the way they dress automatically align them with our 'ideas' of extremists or terrorists. Yet, if I told them the U.S basically stole soil to engage in a bigger source of wealth, they'll swear that the U.S was protecting us.
No smoke without fire I guess.

How can people still be this idiotic? World War II happened decades ago. Really long time to learn from mistakes... That happened because of... What? Mostly Isolation, and not wanting to aid in the fight.
Europe is still infected with nationalism, and with nationalism comes xenophobia, racism and everything else. I've read a lot of the anti-Semitic propaganda from 100 years ago, it's so frighteningly similar to what I read being written about Muslims today. "To lie, cheat and swindle?" That's why we still have the verb "to Jew" someone, meaning to lie to them, to cheat or swindle them. "still infected with nationalism"?!? Thanks to God! There's still hope. Bad news for you mate: apart from the brainwashed liberals and leftist most of us here in Europe are indeed proud about our nations, our history, our traditions, our legacy and our achievements. Even worse news: from year to year more and more Europeans finding their way back to their roots.

So... The husband has to say "I divorce you" three times. It has to be done over a certain period of time (months) and they have to try some couseling to save the mariage. Wow, what an unholy PITA, no wonder he just killed the first wife. More importantly: "If husband asks for divorce and intercourse has occurred, he pays full dowry." Well, he invented a more cost effective way to divorce.

Thats really reassuring if you would buy my kiddie porn for gold . Anonymous cards and irc drug "stores" were invented long before silkroad...

Always the same pro-regulation bullshit . Moaning about cheaters, criminals and pedos... yeah these things surely didn't existed before 2009 and actually nobody used cash, gold, whatever store of value for cheating, trading drugs and buying pedophile stuff, right? Are we really stuffed with idiots here, or this feeling is just my paranoia ?

I honestly believe that we are so dependent on technology that if the internet goes down, gold won't even be worth anything. If the internet goes down, that means no electricity and no utilities of any kind anywhere. At that point I wouldn't trade a gun, bag full of food, and medicine for even a handful gold coins. Gold coins aren't going to feed or protect and sustain a person for very long.
If it was 30 years ago before tech became integral in our lives, yes, I would say gold was the way to go. Not right now. I know lots of teenagers that would much rather have a $700 smartphone than a $700 gold chain. In fact if it was an either or scenario, I don't even know one young person that would take the gold chain over a smartphone. Gold just isn't valuable to young people anymore.
I think Bitcoin is the clear winner.
Who cares about young ppl? If someone would take a $700 smartphone (what will worth only $500 after three month and fity bucks on ebay after a year) over a $700 piece of gold will deserve the worst fate . Gold will always worth something. You can always sell it to the nearest jewelry if needed and even in a SHTF scenario you can go to the local farmers and you will have a chance to exchange your wedding ring to a bag of potatoes . Until people think that after the crisis everything gonna be alright again they will accept gold. Not quite so sure about smartphones and paper wallets.

Most pedos were captured by using "baits" and infiltrating into their networks not by analyzing their transactions. Same thing applies to most other criminals. So suggesting zero anonymity and continuous surveillance is not just dangerously dumb but mostly useless. If OP want such goodies then he should move to North Korea .

The U.S. military is specifically designed to soak taxpayers, not fight wars. During the last 40 years it has consistently excelled at the former, and failed at the later.
Actually the US military is pretty good I think. But going there, quickly winning the war and then get the hell out of there isn't as good business as tinkering there for a couple of years and dropping more stuff on any random shitholes then on Dresden in '45.

being paranoid about your government is healthy, but when you are talking about crazy conspiracy theories like how there are 13 inbred alien species in government plotting to take over the world.. then you are just a schizophrenic kook.
OK. The 13 alien species stuff is really looks like a bit of hyperbole. Actually pure breed human politicians can be much worse than the most badass aliens. Just take a look at the history books.

The 13 inbred European Bloodlines of the Terrorist organization Illuminati wants all the gays and lesbians to be on their side. They know that churches oppose gays and lesbians, so now they want to be the good guys to the gays and lesbians to push through their agendas.
You will now start seeing a lot of gays and lesbians on your TV.
We can see gays and lesbians on the TV since decades. Promoting them is a simple liberal/leftist preparation for elections. Same thing applies to almost any other minorities.

tila tequila, a fellow vietnamese compatriot of the OP, was a hot topic on reddit last night. turns out she has the classic symptoms of schizophrenia. she seemed really paranoid about the government and other conspiracies, and it reminds me of actor tom truong. he is a schizo if it turns out he's not actually a troll. have a look at her statements on the illuminati https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lVSCWdxYVkWell, being paranoid about governments is more like survival instinct than schizophrenia .

I don't get it. Why that logo would be a "politically incorrect meme"?

I don't think so. BTC and LTC are more or less reliable and trustworthy coins. The darkcoin, dogecoin and the rest... well, not quite so trustworthy as BTC or LTC (if I wanna be polite).

The anonymity of the devs doesn't really matter until they keep supporting their brainchild and they are not scamming.

I wouldn't agree with OP even if CureCoin would be the only "mine for good" coin. There are primecoin, gridcoin, and now curecoin. Neither primecoin nor gridcoin was able to beat LTC. All three would deserve that as these coins doing something useful, but LTC has too much investment, too big hashrate, too big "installed base" to be beaten easily. Certainly it's possible to hype and pump it "to da moon" (as we seen in the case of auroracoin) but I'm afraid that won't last long.

If the power or the Internet goes down or just decide to move rural Wales, my gold is still gold and has a value, my bitcoins will hanging somewhere in the virtuality until I can find a McDonald's. So gold wins. If someone in the wild finds a way to hack the bitcoin protocol my BTC will worth zero (unlikely but could happen). Gold wins again. If you have to make a business with a gold-bug who doesn't care about bitcoin... gold. If I want to give a gift to my wife... gold. If the Blackwater guys in Ukraine get drunk and/or stoned and mix the freedom fighters with the 4th Guards Division then no difference, but molten gold coins looks better than a charred laptop ... gold again. As you can see it depends on the situation. So diversification wins.

Unlikely. Maybe Paypal will adopt BTC (and less likely LTC) in some form if they see it as competitive advantage over other payment systems.
