1 year too late.

This would be golden last january.

Now ROI is 250+ days at current speed, difficulty and price, right?
Within those 250 it will probably double if things keep evolving like they do.

Well assuming all is good about the miner.  zero quality problems.  works well fast shipping.

the next issues are:

 what coin will work?

what is a good coin?

how easy is changing the software?

this unit may allow for mobile card up grades  and what I like most  is the small size with neat wires.

27522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Size of your mining farm? on: December 12, 2016, 11:25:16 PM
I have two 30 amp 240 volt sockets

Thus I could do 24 x 240 plus the same or about 11200 watts.

Problem is the house would be too hot

So I run around 5000 watts.

my order was due to arrive today 40 minutes ago.  but fedex site has it in Hong Kong    as of 9 hours ago.

This will be my first auto tune gear. For the s9

Dear Friends, Thank You very much for info and advice about ASUS R390x!

I just bought this Asus R390x. This is absolutely new video card. I didn't do any overclock. It has very good one(I beleive)  fabric cooler, hope there is good connection with radiator and chip...

I don't want to lose this card(about 500$) for 48$ in month and wondering: How long can live this card 24/7 doing minning with 85 degree C ?

If just one year : I will eat shit  for free Grin Grin Grin In one year I will made 550$ minus electricity and will be that card still workable after this job...

Cheers

BTW card has almost all time in mining about 85-86 degree fans have from 45 till 55% may be if it will be critical temperature fans will have more %?
Or I have better to set up fans manual ?

Just downclock and under volt.  The card stays cool.

Hi Philip, looking forward to see your review of the Pandaminer when it reaches you.
Am I correct to assume that this is an aggregator board / box for AMD GPUs up to 8 x GPUs?

yes it should have 8 mobile rx 480 gpus inside it.

this is almost certainly a data center /warehouse miner .

a guy with power to spare and no room.

At 2000 usd it is fairly well priced

I just need to know software power sound heat stats  to know how good it is.

The problem with these types of "start-up" mining manufacturing companies is that they basically have no capital. So the only way they can produce these miners at mass quantity is for large amounts of capital, which they don't have.

So its the same story as always. They only accept BTC, and with enough orders they can order parts from suppliers, and then they build the miners which can take months. However like in the past... in 6 months ZEC/ETH might not be profitable at all OR when they finally build these miners in 3 months... they will mine with them for 3 months and ship them 3 months after that ... like it was in the past with many Bitcoin ASICs.

So Philipma might get some demo unit next month but they can't accept any more Paypal payments only Bitcoin and telling when those actually units ships is anybodies guess.

Hi, we already under production, bro , we all know paypal is the way to product buyer, and easy to get account frozen, that why we can not accept paypal payment. BUT now, we  made promise to send
an sample to Philipma, and we will make it.Hope you understand!

I  have been contacted via email and I have been offered a  demo model:

Hi,
Really sorry for what we said, we are just the fresh man of shipping aboard, so we are cautious.
Also, we heard lot of bad things about paypal, quite risky to use it, easy to get account frozen.
We are wondering how to build trusty between us, so we decided to send you miner before you pay, which means
We agree to your request for payment upon arrival of the goods.
Or we send you as a demo, then after the test you send back to us.
We will be responsible for all the freight.
You can choose anyway ,hope you can understand.
 Look forward for your reply.

Best Regards,

PandaMiner Service

I will post all tests here  I may ship it back Or I may buy it if I like it.

So lets hope I get it soon.

This look like it can be used in a data center more then a home setup.
We shall soon (I Hope ) know.

I want to thank PandaMiner for contacting me. I am willing to give a person a break and their email was nice.
As I said I see a purpose for this gear.

The thread is an interesting read.

i need help I do not know anything, they can not recommend me anything, no matter the price, I want to know if it is profitable, please

Okay it is profitable if you have a decent pc already built and your power is under 13 cents  a kwatt.

If you don't have any gear at all that is a different story.

So

a ) what part of the world do you live in?  I ask because the price of gear  and power varies place to place.
b)   what is your power cost  please use usa cents per kwatt
c) what kind of a pc do you own?
d) if you don't have any good gear do you need a pc for other things.

here is a store built pc that would make money if you owned it already and if you went to buy it it would not make a profit  for a long time.

The following is about ETH mining

SOME blue screen/ MOST black screen/ ALL 4mhs bug all are about the display driver for hdmi.

It comes it goes. XFX and Sapphire do it most.

I use hdmi/dvi/display cables and adapters  and usually one of them will fix  a rig.  I also move the cable from jack to jack to jack to jack on all four cards.

the 7mhs bug is when the card is too hot .

I am old school I use dvi monitors  with dvi/usb/kvm switches.

I got 3 monitors at 59 each sale at best buy
I got 3 switches at 75 each used on ebay

I can do 12 rigs in my garage and one in my den

52 card max.

I will also get some going at the solar array

i am using the same build as phills. however I am having some trouble

I am having trouble having all 4 cards to mine at full speed, when all 4 of them are plugged in one gpu always mines at 4mhs instead of 24mhs, i have tested all cards individually and all work, i have testeded all slots individually and they work,
please please help me kind souls

that bug has occurred with a few of us.

what cards do you use.

I have exactly the same bug.

MB - Z97 GAMING 5. All cards are RX 480 Nitro+ (on powered risers)

Tried everything - always one card  is 4MH/s

Is it the card with the monitor hooked up to it? If so, put the monitor on a different card

yeah sapphire and xfx have this issue.

swap the monitor cable  from card to card.

also if you are an hdmi cable try using this

https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Gold-Plated-DisplayPort/dp/B004C9P9TM/ref=sr_1_2?

or if the card has a dvi  jack

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014I8UU2W/ref=sr_ph_1?

all miners should have a few of the above  they have helped me with black screen issues and with the dreaded 4mh bug
27532  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: December 11, 2016, 03:19:54 PM
Yes. No.

Completely off topic but I was in my attic and found a huge stash of caps.

I have zero need as my eyes can't see well enough to solder well.

I can mail a large flat rate box as I know some of the caps have to fit your needs.

Pm me your address I will mail them on Monday .

There are thousands of caps in the 5 gallon bucket .
27533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Size of your mining farm? on: December 11, 2016, 02:31:43 PM
interesting as to what is small  as 50 gpus  is pretty big for small.

my 4 card rigs pull 400 watts and do 700 h at zec

I have 33 cards running

so 40 cards = 4000 watts

50  cards = 5000 watts

I suppose  that is a good number to use 5000 watts or less = small.
27534  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining is over on: December 11, 2016, 02:27:38 PM
in my country 1kw= 0.03 usd)

Nice  you are lucky.

In my house 12.7 cents  So I mine gpu cards in the winter  the heat for my home and the coins I make a few bucks.

I have 2 hosting deals  with free power but 50-50 split on the coins.

I have about 50th in the two spots.

Less than 1kw.
Still makes me think how far asics have come.
The chassis means business.
Id love to be able to hear its noise output.
Any chance of a youtube clip?

I could do a Facebook clip.

but it is in my friends office.  which means thurs night would be the soonest I can do it.

I could bring the sound meter and my camera.

This is a good piece of gear for an office.

Power and internet are pretty stable 80 to 100 days at a time with no dropouts.

temps are never lower then 60f or higher then 85f
27540  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining is over on: December 10, 2016, 11:37:36 PM
I think bitcoin mining is no longer profitable now in most countries due to the increase in difficulty level and increase in power cost?

what are your thoughts guys?

I have s9 here and I'm losing $$ .... the price of 1 kw is roughly 0.13 USD

why did you buy if your power is .13 usd?

it has been well documented that .08   is meh  and .06 is decent for earning money  you were not close at .13
