I don't see Real Madrid as the certain favourite for now either. Apart from that it is still too early to make this kind of predictions. I mean we don't know how strong Real Madrid are going to play this time and whether Barcelona will keep up the good work also. It is seen that Barcelona have improved themselves very much of course. After mentioning de Ligt in the Italian League thread I'm now hearing about an offer for him. It can be just a rumour as well so I haven't confirmed it yet. But Bayern Munich might have made an offer worth €90m to sign him. This is really an unbelievable offer I think. I didn't know Bayern Munich as this much eager to sign a defender now. As they wouldn't make substantial changes in their squad I understand why they aren't seeing this amount a big problem as well.
Obviously, this is not a very big deal for a club like Bayern Munich. This is because they are winning the league title every year. This means they have a lot of money to bring in players that they feel are critical to the squad. I don’t mind a club like Bayern Munich spending a lot of money to make a better squad. I haven’t heard of Sevilla making big transfers. They did bring in a defender but they really need attacking players who are really adept at scoring goals. I don’t think they will be able to achieve any decent results in the next season. And about Barcelona, I don’t think it is about having that amount of money anymore. Their priority is to convince Lewandowski to stay and even if they fail, they already signed with Mane from Liverpool. Tottenham are unstoppable in the transfer window as they are almost landing every player on their rader. All thanks to Anthonio Conte who's making this happen, he is a man that knows what he wants and definitely will go for any player he wants at the moment. One thing with Tottenham is that they know how to handle deal with players in the transfer window. Conte is taking his time to change the team lineups last season, and it's a good one for the club and the players. Although, Conte probably need to build a strong squad, since Tottenham will be playing the Champions League next season.
Tottenham made some good and clever transfers so far this summer there is no doubt about that, but i would not say, that they are unstoppable or totally dominating the transfer market or stuff like that. I think the transfer of Ivan Perisic which has cost them no transfer fee at all was a very good and smart move because Perisic is still good enough to help every team in europe even if he will probably not be in the starting eleven. The signing of Richarlison is also a pretty big deal, but he was also rather expensive so this was definitely not a clever transfer coup. I don't think that the transfers that they have done so far will bring them on the same level with Liverpool or ManCity. When TottenHam told Kane not to leave the club and convinced the player that they have some exciting plans ahead, I know that something like this is going to happen. As a result, this is not a very big surprise to me. Tottenham should perform better in the coming season if anything. Furthermore, nearly all of the teams in the English Premier League are trying to make drastic changes. This is so that they can perform better than last season. And that's why I think this time the league is going to be a lot more competitive. So, it is going to be really challenging to achieve more effective results. |
