In the match between England and India, many thought that England would win tomorrow. Many bet on England. But the performance that India showed yesterday was really heartbreaking Hardik Pandey, Suraiya Yadav and Deepak Huda really touched the hearts of the spectators. India won the match by 50 runs. The next match, of course, will be England's preparation for a good game I think I will be able to enjoy the second T20 match beautifully.
Seriously I was very hopeful that it's an easy win for England but first Indian batting was too good having scored mammoth 198 which in itself is a very tedious task to do and then bowling so well to save the 198, especially Pandya was just commendable alone. The whole English batting collapsed like anything, Buttler, Livingstone, Malan all of them really struggled. I think the match was fixed. Otherwise it was an easy for the english player. English players looked so helpless and casual on the field. They were not playing at all. They were coming on the field to come back to pavilion. Very disappointing match and waste of time. Yes, you are correct all matches where India has won to date are fixed  even the worldcup matches too. Fixed statements of yours only prove how dominating and skillfully team India won the match. I have no doubt now that you have an excellent sense of understanding the game of cricket after reading your reply. Virat Kohli has to realize that if he wants to play further for the Indian cricket team and cement his place in the team this is his time. BCCI have tried a lot of players to replace Virat Kohli, however, none of those players have succeeded and have not shown a good enough performance.
Virat Kohli has been involved in a lot of dumb things like black lives matters and anti cracker movement. He was too politically motivated to do anything positive for the team or himself. This should be his cue to improve on his recent form and cement his position in the team again. And he has to realize that nepotism is not the way to get him anywhere or anyone else for that matter.
I don't see any encouraging signs coming from Virat. One thing that he could do is to play more domestic cricket, so that he will regain his form. But so far he has refused to do that. When was the last time he played for Delhi? If he believes that Indian domestic cricket is substandard, then he can always opt for county cricket in England. But he prefers to spend any free time he gets with family. I don't think that there is anything wrong in that, but then the question comes about how long the selectors need to persist with him in the playing XI. The last century scored by Virat Kohli was in 2019 against Bangladesh in a day and night test match. After that, he has been hovering around double figures only. It is time for him to either retire or BCCI should drop him permanently from test cricket. I have also not seen him performing well in ODI or in T20 cricket. Cricket legends have already started questioning his performance and it won't be that long that Indian selectors do the same. |

Sri lanka vs Australia
After a very easy win against Sri Lanka in the first Test, Australia entered the field in the second Test today. Australia won the toss and elected to bat. And they are playing well enough. However, he returned to the dressing room after collecting only 5 runs. However, Labuschange was able to collect 104 runs. Australia lost 3 wickets to collect 216 runs. My guess is Australia will collect more than 400 in the first innings.
It's 233 for 3. Steve Smith is still unbeaten on 70 runs and Travis Head is unbeaten on 9. Australia will bat about 19 more overs today. If the batting disaster does not happen, Australia will collect more than 300 runs today. The Australian batsmen are batting very carefully. Apart from Labuschange, no other batsman had a strike rate of more than 50. If the Sri Lankan bowlers can't get Smith out today, Australia will undoubtedly collect more than 500 and Sri Lanka will lose by a huge margin. Travis Head failed to play well in today's match as well as in the first match. He returned to the dressing room after collecting only 12 runs. Australia lost the fifth wicket for 252 runs. As long as Steve Smith is at the crease, there will be a possibility of a big collection for Australia. If Smith will out, I think the rest of Australia's batsmen will return to the dressing room quickly. The pitch seems to be a bit helpful in bowling. And the spin bowlers are cooperating enough. Prabath Jayasuriya was able to take 3 wickets. It seems to me that collecting 380 runs on such a pitch is enough. I do not think there will be any difference with the result of this test match. I am pretty confident that Australia will win this test match too. Unless the rain god's play a spoil sport. Australia will be targeting 400+ runs and they are in a very comfortable position now with 290 runs. Smith is still batting and has already reached his century. |

India's win against England was only possible because of Hardik Pandya. His contribution as a batter was excellent. England could have easily reached the target of 198 runs if he hadn't picked up wickets in regular intervals. I was expecting India to score more than 200 runs but as usual most Indian batters seem to only hit the ball and forget that rotating the strike can also help in scoring runs.

Ranji > India A > National team
Likes of Vihari, Gill, Iyer, Siraj etc has a good record in Ranji and India A that's why they got picked in the first place. They do have some problems and they have to address them without any doubt but at the same time you have to give them a long rope. Likes of Mohsin Khan has a very long way to go, he didn't showed any extra ordinary skill in red ball so far that he should be fast tracked, he's no way Bumrah. Natarajan will not play test cricket as he's already 31, at best he might feature in 3-4 matches that's it. Prasidh Krishna will surely play in future. Well.. I posted about it, because Hanuma Vihari is having a test batting average of less than 35. The average for the current Indian squad is >45. For comparison, Ravindra Jadeja has a batting average of 36.56 and he is not a yet regular in the Indian test side. Same with Siraj as well. His test bowling average is close to 31, which is far from impressive. Given his inability to bat, I don't believe that there is any logic in giving him chances again and again. For both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, the average is in the 20s. Why do you see only Hanuma Vihari, when the godfather of Indian cricket Virat Kholi is performing consistently bad and is still in the team? If anyone you people need to replace is this man, Virat Kholi. I think he is still in the team because of his name only and no recent good performance. I remember we used to have shahid Afridi in our team for a long long time even though he performed consistently bad, but he had an advantage that he was a part time bowler too. I also not sure why Kohli is still part of the test squad or the ODI. He has been given enough opportunities but he still remain inconsistent. I do not think he will selected if his performance does not improve soon. He is getting rested a lot it seems and someday he might himself declare his retirement. |

Now White ball cricket will take over all the attention as WC are coming up. First T-20 and then ODI. BCCI has announced ODI squad for series (22 NOV) against Windies . Some rotation and experiment is going on every format, be it captaincy, vice captaincy etc. I guess many of em might play their 1st ODI game in this series.  I don’t mind a team like India trying some things out against a team like West Indies. India is multiple levels above of West Indies in any format of cricket. So, it is not going to be a big problem for India to win against West Indies even if they don’t play with their main squad. It is obvious that they are going to try some things out before the World Cup. And the series against West Indies seems to be a good place to try things out for India right now. Cricket is going to get a boost in popularity because of these tournaments in my opinion. Especially if the WIPL takes place it is going to be a revolutionary step in cricket. Good to see Dhawan getting to captain the Indian side in this tour. By the way the series starts from 22 July and November. It is will not be that easy for the Indian side to play against the WI as all matches will be played in Port of Spain. Home ground advantage cannot be ignored for the WI side. Why did they ignore Umran Malik for this seris is questionable as generally pitches in WI are favourable for fast bowlers like him. |

Organising more tours for U-19 and A team should be their priority. We have seen how Indian U-19 team has performed in the past couple of years. A lot of them are now part of the IPL and from their they are being selected into the Indian squad. BCB is a money rich board but I think corruption and favourism might be eating it up.
Outside the pig-4, U-19 and A team tours have become a rarity now. I don't know the exact reason for this. And this is not the case only with Bangladesh, but with other countries such as South Africa and Sri Lanka as well. As a result, the emerging players don't have a platform to showcase their skills. And at the same time, globally the importance for U-19 tours have gone down. This year's U-19 world cup was won by India, but the viewership for the matches were down compared to the previous editions. Maybe the tournament needs to change it's format from 50 over to 20 over. I think both 50 overs and 20 overs format should be introduced to make the tournament intresting. Of course they can call the 20 overs format as U-19 T20 worldcup. The viewership of T20 format is currently more than ODI or test, the simple reason behind it is that it is short and doesn't consume a whole day. If ICC cannot implement it then the respective boards should conduct bilateral matches to improve the quality of players. |

BCB needs to spend more money in providing and improving their resources for these players. If these players are performing good in domestic cricket and league cricket but not in international cricket then something is nit right with selection and training. I don't see any future for Bangladesh if they continue playing like a bunch of ameatures. They are bad in all formats of cricket as of now.
Here are my suggestions to improve the quality of domestic cricket in Bangladesh: 1. Give importance to region-based teams over the Dhaka based clubs 2. Encourage local players to play domestic cricket in England and other SENA nations 3. Encourage foreign players to participate in Bangladeshi domestic cricket 4. There is a catch when you say that the BCB is richer than CSA or WICB. Domestic revenues may be higher for the former when compared to the other two boards. But CSA and WICB receive a few million USD every year in the form of IPL foreign player release fees. Taking that in to account, I would say that BCB is poorer than the other two. And the political interference makes the situation even worse for the players. And I agree with the last part. Domestic cricket needs a complete revamp in Bangladesh.
BCB is at the 5th position in the top richest cricket board list. They aren't a poor cricket board. BCB continuously getting lot's of money from the sponsors. The main problem is that Bangladeshi player doesn't give much concentration on the T20 and test format. They plays with the fear of getting out quickly. BCB is giving opportunity to those players who has done well in domestic cricket and BPL. But those players has failed to show their performance in the international matches. Perhaps, fear is the main reason for this failure. BCB needs to spend more money in providing and improving their resources for these players. Unbelievable consistent performance by the English test cricket team. What a crazy chade they have been doing so far. First it was Newzealand and now it is against India. They can easily chade a target of 250+ and they make it look so simple. 378 runs chase and the batting performance of Bairstow is simply unbelievable.
Now it has to win remaining all test matches they will play in order for them to get entry for the finals of world test championship.

Not much left in this match now. England are in a very comfortable position they only need 100 runs and I am sure they will easily achieve it. Root and Bairstow are now set batters and it won't be a big of task for tail ender to reach that target incase if both of them get out. Unless the Indian bowlers do something different.

Despite losing the match, Shakib Al Hasan scored an unbeaten 68 runs off 52 balls. However, I expected another batter to step up, yet BAN failed once again. Bangladesh lost by a huge margin despite Shakib staying till the end. It was actually a slow innings, and not up to the standard of T20 matches when you have a big target. They will only win against Zimbabwe and associate nations, but not against WI at home with this approach. Nevertheless, the hosts put on a fantastic performance all around!
WI is not in great form these days still it won comfortably against Bangladesh. Bangladesh should try to find players other then shakib who can play match winning innings. Right now whole Bangladeshi team performance revolves around Shakib. Just look at the score card of 2nd T20I, there is no one who batted other than shakib. Bangladesh has become a team that cannot play any format of cricket for now of you ask my opinion. They niether can bat now can bowl in their homeground. Just imagine a team unable to utilize the resources provided by their own ground staff. I expected a good innings from Rishab Panth but as usual subcontinent batters are always inconsistent. In my opinion Kholi should retire now and BCCI should think about shreyas Iyer future. Either Kholi forgot to bat or he is just playing stupid this cannot be a form issue as the way he got out was like an amateur.
The difference between a seasonal batter and an inform batter is Rishab Panth and Bairstow. If Bairstow goes on then India will lose this match.

Even though there is interruption due to rain, the scoring for the day is taking place without much difference. In a single day England started the innings at 85 runs and have reached 284 runs. Then India have begun it's innings and have scored 125 runs. Altogether 324 runs have been scored in a single day. This is good scoring in a single day. If this kind of scenario continues we'll get the result on this match. Both teams have got advantage out of the rain, lets wait what is gonna happen by the last two days.
Although the match was delayed due to rain, the match is not likely to be abandoned. I also checked the weather report. And so if England doesn't want to lose badly in this match, they have to play well. England is now 257 runs behind. The collection of India is 125 runs. If English bowlers can stop India within 250, then England will have a chance to win this match. But if India gives more than 400 runs target, this match will be under India's control. Batting against more than 400 runs on the fifth day is very difficult to win. India has already a lead of 257 runs. Panth is in excellent form and Pujara has already reached his 50. It will be very easy for India to get a lead of more than 350 runs. India is totally in control of the match now. Only rain can be an issue otherwise I do not foresee any issues. |

This interruptions will surely help England, and in the same over Jonny Bairstow was given lbw wicket. Jonny Bairstow went for a review and umpire changed his decision from out to not out. When everyone are eagerly looking for the century of Bairstow, rain have interrupted.
He only need 9 runs, he will surely get his century. I think he is the only one batter from the English team who has been consistently performing. You are expecting an almost impossible scenario. Bairstow and Stokes are their last pair of proper batsmen and they will buckle due to heavy pressure. It will take a miracle for them to try and defeat India at this stage. Bumrah and Siraj will continue ripping through their batting order in my opinion. I feel that India has already won the test series at this point. Yes, Indians are way ahead in this test match and 90% chances are that they will win it easily unless we see a miracle from here. The only hope for the England team is to save the follow on which seems quite impossible. A poor and disappointing performance by the England team. I wasn't expecting them to bat like that. Don't expect that Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes can recover from here. There is too much pressure now. I still rely on the England team. India were able to score 416 runs only for Rishab Pant and Jadeja's outstandong batting. England's Bairstow and Stokes are still at the crease. If this pair is able to play well, England will be able to collect more than 300 easily. However, if these two batsmen are out quickly, it will be difficult for England to follow on. But I believe the pair of Bairstow and Stokes will be able to play well. Rishab Panth and Jadeja formed a good partnership while they were batting earlier. Panth was going after the English bowlers whereas jadeja was rotating the strike. Bairstow and Stokes have done the same when they were playing against Newzealand. ODI eh? I don't remember when was the last time i watched the ODI, may be last WC idk. I didn't even looked at the tally once and only got to know about that when you mentioned this thingy sometime back. Anyway it's good to see that smaller boards are also getting bilateral series, we need more of that as it's still not enough, specially from PIG-3. I have the same opinion. Bilateral series is only for hardcore fans. People like me prefer either ICC tournaments, or triangular/quadrangular series involving multiple teams, but these type of tournaments are no longer being organized by the cricket boards. In fact, I forget when for the last time I heard about a triangular series. Previously such tournaments used to be hosted by cities such as Sharjah, Singapore and Toronto. But everything came to a halt because of the packed international calendar. I agree with you. The tri-series tend to be very exciting and enjoyable. But now the countries are not interested in hosting the tri-nation series. Perhaps because they have a busy schedule, or maybe the tri-series is less profitable for the board. But as a general spectator, the tri-series is very enjoyable. I remember later, we used to watch the Asia Cup. It was very exciting. But after 2018, Asia Cup was not held. I also agree tri series are much more enjoyable to watch then bilateral series. I hope one of the big board comes out and organize a tri series with big teams. I do not think a tri series is less profitable but with so much cricket being played throughout the year scheduling one might be complicated. |

It was unthinkable that they would end their innings at 416 after losing top-order five batsmen by just 98 runs. Even in the last wicket partnership, India scored 41 runs. I say it's because of the stupidity of England's bowlers. If they had bowled in a controlled manner, India would have finished their innings by 320. I still do not have an idea why the English bowlers were so sluggish. The performed good when they were playing against Newzealand and suddenly they are missing out on everything. Yesterday, the whole team wangeared up but as Rishabh Pant started slaughtering them both bowlers and fielders were losing their momentum. Sometimes you cannot expect the wrong and then you start committing mistakes that lead to your end. England have already lost two wickets and now the game got delayed because of rain. I hope the match starts soon or a day will be lost. |
