2761  Other / Beginners & Help / Did you backup your wallet.dat? on: August 31, 2012, 02:08:06 PM
You never backuped your wallet? Then you deserve to lost that btc.

Heh.  Maybe we can get the devs to make the client pop up a dialog box with this quote the first time it starts.
Would be nice  Cheesy

But well, it's not a bitcoin-only thing. Almost no one do backups, not until they lose something of value. Then they will cry and then maybe they will start backuping.

+1, to me these "zerohedge" people seems a bunch of idiots
2769  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-08-29 Zerohedge: Currency Competition on: August 29, 2012, 10:32:04 PM
They will come here, in the future, crying that "omg, early adopters have an unfair advantage, they bought bitcoin when they were cheaper and now are rich, while i was busy on the zerohedge website trolling and insulting ppl who use bitcoin. But now i too want to be rich, bawwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

2771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So what happens to lost bit coins? on: August 29, 2012, 06:23:50 PM
The same thing that happens to gold when the galleon that is transporting it sinks
2772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FPGA MINING? on: August 29, 2012, 06:15:30 PM
Mining will change. Trust me. The asics will become useless. GPU mining is the way to do it. If those things will make 300$ proffit a month they wil change the code. Bitcoin's will loose their value if the asics take it over. They won't let this happen. Remember what is said!
Bullshit. Stop spreading fud.

2774  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What are the chances of an address collision? and what happens when it does? on: August 29, 2012, 05:58:22 PM
An address collision would be a SHA256 collision

And if you find a SHA256 collision then bitcoin is the last of our problem

2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, a noble cause!: Watsi.org (a Bitcoin100 funding suggestion) on: August 29, 2012, 04:49:34 PM
I too agree about the save Africa scams.

Billions and billions poured in Africa, only to make local warlords happy that they can buy moar weapons and bigger estates.

Do you want to really "save africa"? Well, watch the movie Sahara, you will see the problem and the solution. Yes, "pulling a Panama" is part of the solution.

2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iranian players are blocked from playing WoW: an opportunity for Bitcoin? on: August 29, 2012, 03:04:32 PM
"Yes, lets anger a group of people in a deeply anti-western country who are probably one of the most likely demographics to support us."

Can't see how this helps, really.

Actually, the people of Iran is much more "western" than in most other countries in that region. It's the (Iranian) government that is the problem, but it's the people that suffer most from the sanctions (making them gradually turn against us)...
+1
the government should be punished, not the people. But the exact opposite is happening
2777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iranian players are blocked from playing WoW: an opportunity for Bitcoin? on: August 29, 2012, 02:39:17 PM

IF it ever appears
If it appears your 6990s will be good for heating the house for the winter and nothing more
2780  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you miners ever feel bad all pollution mining causes? on: August 29, 2012, 11:16:47 AM
yea but adding bitcoin just adds more carbon into the air without reducing the demand on paper money at all. But if that's the rationale you use to keep you guilt free do ya thing
Again, bullshit. We use bitcoin so we reduce the demand for all the traditional things. Tell me, how much do paypal servers pollute? How much do all banks datacenters pollute? What about moving money left and right?
