what miner should i use for groestl

I'm using the sgminer  from groestlcoin thread and it's not working on any of the groestl pools for myriad.

I use this one:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0

You need to set -k myriadcoin-groestl to mine MyriadCoin with the Groestl algo.

blackcoin went up from 1000 sat to 90,000 sat because it's pure innovative coin..
zetacoin went up from 800 satoshi to 14,000 satoshi because of adoption in Africa..
MYR combines both innovation + adoption, so hmm..i think it's going to skyrocket
I believe in the innovation of MyriadCoin as well but the other two examples you mention had something else in the mix that MyriadCoin doesn't - scarcity. The MyriadCoin money supply is already larger than the total number of coins for either one of those. In contrast MyriadCoin is certainly a worthy contender as a large money supply alternative with a far more elaborate development than any scrypt coin with a creative block reward structure, such as Doge.

a small question for the blockchain specialists:

Here we have both PoW and PoS blocks which are generated. How the minted block are integrated into the blockchain (since they appears on a randoms basis from almost everywhere.
What happen if the PoS block is generated at the same time as a PoW block ?
Can one or the other become orphan ?
Can be the reason why the other guy as so much orphan minted block ?
PoS blocks are generated in a similar way as PoW blocks but instead of using your hashpower to solve PoW blocks, you are using your stake weight (a combination of coin age and the total number of coins eligible for staking) to solve PoS blocks. Just like in PoW mining, due to latency in the network, you can occasionally solve a PoS block that was already minted by another person. Hence the reason for orphans.

Do you have to have "Setgenerate true" in order to stake your coins and generate interest?
No. Setgenerate is used to mine with the wallet using your CPU hash. As I mentioned, PoS coins are generated using stake weight. You only need to keep the wallet open and unlocked (if locked) for staking to occur once there are coins eligible for staking.

With the dawn of Scrypt ASIC now a reality, I supect we will see more and more of these low mintage Scrypt coins being pushed onto the masses in the coming months in a pure money grab effort to pay off those ASIC miners.

We have premined 50% of coins.
47% to "OPERAZIONE BANDIERA (Op. Bandiera)". Every Italian citizen can redeem 16 LIRE for free. Starts from 02/06/2014 (Republic Day)
2% to IPO - Starts today until 18/04/2014
1% to Developers, Bounty, Giveaway.

Instead of a history lesson pasted from Wikipedia, how about explaining how you plan on distributing the coins and what will you do with the coins that aren't claimed.

Looking for a good stable scrypt pool. No small time stuff please. I dont want to wait hours per block. Need consistency. Smiley Not trying to be mean, but slow pools = slow profit. Smiley

https://myr.nut2pools.com/index.php?

Good and reliable pool with stratum located in FRANCE.

Disclaimer: We realize Conspiracy Coin is not for everyone - it will be too controversial. But, for our supporters, we promise we will over-deliver!

I say the same thing about Alex Jones! Maybe you can get him to support your coin?

P.S. In keeping with the theme of the coin, you should change the block reward to 322, in order to match the Skull & Bones secret society  Grin
2770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]BTCtalkcoin [BCC] Mandatory Wallet Update - Moving towards pure POS on: April 30, 2014, 08:37:19 PM
Does anyone know a pool on the updated code? Dedicatedpool doesn't look like they've done it yet.

https://talk.suprnova.cc has indicated that its updated there.

Sorry folks cannot get the daemon to run - it closes itself after short time, i saw there are other good pools around too, so you might better stick with them at the moment.
Same thing happens with the wallet on Windows 8.1 x64. Definite bug with the current wallet since it doesn't happen with other wallets I have on the same machine.

Need to install new wallet, or is old wallet ok?
Brand new wallet and blockchain. Otherwise you will be mining on the block chain from yesterday. Any coins in the old wallet are lost and won't carry over to the new blockchain. Also coins from the new blockchain won't transfer to the old wallet.

And this is how it looks when you wallet is getting stuck and you mine your own chain again and again..... DAFUQ !

You can write script to close and restart the wallet and then automate it with a scheduled task. First write a batch file to close and reopen the wallet. Name it wallet_restart.bat or something:

Code:
@echo off

:: clears the screen
cls

:: Closes the wallet if already running. Enter your Wallet process name below.
tskill "JackpotCoin-Qt"

:: pauses restart for 1 seconds
PING 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 1000 >NUL

:: starts the Wallet (Use the correct path to your wallet)
start "" "C:\Wallets\JackpotCoin-qt\jackpotcoin-qt.exe" -server

Write a vbs script to open the batch file without opening a command prompt window. Name it wallet_restart_no_bat_window.vbs:

Code:
Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.Run chr(34) & "C:\Wallets\wallet_restart.bat" & Chr(34), 0
Set WshShell = Nothing

You can then schedule a task to run wallet_restart_no_bat_window.vbs every 5 minutes or so.

Block chain not update??

Nope, it's stuck at block 41307 for me too.

Maybe the mining phase ended now its a POS coin?

PoS ? That's not what it says in the announcement. More likely an attack on the network. PoS would have been a good idea for this coin seeing how popular AsiaCoin is.

2777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OC] Orangecoin - Limited POW Distribution Starts NOW! POS Soon. on: April 30, 2014, 05:44:46 AM
premine - as expected the geeks freak out over any premine, this premine is modest and the freak out is overplayed

my analysis:

1 % is MODEST
2-3 % is fair
5 % is limit.

When you consider it is a POS coin 5 % -> Yummy !

This coin has a Premine of 0.5%, so by your standards it is modest or better.  I would agee, this premine does not bother me.

I like the wallet too, it's clean and has lots of shiny bells and whistle type things.

Except for that gawdy splash screen at launch that takes up the WHOLE screen! Nothing splash=0 in the conf won't take of.

Yes,  Huh

Edit: from their twitter: "A relaunch was necessary to preserve our long-term goals. Thank you everyone for the support we have received. UVC will prevail 5PM tomorrow"

thanks!

better to restart clean than be tarnished by one scum bad pool owner who snuck in and screwed it all up for everyone else.

a good beat down is in order... I would gladly allow him a free visit to the Martial Arts school I run.

edit the op with this info please.
Twitter: https://twitter.com/_UniversityCoin

what really sucks is that I lost 13,000 coins that I mined in the 40 minutes or so they were up and running and that does NOT MAKE ME HAPPY!!!

http://postimg.org/image/t5wj9vto3/
The problem is the coins diff adjustment was clearly broken, allowing you and many others with a low latency and decent hash to accumulate a disproportionate number of coins. Even with 1GH/s+ in net hash, the diff remained at less than 1 and with 2000 blocks in the first 30 minutes, multiple blocks were generated per second. So fast my CGminer couldn't even keep up and I wound up with nothing but rejects and orphans despite mining since launch.
